🍜 Food & Taste: Ordered a few items and they are mainly deep fried dim sums with prawn fillings. Pretty satisfying because the portion of prawn fillings are big. Everything was satisfactory. 📍 Place: The place was quite easy to locate and the shop space seems big. 🤵🏻 Service: Good. They did not allocate a small table for us but one that is comfortable and spacious. One staff who spoke Chinese was very accommodating. We couldn’t finish everything and requested to have the remaining packed for takeaway and she gladly packed the items for us with sauce too. 💰 Price: Still acceptable. Comparable to THW pricing. Cash only though. 🐣Waiting Time: Reasonable. Was not very long since time is still needed for food to be prepared. No queue to go in too.

I didn't know this place is so famous. I have tried so many dim sum restaurants but this is the first time am trying this place. Quite shocked to see the queue waiting outside when I arrived at about 1pm. Had to quickly take a number from the staff and wait till the number is called. In the meantime, the menu and order sheet is given so one can decide on what to order and pass the sheet to the staff when seated. The menu on a piece of paper is in Chinese with small English words. It's kinda hard to visualize for people who cannot understand Chinese, they do have a more comprehensive menu where they (I think) almost have pictures of every dish on the menu to help decide on what to eat. Feeling hungry, we did order quite a lot of things to eat for 2 persons and we kinda regretted it because we can't finish everything and had to do takeaway. The Fried glutinous rice pork dumplings was good, one of the best I have tasted, and this is one dish which is not very common in dim sum places. Baked BBQ Pork Buns was not bad, I liked the onion inside, but was expecting the buns to be similar to another famous Michelin dim sum place with a crusty texture but this one just looked like left in the microwave and coated with some oil or butter. The fried egg puff with honey was unique, I don't think you can find it elsewhere. Can be a little messy when eating when you have the honey dripping everywhere. Prawn dumplings, pork dumplings with shrimps and the pork congee with preserved egg was decent. The shrimps tasted very fresh. The bean curd skin wrap with chicken and fish maw is very unique. I loved it and it was very big and delicious, difficult to put the whole thing in the mouth in one bite. I also liked the fried dough in rice roll. Despite putting it for very long the fried dough remained crispy. And as usual, unless you are very early most probably the mango desserts will be sold out by noon time. Worth a try, and they also have opened another branch so its good to disperse the crowd.

Reached the restaurant at around 3.30pm, got a seat in about 10min. The waiter at the restaurant entrance is very helpful and polite. The food came as soon as we sat down on the table. The dim sum was tasty and I had a really good dim sum dining experience. However, please be advised that the shop imposed a 10% service charge on weekends and public holidays.

Very good dimsum regardless of price. The pork is great, it doesnt have the unique raw pork smell and the seasoningbis perfect. You can also feel the quality of chicken is thigh or leg parts which is quite chewy. SO, whatever the dimsum which is either pork or chicken based it is tasty. There is skinny male gentleman who seems like tha manager who is super kind. I went at 8:30 and it was full, but the turn over is fast. Also no Shalongbao.

It has been a special experience! Be ready to the really delicious food, fast service and cozy atmosphere. There are some rules here: Order in advance while waiting to be seated. As drinks you get only unlimited hot tea. (You may also ask for water.) Pay by cash only! (ATM is a few minutes away)

I went searching for a reasonably priced Michelin star restaurant when I visited Hong Kong and visited this place. Oh my, 3years later it's still the best dimsums I've had and crave for it fondly. I went there alone and the food itself was more than enough company. Thinnest wonton wrappers, perfectly steamed and had 2 full dishes just by myself. Topping it with the mango sticky rice dish was simply superb! Will definitely visit the place next time I'm in Hongkong.

Truly enjoyed our Dim Sum brunch at One Dim Sum. Although there was a queue, it wasn't too long to get a table. The place was packed but service and speed of food ordered was quick. We had a wide variety of the Dim Sum and enjoyed every single one of them. Definately will return again.

Have to compliment the service by the staff, especially in Hong Kong. The staff is accommodating to tourists. The food such as the brown cake, chicken feet and carrot cake. Recommend to eat the custard bun as soon as it comes because the insides will come out fast. Nice place to have Dim Sum nonetheless.

Marvelous Dim Sum place to get your fix. Everyone was very friendly here as compared to the typical HK cafes which explains the good reviews and scoring here. You can expect good food here and very big portions at value for money pricing. Rest assured you will be so full after your meal here and it wouldn’t even cost a bomb. 5* experience, pricing, service and food quality. Worth a visit whenever you are in HK and need some quality dim sum.

Attracted by the reviews I came here with my gf to try their dim sum. We had to wait almost 1h because it was Saturday lunch time and the place was packed. Anyway once inside we ordered many different delicacies. I can say it’s one of the best dim aum places ever tried. Tasty and well prepared with fresh ingredients. To avoid a long wait I recommend to come in the early morning when there aren’t too many tourists

Really delicious dim sum. Cravings satisfied!! We were there few mins after restaurant opened so there isn’t any queue but we can see more and more people coming. The food was served warm and the service is also good and fast. Highly recommended.

Excellent dim sum, but also the friendliest staff I've ever met in Hong Kong. Often restaurant staff are rude or don't care, but at One Dim Sum, customer service, as well as the quality of food, is important. Thank you.

(Translated by Google) The food reviews are very poor, especially when it comes to the service attitude of the waiters. The quality of food and service attitude are not bad in Prince Edward, but there is always room for improvement. Fairness and comfort should not be too demanding. (Original) 食評講到很差,尤其是提到侍應的服務態度。食物質素及服務態度在太子區已算不差,但始終有改善空間,公道自在人心,不可太高要求了。

One of the best places for Dim Sum in Hong Kong. Definitely the best in the area. It’s popular and busy but they give you a queue number and (when it’s really busy) you re-order from the menu while you’re waiting. The prices are very good for the quality of the place. Each piece of dim sum is classically & clinically cooked. There’s no standard out or exceptional dishes but there’s also no dish below an 8.5/10. Highly recommended.

Famous dim sum restaurant. The queue is quite long. The food is delicious and worth the wait. Waiting in cold queue outside to eat dumplings, ha gao, steamed buns very delicious. The mango pudding was just the right amount of sweet. The price is good. Not too expensive

First time trying out this Tim Sum restaurant, and it is the best place during my last few days in Hong Kong. There are many options available, and the Tim Sum is very nice. The place is not very big and the queue could be long during peak time.

Heard so much and tried it and was blown away by how good it was. For foreigners having dim sum for the first time, be cautioned that portions are comparable with in the US, so order according to your stomach capacity. We ordered all of these for 2 adukts and 1 tween, and we were stuffed to the max. Two thumbs up, way up!

Came early to this place and luckily we didn’t have to wait for too long. It took us around 15 minutes until we were seated. Food are rather fast and the food was delicious to me. However the place is very tight and not suitable for family with children/baby.

Affordable and yummy, probably our favourite dimsum store in HK. Generous prawn fillings and thin skin for the hargow and really fresh siewmai. Ordered the baked char siew buns thinking it would be like Tim Ho Wan’s but was more like a bread bun - would recommend the normal steam charsiew bun instead. Also, the Liu Sha Bao here isn’t the flow-y type but more like a custard texture. Get a queue number when you’re there and wait patiently to be called - it’s worth it!

Probably my favourite Dim Sum restaurant in Hong Kong. Food is fresh and always excellent quality, and prices are extremely reasonable. Can satisfy two adults for well under $200HKD. The only beverage available is hot tea, but its a small trade off for such a great place to eat.

Food was served very quickly. Once you sat down the staff will ask if you want pu’er or jasmine tea. Of the items we ordered, har kow Siew Mai and Teochew dumplings were very good. However the dough fritters were not crispy, char Siew bun was too sweet and spring roll was normal. Halfway through our meal the aircon started leaking and the staff came over to wipe away the water quickly. Then, another guy came to wipe the aircon while we were still seated and eating beneath the aircon. Awful experience. However, they later on explained that they had to wipe quickly or more water will drop. Hence we deducted a star for that

The food was good. The service was fast. I went after dinner and was seated quickly. The hostess was friendly. The servers verified my order each time to avoid mistakes. The English menu has the order number for each item so that you can match it to the ordering slip. The place mat as well. And lots of pictures and descriptions. The shrimp wontons were good enough to order more. I didn't like the steamed char siu buns, they add preserved sausage to the mix. Otherwise, everything was great. Would go again if in the neighborhood.

Crowded with customers from 9:30am, you have to take a number and menu to get a seat. They were rather efficient in getting a large group of people seated. Typical dim sum menu, regular pricing. Food is alright. I particularly liked the sponge cake. Atmosphere has the rushed vibe of any other HK restaurant, expect to sit tight.

First time trying One Dim Sum, I find it quite overrated if compare with other local dim sum restaurants. There was a queue and mostly were tourists. Tell the staff how many pax and get a queue number. The queue was moving quite fast, we waited for about 20minutes. Among the dim sum I ordered, I would say the Fried Radish Cake was the most delicious. It’s soft and didn’t add too much of flour in it as still able to see the shredded radish. The dried shrimp and Chinese sausage in the radish cake make it so flavourful. The rest of the dim sum were taste average, and the dim sum that didn’t impressed me were chicken feet and char siew pao (steamed pork bun). The ambience was cozy and it was air-conditioned. The staff were friendly and patient. The price were reasonable and affordable as well.

Even as a relatively low-key dim sum restaurant, 𝑶𝒏𝒆 𝑫𝒊𝒎 𝑺𝒖𝒎 had once garnered a Michelin star for its reasonably priced dim sum. We decided to pay a visit to its physical store after having some yummy takeaway from the restaurant last time. We ordered 8 kinds of dim sum in total and the serving speed was fast. Although the beef balls were mainly flour, their sizes were like 1.5 times bigger than the ones we usually have. The skin of Har Gow was a bit thick and the shrimp inside was tasteless and mushy. Food wasnt as yummy as we had last time. Nothing stood out to be super tasty. 😔

  • 4/5 Sean L. 3 years ago on Google
During our visit, it just moved to the new place next to the original place a week earlier. We are lucky enough to be able to seat in without waiting in line. Be sure to visit around opening hours, 10am for weekdays and 9am for weekend, if you have further plan afterwards. All dim sum taste delicious and hot from the stove, and the price is inexpensive and quite affordable comparing to other dim sum restaurants in Hong Kong. There is one thing need to mention is that there is one rubber band tied around the boiled Chinese vegetable dish we ordered. The staff replaced it with another one immediately. We do believe that this can be prevented during preparation to keep up the good quality and reputation of this restaurant. Overall, it's still a good one for dim sum lovers.

Giant Prawn dumpling 蝦餃,Pork dumpling 燒賣, very crispy deep fried glutinous rice pork dumplings, turnip cake and steamed shrimp rice roll to come, very content for two of us and luckily don’t have to queue for Saturday morning. Good solid dim sum place. Nice range of options at a reasonable price. The chilli oil is slightly spicier than other restaurants which is a plus for me. Tea comes in a mug which is frequently refilled.

(Translated by Google) Today, I tried 5 dim sums that I often eat. The beef balls are loose enough to have a beef flavor, and the shrimp dumplings are thin enough to be thin enough to be buried. The spring rolls don't taste good, and the soft chicken is enough. Only the barbecued pork intestines are not so thin and smooth. Compared to five tablets ⭐, the store’s epidemic prevention measures are adequate. The seats are not spaced apart. The store staff will regularly remove the transparent glue for disinfection. It is really safe to eat. d.
