Fuzzy’s is my go to for tacos in Lawrence. I love it here. The tacos are delicious (especially the tempura shrimp). The establishment is so clean and well run. The food comes out in a timely fashion every time. And the staff here is so kind and accommodating. There is a tall line cook that works the grill and she’s super cute, really adds to the ambiance. Couldn’t recommend Fuzzy’s any more highly.

Tex Mex is typically a quick in and out experience across the board. Not sure if this coincides with the labor shortage in the Industry, but boy was this painful. They were "steady", but with maybe 3 orders ahead of us it was 25 minutes to get to the register only to be greeted by a very nice, yet very slow cashier. I think he was losing things down to allow the kitchen to keep up somewhat. Figured I'd have a frozen margarita and wait out the pain.... Chilled margarita soup in a glass. Said the machine hadn't gotten cold enough yet. (7:30 pm) Food came out after another 35+ minutes and was good. Certainly not worth the wait at any rate. If they could get you in and out and serve a frozen drink out of a machine, great. Plenty of other choices around and we probably won't take the risk of trying this location again. 3 stars because I know lots of places are struggling with help. I really do hope they solve the issues as typically; this is a good spot wherever you go.

Food is excellent. The staff was kind, but very high. I was seen at the front but not waited on until the smiley high person was asked if he could please take the order. He got the manager then whom took the order. They had no Tea at the time, early in the afternoon. I know its hard to find workers, and if you go to work high that is not my business, but you have to be able to manage your high and maintain the ability to work efectively.

Quirky taco restaurant just a tad different than Mexican restaurant. Their "butt burning" sauce has a unique flavor but despite its name it is mild. Good service and clean restaurant. Food was delicious.

Excellent tacos. Shrimp tacos are great. The mahi mahi tacos was good, a bit fishy for me. The chips and guac were yummy. Worth the stop. Good margaritas.

Actually went for a friend who considers their tacos to be the best she and her coworkers have ever eaten. And, from the amount of customers I saw inside, others might agree with her. As far as the establishment, the atmosphere is fun, the staff members are friendly, the prices are reasonable and my order was brought out quickly. I would definitely recommend this eatery to anyone who is a taco lover.

This is one of the best taco shops in town! They have a great menu, lots to choose from, a friendly staff, and lots of tasty foods!!! Did I mention the big guy in the back!? Ask for Britt … he’s the best and everything he makes is dyno-mite!!!

Connor was amazing. He suggested the best meal I’ve had in Lawrence. The hospitality was great. I love the hype they really love your job cool place to hang out.

We love Fuzzys! The food is good, staff are friendly, and service is typically quick. There is a big difference in the crowd when students are in town versus the summer. The salad is served in a giant serving bowl when you order in person! (It’s just not the same if you order it to go) We didn’t order it tonight but also like getting the nachos (huge amount of food!) and the quesadillas.

I really enjoyed this place with my family. I will be back the owner was really nice. Good food. A lot of different options. A lot of seating. I got the street tacos.

I ordered the fish taco plater and got shrimp in old cold flour tortillas, got black beans instead of the rice I ordered and it took a good 30 minutes to get our food. The man did apologize for it taking so long with a lemonade but the order not being what I ordered and cold and stale. I may call to get my money back.

Best best nachos I have ever had no joke, to be honest I have never tried carnitas on nachos they were by far the best nachos I have ever had and I'm not over exaggerating you have to go to fuzzys and try there carnita nachos there to die for and they give you lots of it I give them 100 stars if I could great job guys love love love your nachos the best 👌

Not at all our usual type of Mexican restaurant, but there was a strong call for fish tacos. This place is reputed to have very good fish tacos. So we went. So, the tortillas were cold, and indeed, had never been heated, which is generally a nonstarter. The salsa was an in-house mix, kind of like a Cholula. What saved the place, however, what is the fish… We had both the grilled and tempura, and both were pretty good. So, probably not a competitor for best fish tacos in the city, given the tortillas, a lot better than it could have been. And the guys at the cash register in in the kitchen were totally great. Pleasant, friendly, patient… A total credit to the restaurant.

UPDATE: I came back again because I liked the taste of the carnitas taco so I got the plate with 2 carnitas tacos, rice n beans. It was really delicious. The tortillas were cold & uncooked & breaking but the food in all was pretty good. The tacos are the smallest I’ve ever seen. Didn’t like the fried avacado taco, there’s no flavoring. The little carnitas taco is good with the Fuzzys hot sauce. Their sign is wrong, the don’t open til 11. Sign says 10 so we had to wait around for an hour. They do have $1.50 tacos today.

Bff and I decided to try this place. Walked in and the man struggled with our orders. We both ordered a beef crispy taco and an adult beverage. Bffs order came to 8.39 and she handed him 10.39. He punched I 100.39 and handed her back the ten dollar bill. She went back and forth stating he needed to take the ten and give her back two bucks. Finally, she gave up. My order was missing my beverage and after repeating that three times, I finally got my drink. The food was excellent! The crispy taco had an overload of seasoned beef, tomatoes, lettuce and 2 types of cheese. When I bit into the hard shell, all the flavors melded into one really satisfying taste. The guacamole was one of the best I've had here in Lawrence. Lots of avocado, cilantro and tomatoes. Bffs queso was smooth, tangy and cheesy. All in all a definite 5 on all food counts. Now, the place itself? It's a dive. Seriously, my bag stuck to the bench when I attempted to pick it up. The place is grotty. Don't use the bathrooms here unless you literally have to. So the service gets a 3, food a 5 and atmosphere a 1. Maybe a gallon of bleach to clean the place would help or maybe just get take out and skip everything else.

We ordered 45 minutes ahead and it said our food was ready. We showed up and watched a worker take our food home with her. There was one worker cooking in the kitchen. They need extra staffing because clearly they do not have enough help. 5 orders in store was considered busy, so much so that they decided to close at 7pm instead of 9pm like usual. I hope management hires more workers so I can continue to come to fuzzys, otherwise we wont be back.

Super friendly knowledgeable helpful staff, EXCELLENT tacos, (and vegan/vegetarian tacos at at that!) funny kitchen that seem like the kind of people who might sing songs on request, and it’s all at a great location. I’ll be back many many times.

I love Fuzzy’s food, but the fact that when I show up to get dinner after driving 30 min to get a craving and they are closed at 8:30 pm on a Sunday is a major disappointment. Google says they are open until 9 and the sign on the front of the restaurant says 10. If management doesn’t care enough to update the community on when they will be open makes me wonder if they care about other things like expiration dates on food? Don’t think I’ll come back to this location. Big bummer

Very good food however I am only giving this four stars. The reason I am doing so is that I had my five-year-old daughter with me just now and she had to go to the bathroom. Of course I took my purse but left our drinks and everything on the table to take her. I didn’t want our food to be thrown away so I left a little note on the back of a receipt that we were in the bathroom and we were not finished eating. When we came back the table was clean and the gentleman bussing the table saw us and apologized. He asked what can He get us to make it right. I just asked for my daughters kids meal to be remade because I could live on what little I had already eaten, so he told the kitchen and the cook seemed irritated. I can tell the cooks facial expression changed. I walked up to the pick up counter to see if I can get that meal to go, which also irritated the cook and so he walked around the corner and threw our meal in a box without putting a lid on the cheese! Now cheese sauce was all over in the box and on the churros. I never leave reviews but this prompted me to do so. I feel like the food is good and most everybody in there is friendly, but for some reason the cook has a chip on his shoulder. If anybody is wondering who I’m referring to….he’s a very tall, big man with a gap in his front teeth and sandy blondish hair.

Good food. I went in one day and the manager or store owner was working the counter. He made me smile 3 times before I even paid. He said the door was left open just for me. Food is amazing. Fast and filling.

First time and last. Asked for no cilantro, cheese, or tomatoes on wife's nachos..got them all. The taco shells were literally in about 6 pieces. Dried up food all over the wrappers and bag. Definitely not a $12 burrito. I'm not a review guy I've probably given 4-5 reviews my entire life...

Just Married and our first date two years ago was here at Fuzzy’s. Takes a bit with the guy up front and he gave us a bottle of hot sauce! But even without that kind gesture of the free sauce the brisket burrito was amazing. Keep up the good work Fuzzy’s!

First time customers and we thought the food was great and there was plenty to eat. I had a salad and it waa huge my wife got shredded chicken nachos and they were excellent. And almost more than we could eat. I believe it was the owners daughter in law and we talked to her for a little bit and she was very nice and we told her how impressed we were. I will probably be going back sometime soon and looking forward to trying something else.

Went to this town for a concert saw Fuzzys and said oh we need some tacos GREAT FOOD I had 2 brisket tacoscalled a taco plate very good tacos two sides I did rice for both and I had a chicken burrito should have ask for no rice on that just because I had two sides of rice but it was really good and had plenty of TV's to watch the game on

Great food, great drinks, great prices, and great customer service!! I had the chicken quesadilla and I couldn't finish it all. I got a side of guacamole and it had chunks of avocado in it. It was a great experience!

I love this place so much. The service was great especially Carter Hansen working at the cash register. The food was incredible. 10/10.

The food is delicious and goodness the portion size is incredible! One order of nachos was more than 2 of us could eat! With extra feta cheese and garlic sauce it's a messy, finger lifting, great meal!!!!
