(Translated by Google) Located in the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong Wetland Park is one of the largest ecological conservation projects in Hong Kong. The wetland covers an area of 61 hectares, including 60 hectares of outdoor protected areas and 10,000 square feet of indoor pavilions. The original site of the Wetland Park was just an ordinary wetland. The Hong Kong government decided to use this land to compensate for the ecological value land lost during the development while developing the new town of Tin Shui Wai. At present, the address has been successfully developed into an international eco-tourism project, which is an important place for conservation of wetlands, eco-tourism and education. At present, the wetland park is mainly divided into two parts: the exhibition center of the visitor center and the outdoor wetland protection area. Beautiful tranquil park that all can enjoy. Carpark is cheap at $8 an hour and tickets are also cheap- the whole experience very worth it! I enjoyed my stroll around here and it took around 2 hours to cover the grounds. A few things under maintenance, hope more people will come and support it.

(Translated by Google) Since more than ten years ago, I have been here at least ten times a year, but now I find that there seems to be a problem in the management of the wetland park. The dragonflies and insects, regardless of type or number, have been greatly reduced, and they are getting fewer and fewer. I wonder if it is caused by humans. Management related? It is hoped that the wetland park will not become an ordinary park with only flowers, plants, and no biodiversity for visiting, which is no different from an ordinary urban park. . 。

Hong Kong Wetland Park is a protected sanctuary for migrating birds coming from the North and elsewhere. Flocks of different kind and species stays here from Autumn until early Spring where wildlife photo enthusiast gather here for the best opportunity in capturing their natural behaviour hunting for foods or just flying around the marshland. The park opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm daily. There are several interesting areas inside and educational for the young ones and olds too! The entrance fee is very cheap and you can even buy a 6 months multi-entry card at a very low price! The best time to visit the park is during autumn and winter if you're just in for a relaxing moments with your family and friends and for wildlife photography otherwise summer is just too hot! You can reach the place via light rail train from Tin Shui Wai metro station.

Something different to all the buildings and skyscrapers. The Hong Kong Wetland Park is located in New Territories, near the Chinese border. On a sunny cloudless day you can get a view to Shenzhen. The entry fee is not that expensive and the most interesting part of the Park is the crocodile!

An inexpensive admission fee of $30 (adult) for such a well kept, tranquil place. The exhibits are good for children, although still interesting to the adults. I enjoyed walking through the vast wetland, where you can take a momentary break from the dense high rises of Hong Kong. The only thing that disappointed me was the crocodile’s enclosure, which was too small for such a large creature.

Spent around 3 hours in the park and really enjoyed it. I appreciate the effort put into the park to make it pleasant. The bird viewing huts are a must. Another tip is to pick a window spot in the park restaurants to enjoy food and the view. Be aware the park can be a little hotter than the city.

Fun educational day trip for a group or family outing, not too challenging to walk the full park. The place is well designed and has a good exhibit of plants, views and trails. Also good to see something that both nature and visitors can share, good for time away from the internet things.

A gorgeous place that can meet the very diverse needs of different people. It's a good place for - bird watching - learning about ecological conservation - landscape photography - simply a leisure walk The entrance fee is very affordable. HKD30 for adults and HKD15 for kids. Annual passes cost only HKD100.

An excellent place for birdwatching and observing wildlife. The park is conveniently located close to the light rail. A number of aquatic and urban birds can be observed here. There are also a number of tree species. The mangrove forest is home to interesting wildlife. There are well maintained birdwatching hides which provide an excellent opportunity for birdwatchers to enjoy observing birds.

Excellent exhibit explaining the ecological value of wetland areas. Some displays were not working and some walking areas not open to the public. It would be ideal for children and students as a school tour to learn more about their role in preserving the balance of nature. What is lacking is more interactive help and probably a guide to allow people to tour by themselves as there are no schedules of guided tours available. Also the new housing development seems to be all around the park. Would it not create an ecological issue later?

It's a good ecological leaning center, readily accessible by public transport, bring your cameras with telescopic lenses, children like the crocodile and children playing facilities, viewing birds and mangroves here. In the migration seasons, birds get themselves ready for long haul flight, one group of ten to twenty birds take off in order, spectacular!

Fantastic place for both indoor study and outdoor walking. The park provides several intriguing and interactive games and equipments, to inform the kids about the environmental protection techniques, including water and wildlife saving. And the park has arranged some special display areas, which simulate the exact natural life system with specific sounds effects. One scene impressed me the most was the nocturnal room, where I saw a group of fireflies shining in the dark and it was really amazing. In all, its a must go place if you want to get close to the nature and to have some fresh air.

A great day out and it is not too difficult to get to from central as there is a direct bus to get to the wetland park. The park is nicely done and the entrance fee is reasonable. Unfortunately there are a lot of big ants now and the park will not treat it. Make sure u bring an insect repellant with you. The hides is lovely. It is really a brilliant hiding place to cool yourself down and take pictures of birds. Would definitely recommend.

Hong Kong Wetland Park is located in the northern part of Tin Shui Wai. The land on which it is located was originally intended to be used as an ecological mitigation area to make up for the wetland lost due to the urban development of the new town of Tin Shui Wai. In 1998, the former Agriculture and Fisheries Department (now renamed the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department) and the former Hong Kong Tourist Association (now renamed the Hong Kong Tourism Board) launched a project to expand the ecological relief area into a wetland eco-tourism attraction The feasibility study is called "International Wetland Park and Visitor Center". The conclusion of the study is that a wetland park can be developed in the ecological mitigation area without weakening its ecological mitigation function. The development of the Hong Kong Wetland Park can even upgrade the ecological relief area into a world-class attraction integrating nature conservation, education and tourism. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government later listed the Hong Kong Wetland Park Project as one of its millennium development projects. The Hong Kong Wetland Park officially opened on May 20, 2006. The 61-hectare Hong Kong Wetland Park showcases the diversity of Hong Kong's wetland ecosystems and highlights the importance of protecting them. In addition, opportunities are provided to set up educational and leisure venues with the theme of wetland functions and values for local residents and overseas tourists.

Avoid coming here on the weekends and public holiday if you want some peace and quiet. You won't find it here. Firstly, the queue for entry tickets was so long, we had to wait in line for around 15-20 minutes. Every inch and corner of the park was suuuper crowded and long queues everywhere. Very noisy and full of kids screaming and running around. Traffic jam on narrow bridge walks and narrow pathways. Not enjoyable at all. The views are somewhat calming if you're able to capture a moment of tranquility.

A fine spot for a wander on a nice day. I think it is worth the $30 admission ($15 concession). You start off at a small but engaging mini-aquarium with a good deal of information and some interactive stations that children seem to enjoy a great deal. Some of them were "under repair" though. There is also an extensive outdoor component walking around the wetland area with lots of plants and ponds. We didn't see top much I. The way of animals, but that can't be helped. There are a great deal of toilets scattered around and a decent looking cafe. My party didn't go into the cafe because it was rather busy. It's probably not worth the trip to the area if you are based in Central etc, but if you're in the area it's a good way to while away a couple of hours.

Had the most wonderful day at this oasis within the city. Hong Kong Wetland Park is easily accessible by public transport. As my hotel was in Sai Ying Pun on the island I took bus no. 970 from Water Street to Western Harbor Crossing Toll Plaza stop. Change to bus no. 967 and it stops almost directly across the Wetland Park. I was not disappointed with the migratory birds that I saw. The park is geared towards family activities. There were stations set up whereby volunteers share experience with young children to plant the seed of wildlife conservation. There's also an interactive booth where we could color our own HK Wetland Park badge! Highlight: we saw flocks of common cormorant flying north. Absolutely Stunning.

Wonderful place for taking a nice relaxing stroll. It could get a bit busy on weekends, but as soon as you explore deeper within the park, the crowd disperses. Great place for kids and the elders, but you might find the park smaller than expected if you like to walk. (Spent 1.5hours here walking slowly.)

My husband and I came on a Sunday morning. Walked every bit and visited all the indoor galleries. We were there a little over 2 hours. If you have kids, you'd spend more time there. Playground is closed, but there's tons of space for them to discover and run around. Bring binoculars to enjoy birdwatching from the shaded viewing points.

A very well organized wetland park. Everything well displayed, sectioned, and explained; with an amazing Mountain View. Don’t forget to spray some anti-insects or wear long pants. Otherwise mosquitos are going to have a great party. Admission fees are very reasonable. They have a small indoor playground free of charge. But each time slot kids can only enter for like 15 mins, and they will get everyone out again.

There's indoor aquarium and small exhibition, then there's the outdoor walks sightseeing. You actually get to see wild crabs and mudskipper fish (not in aquarium but actually wild), as well as lots of birds and fish. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor walks while looking around for signs of animal life. The cafeteria food is also decent and not expensive. Good for half-day visit. I'd visit again.

Must go! Well located in the beautiful Tin Shui Wai, wetlands give you a unique vibe, especially when you visit that place with your kids. It's a place where we will indulged in the beauty of nature and realise the necessity to keep wetlands for the planet!! Never miss it! Several buses and light train stop nearby the park. There's a very good museum and all information is well presented everywhere.
