Didn’t disappoint. Siew mai and Har Gao are good and that’s the baseline if you can tell if a dimsum place is good. The fillings (shrimp/pork) are well seasoned and their siew mai shrimp:meat ratio is well balanced. Pleasantly impressed by their pork rib. Very flavourful and one of the best I’ve eaten (better than one dimsum). Their BBQ pork bun is amazing too if you like a sweet and savoury pork bun but if you don’t like too sweet you may prefer the steam version. To enter, you will need to take a queue number outside. We came on a weekend 1pm and the waiting time was 15-20 mins for 3 pax.

Main outlet of the dimsum chain in Hong Kong. Expect the queue to be long towards lunchtime. The best dishes are minced pork buns and century egg porridge which was filled with ingredients. The other dimsum dishes were above average. Worth a visit to taste traditional dimsum in Hong Kong

This place gets insanely busy for a reason. Easily some of the best dim sum I have ever had. It was worth the long wait for those amazing pork buns alone.

Highly recommend the siumai, pork lung soup with almond juice and cabbage, spring rolls filled with egg white and shrimp, and the rice noodle roll with pig's liver! Can skip the steamed egg cake, hajao, and wonton in chili sauce.

Dim sum dishes were all of a high standard. I've heard of this yum cha restaurant for so many years but never had the urge to try it. It's not highly rated in my home town because of the prices. Here the value vs money scale is tipped. It's so popular you'd have to be patient when waiting for your ticket number. Be aware that you wouldn't be given a table unless your whole party has arrived and you can only skip 5 numbers. I would definitely come here again. Highly recommended.

Tasty baked buns, regular dumplings Overall, if you’re nearby it’s a rather good place to have a meal, but it doesn’t worth to go here on purpose. We chose best-sellers: baked bun with BBQ pork, steamed shrimp and shrimp&pork dumplings. Everything was tasty, but buns were really interesting, dumplings are not striking. Michelin guide recommends to try steamed beef balls with bean curd, this time we haven’t tried it. Low prices. There is variety of teas and soft drinks. Easy to find something for you - there are English names of every dish and pictures as well. Many places to seat. Here you can also to order take away.

Since 2015 I've been to Tim Ho Wan about every year and what I've found Is that the quality hasn't exactly decreased, but more so that other dim sum restaurants have caught up. I would say that Tim Ho Wan makes good standard dim sum items that are flavorful, but there isn't anything special about them that separates themselves from other restaurants. I guess making profit has now been the prime objective. Michelin seems to agree so. Overall, good but not worth going out of your way for.

The food here is absolutely delicious!! And we had a feast of 10 dishes amongst the 3 of us came to just over 200 HKD! Worth the wait and save time by looking at the menu and filling out the order form! Take cash with you as they do not accept card and the line system is horrible as no one bothers to line up or push in, so take a number right away when you get there! The service is super quick however they do not rush you so don’t be offended then they deliver the bill to you as you eat. Slightly out of the main roads but it works in their favour with lines (clusters) of people! Wish I could have tried everything here and as mentioned, their bbq pork buns just melts in your mouth! Would definitely visit this place again when I come to Hong Kong again!

Yo don't expect to eat peacefully here as it is hustling with crowd. You will share tables with strangers. As a first timer, I didnt know that you need to order your drink first so they can serve the teapot that you will use to wash the utensils you are going to use (bowl, chopstick, spoon, glass) and don't forget to pour all the water back to the glass bowl provided! Tourist tip 🤣 Okay what you gotta order is the bbq pork bun, outta this world, super good, perfect size, enough filling and crispy, buttery melt in your mouth. Their cheong fun also really tasty packed with pork. As well as their siu mai, plump shrimp in each and every one of it. Turnip cake just okay, nothing special. I would def come back for their bbq pork buns! Surprisingly, they didnt have extensive menu that you would expect from a dimsum place, but def shows their quality.

Very tasty dumplings, especially Shrimp and Shrim-pork. Quite busy during lunch hours. But still service is fast.

This place is just a "standard". Not bad, but not memorable either. The cake was surprisingly good. Service is good: efficient and quick. You can pay using a credit card and a wide variety of electronic systems. It gets crowded, especially if your party is large.

Delicious and every rave review written about the dim sum is completely correct. Absolutely worth a visit. Every dim sum dish is light and balanced in flavour.

Authentic dim sum please with good quality. very reasonably priced dim sum with good CP value. All dim sum are freshly made and served really fresh. It is a very local restaurant and seating and service are very down to earth.

The pork buns that they are known for were absolutely amazing! The rest of the food was just like what you get at other good dim sum restaurants. However, to have a Michelin star experience at this price level is so worth it! The one thing I didn't like was a dish with pork liver in it, can't remember what it's called though.

Quality price local dim sum restaurant. Must try BBQ Pork buns and pork liver rice rolls. Freshly made, tasty, flavorful and mouthwatering. Highly recommended. We went on a weekday lunch. The queue was acceptable. Service was OK. A restaurant not to be missed.

One of the best dim sum restaurant in the world. Still the old fashioned way and at very affordable price. Menu is quite limited to the most popular dishes but all are mouth wateringly delicious.

So I ordered while still in quarantine and am now so looking forward to getting out and eating dim sum fresh from the steamer. This is the bar that I’ll be using to compare other restaurants. Even though this was delivered to my hotel, everything tasted fresh and hot. The roast pork buns are amazing... definitely order these if you’re here. I really can’t complain about the small sample I ordered. Everything was good and the price so reasonable. Very happy. I’m saving the 5th star for eating at the restaurant 😁and trying more dishes. Have since eaten on site a few times and it deserves the hype.

Great dim sum and easy to understand why they deserve the 1 star. And best of all, great prices too. The rice rolls are really good. (The option of liver filling is special and hard to find elsewhere.) This location is one of earliest (or earlier) branches and remains authentic. Rice porridge well done. Steamed items are good. Really cannot go wrong. If you want an authentic experience, skip the fancy modern other branches and come here.

We came here based on good reviews and this lovely restaurant did not disappoint! Very local ambience, very friendly and diligent staff and the food was fantastic. In our 25 years in HK this is without a doubt one of the best we've been to. Every single dish was tasty and ingredients very fresh. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for an authentic good quality dim sum place. Average price per dish $26.

Nothing but the fame, a place for tourist who don’t know much about dim sum restaurant. I’m more into traditional “yum cha” restaurants. Wait 20mins for my take away, dim sum varieties are not much but basic items only, taste is ok. Wasn’t happy that they didn’t allow to use my own container ended up lots of plastic boxes bringing home😖Here’s like a fast food restaurant, I highly recommended to go to 中央飯店 nearby for better experience especially the atmosphere, some old& traditional dishes are still serving, tasty& way more cheaper.
