One of the only decent restaurants in Vero Beach quite honestly! I’ve been here multiple times, and the food is typically fresh. My absolute favorite meal is the Indian curry pot pie absolutely delicious! 🤤 Maybe because it’s the only Indian food I can get in town. 😂 My only feedback is that every time I order the fondue, the side snacks are usually dry, or even stale like the pretzels and bread are literally hard. So somebody needs to do Quality Control on that please… Because the chocolate fondue is AMAZING!

Great range of craft beers to enjoy in a nice laid back atmosphere. Did not eat here this time but will definitely return and try the fondue as it looked awesome. Another great visit and got to try the chocolate fondue this time and yes it was awesome.

One word. Fondue. You will be very happy you did. There is an extensive list of beers including many local brews. The serving team is attentive and helpful. Pleasant indoor and outdoor seating areas. Delightful Americana music during our visit.

Great experience. Cozy family owned and run "joint" featuring a great assortment of beers, wines and house drinks. Thor made us feel at home with suggestions and conversation. Wife loved the "Mermaid Tail". Menu is simple but tasty and offers vegan selections. The live band on Friday night added to the cool eclectic vibe! Loved the chicken curry pie and Samosas!! Pricing was extremely fair!!

This place has a really unique atmosphere and I would definitely recommend hanging here with friends. I come here for the fondue because it’s great every time. They have live music which always brings good vibes. Outside patio available which is nice.

Stopped in for dinner on road trip from Coco to Ft.laud with my daughter what a unexpected surprise like finding a pearl in a oyster. Bartender David was a charmer and very knowledgeable of the beers and wine. Food was delicious enjoyed the cheddar Foudue and Tuna appetizer. Great service from all behind the bar including the guy in the kilt can't forget him LOL. The One man band made for a relaxing laid back time singing about his walking stick and Chocolate Jesus and Can't forget about the rye whiskey. Customers were friendly and talkative as well the place was busy and all the staff was running around and made you feel welcomed. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the good time.

This place was okay. The kilted steak sandwich with potato salad was fantastic! Super tender meat with a slight wine aspect. The potato salad was also wonderful. My wife had the Asian cashew bowl and added shrimp. She wasn't expecting the shrimp to be blackened which isn't her preference at all. The menu made no mention of it being blackened. We should have sent it back but didn't. The rest of the salad was good, a little too much cashew maybe. My daughter-in-law had fondue, which she has had before here, but this time it had a mustard angle to it that was weird to her. None of us were very fond of it. She said they had changed it from previous visits. Service was great and the restaurant has a nice charm about it.

We had a lovely night out here. Ate outside. Our waiter was awesome, was great at recommending drafts for us to try. I had a pear cider and a blueberry something.. we had the duck empanadas, they're to die for. We also did sandwiches and then the classic chocolate fondue!

Eclectic with good food and great beer n wine

There should be more restaurants like this one! Right away you notice a casual and "artified" ambience. We ate outside which was covered with a canopy (good thing because it started to rain). We started off with an appetizer of seared tuna with a delicious sauce. I ordered the Kilted salad & added chicken. Really nice flavor combinations between the dressing and the tangy goat cheese. The hubby got the Kilted steak sandwich, which he made disappear faster than the speed of light. I could hear the crunch from the toasted ciabatta roll. Great dining experience!

We are locals and this is one of our favorite places to go. The staff is warm and welcoming and atmosphere is eclectic and fun. The food is good and reasonably priced and they have a wonderful beer and wine selection. If you are looking for a casual NOT stuffy or pretentious dinning experience we highly recommend.

My first fondu experience with my adult kids who were visiting for Christmas! Eclectic menu and venue! Funky and cool atmosphere. The food was all around delicious! Step out of your box a bit and venture in the Kilted Mermaid! The service was fantastic! Had to wait a bit for a large, indoor table but our hostess totally took care of us and got us seated in a most timely manner! Looking forward to going back!

We really enjoyed Thursday Trivia Night at the Kilted Mermaid. Fun place to hang out and enjoy some fondue, drinks and laughs with friends. Service was great. The crowd was fun. Parking is plentiful. Overall good time.

One of the best places to eat in Florida. Out of all of the meals I have had on my vacation this was my favorite. The atmosphere is awesome at night with live band, loved the amount of beer selections. Highly recommend the steak sandwich and potato bacon salad. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food prepared fresh and served hot. Had the scrumptious mac & cheese of the day and the duck empanadas were melt-in-your-mouth savory. Excellent beer selection to go with. The vegan options even sounded good. Will return to try the other goodies on the menu.

This place is a gem in every way. Beer and wine choices are extensive. Outdoor biergarten is spacious. Had the fisherman's pie and was very tasty. Staff is very friendly and on top of everything. Live music many nights and a very great musician tonight when I visited. A must visit place if in Vero Beach!

Lovely local restaurant! The bartenders + servers were friendly. Shout out to Thor for suggesting the impossible meatball sub- it was delicious. The aesthetic and music selection at this place was relaxing and overall will put you in a good mood. I got a chance to meet the owner, which was real cool. This restaurant does charge 3% for "Close the gap" which goes to the kitchen staff. I LOVE that.

Love this place! Great food great entertainment great staff! I got the curried chicken pie, which had big chunks of chicken and fresh veggies inside. Wife got the Dahl dish. She said it was different at first, but the more she ate, the more she liked it.

Caught a late flight into town and was scrambling to find a dinner spot that was still open on a Tuesday. We came across the mermaid thanks to google and man, glad we came! Everything from the decor to the food was a great experience. When we arrived, there was a group of musicians that were playing Keltic themed Music which was a awesome addition to the ambience. Highly recommend!

Wow! We had not visited in awhile and we will make sure to go more often! The beer and cider selections are excellent! We had the fondue and a giant pretzel. Both were fresh and delicious! I had the caprese salad- so fresh and the balsamic drizzle was flavorful. My hubs had the Mirabelle sandwich with the prosciutto. It was so good! Warm, fresh, and the homemade potato salad was creamy and delicious. My daughter got the Plain Jane Flatbread and it was fresh and not overly sauced. She loved it! Love the quirky seating and atmosphere. It is a 10/10! We will absolutely be back.

Such a cool little place. Small but eclectic menu. We tried 7 different menu items in 2 days. (Yes, we went back the next day). The food was amazing!! Fisherman pot pie, flat breads, samosas to die for! Brittany was so cheerful and made our 1st time there great.

Wonderful experience all around. I had the curry chicken pie and that was scrumptious. Dog friendly if you sit outside. Even though we were outside, we could hear the singer inside and her voice was lovely. Our server was attentive. She even brought a water bowl for our dog. When we asked her what we could get for our dog she was patient in answering our questions and went to consult with the kitchen. That was much appreciated. The only thing that wasn't perfect was that we felt the white wine flavor was too strong in the Swis Fondue... not sure if they put too much or if it wasn't cooked all the way. Still, my boyfriend, our dog, and I had a wonderful time and I would come back to the Kilted Mermaid.

Anyone who loves atmosphere and lives in Vero Beach knows where the Kilted Mermaid is...tons of fun had by everyone. We went on Open Mic night and my friends were part of the entertainment. Good food, drinks and beer selection.

They nailed this place. First it has this eclectic artsy decor. The waitresses and owner actually seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our waitress has been working there for over eight years and the whole staff seamed to participate in taking care of us. I am not sure how to classify the food? Vegan, yes, Moroccan meets Indian with a “pot-pie” slant? Oh and I am forgetting the fondue! We live about 2 hours away, but are definitely going to schedule another pilgrimage.

A nice change from other places in town, extensive beer menu and the fondue and other food is good, I've never had a bad meal. The service is hit and miss depending on how busy they are but it is always friendly. I will continue to go back.

Another successful outing at the Kilt. Went here tonight expecting to hear a favorite local band of mine, SoulJam, but was saddened to learn they weren’t playing that night due to the flu. Ended up having my favorite seared tuna salad and some fondue while listening to newfound band Kindred Kilts which took stage near the end of my meal. Great food, atmosphere, management and staff all working together in harmony to make this a delightful evening out! Put this place on your short list!

This is such an awesome place to meet up with friends or take a date. Great menu, atmosphere, the lighting and the beer! We love coming here for the food and live bands on the weekends. The olives and cheese appetizers are fantastic and the fondue really goes great with the beer and wine selection.
