That's a Buddhist temple from XIX century in the middle of hill on main island of Hiking Kong. It's free entrance and easy to go by those sequence of sleeper escalators. Its facades are simple but inside is such a beautiful and cozy place to connect to spirituality just into the busy city. The interior design is incredibly rich of details with great job in wood and very colourful. The smell, the foggy atmosphere and the sound make us feel serenity and calm...I just loved to visit that place. After visit the temple take the way on your left and walk for that area where you will find many antiquity stores, Asian objects and furniture.

Not many tourists are familiar with this spot but this is a historical site. It's worth going up the stone slab stairs and strike a pose if you want a little piece of history. It's conveniently located in Central and a little walk from the MTR station.

A famous old street in Hong Kong, good for photo taking here. There is not much place like this- old, remarkable but still in use and reserved. It’s a bit difficult to walk on to be honest, especially when you are on high heels! Be very careful to tip over!

A steep walk way with many different shops on each side. A good opportunity to take some nice pictures. It's located in central which makes it easily accessibly on Hong Kong Island.

(Translated by Google) Also known as Pottinger Street in Central, it is located in Central, Hong Kong. He is not only a hundred-year-old historical monument, but also a popular filming location for many movies. This beautiful temple sits quietly in the middle of towering skyscrapers and provides quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Built in 1847, the gable roof is supported by ornate granite columns with traditional Chinese motifs. The roof itself is adorned with beautiful woodcarvings and plaster mouldings. The temple’s interior is covered in murals and ceramic figurines. Enormous coils of incense hang from the ceiling, with little red pieces of paper attached, containing the wishes of worshipers. I wrongly assumed that these wishes were examples of benevolence, until my Chinese-speaking friend laughed at my photograph; pointing out that one of them was a worshipper’s wish for his boss to award him a pay rise!

Located near the popular and trendy Hollywood Road, this temple stands out amidst the concrete jungle that is Central, Hong Kong. I came here on Wesak Day and it was bustling with devotees and tourists alike. Luckily, I arrived in the late evening when most of the earlier crowds had dissipated. I didn't choose this time on purpose but was glad to be here when the evening sun cast a golden hue on the crimson facade of the temple. The interior is equally fascinating but I had to ensure my quest for the perfect shot was not intrusive to the devotees performing their prayer rituals.

A Wen Wu temple or Wenwu temple (Chinese: 文武廟) is a dual temple in China venerating the two patron gods of civil and martial affairs in the same temple complex. In southern China the civil god or Wéndì (Chinese: 文帝) is Wenchang (Chinese: 文昌), while in the north it is Confucius; in both north and south the martial god or Wǔdì (Chinese: 武帝) is Lord Guan (Chinese: 關帝). Although single temples to either the civil or martial god alone are widespread, it is comparatively rare to find temples venerating both. During the Ming and Qing dynasties, Wen Wu temples were patronised by those seeking success in the Imperial examinations, which were divided into civil and military examinations, and by those seeking advancement in professions which could be interpreted as falling under the aegis of one of the gods. Thus, to the present day, civil servants make offerings to the civil god, and policemen to the martial god.

It's so interesting place because there are so many different booths that you can have a look. If you are planning to grab some local souvenirs or some stuff back to your country, you can go around in this area. Also, the price is so reasonable. BTW if you are really good at bargain, this is the place that you would like.

A must do list in HK. Some section have been fixed with new stones but if you walk to the top, the stones are same as 133 years ago and still have the paving unevenly.

This is a Grade 1 historic location in the centre of Hong Kong. Pottinger Street (also known as Slab Street) was built in the 1850s and is basically a stone slab pedestrian street which slopes upwards using the contours of the natural land. As such, it is uneven and a bit awkward to walk without paying attention to the steps. Regardless, it is a neat historic attraction and an interesting place to take in during visits to the Central District. Along Pottinger, you'll find a handful of restaurants as well as stalls selling accessories, souvenirs, wigs, costumes and related holiday items (especially during Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival). You'll also be able to catch some street art that goes up on the building sides from time to time. Presently there is a new large scale painting of a historic streetscape view of Slab Street from the past. You can see it just south of the Wellington Street intersection.

Beautiful Temple lucky not to be swallowed up by the towering City around it. It’s located in a nice neighbourhood much quieter than the hub hub of the main City. We couldn’t last long inside due to the amount of smoke from incense burning, but it added to the atmosphere. Beautiful inside, a must visit.
