What a wonderful find! You wouldn't think it from the outside, but the restaurant is beautifully decorated and such a nice vibe inside. Our server was great, fast and efficient. They do not have a very extensive menu, but everything we tried was fantastic. They don't have a liquor license, and the wine list was pretty small (1 bottle per varietal), but the malbec we tried was great. The food is tapas style, with most of the plates being good for 3 or 4 people to taste. The pear pasta was good, but the passion fruit sauce was a bit too much with the pear flavor. Highly recommend: filet mignon anticucho, octopus, fish tacos

I visited Morla in downtown Miami on Valentine's Day and was disappointed to find out that they only offered a fixed menu with no other choices. While the food was incredibly delicious, the portion sizes were very small and the prices were high, which made the fixed menu feel like a rip off. Additionally, the restaurant was playing very loud music, which detracted from the romantic ambiance. To make matters worse, they forced a bottle of champagne with the fixed menu that I didn't want. Despite the good service, beautiful decoration and attentive staff, the overall experience was not worth the cost. If you're looking for a quiet and romantic spot with more flexibility in your meal choices, there are likely better options available.

Sometimes good things happen when you least expect them… Last Friday night, my wife and I went to Downtown Miami to participate in an event which turned out to be an opportunity to dine at Morla. I found this restaurant using the OpenTable app on our phone and decided to go for it. We found public parking conveniently located across the street, not free parking though… you need to pay through the metered machine on the lot. This is convenient knowing that parking can be an issue in any city's downtown. The front of the restaurant is unassuming, we had to knock on the door to be let in by a very friendly host who welcomed us and showed us our table. Once you walk in your senses are going to have a feast! Everywhere you look there is something that catches your eyes, the place inside is neatly and meticulously decorated. The restaurant is run by the owners Sharon who runs the floor and her husband (the Chef) who runs the kitchen. They are a power couple that together bring a modern fusion of Peruvian and Mexican cuisine that you must definitely taste. The menu had 14 tapas to choose from, they all looked very tasty. We ordered a couple of cocktails, a Tinto de Verano ($16) and a Maracuya Pisco Sour ($16), this last one was a piece of art! From the menu we ordered the Guacamole with Octopus ($28), the Fillet Mignon Anticucho ($30), the Roasted Pork Hawaiian tacos ($23), and the Pear Pasta ($23). For dessert we shared the Lucuma Cheesecake ($13). We enjoyed our evening very much. We had the chance to talk to Sharon who told us about the plans they have for the restaurant. So, remember if you are in downtown Miami and feel like having something different, set your GPS to 91 SE 2nd St. and you will find MORLA, a true jewel of the Peruvian/ Mexican fusion cuisine. However, if you are very hungry this may not be the place you want to go. Remember, the menu is Tapas sized, enough for two people to taste the food... There were no entrees in the menu, we ordered 4 tapas which was enough for the two of us to share. Our final bill was $200+ which included a 18% service charge, and they give you the option to add more tips if you so choose. The restaurant has two ambiances: indoor seating and outdoor seating... I cannot wait to return and try more items from their menu once the weather cools down, their patio looks amazing!

Came here twice during my visit in Miami, thumb up for the Branzino! And wood fired octopus with smoked potatoes purée was to die for , the octopus with guacamole is also very very nice, pear pasta is a doubtful dish cuz it’s super sweet ( is it a dessert?) and the scallops crudo was not really on point.the first time Maria as server was really thoughtful n sweet, the second time the lady we don’t know the name was kind of in rush and wanted us to leave but the restaurant was empty lol, all in all it’s a great place with good food.

What a great place - food is very delicious and staff attentive and friendly. It has an attractive ambience and located closely to brickell. We had a great dinner at this place and ordered everything from the menu. The ceviche and fish was extraordinary. Also, I really liked the pasta. Can highly recommend this place for dinner.

The most amazing experience from beginning to end. Don’t be fooled by the remote location, it’s truly a hidden gem and I’m definitely going to recommend this to all of my friends and family. We tried the tasting menu, and OMG the quality..it truly reminded me of Peru..if you’re looking for huge portions, this is not for you. If you’re looking for quality, this is it! I cannot wait to be back. Our waitress Liliana I believe? Was the best!

Best fish tacos, ever. We had 3 orders. Tuna Nikkei is out of this world. Tostados authentic. Husband and wife make you feel like you’re eating in their house. Beautiful decor.

This restaurant is exceptional. We went for dinner and made reservations in advance online. The menu is tapas style and the cuisine is designed to be shared. Every dish was exceptional. We can recommend what we ordered because everything was fantastic! Branzino Tiradito, Guacamole and Octopus, Baja Fish Tacos, Filet Mignon Anticucho, Pear Pasta, Salmon Miso, Pork Hawaiian Tacos, Brie Platter, Lucuma cheesecake. Everything was delicious. We will be back! I recommend parking in the Miami Parking Authority Knight Center which is a 5 minute walk to Morla, on the same street.

Went to Miami for a short vacay. Decided to give this hidden gem a shot for our Anniversary dinner! Making reservations was easy through their own website. OpenTable was an option as well! The experience was absolutely delightful! We rang the doorbell to get in, and once the door opened it was like we were transported away from downtown Miami, to somewhere quaint and peaceful! The decor and the ambiance was inviting! We decided to try the culinary experience, because we wanted to taste all their dishes! Each dish was beautifully prepared and visually appetizing! The order of the dishes was well thought out and attacks your senses! It’s a flavor explosion in your mouth! Each dish almost complements the next! The Pisco sour cocktail was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Service was just as amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a lovely couple running such a magnificent dining establishment! Will definitely recommend!!!!!

A couple of friends invited us to try Morla Restaurant which opened downtown Miami about 8 months ago, they had been there a few times and loved it so we went together and …………….. OMG what a great discovery, absolutely amazing !!!!! Thank you Skip and Laurie 👏❤️👏 The place is gorgeous inside and outside there is a little patio for outdoor eating, really beautiful 🥰 Ruben the owner and chef greeted us and cooked for us an incredible dinner with his modern creative dishes, we had Nikkei Salmon Ceviche, Filet Mignon Anticucho, Wood Fire Octopus, Pear Pasta, Branzino Tiradito, Branzino Griliado and Miso Salmon, everything was just incredible, the chef’s passion came thru each dish which was an explosion of different flavors that just made each and every dish just perfect 🤩❤️🤩 I highly recommend it and I will be back very soon @morla_restaurant ❤️ For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Bizarre entrance. Speakeasy like. Food is divine but portions not filling. Adds a 20% auto gratuity for one person. Off putting. I can tip. Thanks. (And prob better) In this immediate area, worth a go. Staff are wonderful. Understand the goal of place, just maybe not there yet.

We tried multiple dishes tonight and every single one of them were amazing. My only wish is that we lived closer, because we would be a regular customer. Ruben and our waitress Maria were so friendly and service was great!

Delicious Peruvian cuisine with high quality ingredients and great flavor combinations. Highlights were the tuna nikiu, the charred octopus in guac, and the Branzino.

The perfect combination of Mexican and Peruvian dishes, flavors and service. It’s like a taco marrying a ceviche! Loved this place, the ambience, the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Will be definitely coming back!

What a hidden gem! We were impressed by the traction this restaurant has gained on Open Table, and decided to try it. Best restaurant we've found in a LONG while. Everything is so thoughtfully prepared. And what the menu lacks in breadth it more than makes up for in quality. Presentation is tops. They've clearly put a lot of thought into the plating, and even the utensils served with each dish. There isn't a dud on the entire menu. The Pear Pasta is a must. And the Peruvian Flan is the best I've ever had.

Came here to celebrate our first wedding anni and had the loveliest evening! The space is beautiful, romantic, and intimate. Decor is just fabulous at every corner you look but THE FOOD!!! The ceviche’s shook us at every bite! To be fully dramatic, the Miso Salmon Ceviche changed my life and I will think of it probably everyday for the rest of my life until I come back to Miami lol everything was SO delicious and the owners are talented and precious people! Please give this place a try ❤️

Wow!! This place blew our expectations. My picky husband and I both tried the tasting menu. We are still discussing each dish hours after leaving the restaurant. The seasoning and spice on each plate is a burst of flavor. Service was the best. Truly a romantic foodie dinner spot.

We drove 4 hours to dine at Morla and had a truly memorable evening. We had the 14 course tasting menu and the dishes wowed us with their vibrant, surprising flavors and fresh ingredients. Most were Michelin star or two worthy. And their remarkable dish of Peruvian corn and potato forever changed my view of the culinary limits of those ingredients. The atmosphere at Morla is intimate and refined, yet very relaxed. The husband & wife team care deeply about every aspect of customer experience. We felt more like a special guest at their home than patrons of a restaurant. Kudos and many thanks to Ruben & Sharon.

Modern, relaxed environment with friendly staff, quick service and AMAZING food. We went solely based on walking distance from our hotel and Google reviews but now I can not wait to be back in Miami so I can visit again. Small shareable plates. The pork tacos were my favorite and the pear pasta is a must try.

Hidden gem! Combination of old fashioned service, fabulous food, and ambience. Chef/ owners came to the table and explained the dishes. Tapas style with the emphasis on farm to table using the freshest ingredients. Service is also very important to them. Every dish is made to order. We ordered 3 dishes and they timed our last dish as we finished the prior 2. I almost hate to make the review only because I don't want to make them famous...lol. If there ever was a restaurant that deserves to be in business it's this one.
