08/01/2023 UPDATE Two years since my original recommendation from Eastman that I have 4 teeth pulled and a total of nearly $15,000 work done just as a start. I still have all my teeth and am doing fine after SRP and quarterly periodontal maintenance cleanings. I am so glad that I got multiple other opinions before accepting the plan recommended by Eastman. I decided to go to LECOM Dental College as one of the other opinions. They have nothing to gain by lying to me or being unnecessarily aggressive with their treatment plans. They do refer to reputable outside professionals for things they can’t perform there. There are no charges for consultations and very reasonable for the work they do perform. Students do the work but everything including consultations are overseen by professionals with decades of experience. 11/18/2021 This is only my 3rd ever review—my second for Eastman. Dr Christie recommended 4 of my teeth be pulled and $14,000 worth of work. While this is one option 3 dentists and 2 periodontists at two different facilities have x-rayed and examined my mouth. ALL 5 of these medical professionals agreed that pulling my teeth is a far too aggressive approach for my age and overall health. They ALL also agreed that it would be prudent to begin my treatment with Scaling and Root Planing before recommending surgery. In addition Eastman did not even address the issue of my needing a night guard which can greatly reduce more damage to my teeth. What bothered me was Dr Christie and her staff were unwilling to discuss any alternative to pulling 4 of my teeth and surgery. I asked about possibly doing the SRP but there was no discussion. I realize Dr Christie has seen very progressive and damaging cases of periodontal disease and may have felt this aggressive treatment to be the best. However, 5 professionals disagreed and were only told of Dr Christie’s recommends after they gave their own. If you aren’t comfortable with a treatment plan get a second opinion before going forward. It may be deemed necessary to do gum surgery in the future—however I am happy that these other professionals see the benefits of listening to my concerns and trying less aggressive treatment that is recommended by the American Dental Association and other professional dental agencies as first steps. 9/18/2021 Everyone was friendly. The doctor explained things. However, if you want a practice willing to COOPERATE with other practices within your insurance network and your financial circumstances, you will not get that here. There is a set treatment plan and associated $1000s and $1000s worth of procedures. While this may be the MOST beneficial in reality many people due to no fault of their own require less expensive treatment—while not ideal or even what they may prefer can still offer a lot of benefit. Their attitude is “ALL OR NOTHING”.

I was referred to Dr Lindsay by a friend & I am so glad that I met him! I moved back to this area at the beginning of the year & needed a periodontist as my prior Dr. was no longer in practice. After consulting 2 other Drs., I am highly impressed with Dr. Lindsay & his entire staff. He recommended a course of treatment that was successful, working with my regular dentist, as well. Can't say enough great things about Dr. Lindsay. If you need a periodontist, he's your guy! 😁

Dr. Eastman and his staff are amazing. They are so caring and professional. The quality of care is state of the art and of the highest standards. I am myself a dentist and I have referred hundreds of patients to Dr. Eastman. I have witnessed the superb results of his care. I am a patient as well and can't offer a better endorsement of his skill and character than that! He has hired an incredible team to support him. I was looking for a periodontist that does the pinhole approach for addressing gum recession. Many of my family members went to Eastman and recommended the practice to me. I just had my first experience with Dr. Christie Eastman and her team and couldn’t be more pleased. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked Dr. Eastman many questions and she answered each one with clear, understandable responses. After my initial consult, I gladly scheduled my oral surgery as I am confident in Dr. Eastman and the team. Give them a call and see how they can help you. Update. I had my gum surgery. Not even 24hrs later, I am feeling good with minimal edema and pain. Dr. Christie and her team were excellent and helped me navigate this new territory. Update. I had my first teeth cleaning by them and everyone was both friendly and professionally excellent. The hygienist was knowledgeable and skillful. I was in an out in less than an hour, including consideration for extra safety measures due to COVID. I will be returning. Update. I returned for another semi-annual cleaning. Fantastic experience.

We were very impressed with how nice & helpful all of the staff were. They were very knowledgeable and explained everything in a clear and understandable way. Dr Eastman was very welcoming and made us feel that we were special. He explained everything well so we knew what to expect when he did the procedure and I went through recovery. He even called me the morning after surgery to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. My wife is a Nurse Practitioner and was very impressed with the skill and patient care. Dr. Eastman is wonderful. I'm not a good patient, very anxious, and I was put at ease imediately with his kind, gentle and reassuring manner. He was able to fix a minor problem on the spot and set me up with much needed referrals. His staff is friendly, but professional and very efficient. Overall, if a visit to the dentist can be pleasant, it was!

I saw Dr. Eastman for a full periodontal consultation. I was extremely impressed with him. He spent a great deal of time with me so I completely understood the health of my gums and tissues, including a thorough review of x-rays and digital pictures. He recommended a treatment plan which includes tissue grafts of 2 lower teeth. Dr. Eastman was very patient and professional. I really enjoyed meeting him and he has earned my trust to move forward with the recommended treatment.
