This is such a beautiful and peaceful place. One of the best place for a game drive. The environment is so beautiful plus you can spot a variety of animals from big animals Elephants and buffaloes to the small ones like gazelles and nocturnal animals. It is the home to the last two surviving northern white rhinos and the gentle, blind black rhino, Baraka. You can also visit the Rhino cemetery to check out the fallen rhinos πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯. If you are daring enough, there are campsites you could check out.

Good and affordable conservancy for fun or students going for education tours. The Ol Pajeta Conservancy is a private animal park located in Nanyuki. It sits on a 360km squared land. The conservancy is a non-profit one with dozens of animals, mostly rescued from countries that hunt and kill them for meat, as trophies, or for slave trade. If you're taking students, just have them carry student IDs if you want to pay children rates (350/- per student) It's also where you'll find the remaining endangered rhinos in the whole world.

The roads to Ol Pejeta are really good. A saloon car can get there very easily. The staff at the gate were really friendly and guided us accordingly. The roads inside Ol pejeta are also well maintained and the location markers are well displayed hence you can drive yourself inside very easily but to encourage employment, you can always use a guide. Just use the map given at the gate and follow the signage and have a good drive there. I would highly recommend if visiting Nanyuki

Price has gone up to Citizen: 1400ksh Resident : 2600ksh Foreigner : 90USD from 16 Dec 2021. The price would be twice on Christmas and New Years. That was too foggy in early morning and couldn’t find any animals for a while on a day we went in December. We had no luck, we explored for 6hours but we couldn’t find lions, even giraffes. Elephant White Rhino Black Rhino Impala Hartebeest Desert Warthog Gazelle Buffalo Chimpanzee Zebra Black Jackal Crowned Crane Grey Heron Helmeted Guineafowl

Perfect day to see almost all the big five. Many animals were out despite the dryness and dusty environment. We took a guide at the entrance. Patrick was just fantastic in his explanations. The kids loved to feed Baraka, the blind rhino.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy is located in Nanyuki and I had an amazing experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the roads were well maintained, making it easy to tour the entire place. The view of Mount Kenya was breathtaking and seeing Baraka, the blind rhino, was a unique and special experience. We also got to stand on the equator, which was thrilling. The conservancy is home to a variety of wildlife, and the game drive was one of the highlights of our trip. Ol Pejeta is a leading wildlife conservancy in Kenya, known for its efforts in protecting endangered species. It was great to learn about conservation efforts and contribute to the cause by visiting. Overall, I highly recommend Ol Pejeta Conservancy to anyone visiting Kenya or living in Kenya. It's a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Kenya's wildlife and landscape while also contributing to conservation efforts.

Beautiful place. Never seen so many buffaloes at a go in any conservancy yet like I did here. I didn't get to see the lions something we were too excited to see but I'll definitely go back.

We liked the place and the staff were friendly especially at the chimp sanctuary. However in the game drive we encountered rangers who insist on being paid to show where certain animals were, we learnt that they even chase the most sought after animals from where they can be easily seen so that you pay to be shown. We were lucky to see the big 4 though with the exception of hippo. Will be going back.

Ol Pejeta is a piece of πŸ•Šon 🌍. The serenity the place offers is beyond measure. The Flora and Fauna completes the hills and open Savannah fields. It's the best place to recharge and unwind 🌳

We got to see a lot of things but the price for non residents is absurd compared to residents. Makes it almost not worth going! One of the highlights was the restaurant inside. Really good!!

I went to Kenya in June, 2022, with Craftours. We spent three nights at the Serena Sweetwaters Camp and went on several safaris in Ol Pejeta Conservatory. It was the most incredible experience of my life. The only one of the "big five" we did not see was a leopard. We saw two separate prides with their kills. One was a Cape buffalo, which we returned to on each safari to see the progress. The other was a zebra that had been mostly consumed by the time we came across them. Ol Pejeta is where the last Northern white rhinos are. The last male, Sudan, died, but the Conservancy did collect sperm. The educational information at the Conservancy was interesting and quite fascinating, TBH. There is a rhino grave yard at the Conservancy. It was beautiful and emotional to see. Each rhino has a memorial plaque with his or her information on it. It is heartbreaking to see how many of them were killed by poachers for their horns. I will return to Ol Pejeta some day. I thought that it would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. However, I MUST go back to this incredible place.

This conservancy is a lot of things. Above all, it is heart warming and eye opening. From meeting the chimpanzees (who all come from different backgrounds) to feeding the world’s last two Northern White Rhinos Fatu & Najin, it was a special experience. If you’re thinking of safaris, you have to go here! In my capacity as a UN Goodwill Ambassador, I can tell you that this conservancy is doing things differently and actively in comparison to many other global efforts. Zacharia, Jacob, Peter, Paul & the many others we met- thank you. And oh, the conservancy gift shop has a great selection to pick souvenirs/mementos from.

Ol Pejeta is the most wonderful place on earth for African wildlife conservation. Everything you can imagine to see, you can at Ol Pejeta. The animals are living authentic wild lives. The experience is wild. Within minutes of arriving at Ol Pejeta, we had already seen a herd of elephants, crash of rhinos and pride of lions (post hunt, bellies full and sated). The dedication, knowledge and love the rangers and guides have for the animals is unquestionable. Our guide, Manu, went above and beyond to give us the best experience. Nothing was too much. And his knowledge and love for his Kenyan homeland and animals wonderful to see. Thank you Manu

The very best place to see safari! If you're looking for a place to see the Big 5, this is it. The best thing about Ol Pejeta is that the animals likely feel safer there since it's a conservancy. The other thing is, unlike the Mara and other national parks, there are not a zillion safari vehicles surrounding the animals. This makes me so much happier for them. But the very very very best part of Ol Pejeta is the staff. Especially the drivers like Sam, Manu and Jimmy. These guys will treat you like family and do whatever they can to make sure you see all of the amazing wildlife that OPC has to offer. Whether you're staying at the Stables or Pelican House, you're in for good food and an amazing experience. This is now my most favorite place on the planet!

After flying into Nairobi this was the first park Mama Savana Safaris took us to for a game drive and we saw almost everything that first day/night! You can also pay extra to see the last two remaining female northern white rhinos and learn about what the conservancy is doing to help protect the species! It’s incredible! They will basically soon be using embryos and inseminating southern white rhinos, using them as a surrogate to help carry the babies and hopefully save the specific rhino! 🦏 I highly suggest going even if it’s just to see those two rhinos! The park has so much to offer and is so close to Nairobi!

Ol Pejeta is one of the best safari destinations I have been to in Kenya. The road from Nanyuki can be challenging to smaller cars, especially during rainy seasons, but once there, the experience is unforgettable. From seeing the big 5, to the way they take care of the Rhinos, to the museum where they have the facts about animals. The rangers are very friendly too.

Such a peaceful , calm and beautiful conservancy. Everything about it is so beautiful. There are so many animals to see here in there natural setup as should be. So much bird watching. Star gazing. Enjoying a beautiful gamedrive. It's just gorgeous. Please also be really mindful not to disturb the animals there as we are really going into their territory, it's good enough they let us share their space. Please respect it too.

What an outstanding experience & opportunity to get to see the the last 2 northern white rhinos! Wish I had come earlier to meet Sudan. Biy I have not cried this much in a long time. But there ate 13 little angelsl of hope that will make his legacy last. IM REALLY DISAPPOINTED TO SEE ANYOME DRIVE FREELY WITH NO SUPERVISION & ALSO IN ANY COLOR CARS. ALL OF THESE CAN BE A RECIPE FOR DISASTER FOR THIS WONDERFUL CONSERVATION HEAVEN..PLEASE TIGHTEN UP THE RULES.

When we decided to rent a truck and driver and go into the conservancy, we would have never dreamed we would have as great of an experience as we had! We saw so many animals so close up!! We saw two lions, many giraffes, elephants (one that walked right up to us), black and white rhinos everywhere, zebra, gazelle, Impala, eland, oryx, buffalo, monkeys, and even two hippos! It was fantastic! Would highly recommend it!!

If you want to wake up in the wild with wildlife walking in your backyard with Mt Kenya in the background, then it's the place for you. They have holiday homes within the park which are great. You can visit with family and friends over a long weekend. There's a pool to just chill and cool down as well.

Loved it. This place is a Rhino haven and the Mountain Kenya Wildlife estate is within the conservancy beautiful homes facing Mount Kenya. You can swim, bike, walk or just sleep in. Its self catering or you can get a chef. It's a bucket list destination

Its a conservancy at its own levels.. beautiful and beautiful and beautiful by all it's corners. A sanctuary of abused chimpanzee lies at its heart brought and given second chances at life. Equater closes and cuts through it. The last of the only surviving northern white rhinos mother NAJIN and daughter FATU has found their nesting place and ooh yes the sarrrogates to help keep the northern species on course of survival... The rhinos cemetery some due to human poaching and others due to natural causes and age related.. the encounter is just unending.... And when the down pour opens your 4by4 should be put to good use.. the experience the breathtaking scenes the adventure awaits to unfold ... The picnics and camp sites welcome you in a daze worth your friendlyness ... And when you try to not wonder you wander to the wonder... At its environs lies the asilia's genuine difference BUSH CAMP.

Ol Peseta is a real gem. It’s perfectly sized to showcase the Big Five of Africa. Unlike Tsavo or Maasai, it’s not overwhelmingly large but it’s still 90k acres so large enough to go around all day and not see the same thing. The only negative comment I have is on the Chimp display. They have social distancing from the chimps for COVID-19 which in 2023 I find to be absolutely ludicrous and anti-scientific. There’s no evidence nor anecdotes that CV-19 has killed any chimps so enacting these strange measures at a conservancy is just asinine. That negative aside, I loved the park and would definitely come back. I hope those in charge of these things read the above and reconsider those measures.

The northern white rhinos are almost extinct. The Ol Pajeta Rhino conservatory has given shelter to the last 2 remaining northern white rhinos. We were not lucky to visit them as there is a limitation in number of visits. But we had other reasons to be excited. We were lucky to visit Baraka, the black Rhino. Baraka is a blind Rhino and the conservatory has given shelter to it. If not for the conservatory, Baraka would have been dead.

I stayed 3 days in Ol Pejeta conservancy in January 2020. The landscape of in Ol Pejeta, which is located in Laikipia plateau is beautiful. The fauna in Ol Pejeta is also fantastic. In the park, during day game drives, we have seen many animals, including: - lions. If you are interested, you can make reservation for activity of lion tracking (with the rangers of the conservancy) - cheetahs, leopards; - den of spotted hyena with cubs; - den of bat eared foes with playful cubs; - endangered and wonderful Grevy zebras, reticulated giraffes, Jackson hartebeests - families of elephants - southern white rhinos and 2 northern white rhinos that are permanently checked by rangers - very beautiful birds During, night game drives, we were lucky as we saw: serval cat, porcupines, zorillas and bushbabies. Finally, we also visit the centre of patrolling dogs, with bloodhounds with their very powerful nose, allowing them to track poachers efficiently. These dogs and the rangers are called in the whole Kenya to track poachers. When you visit the centre, the rangers explain everything you’ve ever wanted to know about their very useful activities to protect Kenyan wildlife, and you can assist to a demonstration of bloodhounds’ anti-poaching activities. It’s an unforgettable experience!!! Altogether, if you want to have an authentic and unique experience of wildlife, I HIGHLY recommend to stay in Laikipia plateau and Ol Pejeta conservancy
