充滿香精味的下午茶
由於不能出國旅行,現在的港人都願意花錢到高級酒店享受,包括我在內。上次已經在Karry
Hotel嘗試過住宿和午市自助餐體驗,現在就來品嚐聞名不如享受的東方文華下午茶。網上一直有不少中外旅客或本地人都吹捧此酒店的下午茶,因為其招牌鬆餅和玫瑰花果醬。而我和妹妹都願意為振興香港經濟出一分力(其實都是為了吃>.<)。
首先作為一間五星級酒店,環境、地理位置和服務都是一流的,酒店室內裝潢帶有濃厚東方奢華雅致的風格,所以只是坐在大堂都很舒服。提供下午茶的餐廳只是兩個:Chlipper
Lounge
&
Cafe
Causettle。而我們則選擇在Chlipper
Lounge,因為可以早一點開始,由2時半開始至六時。其實兩間餐廳都沒有任何窗景,重點都是放在食物身上。
今次的下午茶都會有的例牌甜品:1963
文華芝士餅、傳統鬆餅、提子鬆餅、玫瑰花果醬、牛油忌廉和各款三文治。而茶葉的選擇挺多,我就選擇了東方文華茶,之後感到非常後悔,因為香精味實在太濃郁了,完全感到在喝香精水。妹妹則選擇了熱朱古力奶,味道較淡,但可以接受,我們猜測是因為朱古力再加上蛋糕,實在令人感到膩,所以酒店故意弄淡朱古力奶。
服務員首先呈上三層的蛋糕架,第一層是1963
文華芝士餅和延命草芒果熱情果馬卡龍。第二層是紅豆麻糬、抹茶紅桑子馬德蓮蛋糕和柚子白朱古力忌廉蛋糕。第三層則是咸點,主打各款三文治:雞蛋沙律、蟹肉柚子飛魚籽餅乾、煙三文魚忌廉芝士裸麥麵包和烤牛肉照燒汁椰菜沙律。坦白說,整三層的甜點只有芝士餅、忌廉蛋糕和雞蛋沙律三文治是稱得美味,至於其他只是不過不失,中規中矩,但煙三文魚忌廉芝士裸麥麵包是難吃,因為麵包非常緊實,口感像吃布朗尼蛋糕,而三文魚的味道似有還無,不看餐牌真是不知道自己在吃甚麼。
另外是一盤擺盤日式精緻的焦糖布甸伴黑芝麻朱古力鳥結糖,焦糖布甸的甜度剛剛好,而鳥結糖雖有濃厚的芝麻味,但甜度跟馬卡龍一樣「爆燈」,難以忍受!
吃完以上三層的食物,我和妹妹其實已經飽了,完全沒有胃口應付接下來的鬆餅,唯有硬著肚皮吃下去。所以我覺得上菜先後次序是否應該轉換,吃完一些較有飽滯感的鬆餅,再吃甜點呢?!
玫瑰花果醬一呈上來時顏色有點怪,而且有微泡,跟我之前上網看的深紅色不同,難以形容!不過果醬的確充滿非常濃郁的玫瑰花香味,感覺每一口像吃玫瑰花香精。鬆餅微熱,口感比KFC的牛油鬆餅更緊實,牛油味淡。可能因為已經吃飽了,所以不感特別好吃!
總結,無論哪個級數酒店的下午茶,似乎都是外表勝過內涵。
