I took a ride on the Ferris Wheel at Central in Hong Kong yesterday. For just $20, it offers a unique experience to witness the city's skyline. The 15-minute ride gave me an excellent vantage point of both the HK island and Kowloon side. The fantastic view of the city's iconic landmarks, bustling streets, and serene waters was impressive. The wheel and its cabins are well-maintained, providing a secure and comfortable ride. The staff were friendly, creating an overall pleasant trip.

Good view. Each ride takes approximately 15 min. It sometimes has an estimated wait time at the start of the wait line. Reasonable price.

The wheel make 3 rounds with few 1-2 min pauses. It is not necessary to buy tickets online because queue to tickets is move fast enough. 5-10min and you'll buy a ticket. But queue to the wheel is long, it may take up to a hour to get in, unfortunately there is no way to skip it. You may also buy private ticket to the wheel, it costs few times more than ordinary one, and your queue will be shorter.

Buy you ticket online to avoid long q at the booking office. Many visitors but the queues wasn't too bad maybe in the summer it would be too hot to queue outside. The ride was 15-20 mins long, go round 3 times. Nice view at the top , can see the whole harbour side.

I can't believe the ticket is only HKD$20 for an adult!!! No ferris wheel in the world has such a good deal. Amazing views! I would do it over and over again if I have time.

Ferris wheel for cheaper than the cost of a meal? HK$20 for adult. It can also be bundled with a carousel ride. Plenty of other activities on Sunday evening, including live-band performance, food stalls, and various photo opportunities. Best to go in the evening for beautiful skyline.

Quite cheap around HKD20 per person for regular ticket, but queue is so long especially at weekend. Worth to try anyways.

The ride was well worth it, kids 10hkd and adults 20hkd, you can never get rides this price in sgd. Ride went 3 times up and down, nice view and ride, they close at 11pm and there is a carnival beside it, beautiful view and scenery!

An amazing place to visit during our stay in Hong Kong. Just need to pay $20HKD for each person, one gondola can be filled maximum 8 persons. Or you can just buy a private gondola for $160HKD. You can see a fantastic city view or even a sunset if you are lucky enough.

Really lovely area for a summer evening, I can imagine when there is no covid the is a lovely atmosphere here! The observation wheel was incredibly relaxing and has beautiful views all over the city! Because it's so quiet at the moment I got an entire booth to myself 😊 you get to go around 3 times which is cool as it gives you more time to enjoy the wonderful city views ☺ the price was incredibly cheap, just only 20$hkd the staff here are really friendly and informative!

I really wanted to take this ride but ended up just hanging out around because there was such a huge line. Look like over an hour wait even for people who had advanced tickets so definitely give yourself plenty of time and try to avoid it dying busy seasons. Even if you don't get on the observation wheel the views from the harbor area awesome. I went on a cloudy day so it wasn't the highest visibility but it still was cool to look at.

It’s called Hongkong’s Observatory Wheel, which larger than a carnival ferris wheel. It looks like this will be a part of an entertainment complex surrounding it that is currently under construction. To the extent that it’s high enough to have a view of Victoria Harbour, it is not of the stature of the London Eye. The cars are rather small. IT could accommodate 4 adults, though taller and/or wider girth people may find it a little confining. The cars are NOT meant for people standing up or shifting about during the ride. On a real clear day, one has a great vista of both the Hongkong Island and Kowloon skylines. One also has a good view of goings-on on Vistoria Harbour. The ride, which is relatively inexpensive, goes around 3x.

If you would like to get on the wheel, choose the timing wisely. If you go in the morning, it may be a bit foggy and you wouldn’t be able to see stuff clearly. Generally, for me this wheel is nothing really special, you can’t compare it to London or Las Vegas. It runs slowly and the cabins are quite small.

Very affordable price. $20hkd The queue was around 30 minutes. The wheel goes around very fast but you do get 3 laps. Total ride time was about 20 minutes. So say 6 minutes ish per lap. I went during the night time and there is a lot of haze because the glass is not clean with scratches and dirt on it. This shouldn't be a problem if going during the day. Hence if planning to go I would not recommend going at night. It's not for me. But great for kids. I prefer Victoria peak, the view up the peak is way better. And the queue to the peak is far shorter and you can stay up there for as long as you like to enjoy the daytime view and the evening view all in 1 trip.

It's a beautiful place to come to with friends, family or even as a solo visitor. It offers a panoramic view,of the sea and islands of Hong Kong and Kowloon. The tickets can be purchased at about $30 per person at the venue. The wheel moves slow, so enjoy the ride and the views. One can also skip the ride and simply enjoy the place from being below, as their is a ferry pier and outdoor opme space too.

Located at the iconic Central Harbourfront, the Hong Kong Observation Wheel offers spectacular day and night views of Hong Kong’s famous skyline and much more. Our ferris wheel rides are priced at just HK$20; as we want to make the experience affordable for all to enjoy. Online reservation is also available to ensure a smoother experience. With just a quick stroll from the Central/Hong Kong MTR Station and Central Ferry Piers, you will not only be greeted by our Ferris wheel, but also an open lawn, yummy snacks and free healthy initiatives at our wellness-themed park: AIA Vitality Park. The AIA Vitality Park hosts a variety of classes and events including fitness classes, yoga, kickboxing, swing dancing and even Capoeira. We will continue to introduce new elements to this iconic landmark including a Classic Carousel which is now open to public. Its a great place to spend some quality time especially in the evening. The food court and the attractions are great. Best to visit with family and friends.

It's been way too many years since I went on a Ferris Wheel. This was a lot of fun and wow what a view. The wait isn't too long and the total ride goes for around 15 minutes / 3 rotations. There are also other activities in the area for the kids, so you can make a day of it. Great location. Awesome view from the top. Friendly staff. Recommended.

When comparing with all the other observation wheels in the world, the Hong Kong Wheel is small in terms of size and height. Yet the location of the wheel is where it stands out. It is located right at Central district, next to the infamous Victoria Harbor, where you can have a bird's eye view of the Harbor, the Kowloon Peninsula, and the north shore of Hong Kong island. You can also find the views of Lantau Island, the Ching Ma bridge, and the Peak. It is even better if you ride the Wheel during the evening and night. Also, it is quite affordable (HK$20 for adult) and this will bring you 3 cycles of spinning wheel time, which is approximately 10 minutes. That should give you ample time to enjoy the sight.

Amazing place. Children will love this place. You can visit the near by west kowloon and tamar park. And also have a nice walk there. Central ferry is also just nearby. 20hkd is ticket price. I am not sure they will accept the octopus card ar not. Because i haven't seen the octopus payment option. One of the must visit place in hong kong.

It was too hot to get on the wheel but it’s worth it and I believe it would be another worth to try at night. It was a long wait because it was a lot of tourists. HKD20 per head and a Gondola can takes up 8 people as well as hire your own for HKD160. It takes about 20 mins to finish 2 laps. The beauty of it is it is air conditioning. Highly recommend for a night ride.

This ferris wheel located at AIA Vitality park that usually have a event there and have various rides. There is also famous ice cream here that you can try. The ferris wheel experience it self is nice. You can enjoy the view of Hong Kong from a high place , with 3 round times. Maybe the problem only the long que. On the weekday and work hours i wait for almost 30 minutes here , No idea if you go here on weekend. But still it's cheap for the rides only cost 20$. Well at least you can also enjoy the surrounding area here. Still nice experience to have in Hong Kong.

If you want a quick ride on the wheel i would highly recommend you buy your tix beforehand cuz it eliminates the need for you to queue up for the long line to buy it there. For 20 HKD and 3 rounds around the wheel it is really a bang for your buck! If you are there till this weekend, AIA is holding a carnival there next to the wheel 🎡!

For HKD 20 per person it's OK. We have our own pod which was great, however, was not that impressed as the pod was quite misty and hence taking pictures from the pod was not ideal. It was OK ride. I was bored pretty quickly.

  • 4/5 Tom 1 year ago on Google
Currently HKOW runs under Covid rules so each group gets its own cabin. Hence, there is little need to buy the private cabin tickets. The only benefit is that a private cabin lets you jump the line. But it comes at 8x the single entry ticket. If you are a group of 5-8 it is probably worth it. The queue can especially on the weekend and after school become quite long, with an hour wait not being unusual.

A cheap ride for a ferris wheel, only HK$20 per person. (If you want to buy out a whole cabin it's HK$160, because each cabin seats 8.)

Very affordable observation wheel experience, only cost HKD 20 per pax or HKD 160 for private cabin (up to 8 pax). You can view the stunning Hong Kong harbour view, recommend you experience it once at daytime and another at night. Per experience you can enjoy around 15 mins ride and 3 turns of spins.

Very nice view from above, but please be prepared with the crowds. Came on weekend and it was very crowded as you can see in the photo from above. If you want to skip the queue, buy the private gondola. It cost 160HKD for each gondola which can be use for up to 8 people. It cost 20HKD for each person for a normal ride. So if you came in a group of 8, or you're OK with paying a bit extra, i really recommend this. We came in a group of 4, so it double the price, but we can enter the gondola in 5 mins. Really worth it.

HK Observation Wheel. This is a very centrally located site in the Business sector of HK . Quite easy to access from anywhere by any kind of It is transportation. Hard to believe such a business area to have a leisurely playground and Sky Wheel . During holidays ,it will take long time to queque up to enjoy the sky wheel. The senior citizens can have concession fare of HKD 10 and priority access. The views are just fantastic as it can have 360 degrees view of the Whole HK , particularly the important city areas of Kowloon Penisula,Central and Eastern and Western Districts including outlying Islands. Worth spending half a day to ride inside the Sky Wheel and loitering in the vicinity promenade. It was visited on Sep-1-2022. Written 11-8-2022.

Great idea, well executed, wonderful atmosphere, although we were unlucky to sit next to a noisy group of eight who kept trying to group together despite the max four person per pod restriction. Good management in reminding them to distance. Food ordering and delivery was fairly fast. Would have been nice if the online ordering allowed for both The Grounds and the Basehall to be ordered in one bill. Sit right behind the two seaters further away from the entrance to avoid the flow of people and to be farther from the toilets at the back. Otherwise you need to pay extra for the VIP stalls up front. I can't see a huge difference up front. The screen is sufficiently large and the sound system is excellent.
