I was super excited to celebrate my one year anniversary here but beyond disappointed with what we walked into; the floor was super sticky like they haven’t been cleaned for months. Hairs, food scraps, eyelashes & ANTS all over the bed and floor. For an almost $400 room, we decided to not stay the night & check out. Only positive thing I can say is the ladies at the front desk were great! Please don’t stay here, you’ll be wasting your time & money.

The rooms definitely need to be updated, same style of room when I came 20 years ago. Do yourself a favor don't look around the bed frame so much dirt. I'm actually shocked they dont have bedbugs. We definitely won't be returning!!!

If I could give negative stars, I would! It was a horrific experience. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon night, we ordered the suite via telephone and when we came they had us booked for a lower suite that we didn’t pay for yet charged us for the one we booked on the phone. In addition, a male worker with the key to our room walked in on me while I was naked in the jacuzzi. On top of that, there was pee on the bed when we got ready to lay down together. It was sickening. A very horrible experience. All they said was a small discount on the next time we stay?? My husband and I tried to smile through it all because we still had each other and we had just gotten married, but I don’t want them to treat anybody else this way. Please do not even consider going to this place.

First time staying and definitely the last. The rooms pictured online are very deceiving. I booked the super essence suite which cost about $250 and I was barely a set above a 2 star motel. There was a bug/beetle on the cabinet, ants in the whirlpool tub and steam shower, the bed frame was chipped, the tub knob was cracked and glues together making it hard to turn on and off the water, blow dryer filled with lint, there was a little wood carpartment in the bathroom that wasn't sealed, and all the furnishing were dated, worn down and mismatched. We received 1 tiny bottle of shampoo, when we called the front desk and asked for another, they said we'd have to go out at get it from the desk ourselves. Just for perspective the rooms are outside in a separate area from the front office so in the cold rain it was particularly annoying to have to go outside and walk all the way out to the office. I guess The receptionist was too busy watching the NBA finals to be bothered. It was anything but a romantic stay. For $250 a Night, you'd except 5 star quality. Save your money, I wish I did.

Me and my husband was here for our 10th year anniversary. And for this being our first time there everything was very nice. The room was clean, smelled nice had a smoking room. I don't want to make it long but again everything was perfect. I'm a member now and most definitely will be back.

My wife surprised me by going here and I'm pleasantly surprised. Doesn't look like much from the outside but I recommend. The room was clean and the amaneties are great!

It was my wife's birthday weekend and I was told she would get complimentary rose petals, balloons and sparkling wine. Well when we checked in, none of that happened. I called the front desk and they apologized and offered a free robe and some candles. We got the candles and bath balls. The night went pretty good until it was time to get some sleep and that's when we realized these beds were not meant for sleeping..I might as have made camp on the floor, the bed was hard. We woke up and checked out before 9am. While getting dressed I noticed some small bugs all around. This place needs to be renovated, upgraded and newly owned. Needless to say, we won't be back.

Just left this wonderful hidden away hotel and I must say I'm impressed! The staff is friendly yet professional, the rooms are amazing VERY CLEAN! WE ENJOY THE LARGE JACUZZI TUB IN THE STEAM SHOWER WE SLEPT LIKE BABIES ALL NIGHT! AND THE PRICE IS FAIR I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CHECK THIS OUT!

Me and my boyfriend really had a great time. The room was nice and clean. They were really nice at the front desk.! I got to do a late check out with no problem. Everything was amazing I really enjoyed my birthday weekend here at the essence !

Me and my husband had such an amazing stay here. The rooms are clean and set up beautifully. Stocked up with lots of towels and toiletries from bath and bodyworks. The Bluetooth sound bar was used during our entire stay! Loved that the employees don’t rush check out and $10 per hour isn’t bad at all if you wake up late. If you need a fun relaxing getaway this is the spot to go for sure. Great employees that were very helpful and friendly it was such a great experience. 10/10 recommend! Can’t wait to come back and try a different package!

Omg!!! My room was very clean and romantic. You can always adjust the temperature & lighting to set the mood. I loved the jacuzzi and the mirrors the most. Oh! & the surround sounds

First I thought okay $283/night it should be a great an experience!!! Well I walk in and the mirror on the ceiling is damaged, I believe from water damage. The TV didn't work nor was there a remote to use the TV. Not to mention, the lights are operated by ten switches 🤦🏾‍♂️ there's a step where we kept either tripping up or tripping down the step. The rooms need to updated.

Beautiful and calming atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable so I got a good night sleep and the hot tub was very large and relaxing. This was a nice way to celebrate my self care weekend.

A very moldy shower left a bad taste in my mouth accompanied by a half apology. For the price and having to pay for a membership definitely expected more than a motel feeling. Really hope the tip I left for the cleaning man got him motivated to clean the room properly. I had hoped to make my boyfriends birthday more memorable than a quick check out early in the morning after my attempt to shower. We don't get out often and spending hard earned money left feeling underwhelmed with our stay.

This was our first time at the hotel. We celebrated our 23rd anniversary. The staff was amazing on the phone and in-person. We were in the Essence Suite room was very clean and decorated with balloons, roses petals and candles for our anniversary. I would of given 5stars but the room did need some updating. We will definitely stay again!! We really enjoyed our stay.

Had a little difficulty finding it due to directions I was receiving but once we found it the rest of the visit was extremely enjoyable! The staff was pleasant, the room was very clean and quiet. There was no outside noise at all. It was like being shut off from the world just to ourselves. We had a GREAT TIME!!!😌🥰

The room looks better online… The room wasn’t clean… Needs to be updated… Jacuzzi water was Luke warm couldn’t keep hot water… Pizza is thin and bogus… I’m from out of town so I thought this was a nice place… but I see you should just take a bust down here… That’s it

Location is great especially for travelers. You are surrounded by nice restaurants, Beautiful homes, great bars and shopping stores galore! If you've ever been to or wanted to go to the sybaris but hate the huge price tag, try this place. It has Beautiful rooms whirl pool tubs for 2, steam showers big enough for playtime and a fireplace to set the mood! If your ever in town or coming by I say try it. You won't regret it.

Room wasn’t cleaned properly. The coat hooks on the back of door were broken. The light switches had dirt around the perimeters as well as some areas of the wall. The most disgusting thing was our hot tub wasn’t cleaned. There was dirty scum coming from the jets. It looked like someone poured dirt in the water! We couldn’t even use the hot tub. They need to do better! So much for our special Valentines get away!

Booked there for 2 nights for our anniversary. Our first night was last night went there and the room was so outdated, the sheets and towels looked dingy. There was no hot water in neither sink but in the jacuzzi so weird. I brought my own Clorox wipes, and I was wiping things down, and my Clorox wipe was dirty. We purchased the most expensive room to get what we got was a disgrace. The lady at the front door was nice to refund us one of our nights back. We tried to stay but left at 5am to find a cleaner comfortable room. Essence Suites have to do better.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If I could give this place negative stars I would. Pictures can be very very deceiving let me tell you. Online these rooms look nice and clean and up to date. We wanted to give them a try since sybaris and almost everyone else was booked. WORST mistake ever made. We booked the best room they had for 2 nights. Upon entering the room you get smacked with the smell of cigarettes. As you look around the room you start noticing all the flaws and everything that's wrong with the room. First, the door to the unit felt like you can break in to the room just by maybe giving it a good hit with your elbow. That's how flimsy the door felt. The bed sheets had stains on them that seemed to look like maybe blood stains? Above the fireplace was black dust build up. Behind the toilet seemed like they really didn't bother cleaning too good. The room that was right next to ours had people working in it and it was 8 almost 9 o'clock at night!!! Honestly the list goes on with this place and it was just a very uncomfortable and nasty feeling. It was mine and my wife's 17 year anniversary and it broke me when she said she didn't feel comfortable staying the night there. I paid almost $600 for the 2 nights there and we didn't even last an hour there. We immediately started looking for another hotel to stay the night and left. This place is a step above a roach motel and I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is not worth the time or the money. I lost money on this place because of their no refund policy but to have a piece of mind at night and be able to sleep it was so worth going to another place.

We enjoyed our stay! It was quiet, the room was big, jacuzzi was huge! My husband enjoyed the steamroom. Make sure to ask about any extras at the front desk!

It was very secure and comfortable. I like how they have to sound box for your music and the rooms are so affordable. A 10 out of 10

Decent experience, great staff, awful WiFi. I stayed in room 131 and the WiFi was constantly fluctuating so I was never online for more than a few seconds at a time. I typically bring a travel router with me that connect to hotel WiFi and produces its own WiFi signal so I have a private network within the hotel network. This lets me use a Chromecast and any other devices without worry about other hotel guests trying to connect to my gear. My phone and travel router, which has a stronger signal than my phone, was never able to get a solid connection. This is a shame but not a deal breaker. If any admins at this location see this review, please look into a wireless networking company called Ubiquiti and their UniFi product line. They offer VERY affordable WiFi access points, wireless bridges, routers, cameras, etc. Hire a local MSP to come out and install access points in each room and isolate the clients on the network for the security of the guests. You can provide much better Internet service these days for a really low cost. I've been to very rural Mom and pop hotels that use these devices and have had better WiFi than most 3-star hotels I've been to. Otherwise, my stay was excellent. The TV in my room has a faulty LCD display that produced horizontal lines and flashing data at the bottom half of the display. Not a big deal, but could be replaced for a low cost. Oh also, the soundbar in my room was loosely attached to the wall, they make these neat soundbar mounts that look like hockey sticks that let you mount the soundbar under/over the TV and still allows for a wall arm. This ensures that when you articulate the TV, the soundbar always points in the same direction as the TV. Highly recommend that, as well!

room had ant infestation we didn't notice till they were all over anything that was on the floor. staff came and spayed poison all over the floor for the ants during are stay. and knew that this was an issue but were still using this room seen many other reviews saying the same thing. room had broken tiles and didn't seam vary clean either.

The experience was amazing. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Customer service was great and I’m definitely coming again.

This place was very accommodating me and my wife enjoyed our stay very much and you get to earn points towards items and the shop and even your next stay. Best of all the rooms were clean and stocked.

Room was not clean, there were bugs, hot tub was disgusting I had to clean before using, I even took pics of everything and showed front desk and all they said was I'll show manager. I will not be back. We went for my boyfriends surprise birthday present ya it was a surprise.

Not a good experience. When arrived a Bat was flying inside the office. We had to wait inside the car until the bay left. The room was really small for the price and it was Ant infested. They got on the bedspread inside our snack bag. The counter was full of them. The suggested to have housekeeper come Nope. We removed the spread the next morning tried to leave they offered another room. It was bigger still had ants. We check out that Sunday and went to another hotel. A BAD EXPERIENCE

Our experience with Essence Suites was amazing. We got the most expensive suite and tbh it’s not really huge, but nice & cozy for you & your significant other. I’ve seen past comments about rooms being filthy but our room was for sure clean! Only thing we had a issue with was the workers not wanting to bring things to the room, but that’s understandable we are adults and can walk to the office ourself. The free heart shaped pizza was cute and yummy :) We will be coming back soon!

Everyone was nice and went above and beyond for our stay! Everything was clean and together, we loved it. It was also nice to be close to everything. Stores for shopping as well as great restaurants. We will definitely be back!

I needed to edit because I said we probably would come back. I meant probably NOT. Yes the staff was nice but when you are spending this much money, you should have 4 stars or better. We too experienced pubic hairs and picking up tags. Because of the way the bed looked I went and got a blanket to sleep on. Its non-refundable so we made the best of a not so good situation. And you can hear others in the rooms. YIKES!!!

The tub and the shower were to die for. I would love to have those in my house ! The pizza we got was like the best pizza I've ever had. It was just great. My only tiny probably wad that there were lots of baby ants in the room. I had left the pizza out on the counter and then had to throw the rest of it away because there were ants all over it. I would definitely stay there again ! There's sooo many restaurants and shopping areas literally 2 seconds away. It was fantastic.

There's hundreds of 🐜 crawling on the bed, the counter with the microwave and pretty much everywhere else. We call the front desk several times just for it to go unanswered. So we go to the office and there was a sign that said, "Be back in ten minutes ." Well that's a lie because we stood there for over an hour waiting for an employee to arrive. And no one ever showed up.I almost forgot to mention all the public hairs that were in the tub, toilet, hot tub and sheets. And we took videos and pictures to prove everything. We packed up and went to a clean hotel. Worst place ever!

The service was very good. The front desk manager was very welcoming and accommodating . The room was clean, warm and welcoming. I would recommend a stay at the Essence Suites.
