The staff here are crooks. Don’t be fooled by the area or pretty exterior. Stayed here for 2 nights. We got in late the first night and stayed in. The next day we left to explore the area only to return to our room where multiple belongings were missing. Clearly someone had been through our things and taken whatever they wanted. We always double, triple check our door so it was certainly locked when we left. Management did absolutely nothing about this issue. They were not at all helpful in investigating the matter and just like that, this stay turned into a nightmare. I saw another review about stealing here and thought it was isolated until it happened to me too. Definitely do not stay here if you value privacy, not being burglarized and good customer service. Because you’ll get none of the above. If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would. They ruined our trip.

Do not stay if you plan on valeting your Tesla. Stayed using our AMEX benefits and enjoyed the experience. Lovely welcome upon check in with an upgraded room and early access. Our room was spacious, no issue with noise though the stopper in our sink was broken so we did have to get an engineer to fix it. We received a nice welcome gift of small snacks and a water bottle. However, our rating is due to our issue with the Valet. We drove our Tesla up from San Diego knowing we’d need a charger. We contacted the hotel about a month in advance stating this need and asking if they have the ability to charge. Through 2 messages, they simply said as long as you valet ($65) we will have chargers available. Upon arrival, they informed us that they could not charge a Tesla due to the need for an adapter, which is quite surprising for a LA-area hotel. We’ve never had issues previously. Had we not contacted them previously with this request, I would be more understanding of our responsibility in needing an adapter. This could have been avoided with better communication.

I don't like leaving negative reviews for Kimpton because I have been an inner circle member for about 10 years, spend 95% of my travel nights in Kimpton hotels, and consider myself family. I have stayed at this location before but something is definitely off. I read some of the most recent reviews and they are right - this hotel no longer has a 5 Star feel at all. When I checked in the atmosphere felt off and the employees seemed uncomfortable when the managers were present. I really couldn't tell what it was and I don't know which level managers they were but I could tell when two of them came out the vibe changed and the air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. The managers also seemed very uninterested in the guest, and were very dismissive of the workers. I had a very uncomfortable feeling within myself and I felt uncomfortable for the people who were receiving this behavior. I tend to have friendly chats with the people I encounter at Kimpton hotels because I've spent hundreds of nights in their hotels and consider myself family. But these employees seemed hesitant or something, and the managers just seemed very indifferent to everything that was going on. I could tell they were trying to do their jobs but I am a retired organizational development consultant and it was very clear that something is amiss in this organization. I did not feel that on my previous visit back in March at all. So whatever changed, you all should consider changing it back.

Wish I could leave 0 stars. Save your money if you are trying to experience a 5 star hotel. This is 3 star AT BEST. This was the most awful check in process. I usually stay at Kimpton Everly but they were sold out and recommended this hotel as their sister hotel. First I called and made a reservation at this hotel then told the lady on the phone that we will be arriving around midnight to check in. When I arrived they could not find my reservation even though I had a confirmation code. Then they proceeded to start a new reservation at the front desk, only to find out it was $300 more than what was originally paid. So we tried booking online to save some money, since the total was $699 for one night on a Thursday. I’ll save the details - but to keep it short, due to “technical difficulties” it took an hour to check in. Woke up to banging and cleaning at 7am. Super thin walls. The hotel is dirty and not well taken care of at all. There’s pee in the elevator. Chipped countertops. Pee on the floor in numerous places. No bathroom amenities. They don’t open the door for you, don’t help you with your bags… NOT a 5 star hotel experience at all. Never coming here again. Would not recommend.

The location is good for WeHo or Dan Tana's which is about it. I could've paid with points and not spent any $$ but wanted a room with a balcony so I paid with cash instead. It turns out that there's a HUGE construction job going on on the entire north side of the hotel which starts promptly at 7am. They removed the door handles so that you can't open the doors to the terrace because of the construction yet still offer the rooms in case you don't mind a 7am wakeup. Its a zero-lot line which means the construction's occurring 6 feet from your window. I raised the lack of being able to enjoy the terrace to the front desk which offered a "token" discount and then became rude when I explained I paid the extra ~$150 for the room upgrade specifically for the terrace. I received ~$100 back to my card but the experienced had already taken a dive. Separately the AC is severely lacking so as it gets warmer, bring a fan. Completely not worth the ~$650 we paid.

Stayed several nights. Here the assessment. - friendly staff - great location - excessive hold of funds on your ccard - amenity fees which don't deliver basically anything towards parking, breakfast etc. - thin walls and windows, ie badly sound-insulated rooms - almost 24/7 multiple barking dogs to the backside of the building - room had zero dressers to allow for clothes storage - shower mixer was defect - relatively high valet parking costs, 65 USD per day

Checked in here for two nights and the front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Tyler went above and beyond to get me an early check-in and also helped to rectify an issue I had with the room. I would not ding them on the room issue or go into details bc they were very apologetic, accommodating, and the issue was corrected stat. I am an avid traveler and I love the location of this hotel. It's within walking distance of fun places. I always stay at the London West Hollywood when in LA but gave this one a try this time and I will return again even though the reviews about employees stealing and going through guests' luggage are very concerning. Hope management is addressing that issue internally. Otherwise, not a bad place and I believe the construction will embellish the property when it's done.

This hotel was disappointing. As soon I drove up I had a bad feeling about this place. When I booked this hotel it showed up as a 5 star hotel but when I got there it presented as no higher than a 3-star hotel. The room was dark and basic with a dingy carpet over tiled floor like a motel 6. The bed was a springy platform bed that was so uncomfortable that I woke up with back pain. Very surprised they are charging what they charge. I suggest you look elsewhere if you want a true 5-star.

We had two rooms. The La Peer absolutely did not meet our expectations. This hotel has practically ruined the Kimpton brand for my family. It was a very disappointing stay. The one positive is the location seems this hotels strength. I have stayed at two lower-rated hotels in the same general area twice over the last 4 months and both were much better managed, cleaner and more affordable. Many small things were unacceptable for a “5*” hotel. (*for the worst things) 1. Futon-like cheap springy bed with bad pillows. * 2. Crumbled cookie(?) crushed in to the carpet by the bed was disgusting. * 3. VERY poor water pressure in the dribbling shower with the toilet and sink stopping up repeatedly. * 4. Clock was unplugged amidst 5 knotted cords on arrival and was never fixed. 5. TP roll in the bathroom was 3/4 used on arrival. Our second room was cleaned one day with the no TP replaced. * 6. There was no remote control for the TV in the first room (waited an hour for delivery after two calls.) * 7. No sheet was placed under the duvet (one was on top) and the response after a discussion with the sarcastic front desk assistant was to send up 3 sheets for us to fix the bed ourselves. * 8. No sugar substitute at the lobby coffee station (twice) despite inquiring 9. No help with bags to room at arrival. 10. No complimentary water in the room but a $12 spring water bottle was available for sale. 11. Very few drawers for clothes unpacking. 12. Uncomfortable (essentially unusable) furniture. 13. Elevator with a spilled drink on the floor in cleaned for two days. * 14. Gift shop never opened and had stacks of boxes like a storage room. * 15. Front desk assistants have to go to a different room for all duties (printing etc) and are under-staffed 16. One day Housekeeping just never came (the do not disturb sign was removed at 11:30am) * 17. $65 dollars per night parking is absurd even by California standards. * 18. The surrounding construction is beyond the hotels control and I likely missed the notice when booking. I rarely write negative reviews (or any) but all in all this is a 2.5 to 3 star hotel at best and is not recommended without serious improvement. The problems are all management related.

Stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend with my family. Overall our stay was okay, definitely not a 5-star hotel or stay but here are some issues we encountered: 1. I had emailed the front desk prior to our arrival that we would be using our Amex perks, but once we got there and asked them to upgrade our room, the gentlemen at the front desk told us a room upgrade won’t be possible as they’re “fully committed.” I can assure you the hotel was NOT fully booked and there were countless empty suites available. 2. I was extremely sick during my stay in LA so I called the front desk asking for some green tea. They said they could check and then didn’t even bother calling back about it. When I called again, they said they can’t provide any. What kind of 5-star hotel doesn’t have a coffee/tea station in the hotel room for their guests? Tea should not have to be something you have to ask for. 3. They did not allow us to use our $150 Amex credit for valet services. 4. The shower situation was the worst we’ve encountered in any hotel. You either could have freezing cold water or scalding hot to shower with, which is ridiculous with a toddler. Upon checkout, when we told the gentleman at the front desk about the issues with the shower, he didn’t even acknowledge what I said. Simply ignored it. There were some friendly staff at the property, such as the valet. However overall not super impressed and would definitely not stay here again or recommend this place to anyone.

Don't use for time sensitive stays I have stayed here previously and liked it. Booked a stay months ago and the crew there cancelled my stay without even telling me. Had fraud and everything suggested until I managed to show that it had been cancelled by the hotel itself. This is how they treat paying guests. Anything for a quick buck. What will they do to you? Have stayed at Kimpton and multiple higher end hotels across the world and all have had their challenges at times but this is worst I have ever seen. Genuinely shocked and angry. Don't book for anything important or time critical is my advice. Shameful behaviour by the hotel management.

Oddly enough, I was one of the very first guests to stay here. I actually was the very first room service order - it was good. We rented the entire hotel for a month long event just before they opened to the public. The staff is excellent and very nice people. Even with our event and grand opening woes, they did a great job. Great place to stay.

Not really 5 star. Staff not attentive or interested at all. Maybe that’s because the 20% tip is compulsory? No drinks service by the pool. Music comes on and off in restaurant and pool. Front desk polite but not well informed or on point. Very four star boutique. Design of the hotel very cool though. Just feels like the staff can’t be bothered in most cases.

Not the worst, but power outlets in room didn’t work, music from restaurant downstairs was terrible and loud, even on Monday night. Housekeeping left dirty coffee mug for 3 days in a row without replacing that or coffee used. Best part was that the manager, Nate, was absolutely fantastic and empathetic, doing whatever he could to help. Would not come back. Location is great, however.

Great hotel and location. Beautifully designed, the beds are super comfy and is in a great location. Staff was super friendly and nice. Special thanks to Andres and Mykayla who helped me thru the check in process and were constantly willing to assist. Nice safe area, walked to all the restaurants and bars. Would stay here again

Spending a couple nights here with some friends. So far we’ve spent one night here and there is nothing really 5 star about this place. The lobby is nice but it sort of ended there. Upon checkin, our experience kinda went downhill. We got there a bit before 4pm so had to wait for our room. Which was fine but the person checking us in was a little aggressive and told us we were asking for too many accommodations when we requested we get two rooms on the same floor facing the courtyard. Even though we said we didn’t mind waiting for them until they could be cleaned. Fast forward to actually being in the rooms, there’s no coffee or tea or coffee maker, no complimentary bottles of water and the walls are paper thin. Literally no insulation. We could hear our neighbor coughing, snoring, talking, everything. The people on top of us sound like a pack of elephants. From 4am til about 8am there was non stop noises of thumping, furniture moving, people running back and forth etc. we called the front desk to see if anything could be done which led them to tell us it was babies running back and forth. If a 5 star hotel cannot insular the footsteps of a baby, it should not be a 5 star. The solution was to let us know they’d be checking out today or have us pack up our items and move us at 7am to a different room with a view of a building to take our chances that the guests above us were not as noisy.

I love Kimpton hotels for their quirkiness and friendly, relaxed service. This hotel is no exception. Location is great, rooms have a fun vibe and the service is excellent. Only complaint is more of a personal preference. I strongly dislike large showers without a shower door that are split between one section for a traditional shower and another section of the shower having a tub. I like a hot shower but in this case, the shower area never steams up since it is so large. Again, personal preference.

Had such a great stay this past weekend! Everything was perfect from the moment we got to the hotel to checking out the next morning. The staff is super friendly and helpful; they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is very modern and trendy and our room was immaculate with a great city view. We got a chance to eat at the pop up restaurant Olivetta downstairs. The food there was so good! The bar also had great cocktails; they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol so it's well worth the money.

Perfectly placed in Beverly Hills. A block from coffee shops during the day and restaurants/bars at night. Our room was excellent with a great view of the city. The pickle ball court on the roof is tons of fun especially during happy hour.

Amazing location, stunning rooms. A little pricey, but, we felt it was worth it. Welcome was fantastic, very friendly. Housekeeping let’s the place down slightly, hence the drop of a star. Long hairs in bathroom and tea & coffee supplies not replenished. Had to chase for replacements twice. Bar service excellent and food and drinks were tasty and well prepared.

My wife and I stayed here when our baby boy was born and had to be in the NICU. The location is perfect, the hotel is very modern and the experience was great. The staff took such great care of us, especially Ossie, the front office manager. He went out of his way to care for us at a very difficult time and I can’t thank him enough!

Okay, so I usually stay at the Line Hotel in Korea town which is more urban, caters to a younger crowd. The La Peer is my new fave. It’s set aside. Provides an elevated experience and subtly whispers luxury (because the wealthy don’t scream). & it’s still very central to many of the staples in West Hollywood. Can’t go wrong staying here.

This has become my go-to hotel when I visit Los Angeles. We were met with exceptional service by way of Noah who took care of valet service as well as had our bags placed in our room as we got to the hotel a bit early before check-in time and jetted off to lunch. Awesome experience in and around the beautiful hotel and shout out to Zack who made the best latte I’ve ever spent money on. This is the place stay to choose.

I usually don’t leave reviews for hotels unless they’re super super bad or super good. This one falls into the super good category. My experience was amazing during my stay in LA and I can almost guarantee that no other hotel can beat it for the price. The food at lady hawk was 10/10

Stayed here for a night and enjoyed our stay. Loved the art and decor, as well as the amazing bathtub in the room. Everything was very clean and aesthetic. The pool area and gym is very lovely as well. The gym had all the equipment you need for a good workout. Enjoyed the cold brew and kombucha on tap, as well as wine happy hour. The food and drinks in their lobby were just alright (LA has so many options) - 20% auto gratuity. Was a little miffed by the extra fees that were not disclosed before the stay eg. daily guest amenity fee and hotel worker protection ordinance fee.

Cannot recommend this stylish hotel enough. The whole staff is so kind and accommodating. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness made this place feel like home. Michael at the front desk went above and beyond to help coordinate anything we needed. Thank you again

The was my first time staying at a Kimpton & I must say the La Peer team was amazing: the restaurant staff remembered by daily chai & was beyond accommodating. The rooms were clean, was pleasantly surprised during check-in selecting my housekeeping preferences. All the above and the location might just become my LA go to!! Bravo to the entire team at La Peer for making me feel welcome.

This is a nice hotel, but after staying here for two different occasions and asking for a late check-out, they removed my hotel card access to my door, which is annoying. They don’t have a good system or process regarding late check-outs for their guests. Both occasions, I had to go down to the lobby, wait in line, and regain access.

Super convenient location and really helpful staff. I stayed here for a friend's bachelorette party and we were all able to be on the same floor, though we weren't able to get rooms with double beds. The pool was heated which would've been nice had it been the wintertime but it was summer and it felt like bath water, which is kind of gross. The bar was really nice at night and a lot of fun. Room service breakfast came in a little picnic basket which I thought was adorable. They have a Nespresso by the front desk for courtesy coffee service which was a nice touch. Check in and check out were both very smooth.

Awesome location and price! I'm not sure about other rooms, but ours had carpet stains and couch cushions has food crumbs and stains. Kristina at the bar was awesome! All the staff has been professional and welcoming. This is perfect for dinners, entertainment and night life.

Not even free water, coffee machine.. we need to go to the lobby for coffee and its until 10 am .. also they said breakfast can be deduct $15 from the 40ish dollar on top of the hotel rate charges, and we ordered breakfast to the room and they still charged full and no deduction! And a delivery fee of 10 dollar.. the worst IHG brand in the IHG even holiday inn express give free coffee machine in the room .. and this hotel have loud music in the pool every night til 10PM ,but when we stayed the staff forgot to turn it off until 5AM in the morning.. We thought was from the club, but when we went down its from the swimming pool .. its ruins my slept!! And when we stayed the lift other lift is dead only 1 operates Everyday 7am ish the was a dog shelter nearby, so is very noisy.
