Didn’t realize this place was here. We were hungry and my Hubby pulled into this drive-thru. I was initially disappointed because I was not in the mode for Burger King. But then I quickly realized that this menu was totally different, so I asked where we were. Then he decided to go in to order so we could really look at the menu and decide. This place was very nostalgic. So many memorabilia that I remember from when I was younger. The young lady who took our order was really nice and allowed us to take our time reviewing the menu and ordering. We were with the kids so they enjoyed playing the little sack game and the giant connect four game. I got to take a look around and saw the out door area which looked like a nice place for a small get together space. One of the cooks came out to let us know that they were cooking fresh fries and to apologize for the wait. We appreciated the update and just enjoyed taking a look around while we waited. One of my kids and I had the shrimp and fries, and I added a side of macaroni and cheese. My Hubby had the fish and grits. The my or these two kids had the chicken tenders and fries. All of the food was fresh and delicious. We got home and set down around the table to chat and eat and really enjoyed everything. I really enjoyed the shrimp and it was the perfect amount. We will definitely recommend you stop and eat here and we definitely plan to stop there again to try other items.

At first arrival I pulled up behind another car at the drive thru. I was distracted by my phone conversation. But then I noticed I was waiting some time not sure exactly how long. When it was turn I pulled up to the window someone yelled give me a second(At this point I haven't said anything.. so I am shocked ) I asked Are you talking to me? The lady replied on yes give me a moment ma'am. So I placing my order this my first time here not familiar with the menu. I had just seen the YouTube KC video about how good the food was and wanted to try it. I was shocked by the prices. Once my order was placed the wait afterwards was not long. I ordered the 5 wing plate (these are not whole wings)it came with rice(automatically) I asked for my two sides to be collard greens and Mac and Cheese. The wings, collards, junkie juice are good but the Mac and cheese needs some work. Overall food was good and after seeing the plate I somewhat understand the price however no drink comes with the plate (16.99) and the Junkin Juice was about (3.99) They were out of dessert (lunch time) by 12:20 pm. The customer service was lacking maybe they were having a bad day.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and although it didn't quite live up to my expectations based on what I had seen on social media, I still had a decent experience overall. The restaurant seemed a bit dimly lit at first, and it was almost empty when we arrived, but we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. We tried to place our order at the kiosk, but it wasn't working, so we ended up ordering with a staff member instead. Unfortunately, they were out of some of the specialty items we were hoping to try, like collard greens and conch fritters. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm and the fries were a bit old, but the conch was flavorful and the mac and cheese was pretty good. The rice and yams were also enjoyable, and we particularly loved the lemonade and juice. The soda machine was out of order, but the staff we interacted with, especially the guy with the dreads and the young lady, were friendly and accommodating. Overall, while the experience didn't fully meet my expectations, I would consider giving this restaurant another try or perhaps visiting another location. For the amount of money we spent, I didn't feel it was the best value, but there were still some enjoyable aspects to the meal.

I went to the Pembroke Pines location today and was terribly disappointed. The Cajun rice wasn’t spicy, the Collard greens wasn’t seasoned, the Mac and cheese was alright. Also I forgot to mention the chicken wasn’t seasoned and it wasn’t cooked well, I was able to see the blood inside the meat. I went to this restaurant as a treat to myself and I felt like I got mistreated. I heard so many great things about this restaurant, but what I received today doesn’t compare to what I have heard. Very very disappointed customer. This place will never get a second chance to disappoint me again.

Came inside to order takeout just to check the place out. They do have a drive thru though. After browsing the place and taking a few pictures staff came out from the back. I had started ordering on the kiosk up front but she advised to place the order with her. She was very pleasant and answered all my questions. Food came out pretty quickly. Shuckin juice was really good. The shuckin wings were good not too spicy. The Mac & cheese had an excellent texture and tasted very good. The red beans were good. The rice was mediocre. Overall place was nice I’ll definitely go back.

What a pleasant surprise to come by this place. Being my first time here I decided to try something I’d never had anywhere. I went with the fried ribs with their “Jive” sauce. OMG. This was incredible! My sides were Mac N cheese and candied yams. There was a little wait (you can order ahead to avoid that) but it was soooo worth it! I didn’t realize until I was almost half way finished that there was also a bed of rice under the ribs. Nice! Also the service was remarkable! The young lady at the counter was upbeat and very nice. The server kept asking if I needed anything else. I will definitely be back! Great job!

In spite of inconsistencies, the food IS STILL AMAZING! Expect to wait for your food and you will not be disappointed! Like any consumer, I expect to get what I paid my money for. Last evening I ordered 3 LARGE side orders. Got home and discovered they gave me 3 SMALL side orders but charged me for the large! Once again, I have to take time to get their error corrected.

Our cashier Milen was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, but the wait for the food was ABSOLUTELY NOT. Definitely have to pack your patience. It literally took 48 minutes to get a chicken sandwich and fries. There were people that came in after us and got their food before us. Had it not been for the cashier and the music, I’d be giving 1 star and getting my money back.

I had been curious about this place for some time and finally decided to try it. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I got the fish dinner, reasonable price and comes with 2 sides. Everything was delicious, flavored well and hot. It didn't even take that long to come out, and they brought the food to us. Nice atmosphere and good customer service. Will definitely revisit.

Long wait but worth it. You get a lot of food for the price. I order the chicken dinner meal came with 5 wings with Cajun rice and two sides I picked double Mac and cheese came up to $20.00 not bad. I couldn’t even finish my meal saved it for later. Sauce on the wings is jivin sauce like a sweet and tangy flavor.

Excellent customer service. There was an error on my charge and the young lady corrected it without hesitation. I had the conch fritter, grilled shrimp and grit, my brother had the fried fish and grits, and my nephew had the chicken tenders and fries. Everything was delicious and seasoned to perfection, grits were flavorful and perfect consistency. I love their candied 🍠 The dining area was clean, they had games for the kids, and Motown music play was jamming in the background. Nice dine in experience. Highly recommended.

First time coming here it was an awesome experience. Keke and Gabby were extremely approachable and friendly, and their customer service efforts are some thing to talk about. They both had smiles on their faces and really made it a point of their duty to make my experience here worthwhile. I personally found inside of the restaurant to be a little noisy. However, there is a outdoor area with tables that you can stand and eat, and it was quite relaxing. Both Keke and Gabby came outside to check to make sure that I was enjoying the food. Overall, really pleased with my 1st time experience.

My first 2 times ordering from here was great. This last time was terrible. I ordered my food online and when I arrived to pick up my food the door was locked. I called and spoke to someone and was told that someone was on the way to let me in. Well ten minutes later I was still standing outside and had to call again. Look at the food I received. My rice was full of jivin sauce and I could even eat it. I drove all the way from Tamarac for rice that I couldn’t eat and shrimp that was just nasty. I wasted my time and money on something that I couldn’t eat. I through the whole plate on the trash. I should have drove ten more minutes to Sundays eatery. Way better food. Zero stars if I could.

Very chill place. You ordered at the counter and picked up your order once it was prepared. The customer service was very pleasant. I ordered the conch fritters as an appetizer, then shrimp and grits as my meal. Both were delicious. I will definitely go back to try something else.

This place is a hidden gem 💎 from the food to the atmosphere. The atmosphere when you come in gives of an urban 70’s atmosphere vibe it’s amazing you the old record hits and alll. The customer service is amazing I really wanted to to taste their nana pudding but they were all sold out. I got the great granddaddy dinner which is 12 pieces of shrimp, 8 pieces of chicken tenders, 2 fish fillets, 3 large sides of your choosing. My sides were collard greens and candy yams and macaroni. I also got the red velvet cake. My husband got the fried rib dinner with macaroni and yams

Had a wonderful dining experience today celebrating the retirement of a great nurse. Our party totaled 12 people. Everyone complimented the food and customer service. We all agreed we Will be back. Our food choices ranged from wings, catfish, shrimp and geechee grits, collard greens, mac and cheese, conch fritters, green beans, moonshine cake, grandmas pound cake, strawberry shortcake, various lemonades, etc. Everything was fresh and delicious. Kudos to the management and staff! Keep up the fantastic job you're doing.

This food is so good it’ll make you curse! Today was my first time trying We Shuckin and Jivin. I got the Catfish dinner which comes with Cajun rice, and my sides were red beans and mac and cheese. Everything was fresh and delicious. The closest I’ve had to New Orleans/Creole style food is Popeyes lol. I felt like I got a real taste of the culture after having this. I wasn’t expecting to write a review so my plate is already demolished lol. Next time I’ll take pictures. I’m so happy I found a Black Owned restaurant in my hometown that’s clean, has great customer service, and created an atmosphere that adheres to what Black southern cuisine is. Not to mention the music and their own commercials. The restaurant owner even has her own cake mixes and business outside of this. I’ll be back to try more of the menu. Thank you We Shuckin!

Ordered 2 rib dinner one with green beans and Cajun rice, the other with collard greens and Candied Yams. Food came out hot, serving size is just right and then some. Customer service was great, friendly staff. Will be returning. Jivin sauce is delicious

The food is always on point, customer service is very pleasant and polite. I was a little disappointed in my portion size of 1 my meals . I went as far too point it out to the young lady that brought our drinks over. Her responses was "I'm sorry" paying close to $40 for 2 dinners and 2 drinks and all I received was a I'm sorry. Not even offering to maybe bring 2 spoon fulls .. Nope, I'M SORRY The only other thing is the music is so loud my husband and I could hardly hear each other sitting at the same table.

Went for my birthday was very excited to try them. Upon arriving one of the entry doors were stuck . One of the employees opened the door to let us in and went behind the counter.. We assume that she was going to take our order but did not nor did she greet us. Then realize we need to order on the kiosk (personally I'm not a kiosk fan, I like talking to people) but the kiosk was not working properly then she decided that she would take our order. I love music, but the music was alitte to loud. I ordered the shrimp and grips and informed her that I wanted it to look like what was on the menu with the image of peppers and onions as you can see it did not also ordered the wing dinner with Mac and cheese and collar greens greens what a side order of yams. The wings did not look freshly cooked the greens tasted old the macaroni and cheese was OK I was a little disappointed in the candy yams because they did not look fresh Also Im waiting for my food 2 more people walk in and the young lady did not greet them and allowed them to order on the kiosk when the kiosk is not working properly after the young ladies try ordering on the kiosk about 5 minutes she finally decided to take their order their order this is not good customer service . And to top it off did not realize I needed a driver's license to pay for my order with a card. Being in a restaurant business the one thing I do know customer service can make or break your business please talk to your employees about their customer service it will really help

We drove from Boynton Beach to the Pembroke location. I recommend ordering ahead, whether you eat there or takeaway. No sodas, they have southern sweet tea and lemonade. The sides and the fried ribs are five star. I give the fried fish a four out of five because they are not using the typical batter.

Food was just ok, not what I expected but edible. The collard greens has no meat in them! The chicken wings was good just definitely wasn’t fresh at all, and the max and cheese was good. Not a fan of the price that served with it… drive 35 mins to come here not bad but wouldn’t likely return. Great sauce that comes with the chicken wings

Food was very flavorful and good. The batter used on the fried chicken, seafood was a little to salty for my taste; being on a low salt diet. The collards, Mac and cheese, Red beans were delicious; some of the best I've had from the local restaurants. Service was great, workers nice and helpful. Next time I'll ask if they have a salt free batter. The music was fantastic; Old school R&B.

Came in first time. We ordered the Great Grandaddy. The everything was on point 🔥🔥. Fish was season. Not just fried.; and so.were the shrimp and tenders. Yes you have to wait. But it was worth it. We waited no longer than any other restaurants when cooking to order. I will try back. My daughter is calling Monday for catering 🎀🔥🔥keep up the good work.👏👏💯
