If I could give this location a zero I would! I’m not one to leave reviews but Chris (whose name i had to ask, because he didn’t have a name tag) at the front was rude beyond belief. To not only get smart with me for inquiring about an item that ONCE WAS on the their menu, he proceeds to tell a coworker in front of me that he’s been at work since 9am and has to be there until 9pm (which doesn’t excuse his behavior nor his attitude). I called to let the manager know what happened and I should’ve been talking to a brick wall. Next time I won’t be so nice and will embarrass him and anyone else who thinks this is ok!

Racist vibes here, had a doordash order and didn’t see it on the rack or counter and I’m on a time limit since I’m just the delivery. She was nice to the white people ahead but me and this other black dude a little dismissive. ( she has on glasses ). I said I have a doordash for this name then she says alrihht all Doordashers on the counter. “ I didn’t see it on the counter “ ( I just wanted to make sure it was getting prepared ) “ if not that means there still preparing it!!! “ with attuide in her voice. On top of that they left the bag open with no stickers barely I didn’t wanna get a bad review. Very bad service and bad for Doordashers don’t come here YALL! ( also while I was there when I passed by saw a tiny roach near a seat.

Ashley the manager is extremely rude!!! She should be devoted! I came in for bagels and got yelled at for asking for cream cheese! I will not be back until they get a better managing team!

I want to love this place, but I wish the location wasn’t so gross. I love Panera’s selections, and the location is convenient and in a beautiful building. But it is ALWAYS dirty. I come to the Summit often and am frequently tempted, but there’s an immediate smell. The floor and nearly all surfaces look like they are never cleaned. I’m not sure if they’re short-staffed, but if that’s the case it has been that way since before Covid.

This place is not a good location for ordering lunch for your work team! Place an order online 2 hours ago and came to pick the order up only to find out the order hasn’t been started. I was told tbs manager would come to speak to ma but no one came out. The nice gentleman; Chris was very considerate and offered me water. But the lady behind him asked with an very dismissive attitude if I still wanted my order as if common sense couldn't be applied to this situation. As I’m waiting on my order I heard another person who placed an online order was also missing items for their order. $230.00 spent and still have to wait a total of 3 hrs for food!

What a cute place! Worked remotely here for a day. Seating was okay, wi-fi worked great, and the food was probably the best I've had compared to any other location. I had a bagel for breakfast, which seemed kind of small but the flavor was still there. But then I had soup and grilled cheese for lunch and both were super hot and delicious. The best part was all the windows letting in natural light!

Came in for a light lunch. The customer service was very dry and unresponsive. We couldn’t understand the current specials and the staff did not explain, it was said we were bothering them. This was very disheartening.

All 5 workers stood around while i waited to order.. the one guy who finally took my order had his headphones in and phone out and was on Facetime and engaging in a conversation with someone else… paid extra for 3 baguettes, instead of telling me they ran out, they charged me and gave me 3 hamburger buns… help!?

The great food, helpful workers, and high windows made this place feel grandiose. I haven't been to Birmingham in a while, and everyone in Panera was polite and nicer than my home town, workers and customers. It was expensive but a treat.

I go here pretty frequently, food is always great and consistent. I’m always down for a soup and half sandwich!

I love Panera Bread! My fav sandwich is the Napa Valley Chicken Salad sandwich. I love the Asian salads & the Chicken & Wild Rice & French Onion soups. Yummy! Their bread is the BEST! My favorite bagel is the Cinnamon Crunch.

Staff needs to clean more in between customers. The tables & floors were extremely filthy. The trash counter needed to be wiped off. There were a lot of gnats swarming around due to countertops & tables not being clean periodically.

Lovely location. One of the best parts was the lack of music. We were able to eat in peace and the students were able to study.

This store needs a district manager visit. To be located in the Saks Plaza, it is poorly cared for. There is no care and attention taken at the ordering station. Door glass is actually gross, as is the carpet. Windows need cleaning. Really sad.

We've placed dozens of orders over the course of 3 years for either pickup or delivery. Every single order messed up. Absolutely the worst service in the area. Needs to be shut down. This time they left out an entire sandwhich. Obviously cannot read "no feta" over a dozen salads with feta still on them. Good luck if you have any allergies. This place could kill you. Not sure who's working here but they obviously need some serious training. And reading glasses.

Unacceptable dining at this Panera bread. While trying to enjoy my Signature Take, I was taken by surprise when this black thing drops out my sandwich. No test have been ran to confirm or deny what exactly this is, but it has a smell and texture of a vaginal blood clot. Disgusting, just utterly disgusting. I'm sick to my stomach!

This Panera Bread is tucked away in the back of the lower area of The Summit. They have an outdoor dining area as well as plenty of inside seating. Everything that I have ordered here has always been good. The menu is the same at virtually all Panera Bread cafes. My current favorite is a pick two with broccoli cheddar soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. Yum.

Quick service after ordering and order was perfect. Tallest employee checked me in and also served us when it was ready. He was 6’ 10” and a super nice person. Food was great and restaurant was clean.

Rude manager with lack of manners. Her hat had Ashley on it so that may be her name. I arrive to pick up my order I placed online. Politely ask if my order is ready and all she can say is did I call your name ? Without even asking my name ? She seemed to be having a hard time doing her job and should be demoted immediately.

This has been by far the worst experience I have ever encountered from "Ashley" a manager at Panera Bread! I simply cannot believe how dismissive and rude this company is to people who chose to spend their money at this location. I ordered over $200 for lunch for my team only to find out when I get there, 2 hours later that they haven't received my order. Then I'm told to wait an additional 20 minutes for my food which turned into 30 minutes. Only to find out I'm missing 4 meals. I called back and spoke with Ashley one of the managers and no apology for missing items from my order. She stated all she can do was issue me a refund. I know first hand that that is not "ALL" they can do. Why not offer to make what was missing? When asking for a refund, she asks me to call back in 30 minutes for my refund for an order they messed up. She said so she can help others that were placing their orders. But, I was JUST THERE and no one helped me... I had to wait... Ridiculous! Spend your money wisely... Maybe they will do better with smaller orders. Not orders from a small team. Next call is to their corporate office because I'm pretty sure "Ashley" wrote my credit card number down to process my refund later rather than in the moment.

Dirty place with not so fresh food. We have been to many paneras before and we love the brand but this location needs help and I’m not talking about understaffed, the strawberries in the salads looked old and soggy and the avocado was very black , they have a very nice place with very bad food.

Disappointing. The bagels are double extra small and toasted hear means slapped on both sides and waived over a candle. The chocolate croissants were old and stale. When these facts were discussed with the cashier, she acknowledged them and blamed it on a new baker. Panera is usually pretty good but we’ll be skipping this location.
