A peaceful place is somewhere you can go to slow down, reflect, engage in enjoyable activities. You can be alone or with others who you find relaxing to be around. A place that doesn’t demand anything of you or expect you to be someone you’re not – where you can just be. In your own space, you can be noisy or quiet, or work on activities and interests that you are passionate about, read, or otherwise escape life’s daily stresses and routines. It’s important to have a place to retreat, a place that brings you a sense of calm and a respite from life’s hectic pace at least once a week, if not daily. Having a designated retreat space that’s easy to access isn’t only nice, but necessary for many of us, particularly those of us who gain and recharge our energy from being alone. If you live with other people, it’s also important for each of you to have your own space to relax and restore your energy. A peaceful physical place supports a peaceful mind. I bring you the MARA TRIANGLE Where is your peaceful place? __ALISON BRILL__

Much better than the Masai Mara National Reserve. This area is home to the same (if not more) incredible landscape and wildlife, but with better roads, stricter management, and overall a much more pleasant wildlife viewing experience. You are far less likely to find unethical and selfish drivers like you do in the main reserve, and wildlife sightings such as lions are carefully monitored by rangers for the animal’s protection to ensure ethical game viewing. Passing in and out of the reserve is also easy from the triangle, even though there is hardly any reason to do so.

Wow! Kenya does not disappoint! The awe inspiring animals are amazing and plentiful in an unspoiled environment. The people are beautiful and charming! My time at Angama Mara Nature Reserve was a magical and life changing adventure!

Nice reserve adjacent to Maasai Mara. We didn’t see many animals apart from giraffes and gazelles, but still some very nice scenery here and much more peaceful compared to Maasai Mara which is often busy with other safari vehicles. One notable stop here is the border between Kenya and Tanzania (although crossing into Tanzania here is not allowed!) Nice to see Serengeti from here.

Amazing wildlife experience. If you want to see the Big 5 and many more, the Mara Triangle is a must. Every hill, valley and plain there's something to see. Never a dull moment

Just an incredible place. You feel like you're dreaming, especially if you go during the Great Migration when hundreds of thousands of animals migrate the open plains. It's beautiful to know something like this still exists on Earth. Hopefully it continues to be protected. Went here with a tour, our driver took the big overland vehicle...very rough roads. The experience didn't disappoint as we saw everything we wanted to see, including an active hunt by lions. It's beautiful looking into the distance and seeing the land spotted by animals as far as the eye can see!

A M A Z I N G! Saw all the animals as advertised except the white rhino but went to lake Nakuru for that. Place I stayed as wasn’t luxury by any means but the people were friendly and met so many other travelers. Here or the Serengeti is the place to be

Every respected traveler knows about the marvels of Masai Mara and it deserves its reputation. It's hard to put words on experiences like these, just go! You'll feel like being in a nature documentary.

Amazing! When westerners think about African Safari, they are imagining Masai Mara, whether they realize it or not. One of the best things the park has going for it is it's small size, which means all of the wildlife is packed into a smaller area and the Safari vehicles can cover much of the park in one day. For instance, my group saw the big five as well as the wildebeest migration all in the same day! Truly amazing. A must visit for Kenya.

I had no knowledge or expectations - and I was blown away by the beauty. The green hills, helped by night rains meant the last herd of wildebeest and zebra was still in residence. Seeing them collect for the river crossing was a once in a lifetime experience. That and all animals nursing their young.

The gate service is wanting. Campsites are good but can be better taken care of. Iseya has toilets but no running water at camp

It’s just fabulous. A lot of wild animals. It’s a must in your safari planning. There is two parks in Mara. The triangle is administrated by another groupe. Very well maintain. You have to pay extra fees to visit this part of the Masai Mara park.

A must do in life and a definite bucket list activity. So different to any park in South Africa. The openness and vastness is breathtaking and beautiful.

Amazing experience! Saw a lot of animals at Maasai Mara - herds of elephants, lots of migrating Zebras, giraffes, several groups of lions, some cheetah and a leopard!

This is the place for you if you want to have a meet up with nature. My only advice is to go there early before the carnivores go to rest. And don't use the main road if you want to meet any of the wild animals. But most importantly, CARRY YOUR OWN FOOD! Carry with you some snacks otherwise you'll starve. Serena is 50 kilometers away- 1 hour plus drive away. And food there is waaay expensive unless you are paying using $$$. We were told they have a canteen but to be safe, carry with you some snacks or your own food. You'll see every other animal btw. I saw buffalos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles, ostriches, etc.

I loved the place. Good for adventure with the big five. Always the best to visit away from busy schedules. It can be helpful when reflecting with God's nature both animals and vegetation. I too recommend Mara Duma Bush Camp very clean and price friendly.
