Well if you want a lineup of about 13 comedians, who you don't know, then here you go. Then prepare for an x-rated show. Very vulgar language with inappropriate gestures and jokes. Very uncomfortable and disappointing. Especially when they pick on people that come but don't expect this. If you drink, which is kind of the setting, prepare to purchase at least one drink. It's mandatory, which is ridiculous. We already pay to be there. You can get whatever you want. But really?? This was my first time and experience at the comedy club. We booked not knowing what was in store. Just visiting this city for the first time and looking for something fun to go to. Never again. The lineup of comedians changes regularly. Each was different. Some were very vulgar, mildly vulgar, or just rude, which is uncomfortable, and just not needed for comedian acts. Personally I think they all followed each other's ideas. We don't need to hear the same bad jokes for 3 hours. I was ready to leave at the beginning, but we hoped it would get better. Sadly being in the front row made it even more awkward. I laughed at things just hoping I wouldn't be singled out. So it's hard to sneak out if you are up front. Also be prepared to have this audience involvement. Since they ask you personal questions, and if you aren't into that, try to sit at the back. Or don't go. If you don't mind comedians making fun of you then have at it. Sit in the front and be prepared. You never know where it will go.🤷 No phones allowed during performances, and it's dark inside. The staff are friendly at least. 🙌🙌 Seriously not my kind of comedy club. Please try to come up with better stuff for future patrons. 🤞

Once the site of celebrity playground Ciro's, the Comedy Store is now celebrating 50 years of equally star worthy stand- up performances & iconic performers. Three rooms offer no wrong choice for any weekday or weekend night -- though performances can be uneven. Have a drink & enjoy!

Great comedy club. Great place to see big names and up-and-comers. Staff was friendly. Drinks are decent. For parking there's a few pay lots within a block or two.

But think about it as a one time thing lol The comedians were funny The entire place was full ! Popcorn 🍿 was good ! So much fun 🤩 Definitely recommend coming. Get the tickets 🎫 online ❤️

Finally, I got to visit the place where so many of my favorite comics got their start. I splurged for the VIP stage-side seating and truly enjoyed the show with a different comic performing the Main Room every 15 minutes. I only wish I lived in LA and could come weekly.

We went to the 8pm show. It was a good experience. Also had several celebrities in the house. Probably because Dave Chappell was a secret headliner in the other room! Great time. I will definitely be back!

So fun! Went here with my fiancé on a random night and time and had a great time. All of the comedians were hysterical. We did the original room but next time we’ll try the main room. Two drink minimum. I got two margaritas but one of your drinks can be water. My fiancé ran into Pauly Shore in the hallways!

Incredible experience and a dream come true. Not only seeing some of my favorite comics but a random appearance from Kevin Hart. Couldn't have had a better experience! Thank you.

The lineup is consistently changing so experiences will differ for everyone, but the night I went, I laughed for 2 hours straight. The venue itself is very interesting and loved the vibe of the main room.

An affordable comedy club, they pride themselves to be amongst the oldest comedy establishments in the city. There is a 2 drink minimum, and you can choose even from water for those who don't consume alcohol. Pro Tip: There are free shows as well, with a 2 drink minimum.

Fantastic, laugh-filled night hosted by the Comedy greats. Annie Leaderman, Bobby Lee, Erik Anderssen and the guy after him were all hilarious. Some overly-PC, boring jokes about Cats, Dogs & ethnic stereotypes by the second-to-last comedian who was apparently in Shameless? Don't know who he is! Either way not funny at all. Most of the other performers killed it. There is no social distancing in effect, but drinks were very reasonably priced and good. 2 drink minimum per person in effect as others have mentioned. Highly recommend getting tickets to any night you can!

So you need to buy tickets early and you wont know who the actual comedians will be until a day or 2 before, once they are announced it will pretty much sell out immediatly. We got pretty lucky with the main room and it ended up being 2 commedians I really liked. Its not super structured or ordered or anything, each commedian was on for about 20min, some of them had pretty good material and some would just do crowd work the entire time. If you dont want to be involved I would try to sit in the back. Another tip is that the first drink you get will be extreemly strong lol. Overall the place is fine, but I think what commedians are playing that night is pretty important as to how much you will enjoy it.

Oh wow, what an experience, seeing Bobby Lee, Andrew Santino and Sarah Silverman in this prestigious venue. It was essential to my trip, I loved it, especially the no phone rule during the show!

One of the great, storied comedy clubs where seemingly anyone who's anyone has performed at one time or another... Great staff - they know their job and do it well, without being high-handed or rude. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance if you are interested in a specific performance. There are three different rooms (one large room, two which are more ...intimate) There is more than sufficient soundproofing, and even with the raucous laughter and sound systems, they have no noticeable impact on each other. STREET PARKING ONLY! If you have anyone who is unable to traverse the STEEP side streets, drop them off in front of the club before finding your place to park. The area is almost all permit or metered parking, so it's even better if you can hire a ride! 2-drink minimum (bottled water counts), so anticipate at least $20 above your ticket price... Remember to tip your bartenders and wait-staff, we'd be lost without 'em! (If you are unfamiliar with U.S. gratuity, it is generally safe to assume 25%, ±10% based on service. (Tip even more if you are feeling generous, make too much money, want to impress your date(s), keep them running around on your behalf, or if you were rude, condescending, or a complete jerk to them - tips help mend broken spirits) Please, don't stiff 'em. Our economic model is so top-heavy that they might not make rent and buy ramen on employer wages alone... Additionally, they in turn tip out the greeters, bussers, kitchen, etc., all keeping the ship afloat!)

One of the most iconic places in LA and definitely a place I would recommend everyone to pay a visit if they are in the area ❤️ So many iconic comedians and actors started their career here and its packed almost every single night + even just passing by and reading the endless names of legends all over the building is in itself a very special experience 🙏

Pretty great experience. VIP early access was pretty good price and they had some good comedians. The waitress wasn’t very polite and the drinks were awful but the show and seating was great!! Suggest getting drinks before going because it will be hard to suck down the two drink minimum with the way they are made.

THE O.G.! Being a fan of live comedy most of my life, I've always wanted to get out to see shows at The Store.. Was not disappointed. Love the space ... the 3 rooms allow for a multitude of acts on any given night. Room sizes are perfect. Staff were all fantastic. The representation of comedic history is on point. Will definitely be back again.

First time ever attending a comedy show, and it was so much fun. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. A few things I didn't like were the mandatory 2 drink per person. $6 per crystal geyser water bottle is ridiculous. Also, why was it freezing inside. It was unnecessarily cold inside. And the chairs were super hard and have been worn out. Again, the comedians and staff were great. they just need to update the inside .

It was a Friday night, and my friends and I were in the mood for some laughs. We headed to the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard, excited for a night of comedy and fun. As soon as we walked in, we were hit with the energy and buzz of the place. The atmosphere was electric, with people milling about and chatting excitedly, all eager for the show to begin. We grabbed a table near the front and ordered drinks, settling in for what we knew would be a memorable night. And boy, were we right! The comedians that night were absolutely hilarious, each one bringing their own unique style and perspective to the stage. We laughed until our sides hurt, wiping away tears of joy as joke after joke landed perfectly. As the night wore on, the energy in the room only continued to build. The crowd was alive with laughter and good vibes, and it was clear that everyone was having the time of their lives. As the final comedian took his bow, we stood up to leave, feeling a little bit lighter and a whole lot happier than we had when we walked in. We made our way out of the Comedy Store, grinning from ear to ear and already making plans to come back again. In conclusion, the Comedy Store is a true gem of Los Angeles, and a place that never fails to bring joy and laughter to all who enter its doors. To the comedians who perform there night after night, thank you for your talent, your wit, and your ability to make us laugh even in the darkest of times. We'll be back for more laughs soon! Byron Bowers was our favorite comedian.

Mix of Podcasters and professionals working on their new material. A couple of bombs, and a couple of good ones. Some of the most uncomfortable seating I’ve ever experienced. It was so bad, I actually left early. They have a two drink minimum and don’t count food items towards that requirement. Six dollars for a small bottle of water is a bit greedy, if you ask me.

Iconic comedy haven in Hollywood. Jumping off point for countless comedy legends. If you are in the LA area, want to laugh, and have $8000 to spend on two drink minimums, definitely stop by. It doesn’t suck.

Amazing show last night ! Over 3 hours of pure comedy! It would be a 5 star review if it was only about the show ! But their staff is way too loud while taking your orders 📢 . It kinda breaks the flow. Also they charge you 6$ for a room temperature bottle of water lol 😂 I get the 2 drinks minimum but I would have rather buy 2 beers at 14$ and have a glass of tap water. At least keep your bottles cool !

Had to swing by the Comedy Store while in town always wanted to come here. Got lucky Bill Burr tickets were still available and it was really cool to see him trying to smooth out some new material. Belly room is small and intimate with a great waitstaff. Definitely will be back to check out the other rooms.

Multiple rooms. We went to the main room which was more money $35. The other one was $15. Paying more doesn't mean funnier people. It was tough to watch these guys. Esp when every comedic commented on the low energy from the audience. Sad line up this day but knowing the history of the place it was fun to experience.

A great time, good jokes and funny comics, but a 6$ bottle of water kinda sucks when down the road at trader joes it's 79¢, also be prepared for overpriced cocktails, menu is from may 2023

First experience at a comedy club and it was phenomenal! There was a massive line to get in but the seating coordination was superb. We got seated quickly and got our drinks right after. The comedians were extremely engaged and respectful with the audience. It's a 2 minimum drink per person and drinks range from 8-25$. The only thing that was an inconvenience was the parking, other than that I would recommend checking this place out! Can't wait to go back myself!

This is our first time visiting LA from Vancouver, Canada and one of our first stops was catching a show at the Comedy Store. My partner is a comedy buff and really wanted to see Rick Glassman for his birthday. I ended up buying tickets to the WRONG show and was devastated. We spoke to the incredibly helpful staff who assisted us with getting in touch with the manager Ryan. Ryan went above and beyond to help us with our mix up so we were able to see the correct show. We cannot thank Ryan and the team at the Comedy Store enough for their exceptional customer service and hospitality. We will definitely be back again!

The Comedy Store establish it's place in comedy history a long time ago which makes it feel a little bit silly to try to review it at all. If you are in Los Angeles and even remotely a fan of comedy this place is a place of pilgrimage. Remember to stay respectful and on your toes though, especially if you aren't a comedy nerd; there's a good chance person standing next to you is either the person you came to see, someone that will be famous in the future, someone relevant in the industry, or someone doing the same thing as you that night.

Such an amazing, fun-filled night that flew by! We did the 10:30pm show in the main room and although we didn’t know many of the comedians, they were mostly hilarious other than the headliner. We stayed until the end but tons of groups left midway through his set. Would definitely come back next time we’re visiting LA!
