Well worth the visit. I learned a lot about biodiversity and conservation efforts. Bought some fresh local veg and eggs in the farm shop. I personally enjoyed walking - still surprised that people who are able to walk still take the shuttle - lazy visitors in my opinion, who could burn some calories and allow the center to further save on carbon emissions. Please try and fix the slamming door in the fish and reptile section. Sad to see so much litter despite bins and recycling facilities being provided. Great vegan café. Overall, a great sustainable experience.

Fantastic farm and walking trails. Spent 4 hours in here today. $40 adult admissions and $20 for the bus ride. Reasonable price. Products in the shop were a little bit disappointing so did not buy anything. The food offer i the cafe looks deli but I did not try. In my opinion, signs for directions and introduction signage are not sufficient and there wasn’t a guide book/leaflet available either, what a shame! I definitely will come back for hiking to enjoy the scenery.

Quite quite beautiful gardens. Worth a climb for the views of the new territories. Refurbished cafe has an excellent vegan menu. There's always something in bloom. Go say hello to the owls.

Great family with free parking. It was unfortunate to see so many owls in the park, but we enjoyed them very much. They are cool!! We arrived a bit late, around 3pm, and didn't have the time hike the way up to top of the valley. Yet the displays were kept in very good shape.

Kadorie Farm is a truly unique location to visit; it has a fascinating history and serves as both a lovely botanical garden and an animal shelter. The garden is rather beautiful; I highly recommend taking the shuttle bus to the last stop which had a viewpoint, and then follow Enkianthus trail down toewards the creek and walk past the orchid, fern gardens and rainbow pavillion. There are several areas at the bottom where abandoned pets and animals caught up in the illegal animal trade are given a safe place to remain. They have mammals, birds, and even reptiles. They also have an organic farm, with explainatory signs and various greenhouses with more interesting and special plants.

A rare site of greenery surrounding you as you walk along the botanical garden and come across various different species of rescued animals. How to reach 🚌- Take the mtr to Toh Kwa. From there take the bus 66k to Kadoorie Farm. Things to do 🌵 🌴 : Take the shuttle bus at Kadoorie costs extra 10 bucks and takes you to 7 different stops around the gardens or if you're in a mood to hike go for it. The prettiest spot was the 5th point where there's a statue of lady of love and that is the highest as well. The butterfly garden was not that enchanting as there were no butterflies to see. The raptors were quite fascinating. Food 🥑: There was only one cafe at the entrance which was open and was a vegetarian cafe. Would suggest to eat before reaching as the food was very average.

The historic Kadoorie Farm is an interesting day visit. On the one hand you can see what it once was. The old farm terraces are still present and in places are being actively farmed still. Conversely there is an emergent conservation focus in the sense that there are eco gardens and animal houses containing endangered species present. The rest of the site is forest tracks and trails interspersed with different foci like a farm shop, insect garden, ect etc. this is great when the weather is fine. There are facilities in the lower farm including a toilet. Overall a nice place to spend a couple of hours but not quite there with facilities etc to offer a seamless exp. Always feels a bit disconnected.

Lovely peaceful setting. Very tropical. Shuttle bus is a great idea for getting to the top especially in the heat. Sadly not orchid season. Well signposted. Lots of steps so not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Easy to get to on public transport.

A good place for an individual or family outing. It offers learning opportunities about terrace farming, raising farm animals, animal conservation, different ecosystems, and ancient plants and animals. Some areas are at an elevation, so a shuttle service also plies for easy access.

Great place to go, cozy and quiet, a nice place to go, if you want a day away from the crowd.

Recommend to family and kids! Can spend whole day in the farm, the food in organic cafe is delicious! Outdoor seats under shade. We join the shuttle bus tour up to the hill for lunch break, the trail to the pagoda is a small loop that kids can discover the nature, see butterfly, run a loop and back to you in the pagoda. Animals are kept very clean in spacious rooms decorated like forest, birds in big cages, flamingos are in open space, the environment designed close to nature. Most of the trails are like in wilderness, shady under trees, very steep and lots of stairs. There are plenty of benches for a rest. The main road is not shaded and is paved for shuttle bus. Not a stroller friendly garden, we use baby backpack carrier. It’s surprising that we were not bitten by any insects for the whole visit! We hiked through the trails up to the butterfly garden, visited those animals around the foot of the hill, we were still bite free ! The sky trial is an interesting hiking trail without kids. Not very steep, not paved, in the wild. Bus stop just at the entrance, or you can reserve a parking space online. Will come again!

I love Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden very much. Went there twice, but still haven’t gone all the spots! Every attraction is so appealing that I can’t help but stay for a while to enjoy the nature at a leisurely pace. Lots of trees, flowers and animal in the garden. Will come back soon! Started at Kadoorie Brothers Memorial Pavilion and planned to go to Kwun Yam Shan Summit this time, but we, accidentally, went the Sky Trail which is a nature walk and got lost. Finally arrived at T.S. Woo Memorial Pavilion for over 2 hours. Happy to see the falls! Personally, I think this nature walk is a bit dangerous for younger children and the seniors as well as quite exhausting, have to climb up and down a lot. But the scene is undoubtedly awesome!

I took a group of 10 year olds on a self guided tour. This is a wonderful resource in Hong Kong, especially for local children who have so little exposure to nature. They have an excellent mix of animals, most of whom have a story to do with some form of rescue. The gardens are beautiful and the landscape is arranged with artistry. The only downside was that there were so many places closed, which you could only find out when you arrived at the particular place. Bad communication!

A biological learning area on the top of the hill. Bus station in front to Tai Po or Kam Sheung Road.

Very nice place to see wild animals and nature. Family friendly. I do not recommend bringing a trolley for your toddler as you will carry him most of the time

Great for couples/friends/families, a very good educational centre of many rare animals in hk. Meanwhile you can access the nature by hike or shuttle bus - mountains, lakes… You can spend half day there for the animals and spots down the hill, and whole day if you want to hike or visit spots on the mountain
