Prepare for a potentially lengthy weekend wait, averaging around 30 minutes. To expedite the process, I recommend purchasing your ticket in advance, allowing you to bypass the ticket line and save 5 to 10 minutes. Regarding the car choice, I don't find the transparent floor option worthwhile as it doesn't provide significantly better views, making the extra cost unjustified. Additionally, for better photo opportunities, secure a spot in the driving direction during your experience.

If you are scared of heights I suggest someone blindfold you and you take deep breaths for this amazing experience! From these cable car you are able to view an amazing “360” of the Hong Kong vicinity leading up the mountain side. Once on top there’s the monastery and giant Buddha. To enter the statue you will pay a fee.

Visiting the cable car turned out to be a pleasant experience, despite the long queues. The queue management was well organized, allowing everyone to calmly wait for their turn to board the cabin. Such organization helps to maintain calm and patience during the wait. The presence of a toilet at the station was especially appreciated, as it was very timely considering the length of the wait and the duration of the cable car ride. Also worth mentioning is the availability of a kiosk with water and snacks on the premises, which was very convenient. Overall, the visit to the cable car was a nice addition to our day.

My first time to go for the sunset and going back after nightfall. Usually I went in day light. Impressive view during night, which is a great experience and alternative to the day time trip. The only drawback is the queue for last cable car, which was quite long.

Lots of people here. Suggest buy ticket in advance, there is free wifi so should be easy to book at the last minute and join shorter queue. Views are great!!!

Great views everywhere and lovely cable car ride up! Highly recommend to go before 12pm, that's when all the tourists start going up and it becomes fairly rowdy.

It was not crowded on a Saturday late morning. The cable car ride was pretty nice and stable even with the winds howling outside. I could see Chek Lap Kok runway and a few planes landing and taking off. People were hiking up the mountain among the lush greenery below my cable car. I would have enjoyed a very far scenic view if not for the mist/smog. It was another fresh angle to look at Tin Tan Buddha from the cable car just before I reach the Ngong Ping Village.

Very nice view and not busy in the morning, although Big Buddha was undergoing renovation so we could only see the top half.

The ride by cable car is fantastic, in particular the crystal cable car. The view is beautiful, you can see Macau from afar. However, the shops on the top, many don't open on weekdays. Cannot even find a coffee shop there. If you are hungry or thirsty, you can only have Taiwan sugar tea or Taiwan style noodles,. Instant cooking as well, so the taste is chemical, not natural. Also, forget about the big bronze buda statue, it is all cover up for repair. If you really want to go, go on weekend and check if the Buda repair work finished or not

The Cabin was big. It's moving smoothly feeling like flying. Compare to Ocean park sometimes get bumpy ride this was great ride. The weather was very humid yesterday. Only can see white around the cabin when we was up. But after the middle terminal start seeing clear views at the down side. Experience the feeling like we just out from another world in the mist. 🤩. Really enjoyed and having great fun. Looking forward for another ride ☺️. Share some beautiful view here.

Took this cable car a few times with my family many years ago. Amazing that it is so well maintained. It was a weekday that we visited. So the queue for the cable car was not very long. Please buy tickets online as it is much cheaper than buying on location.

Ngongping is beautiful especially the cable cart journey. I was there during (almost) sunset. The view was really breathtaking. The sea, the mountains, the buildings, the weather. Everything was perfect and jaw dropping.

This is one of the most popular places in Hongkong. Make sure you bought your ticket in advance and go there lineup before 10am I went there 9:30am, not much people Everything went smoothly. The scenic is wonderful and it paid off the ticket itself. Pay a bit more to get onto a cryatal+ cabin. You will enjoy it.

Definitely recommend this during Hong Kong trip. Visit during weekends will have waiting time but you can skip the queue if you book tickets in advance. The big budha statue at the top is outstanding. So calm and peaceful over there.

Unique and unforgettable experience. The cable car ride is a great way to see the stunning scenery of Lantau Island, but the queues are long (queued for almost an hour to return). Ngong Ping Village is a charming and peaceful place to spend an afternoon with lots of photo opportunities. Of course the highlight is the Giant Buddha, with breathtaking views.

What an amazing place! The journey is really scenic and beautiful. The village is very cozy and has a lot of nice food and souvenir shops.

The easy way to get into Lantau Island is through Ngong Ping Cable Car, which connects from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping on Lantau Island. It takes around 25 minutes to ride 5.7km in length. Let's experience the thrill of a 360-degree view panoramic of the land, rainforest, sea, and the sky. Don't forget to catch a glimpse of Tian Tan Buddha before the cable car reaches Ngong Ping. It's the perfect and beautiful view of the Buddha statue in the forest. There are several exciting places to see during this 25 minutes ride, such as Ngong Ping Village, Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau Bridge, and Tung Chung Bay.

When we went there were very few people. The experience was with a standard ticket but we got a private cabin. The view is wonderful and it's definitely the longest cable car I've been on!

Ngong Ping 360 in Hong Kong is a truly breathtaking experience. The cable car ride to the top of Lantau Island offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside, including the famous Tian Tan Buddha statue. The journey itself is an adventure, as the cable car climbs high above the treetops, providing a bird's eye view of the lush greenery below. Upon arrival, the views from the top of the peak are nothing short of spectacular. Visitors can take in the panoramic views of the island, the ocean and the city. The Buddha statue is a must-see for anyone visiting the area. It is a sight to behold and a great photo opportunity. In addition to the beautiful views, Ngong Ping 360 also offers a cultural village where visitors can learn about the history and traditions of the local residents. And the food is also fantastic, with a variety of local and international cuisines to choose from. In short, Ngong Ping 360 is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience in Hong Kong. It is an amazing combination of natural beauty, cultural heritage and modern amenities that will leave you breathless. 5/5 stars.

Great spot for holiday, nice service by NP360 staff, excellent views all along the cable car route from Tung Chung to Lantau. You can see the HK Airport, HK Macau Zhuhai Bridge, mountains & the Big Buddha. Great experience

Something should be done about the wind chill at both ends of the cable car, as well as a sign or sticker letting people know they can open and close the windows on the cable car. 50% chance I'll do it again, seriously considering doing the walking trail instead

Amazing experience! The gondola is very fun and it allows for incredible shots. The view from the gondola is breathtaking and on the top you could see the big Buddha statue.

I would recommend ordering tickets in advance. It seems the tickets they accept are through their own website and from Klook. They had 3 lines in that kind of merged into the same ticket kiosks; albeit at different line lengths depending on your purchase. Be aware that there are 3 different types of cable car and that there are also different queues for each. Standard Cable Car Crystal Cable Car (Just glass floor) Crystal+ Cable Car (full 360 degree view) Check your tickets to ensure you have the right one! If you have no ticket on a busy day, you have to queue to get a ticket; that’s right you queue to get the ticket to be able to buy tickets. There is a automated numbered queue system in place for this - I would highly recommend you place your ticket orders ahead of time.

We arrived about 11am and got straight on a cable car no queue. One of our party is a wheelchair user and the staff helped him into a car with no hassle. The views are spectacular. We had a normal car not glass bottom as I prefer to see something beneath my feet. The ride was smooth and we had relatively clear weather.good experience for all both ways would recommend .

Great view on the way up plus a wonderful experience of religious tourism at the top. Might need to check the weather ahead of time. We visited during a cloudy period, so we had to rely on Google maps to stay on track 😅

  • 5/5 Nyma M. 10 months ago on Google
Very nice and long cable car. It's quite expensive and we would recommend the basic gondola to save some money. The view at the top is amazing but there are many shops for tourists which takes the authentic athmosphere away.

Beautiful place to visit in Hong Kong. 10am to 11am or 3.0pm to 5.00pm will be the right time to visit in summer. If you visit after 3pm, you have to leave before 5pm.. The cable car works from 10am to 6pm. So plan your trip accordingly..

Gorgeous. Would go again. Using the clear cable cars to get to the top is so fun. The town at the top is cute. Lots of souvenirs. Big Buddha is incredible. Would go again.

I got the one with the glass bottom forgetting my fear of heights. Glewed to the seat and damn its high. Well worth it though, amazing views and the village at the top is great. Well worth a trip here.

It's really fun while you are riding the Ngong Ping 360, so amazing views of nature. I recommend you to try the crystal cable car so that you can enjoy the views also down. It's so relaxing and enjoying.

I've been here last CNY, long lines, crowded of visitors almost all restaurants are long queues, but because I already expected it, I brought a lots of PATIENCE in my bag and yet I enjoyed the beautiful scenery of nature. The very nice warmth weather that can walked all around the place. I will definitely back again to this place.

Beautiful place for hiking. The shops there are pretty much catered for the tourists. This place is a good staying point to hike the mountains as its almost half way up the mountains

  • 5/5 Kristine K. 4 months ago on Google
Beautiful but expensive to reach it... I took the bus and got the cable car back down. Price wise it would make sense to get the cable car both ways. There's a few places to eat (expensive) and nice views. The big Buddha is amazing. Would recommend... Even cows roaming around

Amazing views. Very very worth! I recommend purchasing tickets off of their website rather than klook which most people did and had to wait in a much longer queue.

This is one of the best cable cars I’ve been on because of how long the ride is. You’re able to see amazing views of mountains, the airport and the underwater sea bridge. It is crowded and because of this you’re most likely going to be placed in a car with other parties. The only reason I took a star is because of the customer service. Most of the staff had bad attitudes. Overall, this was a great experience.

  • 5/5 Vijay S. 3 months ago on Google New
Great place to visit for a hike, walk, sightseeing, relaxing, enjoying the cable car ...etc. Need 25 minutes each way on the cable car and there's usually a wait to return during the holidays evening hours. I went with too little time and had to return immediately citing my upcoming flight. They were kind enough to let me skip the line after showing my boarding pass. So please keep at least 2 hours if you plan to visit, though I would recommend more if you enjoy hiking and the views. Going around sunset and clear weather is amazing.

Took the glass bottomed cable ride up. See great views. Visited the chocolate factory there n now under promotion of buy 1 get 1. Visitors can taste a wide variety of chocolate samples with very informative explanations of the make of each type.

This is a must attraction when in Hong Kong. It is super exciting. In the cable car you can see parts of Hong Kong from above. Also, while going to an above Lantau Island, this attraction highlights the other, non urbanised but natural parts of Hong Kong. The cable car ride is a total recommendation!

If you’re planning to visit the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery in Lantau Island, riding the cable car is a fun option to consider. Though it is not the fastest way to get there, the cable car does provide some amazing views of the mountainous terrain of the Lantau Island, the Big Buddha, the Hong Kong International Airport and the surrounding areas. The cabin is pretty spacious and would probably easily fit up to 8 people though we went on a weekday so we had it all to ourselves. We got the crystal cabin, with the glass bottom which made the ride even more exciting.

Excellent way to immerse yourself in the smog and PM2.5. You're also going to like how you'll be coerced to remove your mask for a photo so that you can be charged $200 a piece later on.

Make sure you can go on a clear day like we did. Great views and a pleasent trip going up, which is about 25 mins. The village is quaint, as you make your way up to the Big Buddha. Taking the cable car back was such a great way to end the day.

  • 4/5 Tom 1 year ago on Google
Ideally go when the weather is clear - on a foggy day it’s only 50% of the value. Suggest to take the added cost for the crystal cabin as it is a) an experience by itself and b) it may reduce your waiting time by 15-40min on a busy day! The big Buddha and the monastery are the actual sights on the mountain. The rather cheap looking and fast food ambience style of the Chinese village look alike shopping street is a shame. Wish they could have come up with something more original than a tourist trap.

  • 4/5 Joe S. 1 year ago on Google
nice experience with the crystal cable car, however, NP360 is not to be blamed for the mist/fog all over the lantau island, as you may see from the photos, which they did their best to provide good service and being helpful enough.

Must go visit when in Hong Kong. Some cable car fun, big Buddha and monastery. Also some traditional desserts waiting at the foot of the hill before walking up the long staircase up to the Buddha.

This year 2022 hongkong is still in epidemic so when my friend and i go there it's perfect timing. Not too crowded the queue is fast like a lightning. The service and maintenance of the cable car is good and safe, the environment of ngong ping village is really spectacular thankyou kool for the great deal

A transportation from Tung Chung to Po Lin Monastery. The total one way travel time is around 20-25mins. Great view and great experience. The only complaint is about the arrangement. Under the pandemic, there are less people, and they still forced us (a group of 4) to join the cart with other parties. I think it will be more safe if each party got their own cart.
