Ngong Ping Piazza

Tourist attraction

👍 Nice pathway that leads from the Ngong Ping Village to the Po Lin Monastary. You can tell you are heading here since you go under a larch arch. There are statues that line both sides of the piazza which are all different. The most interesting thing are the cows that are just standing around. People often mention Buddha,

It is so traditional place not only its architecture but also its sculpture. Besides, you are able to have a look this village, there are market, restaurants and souvenir shops. We did not come the right time due to heavy fog, so we didn't have a chance to see whole spectacular scenery. I will visit again if I travel in Hong Kong next time. If you are a traveler, this place is worth to visit and leaner about some Chinese culture.

Very scenic walkway with the twelve zodiac signs. Make sure you stop Midway on the path and take a photo with the gateway in the background!

Great place to take photos of the big Buddha. Heaps of stray cows around the place. Not sure why so many tourists want to take a photo with these cows.

Just the top cable car station with expensive souvenirs and eateries. A visit to the lantau conservation centre is interesting learning the history of lantau island.

It's a well-maintained square at the bottom of the Big Buddha stairs. It starts with the alley with the statues of 12 generals, each corresponding to Zodiak signs. At the later part of the day you can find wild cows roaming through the place and eating grass. They are very friendly and are not particularly interested in people. There are also several food stands near the square.

Well maintained square and at the bottom of the Buddha stairs is where you can buy meal donations.

Place is crowded and busy with many peoples visiting here. There are more stalls open around the Ngong Ping Piazza, it is nice to walk 250 steps up to the Buddha platform. Enjoy the scenery surrounding.

Intersection of Ngong Ping Village, Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. There is mini lotus garden in the center and some gateway. This area is also for bus stop dropping of passenger.
