On this trip I walked in with my husband hoping to find a very special pair of earings for my anniversary gift. Not only did I find the most beautiful pair of oval Columbian emerald studs ( exactly what I had in mind ) But Carl and Marina were very gracious. We learned so much about the history of emeralds, and the family who is behind this wonderful little shop. Carl is charming and very interesting. I first visited Emeralds International 9 years ago while on vacation. I had just started my own business and thought wouldn’t it be nice if someday the business does well enough for me to reward myself with an emerald from this store? Hard work paid off and here I was 9 years later buying my emerald! Roman was kind, informative, and showed us lots of possibilities. I might mention it was also our 40th wedding anniversary. Until my husband and I traveled to key west and met Carl and Elizabeth in Emerald International. Elizabeth recommends the ring settings for me, and Carl reset the ring. I went in today to get a bracelet adjusted that was too big. I was kindly greeted by Elizabeth. She introduced me to Carl Schutze who immediately took care of it. He adjusted the size in literally five minutes time and took care of me because I am a local. I will return anytime I have jewelry to attend to, I highly recommend this place!

My husband bought this right hand ring for our 10th anniversary....that was 18 years ago. Had a small stone that fell out and Carl Schutz, Managing Director/Designer took a personal interest and walked my precious memory through the repair process with kidd gloves. It is the most precious piece of jewelry I own, as we were married in Key West almost 30 years ago. I have never, ever, seen a piece that looks close to this ring, so I like to think of it as a one of the kind. Thank you Carl and your staff with handling this repair personally. I went in for an engraving I wanted as part of a graduation present for my son, and I didn't have much time. My fault for waiting so long, I know! There was no need to fear, though, as they said they would fit me in if I could return in a couple of hours. Before I left, I looked around the store for about 20 minutes, and before I could leave they said, "It's done!" Great service, great family-owned business, great people. I will definitely return!

This is a family-owned and -operated business, and emeralds are what they do. I selected a lovely ring with the help of the owners. If you love emeralds (who doesn't?), this is the place to go. They have many pieces at all price points and are extremely knowledgeable. Trust me -- your shopping experience will be positive and easy-going (i.e., NOT like a typical jewelry store!). When I saw this place, I hit the brakes on my flip-flops.

Loved it…it was all a bit unexpected- now I love my beautiful new necklace/pendant. I stopped in the Emeralds International shop intending to just do a little browsing and window shopping as part of wandering Duval. I was pleased to find that it is a small business run by family (*not* affiliated with the chain stores in the Caribbean, which for me is a major plus since the store has unique high quality pieces.) The store has team members who are clearly respected by each other and love what they do. After speaking for just a few minutes with Marina- her knowledge was impressive and she was very helpful with zero pressure for sales. Since we were on our way out of town (and I wasn’t expecting to find something I loved- a beautiful pendant, and I was not ready to make a purchase on the spot) …she gave me her card and encouraged me to check out the website. After some research and discussion I decided to call and purchase the pendant. I had an immediate returned call and an easy transaction- along with a quick helpful update for shipping.
