Let me start off with the gentleman owner (I believe) explained everything extremely well . I went here to try something new! It was not a mistake!!! Ate food I didn't think I liked .oh, was I wrong!! LOVED IT!! The wife got some of this, and I got some of that... allowed us to try everything... a month old gem I just heard about.. part of me wants to keep to myself... but really, everyone needs to try this.. oh, and a soda that tastes like the candy circus peanuts!!! The atmosphere is ok but I feel was a left over of the prior establishment... I hope the succeed an make it their own!!!! Definitely will be back

Food was DELICIOUS! Was my first time there, and the guy was welcoming and explained everything, since I didn’t know what some of the foods were. Definitely will be going back!

Greeted by the kindest human being, helped me find their vegetarian options (empanadas for us!!!!! and many sides!), and I can finally say THERE IS NOW GOOD FOOD IN CORTLAND! Thank you to the awesome man who was a joy to talk to, the amazing chef that popped out of the kitchen, and thank you to their son's girlfriend being a vegetarian! Y'all have a great thing going here, I'll be back for sure!

On our way to Canada we found Boricuan restaurant, served by the owner’s a family restaurant, we had Pernil, Mofongo served with rice and Yuca with sautéd cebolla en vinagre. The food was amazingly tasty and delicious. I felt like I was back in Puerto Rico cozy with a Caribbean accent and the best the Latin Music in the background, Don’t forget to take dessert I had the Tres Leche with Chocolate, 🇵🇷🧑‍🍳😌

In love with this restaurant. Came to visit a nephew at Cortland university from Brooklyn; My family and I were blown away by the authenticity of “La bamba Cuisine.” This is a true Puerto Rican restaurant that focuses on taste and quality. NOTE: Their flans are addictive, I ate 3!!!

If you found the reviews on Google for La Bambi Cuisine, you likely have no excuse for not going their. Today was my first time. I found them by driving South on I-81 looking for a place to eat lunch on Google Maps. The high rating convinced me to stop and try it. Does La Bamba Cuisine deserve a 4.9 rating? No, it deserves a full 5 star rating. Excellent food, explained well by the owner and chef. The shredded pork and yellow rice are beyond excellent and amazingly delicious. The pork melts in your mouth with a beautiful assortment of flavors satisfying your taste buds. The Beef Empanada is equally delicious with the perfectly made and cooked shell to the delicious filling. The only issue with La Bamba Cuisine is I live hundreds of miles away. Thankfully I travel for work and I’ll be able to make return trips into this fine establishment. Well done La Bamba Cuisine. Well done indeed. Thank you for doing what you do to make this restaurant stand out from the crowd.

My family stopped here for lunch while visiting Greek Peak. We ordered a tripleta and two veggie plates. All of our food was fantastic. This is a family run restaurant and it shows. Our experience was incredibly welcoming and friendly. If you're in the area, definitely stop here for a bite to eat. Don't forget to grab one of their many delicious desserts on your way out.

Me and my friend stopped in for lunch, the smell when you walk in alone will make your mouth water! Food is unbelievably tasty and authentic, my friend got the dinner sized portion and had pork rice, beans, and pollo guisado, I got the lunch plate with pork rice, sweet plantains and chuleta (pork chops) they are so flavorful and moist! We also got a cheese stuffed potato ball and beef empanada which are both delicious! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and were happy to explain what was what, will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to come here since they opened. Definitely worth the wait- but you shouldn't wait! This place is amazing. The food was delicious, varied, and definitely something new and different to me. I was excited to come in and be directed from the staff at what to try and what everything was. I went with a friend so between the two of us, we were able to try almost all of the hot, ready food. It was incredibly delicious! The staff was so friendly and helpful. I'm so glad I went with a big appetite and was able to try the desserts too! We are definitely coming back as soon as possible. So happy to have some different cuisine and flair in Cortland! The staff was so friendly- they were so nice to talk to and checked on us to make sure we were having an enjoyable time.

La Bamba is an amazing restaurant set in the River Side Plaza. When you walk in, you are hit with an aroma of Caribbean cuisine! The food has an amazing taste and the service is phenomenal. The place is kept clean and tidy. Looks to be a small mom and pop shop serving up amazing food for a great price!

Everything was great! I wound up with the llofongo and it was heavenly. Best thing was the cheese pastry I split with my wife; I would absolutely go back just for that. The couple that owns this place were exceptionally friendly, very open with their recommendations, and even tempted us with a few free samples. Absolutely fantastic experience all around.
