Even though it's an expensive and fancy place the service here was extremely poor. Make sure you book! Even though we booked we still ended up having to wait for 20 mins! It wasn't just waiting that was a problem, it was the fact that they didn't tell us what's going on - they just palmed us off to stand near the bar and walked off. Food was good though. The peaking duck was wonderful! Make sure you book the duck a few days in advance.

Mott 32 was a Chinese restaurant offering Beijing cuisine. It was located underground and accessible via a long escalator and a spiral staircase. The decoration was traditional Chinese style and the lighting was quite dark. The space between tables was wide enough. The menu was thick and the font size was relatively small which was not so comfortable for aged patrons to read under this dim lighting. Staff were diligent in serving tables such as adding hot water into tea pot, collecting plates, giving more side dishes for the Beijing duck, etc. Time was allowed for taking photos of the roasted duck before cutting and staff was helpful in taking pictures for the guests. Mixing the sauce was a show on the table. The quality of the food was unquestionably good. Birthday greetings and singing song by waiters during presentation of the cake with candles were all around the restaurant. A great place for celebration.

Peking Duck and cha siu were superb! The duck was so juicy and the skin was hot and cripsy. Love this place! The staff is nice too.

The restaurant is so cool! It is modern and elegant, with nice and quiet atmosphere. We ordered the sliced beef, which is thin as paper, so crispy and airy, very delicious! The vegetable pot is very very good, the sauce is very rich and the veggies are so fresh! The Peking duck is the best that I ever had! The roast duck is so crispy and it got a nice apple wood aroma! The meat is tender too! And the warp is so soft and thin, together with the duck meat and veggies and Peking sauce, I feel like a taste of duck heaven! U should not miss the roast duck fried rice, it is very very tasty! Every spoon is an essence of roast duck and it is oily at all, very rich flavor, love it! I enjoy the dinner here a lot! Highly recommended!

You can’t go wrong, Mott 32 is really good. Don’t forget to pre book your Peking duck. We decided to go back to Mott32, last time was many years back. Firstly. nice looking restaurant, nice atmosphere and very efficient and customer service staff. You do have to pre book your Peking duck, it’s delicious. We had it kind of 3 ways : firstly some skin that you are advised to eat with sugar then some duck are cut in pieces and served with hoisin sauce, pancakes, cucumber and spring onions. Lastly we asked to have it shedded it served in salad leaves. The Peking duck was delicious and a must have experience at Mott 32. We had also some dim sums : - pork traditional soup dumplings - Har gow - Szechuan minced pork with chili oil - black cod dumpling with miso - crispy sugar coated bbq iberico porc bun - sui mai All the dim sum were delicious. If I had to pick my fav it would the bbq bun and the pork dumpling with chili and for the one I would not order again it would be the back cod. We had a lovely lunch and considering the amount of food we had for 3 people, for Hong Kong, the price is not cheap but feels fair (especially when we paid 1000 HKD less for Francis at 2 the day before, the experience just can’t be compared in terms of of pleasure and experience…). Go to Mott 32 you won’t regret it.

This is my first time to Mott32. Celebrating a special day. Food and services keep to standard for all the times. The bbq pork was extremely tasty and remember to book in advance. They change the menu from time to time. Their dessert menu is also a must try. There are always new dessert to try with, see photos

Mott 32 did not disappoint at all. Service was great from the beginning and the atmosphere had a luxury yet exotic feel. Food was top notch, especially the peking duck which was carved at the tableside. Recommend booking in advance. If you had to get one dish from here, the Peking Duck is king. Everything from the skin to the meat was very flavourful with excellent presentation (even with the sauces to prep the duck rolls). Easily the best fine dining Chinese restaurant in Bangkok. Every dish was superb. The private rooms are beautiful and perfect for a special dinner. Don't miss the duck or the pork belly. They are signature dishes for a reason. Don't forget the cocktails... they were excellent!

Great food Great service If you hungry, you need you wait for the food at least 15mins+ For Peking Duck and BBQ pork you need to pre-order otherwise you need to wait at least 1 hour The restaurant is a bit dark not like other kind of Chinese restaurant, more of drinking place. Overall very lovly staff

Food and service are great! The peking duck just melts in your mouth. Says a lot, yeah, pretty sinful. A* to the staff. Service is fantastic. They are helpful, polite, and proactive. If I ever visit Hong Kong again, I will certainly visit Mott 32 again.

Do note that the Peking duck needs advance booking and if you would like to have it as soon as you arrive, remember to give them a call few hours before arriving. The Peking duck skin was sinfully delicious. The Peking duck was executed well, though a small portion of the lean meat was a little tough. We were also surprised by how well the other dishes were executed. Highly recommend the smoked black cod and the dimsum selection.

Food was fresh and lovely. Admittedly the cost is higher than the usual but worth it in my opinion! The staff were very polite and friendly - we felt very welcomed. We didn't get to try the duck but had the Iberico BBQ roast pork which was lovely and melt in the mouth. I believe they use the same pork for the BBQ pork buns in the dim sum menu. We enjoyed the buns so much, we ordered another portion to takeaway!! We had the BBQ pork, cold chicken with black bean, chicken and blackbean clay pot, mushroom and water chestnut dumplings, siu mai, bbq pork buns, birds nest soup, asparagus with celery and lotus, and lobster rice. Couldn't fault a single dish! Was about £350 for 3ppl incl chinese tea, mango paradise motttail (non alc) and Nashi cocktail (alc). Definitely will be visiting again to have the full dim sum experience next time!

Mott 32 is a worthy addition to the city’s dining scene. cosy, inviting botanical theme. We’ve swooned at their signature apple-wood roasted Peking duck is evenly-distributed fat made each bite soft. I love another signature dish, the bbq Iberico pork is so soft and nearly melt-in-mouth.🤤 The smoked black cod is definitely here impress- a ta-da entrance of swirling applewood smoke in a tangy and addictive sauce.🍎🔥 Their cocktail menu does not disappoint either, my recommendations being the reinvented Joe's Elixir, Hanami, and Forbidden Rose.🍸 Our meal ended with Bamboo Green Forest- a light and refreshing dessert; and the sesame chocolate tart, I was absolutely enamored by the filling with crunchy pine nuts and sesame. It was mildly sweet and silky. Exceptional services, great with visiting family, a business meeting, or date night.

The interior and ambiance of the restaurant are really nice and cosy. I thought it was actually not too noisy on a Saturday night. It it might depends on where you are seated / your neighbors. Food was really good. The dumplings were great and I highly recommend the pecking duck. Cocktails were excellent as well. Service was good and quite efficient. Prices are unsurprisingly high but worth it.

Finally gave this place a try after hearing about it from friends. Food was decent but not mind blowing. Pre ordered char siu and peking duck - char siu was excellent but the duck did not meet our high expectations. Good ambience, though service was questionable- they refused to close the door of our room because “it wasn’t full with 6 people,” which made no sense.

Had a great experience Mott 32 hong kong and not disappointed with their food and service. Food was excellent especially the peking duck we enjoyed its crispiness and taste. Everything we had was excellent but the fried tofu would have been better if they used a firm tofu. Overall ambience and service was also excellent.

I really enjoy the food at Mott32, whether in Hong Kong or Singapore. The quality remains consistently high in both locations. However, the decor in Hong Kong is more grand and beautiful. So, when my friends from Singapore entered the restaurant, they were already excited and happy from the ambiance. Looking forward to trying Mott32's food in other countries on my next visit 🫶🏻🩷

Love their cha shiu, the pork melts in your mouth with honey flavour. The atmosphere is good fusion, Chinese more but also has some western elements especially the flowers arrangement. It’s absolutely a good dimshum place in Central. The roast ducks are also crispy and well balanced flavour. Last but not least, there is a lotus seed pastry for desert with sesame on top, it’s my favourite one, too good and no time for photos🥹

Bit of a strange experience. Booked the staycation package at The Murray with 6 course dinner at Mott 32, which I'd say is not very good value compared to the other staycation packages. For the restaurant itself, there's a reception on the floor of the Standard Chartered building, the ladies there do nothing but tell you to scan with the leave home safe app and walk downstairs. We were seated next to what I assume is a storage room with people constantly going in and out, we asked to change tables but were told there were none available, yet there were free tables even by the time we left. Otherwise I feel their staff were trying their best but felt very much like a newly opened restaurant that hasn't settled yet. The food tasted good, particularly the char siu, but the staycation menu items were of little surprise, feels like standard dishes you get at a Chinese banquet. There were only 2 of us, so couldn't order a whole Peking duck, but it did look and smell nice from a small distance.

We had an amazing dinner in Mott 32. Shout out to Paul for his warm hospitality! We were craving for Peking duck so we book this restaurant for their signature dish (limited serving, pre-order is required). The applewood smoked Peking Duck was very crispy and tender, it melts in your mouth. The BBQ pluma iberico pork cha siu was another highlight - very tender and juicy. We ordered a few other dishes including the beetroot dumplings, king prawns, string beans with wagyu beef, and more - all are tasty. All in all, we had a very pleasant night, will definitely come back again.

Our chimps have fond memories of that first visit to @mott32hk when it opened in 2014. Since then, we have been huge fans of this unique culinary experience and were delighted when they opened closer to home in Singapore. It is always ducking fabulous to be back at where it all started. It’s the experience of riding the iconic escalator down to the duck dungeon, followed by that flight of stairs (aka the “Bruce Lee Enter the Dragon mirror scene moment”) that accentuates the mystique of the venue. The main dining hall itself is a tasteful and contemporary mix of culinary traditions and modern Hong Kong designer chic. Needless to say, the duck was heavenly. And because we were prepared for a duck feast, one whole duck was perfect for two. 😂😂😂 Oh, that 龍鬚糖雪糕 with pistachio is to die for!

Fantastic food with amazing service. The place is amazing (in the basement of a bank?). The bathroom was really cool with a sick looking sink and some cool old looking toilets. The food itself was pretty amazing. We really loved the signature smoked black cod and the grapefruit salad was amazing. We also got the king prawn clay pot and that was fantastic. Amazing service that was very attentive to every detail as well. Would certainly go back!

The peking duck here was amazing but it took an hour to come out. I feel this is very important to address first because I felt that many other customers waited along time as well. Besides that, I had a wonderful experience dining at this place. The duck was amazing, the skin just melts into your tongue and the bbq pork was so delicious we had to order a second one. Great place, great service and ambience!

Mott 32 is a NYC based American-Chinese restaurant that opened up in the basement (old vault) of the Standard Charter Bank building on Des Voeux Road in Central. They offer a unique dining environs and experience and serve up pretty good Chinese dishes. Opening hours are 12-2.30pm (lunch) and 6-10.30pm (dinner). Reservations are highly recommended if wanting to dine here on weekends or during holidays. Recently, Mott 32 has entered the delivery food segment due to the dining restrictions imposed on restaurants throughout the city during the Covid-19 pandemic. This service is known as Comfort Food by Mott 32, allowing patrons to order simple Cantonese and other Chinese favourites through deliveroo, which you can enjoy from within your area office, home or hotel. Unfortunately, there restaurant's full menu is not available through Comfort Food by Mott 32. We recently tried the Comfort Food by Mott 32, which was delivered in 39 minutes. On the evening, we tried their Sweet & Sour Pork Rib, Kung Pao Chicken with Chili and Stir Fried Sliced Beef with Onion and Black Pepper Sauce. All orders were good enough, not great but not bad either. Portion sizes were rather small and prices rather high, similar to what you find at the restaurant. In the end, we like dining at Mott 32 but feel the price point is too high for the Comfort by Mott 32 food delivery. Dishes are simple and good but it feels like you are still paying for the aesthetics and experience of dining at the restaurant, not something you get with food delivered to your home. Similarly, these are not sophisticated dishes unique to Mott 32, their comfort food for delivery menu consists of simple and comfort dishes you can find throughout the city at much lower prices (and larger portions). As such, I think Mott 32 needs to revisit the pricing of their new delivery service or at least increase the portion sizes of the orders sent out for delivery.

OMG! How could I have not been here before! This place serves amazing food and cocktail. We searched on google maps for the closest Peking Duck restaurant to Mandarin Oriental Hotel and this one came up. We did not have a reservation however were able to get a table. All the Peking ducks were booked so we were not able to taste one. From what we saw the duck looked pretty yummy! We asked if any ducks were available the next two days, unfortunately the ducks were all sold out! So recommend booking in advance. We ordered the BBQ pork and it was soft and delicious. Best one we have tasted to date. Other dishes were also delicious. Recommend!

Very crowded place. Nice deco, nice food with fine selection of Drinks. Great service. The BBQ Pluma Iberico Pork, Yellow Mountain Honey is a must!!! As it has daily limits on orders you should reserve when you are booking your seats! Pricey but every penny is rewarded from its Food and Service. At dinner do not order Dim Sums. There are special dishes you should try beside of those.

If you're in Hong Kong, there are a few restaurants that have chosen to elevate dim sum. Mott 32 is one of them and their char siu (barbecue pork) is to die for. Atmosphere is on the high end, great customer service, a robust vegetarian selection and I'll definite be going back for their duck. You need to reserve the duck a few days before to get it! ( We were not lucky this time around with eh duck because we booked too late)

The first time I came to Mott I wasn’t particularly blown away by the food but was impressed by the interior design and service. Three years later I made my second visit and had a fuller experience this time around. The food was creative, tasty and the presentation was impressive. Food: 4.25 stars Atmosphere: 4.75 stars Service: 4.5 stars Recommendations: iberico pork char siu, fried lobster with olive leaf, dim sum, garoupa soup, crispy pork belly The char siu and the Peking duck are what Mott is most known for. I can attest to the quality of the char siu. The quality and texture of the meat is definitely too notch and this is one of the better versions in the city. The dim sum here is also really good and I would definitely come here for dim sum. They have their own take on some of the classics which may not be the choice of the die hard traditionalists but for me I really enjoy the creativity. The fried lobster with olive leaf was also a real winner. First time I have had this type of preparation and really thought it was great.

Stars for food only, they worth more Very bad experience for take away service. I placed order before 2pm for picking at 6pm. When I arrived, they missed 1 course (I ordered 5 courses) when I checked the order. But the staff can tell what was missing immediately before I said . If you knew what was missing, why you only found out when I arrived?? Then I have to wait for 30mins for my take-away. I could see people come and go even they came later than me. The staff kept apologize and admit there was issue happened. And they need to prepare for others first. What?! I am really disappointed as I dont know why I placed order ahead but still... what can I say, BAD LUCK!!!!

The waiter even offered to help us to pick up the xiao long bao from the serving plate and put it onto our spoon so we wouldn’t break it. Also tried their chai siu but their service would be the reason for my second visit!

One of my favourite restaurants in Hk. They're known for peking duck but loved their claypot dishes even more. Must try galupa and shrimp. Vibe, food all excellent - wines on the expensive side.

Dining in a bank vault. A class above Peking Duck with a showcase of the roasting oven. Excellent dim sum and creative fusion dishes. My last visit was 2016

(Translated by Google) Regardless of the environment, food quality, and service are top-notch, the relative consumption is higher than that of ordinary restaurants, of course! (Original) 無論環境,食物素質,服務都是頂級的,相對消費是畧高於一般食店,理所當然!

Good foods but I don’t like the spooky decorations. The stairway and graffiti are a bit scary to me

Went here ages ago. I have always wanted to try Mott32 because of the famous roast pork but unexpectedly my first visit was the turkey. Inside the restaurant, it was like another world. Mott 32 is actually a Chinese restaurant which is why it is funky serving turkey as a special dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas so people can break the traditional and still have Turkey while having Asian food! The Free Range BBQ Roasted Turkey menu is available now priced at HKD1,680 to be booked in advanced. It is served in three ways which makes it special. The Whole BBQ Roasted Free Range Turkey, which will be carved at the tableside served with pancakes and three homemade sauces: a plum & lemon, fresh garlic and Chef Fung’s secret turkey sauce. The second style Turkey salad is a combination of papaya, dragon fruit, melon, scallion, red pepper, cashew nuts and a sweet peanut sauce to be mixed at the table. The last style is Minced Turkey served with Water Chestnut, Mushroom and Bamboo shoots to be eaten on a fresh, crisp lettuce cup.

3 stars for food only... catering management can be much better compared to others famous restaurants in Central area... it's the managerial mistake ruined the consumer experience. it's not fair to service staff who is being blamed by customers that is literally the mistakes of the managerial staff... things liked promotion, ordering... seems the managerial staff lose the way of managing to success, and the staff is not getting clear instructions.... btw, again, food is good.

Had a terrible experience at Mott 32. I brought my parents here, we are Cantonese and we can easily tell the quality of the food. We ordered the abalone soup, which is not freshly made, most likely reheat from frozen. The abalone is also the cheap kind, not the more prized dry abalone, and they have the audacity to charge 290, while we had the good abalone soup for only 220 in other restaurants. We were trying to order the cod, but the server recommended the “steamed fresh grouper” with market price 1080 hkd. I already didnt feel comfortable with their aggressive sales pitch but my parents were tempted so we went with it any way. Not only it took forever for the dish to come out, but the fish is obviously not freshly caught and not freshly processed. The service were also awkward, nobody even bothered to check in to see how we like the food. It’s the worst dining experience I’ve had, will never want to try Mott 32 again.
