We booked for a Friday for karaoke at 8 until 10pm and it was fantastic start to finish! Our host Ginger was so full of energy and was so lovely and welcoming and even provided entertainment by performing with us and cheering us on! We absolutely LOVED ginger and cannot wait to come back again to have an absolute blast with great drinks and karaoke!

Been here twice for karaoke, and it's great! The staff are lovely, especially the Carribbean bar tender, makes amazzzzing cocktails. They also have free foosball and some arcade games. Very trendy, young place. I think there's atleast 4 karaoke rooms, great song selection. Thanks guys x

Great private Karaoke rooms that are good for 10 people but can hold up to 15. Professional staff that brought us to our room and showed us the karaoke system. Nice cheap happy hour drinks before 8pm on the night we went and after our session the Saturday night crowd was nice and friendly. All round this fun venue is to be recommended.

I've been coming here for karaoke for about ten years with different groups and it's always a great night. I love the decor, the jugs of cocktails are delicious, and it's fun how the karaoke booths feel like a secret room in the basement. Staff are lovely too.

The karaoke itself was good and we enjoyed it a lot but the bar itself wasn't that great. The music was a bit too loud it felt like it was trying to be a club rather than a bar with games in and people trying to talk and the staff clearly didn't want to be there, they were rude and would laugh at simple requests like when I asked for some tap water. The food was good but really expensive for what it was, half of it was sold out so really limited selection and it was ordered in from another venue. To order you had to scan a QR code and add a table number but the QR code on our table was ripped off and we had no table number and the staff ended up giving the food to the wrong people. You order drinks to the karaoke room on a screen and then the staff just enter the room and leave the door wide open whilst they just stand there with your drinks making it really awkward for whoever was singing as it felt like you'd have to stop to deal with the drinks. They came in to tell us it was our last song and just stood at the door holding it open which made us not want to finish the song as it now meant everyone outside could now hear us which we didn't want and was why we wanted a private room to start with. At one point we ordered shots of vodka through the screen and the bartender came bursting in the room going "what is this supposed to mean? how am I supposed to know what you want from this?" when we were specifically told we needed to order through the screen. Although the karaoke was good especially for just a minimum spend and no cost for the actual room, it was kinda ruined by the way the staff acted all night. Next time I think I'd rather pay for a room elsewhere.

Great place to go, brilliant atmosphere, decent prices, happy hour between 5:30-8 and drinks are £4.50. I'd definitely go again

We booked a karaoke room for a work social. The bar is pretty run down and budget, which doesn't necessarily matter unless you're fussy. It was 150 quid minimum spend and with about 12 of us we hit that easily so it was great value, especially compared to other karaoke places. The song selection and karaoke setup isn't as good as other places but I guess that's reflected in the price. There are 2 karaoke rooms next to each other and they aren't soundproofed, but we were both as loud as each other so again it was fine. Staff were helpful and service was good, drinks were fair as well so overall would definitely recommend for a laid back and super fun night.

Visited this place 5 years ago with a groupon karaoke voucher. 5 years later I'm back again with a groupon karaoke voucher 😅. I feel like it was better than my previous visit. Also, great selection of songs, room is a good size (there were 8 of us altogether, with plenty of room). Two jugs of cocktail included, didn't expect much from that, but they dudnt just taste like juice, I could actually taste Rum so that was good. For 14 quid it was a bargain and I'd definetely recommend.

If you're looking for a bar that is fun, amazing, lovely atmosphere and this is the place for you. I've been coming to the old school yard for at least 10 years and I don't intend to stop. If you live in and around south London. The old school yard is the place to be, especially if you love a good rum punch 🤗

Lovely staff, fun bar, no draft beer but nice cocktails. Decent night out. If you enjoy karaoke this is probably extremely fun but it's kinda covers not the original versions which can be confusing.

The selection of karaoke songs was great! Happy hour was amazing, a decent selection of drinks to choose from. Had a great night. Would certainly recommend

There's a charm to this place, it's like a bar from the 60s that's operating like it's the 90s. Prices are good and the cocktails taste just as strong as any other place. The atmosphere is usually busy, though the garden in the back can be chill. I will say music is usually quite loud, but the real place this bar shines in is it's kareoke downstairs. It's simple and that's what I like about Old Schoolyard. Many a great night has been had here with friends.

karaoke with my family. The rooms are down in the basement. Very basic , set up isn't too bad. You can order drinks from a screen . Ok song list. My only gripe is the state of the toilets. Yuck

Great little bar off the beaten track. Plays some great music( a little too loud at times) and has some very friendly bar staff. You can play games or chill, or do kareoke. whatever takes your fancy I'm sure you will have a blast here. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I didn't have any food.

Strange music played in this bar, seemed only to suit the taste of the person blasting it out… LOUDLY. (?) the whole image this bar rests on seems also to be a pastiche of what presents as in all publicity. You will find the arcade games and an ld games console and a solitary table football fixed to one side (which makes impossible to actually play). The best thing about this bar was the two cocktails offer but even that seemed different to what was in the publicity, some of the drinks seemed to be removed from the happy hour offer different times by different bar staff when ordering which leaves you as the customer feeling awkward… so much for enjoying a night out. Don’t expect ordering food to be either easy or affordable either… at near £40 for two regular burgers and fries (be real it’s just a minced beef sandwich and fried slivers of potatoes not tp grade wagyu Kobe beef and beluga caviar) and then it’s not prepared in the establishment either… you have to wait for it to be delivered from another site, and all this by downloading an app to order in the first place? Too much work after finishing work if you ask me! All said though and to be fair, the food was good… for the prices though, I’d expect it to be served with plates and cutlery etc. price to quality and such? Not matching I’m afraid. The bar is beg and spacious though a bit dark, lots of places to sit and mix. Most importantly, the staff were friendly and helpful. Would I go again? I guess I would yes, but with knowledge of what to expect. Not bad!

I found the venue itself was OK didn't have as many songs on the karaoke as I'd of liked. It does the job and the amount of fun you have is like most things is about the people your with instead of the actually place.

We had my friends daughters hen party where we had our own room for a couple of hours of karaoke, we had a fabulous time and we even had our drinks brought down to us and food we ordered, will definitely be back for more of a great evening

My favourite place for a fun night that does not drag on too late. The music is great, especially when they play old school dance, pop and dancehall. The best part, though, is the arcade games... A jump back to my childhood!

It was sooo good! Great song choice, old and brand-new. We had our own cubicle (around 10 of us, enough space, decent sized room). Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails before hand fairly cheap prices. Friendly bar staff. had the best time ever!!!❤️

Approx £200-£250 for 20people room. 🍸The Karaoke room is big and there are neon lights and two microphones 🎤 You can fit more than 20people if some of them sits down and some stands up. None of my guests actually sat down that day.

A slightly more rawer and grittier place compare to other modern stylised bars nearby. However, I been here many times before and have always enjoyed my nights here. There's never any trouble and usually attracts a young friendly crowd. Decor is very much 80s retro with arcade cabinets and foosball around. The karaoke downstairs is an additional bonus. There's a menu for Smoke Stak on the tables. The food is a little dryer compare to the other bbq place nearby but still good. Bonus points for the DJ playing early 00s garage music. It was lost on the youth, but I appreciate it. Good to see the DJ enjoying himself as well, his energy was contagious!

Attended with work colleagues for karaoke,if you haven’t been, you need to go! I didn’t eat so I can’t comment. Would definitely go back! Having too much fun to take photos lol. YOU MUST VISIT

I attend a regular event here and it's just a really nice place to visit. The staff are friendly, have an extensive cocktail menu and they've started to do food too.

Nice bar but cocktails are horrible. It's a question of taste, I didn't like them but you might? Good price if you do like them though.

Last Saturday evening, I decided to spend some quality time with friends at The Old School Yard near London Bridge, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! Right from the start, the staff and security bouncers were incredibly accommodating and understanding regarding a health condition I disclosed, making sure we felt welcome and assisted throughout our visit. The pub itself boasts a unique charm with its 80s/90s themed decorations, creating a nostalgic and vibrant atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. Coupled with a great selection of music, it made for a truly memorable night. My only slight disappointment was the absence of draught beer, a personal preference that would have made the experience even better. Nevertheless, the positives far outweigh this minor point. I'm giving The Old School Yard 4 stars, though it's really on the brink of 5 for their exceptional service and ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun night out in London with a touch of retro flair!
