Went there on a weekend afternoon and they only provided one brunch menu with free flow champagne. The price ranged from $788 with no alcohol and $988 to $1288 with different kinds of champagne. The menu included a huge variety of items from appetizer to dessert. Appetizer 🥢Seared Scallops Didn't expect it to be served cold as it wasn't stated in the menu but it was still pretty raw inside so the texture was good 🥢Blue Mussels This was a terrible dish to start with! Never had any mussels shrunken like these... Must have been cooked hours ago and put in the salamander to keep heating for hours 🥢Chilled Thinly-cut Pork in Chilli and Garlic Sauce The pork was thinly sliced, a bit tough but as a garlic lover I couldn't refuse the mashed garlic Unlimited - funnily enough this is the unlimited session but the quality is the best among other food 🥢Steamed Dim Sum The steamed Dim Sum are overall okay. Served very hot 🥢Tiger Balm Fungus Bao I did not finish it because the dough was too thick and filling. My friend described the appearance looked just like the plastic floor mat in the park 🥢Charcoal Crispy Pork Dumpling Another black dish. Tasted just like normal Ham Sui Kok 🥢Deep-fried Dim Sum Served hot and crispy. Btw they put the bamboo leaf upside down on the rice paper wrap dish lol 🥢Sichuan Chili Pepper Chicken As the name says it's indeed chicken in chili. The taste was alright. Kind of spicy. But the chicken was overcooked and soooo dry Main Course - here comes the most disappointing session 🍽️Wok-friend Cod in Sweet Chili and Oyster sauce I almost thought I was having a two-dish-rice. Served only slightly warm. The asparagus were even cold 🍽️Kung Po Chili Prawn Chili? Where's the chili? It's extra sweet and sour overcooked shrunken prawn 🍽️Grilled Lamb Rack with Fennel Seeds +$98 We had high expectations on this dish but none of us wanted to finish one rack .. It stated it was Mongolian style so I was hoping for some spices but turned out it was cooked in sweet charsiu sauce. I understand they wanna please more westerners but can't they describe the dish better on the menu? I definitely didn't want more sweet dish because the other two we picked were sweet and we wanted a balance. Also the lamb was totally overcooked, as tough as an unprocessed pork chop... This is honestly worse than buffet quality food 🍚Chicken and Egg Fried Rice with Yunnan Ham Another precooked dish straight from the salamander or rice cooker. Whatever. No wok hei and so little ingredients inside 🍰Dessert Platter Very pretty dessert platter as a finish. I didn't want any of the desserts because I was too full and had enough of sweet main courses Overall the portion of the menu was huge but not enjoyable. We did not order any of the unlimited dishes again. They also had some optional signature dishes that guests might order like peking duck and barbecued pork. The server was attentive, kept refilling champagne and water.

Go for a drink, beautiful view. Anything else is a hard no. Food was very bland. Service was not great, we weren't asked on our thoughts on food or anything throughout the whole dinner experience, except at the end when we were already at the elevators exiting. No explaination of food/ drinks etc. It is unfortunate, as the location of the restaurant has so much potential. Honestly feels like a tourist trap.

Hutong has upped its game! Came here some time ago - different location and I recalled the food being reasonably good and the service was not great, this time round it was top notch all round. The food was exquisite, and the decor is genuinely marvelous, be prepared to break the bank, but for a special occasion its well, well worth it.

We tried it both in bright time just right before sunset and in the evening to witness the harbour lights and I highly recommended both experiences. I think the best asset of this place is it’s exceptional spot and view. The ambience and seating are beautiful and classy with the best entrance. Prices are really high but it’s super worth it. The foods are great. We tried the tasting menu but I think that it might be too much so I think picking a specific specialty is enough and for that I highly recommend trying out the RED LANTERN (the serving presentation and taste is to die for) & the FLAMING DUCK (the chef presentation is a must experience). All in all, this place has been one of the best memories we’ve had in Hong Kong! Just make sure to call in for reservation days ahead and if unlucky, you can try your luck as walk-in as they leave 10% of the seating for walk ins.

The view is amazing, design is worth being instagrammed with lots of interesting details. The food is of high quality and if you want to taste local cuisine but wishing it to get properly explained this restaurant is the best place to do that. What should be amended is furniture for sure, the traces on the tables probably show the history of the restaurant but don’t add attractiveness to the place.

Amazing restaurant all around! While many restaurants with views as good as this one often lack in food quality, here you are sure to get both. If you are from London like me as well then I should advise you then this Hutong is far better than the one in London. The Peking duck was the primary reason I came here and everything from the presentation to the taste was excellent. All of the dishes were good and you are sure to have something that appeases you here.

We celebrated new years fireworks dinner here. Must say best view you could wish for. The dinner was exzellent besides the first starter and dessert- we did not like those two that much. Very tasty wagyu puffs, crispy duck and main course. We enjoyed our evening.

Good place, good view, yummy Chinese cuisine, unique taste! Strongly recommend! Book in advance as they got two rounds for the dinner: 6-8 & 8-10. Book as early as possible to get a window side table!

Booked this place for lunch for my nephew's 100-day celebration. We've originally booked a room with the harbor view but for some reason the staff made a mistake and told us it wasn't available upon arrival. It was sorted after a long 15 minutes wait plus discussion. Put aside the issue, we had their outstanding brunch set that came with appetizers, dim sum, hot dishes and desserts. I gotta say the set was awesome and completely exceeded my expectation in terms of variety and taste. There were 4 appetizers, 4 dim sum, 4 hot dishes and 4 desserts in the brunch set and the portion was generous. Each dish was very tasty and I just wish I had the stomach space to accommodate all the food. We've added extra for the signature dish (Peking duck) Although the price tag is hefty, how can one resist the paper thin crispy skin from a roasted duck along with spring onion, cucumber and sweet sauce wrapped in a thin pancake? The overall dining experience was pleasant despite the little drama with the reservation.

A very decent fine dining restaurant in traditional Chinese style. It is value for money having considered both the food quality and view. Recommend booking 6:00 pm so that you can enjoy the day time, sunset and night time view (and the laser show at 8:00 pm).

Non traditional Chinese restaurant with an excellent view of the Victoria harbour. The dishes contains cuisine from all over China, some a bit spicy. The Beijing lamb is very good. The grilled unagi is also must eat.

The view is stunning through and probably looks even better at night. Day time you can see the windows are quite dirty but a great view of HK Island The interior is very classy and it has a good ambience The food is very good however the service is quite slow. If you go for ‘free flow’ brunch this can be frustrating

Safe to say, it was a disappointing evening tonight at Hutong. Even safer to say that, each time I've tried to give this restaurant another chance, the extremely poor service drags it down. We sat down at 9pm, the first dish arrived at 9.30pm, and, after having to sternly tell (half-yell at) the waitstaff that it had been close to an hour the rest of the food finally arrived. To the credit of one of the senior staff, we were offered a free dessert but quite frankly had to leave and bypassed dessert but were given the cocktails for free. Thanks to the chef for some nice flavors, but no longer worth the view (via the dirty windows). Good luck, team.

My husband booked their early brunch for my birthday and we had a lovely time. Service was excellent, food was delicious and plentiful. The setting was peaceful and relaxed. The ambience was perfect for a cosy and romantic lunch. I also liked their diverse choice music playing in the background too. The menu was varied and as I don't eat pork we opted for a couple of veggie alternatives. All very tasty...and the sweet platter included some delicious mochi with a burst oozing chocolate inside...yummy, I ate my hubby's one too, as he is not that keen on chocolate. Will defo visit again. And thanks to the staff for bringing out a birthday candle with our sweet platter. They also gave me a paper scroll with a words for good luck and happiness printed on it for my Birthday! Thanks to everyone who served us!

Our first time coming to the restaurant. The view didn't disappoint. The food on the other hand was average. The Peking duck slices were too thick and quite dry. The cold served spicy chicken (口水雞) tasted of frozen chicken.

Hutong is a great place for celebration! It has a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour, highly recommended anyone visiting Hong Kong for a vacation to visit this restaurant! I loved the peking duck (ordered half duck) as well as the mandarin fish fillet and pickled cabbage, poached in spicy and sour broth(fish are boneless). The dessert which looks like a tangerine is fantastic as well! Tho if u fancy a nice portrait with your love ones, you could be disappointed. As the lighting there was pretty bad, like the yellow lighting and the wooden table make it all the worst, is like my skin turn yellow. (So maybe going at the afternoon or early evening like 6 ish in summer will be better) I included a photo I took at 6 pm as well, it is great to go there early so that you can enjoy both day view and night view of Victoria harbour!

Stunning restaurant overlooking Hong Kong harbour. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Chinese style rattan furniture and fine ornaments which really made it stand out from other quality Chinese restaurants. It is pretty huge with floor to ceiling windows offering superb panoramic view of the harbour. The few dishes we tried were very tasty and were all beautifully presented. The shredded chicken was slightly dry, perhaps overcooked. Price was commensurable with other highend restaurants, service was attentive. Highly recommended.

Hutong = sadly Style over substance. Let’s start by the bad points : - service not really good, had to go and order at the bar our drinks several times as it was not coming. Please note that was unlimited soft drinks type. - We got the Peking duck without the pancakes. Almost 500 hkd for Peking duck which was supposed to serve 3-4, let’s say it was a small portion for the price. - The dim sum were on an unlimited basis BUT we had to wait quite a while for refill which kind of kill the unlimited experience. - the mains were average and the beef was not great at all. We could not eat the beef short rib. Bland and oily meat. - the desserts : the chocolate was supposed to be lava chocolate cake. Well the strawberries on the top were frozen and the chocolate inside the pastry so hard. Why called it lava? The jelly dessert tasted weird. The lemon tart barely had any lemon curd. The mochi was quite tasty but we were told it was salted caramel but it tastes like milk chocolate. The good points : - when you step out of the lift, you will be amazed by the decoration. It is just beautiful. Do walk around, really stunning. - the dim sum are very nice, we really enjoyed it. Very nicely presented and good quality dim sum. Are they the best you will have in HK? No but they are still worth trying. Overall, Hutong is for sure worth a visit. Considering the quality of our mains and the desserts and assuming that will be the same quality for diner, I would stick to the brunch as you are guaranteed to have some nice dim sum!! Price to value? Expensive clearly as I enjoyed the dim sum and nothing else. Worth a visit? yes for sure.

A stunning restaurant with stunning views. We had dinner. The peking duck was delicious, the skin crispy. The fried rice with crab was fragrant. Love the french beans and the ma po tofu. However, the music was far too loud and too disco/pub like. Totally not inline with the wonderful Chinese Cuisine. We order braised pork ribs, it will be good to provide fork and knife. It was difficult to eat with the chopsticks. Service was excellent!

All the great restaurants in Hong Kong seem to be way up, like this one with spectacular views to Hong Kong Island. Great location near museums and K11 mall and Rosewood resort. Beyond that though - the ambience is spectacular, the service is extremely professional and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend.

This is a Chinese restaurant that is managed by Aqua Group. Apparently, it has the best view in TST, but I had a hard time finding the entrance to the building so I was lost for quite a bit. When you enter the restaurant, the interior is fancy and breathtaking, but after a while, it started to look a bit cheap to me. Overall, considering the location and price, I didn't think the actual dining experience was all that great. For example, the table setting and the service could have been much better. The food itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything over the top. And there's a 2 hour limit, so you can't really linger for a long meal. But the sunset view was beautiful, so it might be a good place to bring a date. To be honest though, for the price I paid, I'd rather enjoy a meal somewhere else.

Went here ages ago. I have always wanted to try Mott32 because of the famous roast pork but unexpectedly my first visit was the turkey. Inside the restaurant, it was like another world. Mott 32 is actually a Chinese restaurant which is why it is funky serving turkey as a special dish for Thanksgiving and Christmas so people can break the traditional and still have Turkey while having Asian food! The Free Range BBQ Roasted Turkey menu is available now priced at HKD1,680 to be booked in advanced. It is served in three ways which makes it special. The Whole BBQ Roasted Free Range Turkey, which will be carved at the tableside served with pancakes and three homemade sauces: a plum & lemon, fresh garlic and Chef Fung’s secret turkey sauce. The second style Turkey salad is a combination of papaya, dragon fruit, melon, scallion, red pepper, cashew nuts and a sweet peanut sauce to be mixed at the table. The last style is Minced Turkey served with Water Chestnut, Mushroom and Bamboo shoots to be eaten on a fresh, crisp lettuce cup.

The view at Hutong is one of the best in Hong Kong. On a clear day you get a unobstructed view of Central all the way to North Point. The interior design is also immaculate and really speaks to the Northern China theme of the restaurant. The food however, doesn’t have a strong point of view and is not representative of Northern Chinese food. I would much rather come here for some drinks for the view and not for the food. Food: 3.25 stars Environment: 4.5 stars Service: 3.5 stars Value: 3.5 stars Overall: 3.5 stars I came for the Feng Wei brunch which has provided a sampling of seventeen dishes from bite sized dim sum to tapas size entrees. The assortment of food provides a mixture of cuisines across China and unfortunately a lot of misses on the taste and execution of some of the regional dishes. The dim sum was quite average and can’t compete with what you can find in other similarly priced restaurants in HK. The mains were the best part of the meal. The kung Pao shrimp, beef tenderloin, and Sichuan cod dishes were all quite good. The desserts were the weakest part of the meal and was unfortunate that it ended in a poor note.

Came here for for the 13-course dinner. I have to say the atmosphere and the views were absolutely stunning. If you're bringing guests/ a date, it's hard to impress on first impressions. However, the seats were very uncomfortable. The chairs were a bit high, but what bothered me most was the wooden chair was too hard and rigid - I think this could be easily solved with some cushions. The 13 course was a generous portion, but the dishes itself was dishes you could get similarly done in many other Chinese restaurants. It was not elevated enough. I also thought there were way too many fried food dishes. When it came to the 8th and 9th dishes - fried prawns with salted egg yolk/ crispy soft shelled crab with Sichuan chilli - it was simply too much. Got a bit too heavy for us. I thought the hot dishes were too similar to be served together. Dessert was so-so. I would probably try/ recommend to try the a-la-carte. I would still come back and recommend the experience with stunning views.

Delicious in taste and beautiful in presentation, Hutong stands out as a high-end Chinese restaurant. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and easily conversed with us in English and Cantonese. Food came out quickly, and each dish was clearly named as it was placed on the table. For me, as a vegetarian, I really appreciated the way that the staff informed me kindly what foods I could eat which ones contained meat. They did it in a very courteous and professional way. Plus, restaurant has prime views over nearby Victoria Harbour and Tsim Sha Tsui area. Come to Hutong for the views, stay for the great service and spiraled cucumbers!

This is a boutique Chinese restaurant fir fine dinning. An exquisite experience with tasty food and nice harbour view. The signature drinks were very well served and eady to drink, basically super easy cocktail for anyone. The Kobe beef fried rice is my favourite. The Peking duck was ok. So if u wanna find a place for gathering and comfortable Chinese dinner, this can certainly be a pick if u don't mind the price. About hk$600 per head is a start point.

Love this place. Great views and atmosphere. Be careful if you are not used to chilli, as they use proper chilli!

A good place to visit in HK. Firstly, the views, stunning. The best actually. The restaurant itself is very atmospheric. The food was good but not as elevated I thought it might have been. The off the bone ribs were unbelievable. The crab was overcooked and very dry. The service was efficient but not friendly and the inability of the team to recommend dishes in what is a large menu left us fending for ourselves when we wanted to discover the best.

If you're in Hong Kong, there are a few restaurants that have chosen to elevate dim sum. Mott 32 is one of them and their char siu (barbecue pork) is to die for. Atmosphere is on the high end, great customer service, a robust vegetarian selection and I'll definite be going back for their duck. You need to reserve the duck a few days before to get it! ( We were not lucky this time around with eh duck because we booked too late)

Everything is done well. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. The Iberico roast pork melts in your mouth. The surroundings are relaxed and service very attentive.

Very crowded place. Nice deco, nice food with fine selection of Drinks. Great service. The BBQ Pluma Iberico Pork, Yellow Mountain Honey is a must!!! As it has daily limits on orders you should reserve when you are booking your seats! Pricey but every penny is rewarded from its Food and Service. At dinner do not order Dim Sums. There are special dishes you should try beside of those.

Great food and ambience. The dim sum is superb and don’t go past the signature dishes. Some are highlighted below. Only that the service was not up to the same standard that the kitchen provides.

OMG! How could I have not been here before! This place serves amazing food and cocktail. Must have their roasted duck (I even brought the shell home for cooking), their dumpling WITH soup (not in), the vegetarian dumpling and their egg tart (it runs in the center). Sorry, the food is too good, forgot to take pictures. Next time

Mott 32 is a NYC based American-Chinese restaurant that opened up in the basement (old vault) of the Standard Charter Bank building on Des Voeux Road in Central. They offer a unique dining environs and experience and serve up pretty good Chinese dishes. Opening hours are 12-2.30pm (lunch) and 6-10.30pm (dinner). Reservations are highly recommended if wanting to dine here on weekends or during holidays. Recently, Mott 32 has entered the delivery food segment due to the dining restrictions imposed on restaurants throughout the city during the Covid-19 pandemic. This service is known as Comfort Food by Mott 32, allowing patrons to order simple Cantonese and other Chinese favourites through deliveroo, which you can enjoy from within your area office, home or hotel. Unfortunately, there restaurant's full menu is not available through Comfort Food by Mott 32. We recently tried the Comfort Food by Mott 32, which was delivered in 39 minutes. On the evening, we tried their Sweet & Sour Pork Rib, Kung Pao Chicken with Chili and Stir Fried Sliced Beef with Onion and Black Pepper Sauce. All orders were good enough, not great but not bad either. Portion sizes were rather small and prices rather high, similar to what you find at the restaurant. In the end, we like dining at Mott 32 but feel the price point is too high for the Comfort by Mott 32 food delivery. Dishes are simple and good but it feels like you are still paying for the aesthetics and experience of dining at the restaurant, not something you get with food delivered to your home. Similarly, these are not sophisticated dishes unique to Mott 32, their comfort food for delivery menu consists of simple and comfort dishes you can find throughout the city at much lower prices (and larger portions). As such, I think Mott 32 needs to revisit the pricing of their new delivery service or at least increase the portion sizes of the orders sent out for delivery.

Above all, the atmosphere is very good. Peking duck and dim sum were good. It is very popular, so you need to make a reservation in advance. It's not a bad place except that the price is a bit expensive.

Surprisingly good and worth every penny spent ! I didn’t go with high expectations, you know ...thought its westernized Chinese food, but I was pleasantly surprised! Indeed very authentic and I am sure the chef has put tremendous efforts into each dishes. Their Peking duck is a must have and don’t forget to have the fried rice with minced duck meat, so good!

Stars for food only, they worth more Very bad experience for take away service. I placed order before 2pm for picking at 6pm. When I arrived, they missed 1 course (I ordered 5 courses) when I checked the order. But the staff can tell what was missing immediately before I said . If you knew what was missing, why you only found out when I arrived?? Then I have to wait for 30mins for my take-away. I could see people come and go even they came later than me. The staff kept apologize and admit there was issue happened. And they need to prepare for others first. What?! I am really disappointed as I dont know why I placed order ahead but still... what can I say, BAD LUCK!!!!

3 stars for food only... catering management can be much better compared to others famous restaurants in Central area... it's the managerial mistake ruined the consumer experience. it's not fair to service staff who is being blamed by customers that is literally the mistakes of the managerial staff... things liked promotion, ordering... seems the managerial staff lose the way of managing to success, and the staff is not getting clear instructions.... btw, again, food is good.

Delicious dinner with a view of Victoria Harbour if you can get a table by the window. We got the dim sum appetizer platter and 'Bao and Soy Milk' dessert - soy milk caramel ice-cream in the shape of a bun with puffed rice and flakey sesame pastry. The restaurant is a bit dark at night, feels very similar to its previous location.

This is the first time I went to the new location since it relocated to the H Zentre. The view of the Harbour is obviously the selling point but how does the food compare? We were actually reasonably happy with the food. The lobster was fresh and the Sichuan boiled fish was also a highlight. I’d happily come back again.

We just celebrated a birthday at Hutong. We absolutely loved the restaurant, from the top notch service to the exquisite and well presented food, to the incredible decor, design and view. Most important, and very unique to HK, the vibe the DJ created was superb. She created an upbeat and sexy vibe throughout the evening. Highly recommend Hutong for your special night out!

  • 5/5 Ivan C. 7 months ago on Google
The overall dining experience is very delicate and delightful with the quality of serving and cuisines (not the most local flavor but it’s still very delicious). The interior decoration is amazing and immersive. With the music and lighting, it creates a feeling of fusion between Western and Eastern atmospheres. The pricing is definitely very expensive to HK local people. If you have the budget, it is worthwhile to try or to bring your foreign friends here. Suggest to book in advance.

We were looking for a great place for Peking Duck. When we got there we decided to do the chefs tasting menu. That was a great idea as we not only had what we came for but a great fish and lobster! This restaurant has great service and an outstanding view. A bit pricey but I think you definitely get your money’s worth!!!
