Mott
32
is
a
NYC
based
American-Chinese
restaurant
that
opened
up
in
the
basement
(old
vault)
of
the
Standard
Charter
Bank
building
on
Des
Voeux
Road
in
Central.
They
offer
a
unique
dining
environs
and
experience
and
serve
up
pretty
good
Chinese
dishes.
Opening
hours
are
12-2.30pm
(lunch)
and
6-10.30pm
(dinner).
Reservations
are
highly
recommended
if
wanting
to
dine
here
on
weekends
or
during
holidays.
Recently,
Mott
32
has
entered
the
delivery
food
segment
due
to
the
dining
restrictions
imposed
on
restaurants
throughout
the
city
during
the
Covid-19
pandemic.
This
service
is
known
as
Comfort
Food
by
Mott
32,
allowing
patrons
to
order
simple
Cantonese
and
other
Chinese
favourites
through
deliveroo,
which
you
can
enjoy
from
within
your
area
office,
home
or
hotel.
Unfortunately,
there
restaurant's
full
menu
is
not
available
through
Comfort
Food
by
Mott
32.
We
recently
tried
the
Comfort
Food
by
Mott
32,
which
was
delivered
in
39
minutes.
On
the
evening,
we
tried
their
Sweet
&
Sour
Pork
Rib,
Kung
Pao
Chicken
with
Chili
and
Stir
Fried
Sliced
Beef
with
Onion
and
Black
Pepper
Sauce.
All
orders
were
good
enough,
not
great
but
not
bad
either.
Portion
sizes
were
rather
small
and
prices
rather
high,
similar
to
what
you
find
at
the
restaurant.
In
the
end,
we
like
dining
at
Mott
32
but
feel
the
price
point
is
too
high
for
the
Comfort
by
Mott
32
food
delivery.
Dishes
are
simple
and
good
but
it
feels
like
you
are
still
paying
for
the
aesthetics
and
experience
of
dining
at
the
restaurant,
not
something
you
get
with
food
delivered
to
your
home.
Similarly,
these
are
not
sophisticated
dishes
unique
to
Mott
32,
their
comfort
food
for
delivery
menu
consists
of
simple
and
comfort
dishes
you
can
find
throughout
the
city
at
much
lower
prices
(and
larger
portions).
As
such,
I
think
Mott
32
needs
to
revisit
the
pricing
of
their
new
delivery
service
or
at
least
increase
the
portion
sizes
of
the
orders
sent
out
for
delivery.
