I can’t believe I just had my first meal at Bistro on Sterling! The atmosphere, the service, the management and food were all excellent! I ordered the New Orleans pasta with Shrimp and it was so delicious, I believe the food did a 2-step dance on my tastebuds! The flavors and textures were all so complimentary. My friend had the stuffed trout, I had a small taste and it melted in my mouth, it was so flavorful and tasty!!! I’m in the process of planning an outing for a Saturday brunch within the next few weeks and I plan to share The Bistro On Sterling with everyone that I hold lunch meetings. Can’t wait to dine there again. It’s officially my favorite place to dine.

My kids found this little gem of a restaurant for my birthday, we love trying new things and sometimes it doesn't work out so when we find a great place, we definitely want to make sure to let others know. We were greeted by the owner, who was very attentive and I have to thank him for the birthday dessert🙏 The drinks were so good, I'm not a heavy drinker but had to have 2. As for the food, from the appetizers to soup to dinner, ALL OF IT was just AMAZING! Shout out to Chef Evette who the owner introduced us to, this just made my day so special. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back🧡 I would share more pics but as you can see, we started eating the food before I could snap a pic.😄

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. The place has a cool vibe and the staff were all friendly and helpful. It is our first our first time being in her, we chose this restaurant after reading good reviews from yelp. Service is fast and the food has a nice portion. Their charboiled wings and giant homemade meatballs were all our favorite. The foods have a unique flavor and it was really delicious. I personally love their lemon drop cocktail. We really enjoyed our dinner and we are looking forward on our next visit! I highly recommend this restaurant! The prices are reasonable too!

Happened to poke our heads in a restaurant we'd never heard of. Best split decision I've ever made in my entire life. Wonderful atmosphere. Nice and relaxed. It's a bit of a wait, but it's absolutely worth it because everything is fresh and hot. At the end of our meal, one of the owners came to introduce himself. Genuinely nice guy. It's worth trying again. Welp! This is our second visit...a bit busy, but this time, I opted for the New Orleans Pasta. I typically avoid pasta due to my allergy. My ONLY regret is not opting to add shrimp. The warm, creamy, spicy sauce is absolutely breathtaking. It's comforting and filling without giving a heavy sleepy weight of a cream sauce. I mourned my last bite of soft noodles and a sauce that left me wanting more. The wait is most definitely positively absolutely worth it just to enjoy this dish again. I genuinely can't wait to come back.

A neighborhood Bistro that is opened late, with a kitchen putting out elevated dishes and a bar that is eager to please. Neighborhood bar feels where you go, and everybody knows your name. The owners personally thanked us for choosing them. A great evening.

If you order a burger you will be fine. The pasta dishes have an interesting flavor that is definitely an acquired taste. The service was OK and we talked to the owners who explained how the food was cooked and had the chef come to our table. They tried all of the proper steps to rectify our unsatisfied taste buds. I really think that they need to cook the pasta dishes differently so that each added item is able to impart an individual flavor instead of a conglomerate of meh. Really wanted to like the place. Argh Wait for food was a little bit long but it's life.

This was our first time visiting, the staff and drinks was amazing! My only issue was the food. The burger was unseasoned and overcook, the pasta sauce was good but all the meat was chewy like cooked it in the microwave too long. I’m going to give it a couple months before I go back.

This is one of my "musts" when visiting Chicagoland. I had shrimp and grits Saturday night. It was absolutely delicious. We finished our fabulous meal with a Grand Marnier cheesecake. The staff & owners are so welcoming & efficient! Love The Bistro on Sterling in Flossmore!

The food here was delicious and our server and the staff were amazing. My only drawback is that it a while to get our food but, it was hot and fresh. I would revisit this place just based on the exceptional customer service we experienced!

Drinks excellent, artichoke and spinach outstanding, and Ceasar salad was very good. Shrimp and grits not very good. Concentrated lemon flavor completely overpowered the taste of the dish. Lemon is not something I want in Shrimp and grits. I was in New Orleans a week ago and lemon is not a part of Shrimp and grits! I couldn't eat them. Waitress was very attentive.

Went there for drinks. The atmosphere was amazing and inviting. We were treated like we've been coming there for years. Bartender was amazing. Owners were amazing! Made reservations to come back for dinner.

Small restaurant (hence the word bistro) with small tables with not a lot of room between you and the other patrons. The menu seemed limited to me so I stuck with a universal go to that I normally feel comfortable ordering if I see it on the menu when there's nothing else of interest. That item in comparison to others I've had elsewhere was not very appetizing at all. It's a cozy place I could see taking a seat a the bar in, but it's no go for me again dining.

We had a nice server but she always seemed to be missing. (restaurant was not busy) She Would do things like drop off food with no silverware, or spend a lot of time getting a Corona....maybe it just wasn't her night? The food was Average But the Meatball Appetizer was Amazing. The Outdoor Seating was Nice, Quaint. *We would like to interact with the Bartender more as he had an outstanding personality & vibe. If I was the Owner I would Clone Him. Note: the Owner did "Try" to get things going for our table....Track down drinks etc. He seemed nice

Phenomenal staff, best steak I've had in ages (they actually know how to do a proper medium; a vanishing feat these days, completely melts in your mouth). Italian Beef sliders were delicious and disappeared in about 30 seconds. Brought the crab cakes, wedge salad and grilled salmon back for my wife and they were all gone in about 10 minutes despite feeding a fussy baby at the same time. The butterscotch espresso martini is a decadent treat you can't skip. My only critiques are that as a whole, the prices are a bit steep, the space is small and probably not great for a large group, and the tomatoes in the Caprese were disappointingly bland. But if you're looking to spoil yourself and/or someone close to you, this is an excellent venue for it.

We were celebrating the birthday of a wheel-chair confined person, so we went at the opening time to avoid the rush. They were friendly and accommodating. The rest room was handicapped accessible. The food was great. I had a grilled red snapper fillet. It was delicious. The staff was friendly, as some servers were heading toward college shortly, they were shadowed by new trainees. We will be back.

My shrimp taco was soaked with water consistency sauce that pooled in my plate like soup. It was a little spicy which was good but the cold slaw with cabbage on my taco was gross. Don’t ever soup up a taco leave the plate dripping and nasty. It’s not polite to serve someone finger food that’s pooling in cold soup that’s suppose to be a regular two taco and shrimp appetizer.

I stopped in with an invite from my cousin for some traditional St. Patty's Day fair and I was so pleased!!! I never knew of this location however its definitely on my radar now. My time spent was truly welcoming & very much accommodating. I was asked if I was good eve during the rush of things. The owners came and spoke to us and I was even given a Hug and a ☘ Shamrock Cookie on Exit!!! Hugs make the world go around in my book!!! The food was phenomenal & I will be back for some happy hour action soon!!! Thank You for a much needed great time!!

My only disappointment relates to the menu not being clear enough for gluten free dining. They don't show that certain salads are gluten free that should be. Also, the print is so small about gluten free options that we almost walked out, thinking we couldn't eat there.

An amazing atmosphere and the most amazing staff! The New Orleans Pasta was incredibly flavorful and some of the best I’ve ever had, and not too spicy. Lovely place!

Originally from the area, visiting my brother in Flossmoor for the weekend. We walked to The Bistro from his home. The original plan was just stopping by for a glass of wine at the bar. The wine list is fabulous! They have a Sancerre very reasonalby priced. We ordered the bottle, chilled to perfection. Our waiter/bar manager Alan was super attentive! As we watched the food rolling out from the kitchen we decided to order some appetizers. We ordered the Caprese Salad, Meatballs and Artichoke Dip. All were very flavorful. We had a wonderful time and I will make this a stop everytime I am in town for a visit!

We thought they offered a very interesting menu, cocktails and food were well done and quite enjoyable. The restaurant was extremely noisy inside and out waitress could have been more attentive. Would definitely go back for the food though.

Cool, hip little neighborhood bistro. I was there for a private party and both the food and the service was very good. I'll definitely go back when I'm in the area.
