Very disappointed. I have been to dozens of Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe and Asia and I really don't understand how this place got a star. The noodles are not very good. The wantons and dumplings were good but not that exceptional.

Food quality is good. The traditional Hong Kong noodles and congee. Noodle is exceptional despite a higher price.

If you're looking for an upscale wonton noodle soup place, Ho Hung isn't a bad choice. Definitely enjoyed my beef brisket noodles, which was quite tender and flavorful. The wontons I tried from my partner were good, but I was expecting amazing with the Michelin star. The rest of the dimsum was very tasty though, with the fried wonton the pick of the bunch. The price-to-value ratio here is out of whack because of the Michelin, but you're essentially paying for the ambiance.

Ho Hung is a popular place for both tourists and locals. When ever I come you will see a good mix of both. As the name suggests they are known for their noodles and congee. Their wonton noodles is one of the better ones in town. They also serve select dim sum and some stir fry dishes as well. Food: 4 stars Service/environment: 3.5 stars Overall: 3.75 stars Recommendations: wonton noodle soup, fried beef flat noodle, crispy shrimp roll If you come here you really need to order the wonton noodle soup. It hits all the notes that you look for. The noodles are nice and springy and soup has a rich depth of flavor to it and has tons of umami. The wontons for me are more complimentary part and these are good here too.

One Michelin rated star for its wantan mee and porridge as their prodigy dish. Price wise its at the high end considering its inside the mall, yet the portion serving is small or comes with a large price for a bigger portion, to the extend its double the normal street food price at a half of portion. Taste wise the standard is there to capture its status, ambience is comfortable and clean, staffs are friendly. Unfortunately didn't get to try the porridge dishes, but they have more than just porridge and the wanton mee. If you are a big portion and budget eater, this ain't a place to hang with as there are plenty more Michelin rated food stalls/restaurant that comes with better value for money.

Wonderful service from the staff most of which speaks english. Fast and attentive. The interior setting was comfortable and they do have some booth offering privacy for groups of four. However, it's your luck if you get them as the queue is consistently there. We tried their signature dish wanton soup noodles. The wantons were delicious but more improvement required for the soup base and noodles. The vegetables was almost perfect. Seasoning was nice but slightly over cooked. The yong tau foo tasted above average, with a size I consider smaller than usual. All items are suitably priced.

The restaurant actually opened around 1100, and we were seated quickly cos we thought we had to wait in a long queue. The interior is kind of odd, it's like Tiffany & Co jumped into bed with some Chinese-styled Love Hotel 🤔😂🙈 Food is very average. 沒有特別好吃. It's certainly better than the ones in western countries (some). Had high expectations as the restaurant had been recommended by several HK tourist pamphlets (tourist trap! 遊客陷阱真的). I would go if there was no queue, or if you're just in the area :) If i had to choose, my favourite dishes were the black sesame porridge (dessert) and shrimp tofu curd roll? 虎皮捲? Service is minimal to none. There's lots of staff members around, but none seems to be around when you want to order something or get some more tea 😂

If you have been visiting Hong Kong several times and want to know what is the golden standard for dim sum, porridge or wan ton & noodles, this 1 star Michelin joint is a must-try for HKG visitors. It sets the standard for how Cantonese dim sum should be served, every dish we ordered is delicious. Prices might be 30-40% higher than street eateries but you are assured of consistency n good quality food here.

The first time we came here was in 2014 and really enjoyed the food. This year we came back and the food stll didn’t disappoint. The dimsum we had was fresh and portion was quite generous. Compared to other places with similar prices, Ho Hung Kee definitely offers more value. We also like the environment and surprisingly the staff was fluent in English. We will come back.

tried the congee, noodles, dim sum. The congee is obviously not completely done by boiling. It's done by mixing with rice powder so that it taste creemy. the noodles are very bitter. food not fresh. not

Not sure why the reviews here are so low. We had a great meal and everything was tasty, including the black sesame dessert! Service was friendly and attentive.

Definitely one of the best wonton noodles in Hong Kong. Must try. Bright clean surroundings. Great service. Worth every penny.

We had an excellent experience at Ho Hung Kee and highly recommend you eating here too. The food was all well prepared, flavorful, and brought out in a timely fashion. The service was very attentive and professional. We love the decor and how clean the restaurant was. This was a fantastic meal for the price too! Be sure to stop in and you won’t be sorry.

Not too busy on a Friday night for dinner and we were seated straight away. We ordered mixed meat congee, rice noodle with beef and the rice noodle with egg. Dishes were quite tasty however found the noodles to be a little too oily. Congee was delicious. Would come back and try other items on the menu.

Beautifully decorated restaurant that almost reminds me of being inside a Tiffany jewelry box. However, the food didn’t meet my expectations as a Michelin star restaurant. The fish skin was overly salty and wasn’t very crunchy. The wonton noodles had an EXTREMELY strong ammonia taste and smell that I had to drown out with vinegar. I’ve never had ammonia smell this strong from these noodles elsewhere. The noodles weren’t as springy either. Located a mall in Causeway Bay, prices were a little bit higher.

Went there for lunch twice within a few days. That was how good I found this restaurant. Although full, the tables were not too close to one another to make eating uncomfortable like many restaurants in Hong Kong. It was brightly lit with interior designed lightings. So the ambience was good. Service was great. Food was great. I liked the congee, the sesame dessert, the soya bean juice, the noodle, veg, sui kao, wanton, etc. Located in Hysan Place within walking distance from Causeway Bay MTR.

One of the few remaining handful of the popular wonton noodle restaurants in Hong Kong, Ho Hung Kee is located in a convenient location within the Causeway Bay shopping centres. The environment is clean and staff are efficient and friendly. I've had their wonton noodles a few times and the broth and texture of the noodles remain consistent. The wonton is also nicely flavoured. I also recommend the fish skin as well as the pomelo skin steamed with shrimp roe and sauce. There are not many restaurants which cook these dishes anymore. Recommend to visit if you are within the area 👍😋😋

The wonton noodle is excellent. It's a class above typical wonton noodle in Hk. The texture noodle is springy with characteristic. The soup has a pleasing flavour but not too strong. The wonton contains tasty prawn. It's a perfect combination for a high quality bowl of wonton noodle soup. The dumpling is kind of more common in comparison to other restaurants.

The congee is 1 of the best so far with the pork liver thick and fresh. The restaurant is not crowded on a weekend as it’s located within a office building. Service can be improved though but overall okay!

Michelin dining experience here is so great. Every dish we ordered are delicious. Never disappointed. You must try this restaurant.

At twice here because the food tastes really good and fresh. Not certain why they lost their one star rating. I still think it's affordable good Hong Kong cuisine. A first trying steamed pork ribs. I love it. The chee chiong fan has really good char siew and accompanying sauce. Im not a fan of the HK texture as it's of a mushy consistency. But overall still a nice dish. The beef fried rice noodles is a popular item people order apart from the wanton noodles.
