I hosted my wedding reception here and it was exceptional. Even though my wife and I are not Jewish we were able to rent the event space. The customer service was very friendly and responsive. They allowed using outside catering and/or providing your own bar. The price was very fair. The event space could accommodate a lot of people. Free parking is available which is awesome for Oakland. I would highly recommend it for a wedding or reception.

Beautiful historic place. Went here for a service around Christmas with my partner who wanted a taste of hannukah while we were in town to see her family. Welcomed us with open arms. Progressive and interactive service with beautiful music. Total class act.

They throw an event for children every year to help them with back to school items. The kids get to pick an BRAND NEW outfit and shoes winter coat bookbag etc. All donated from retailers in our community. Pretty awesome

Beautiful synagogue & reception area. Very beautiful stained glass. Nice parking but not a large lot. Gorgeous neighborhood of surrounding homes

An extremely welcoming community as well as a breathtaking & fully handicap accessible event venue. I don’t know of a religious community that’s kinder.

went to the Biblical Gardens with a group It was wonderful. Truly it is a different climate in there. We learned so much and it was just i spiring to see so many species from the Torah. Loved it. Also, very beautiful synagogue.

What a beautiful and peaceful place. I enjoyed my visit. All are welcome to come for study and fellowship. They have security which you have to respect. This is not to scare away their neighbors, but the opposite: to provide a safe and wonderful space on a noisy world.

I nanny a child in the preschool there, and have attended some memorials. They have been amazingly welcoming and warm. They always have stickers in the gift shop for the children, and I never walked in without being given a genuinely joyful smile.
