We only walked a short part of the trail. We caught bus no 6 from City Hall and got off at the road leading to the Wing Nai CHUNG reservoir to Repulse Bay. The weather was cool, windy and wet, but it was beautiful. I'm sure the views would have been amazing if the weather was fine, but there is nothing like the damp earth smells of wet weather hiking. The way to the top is clearly marked. There are quite a lot of steps, but nothing compared to the steps on the way down. It would be a very steep hike, but on steps, if you came from Repulse Bay. At this time of year (February) the small indications of Spring are magical. Repulse Bay has plenty of trendy little bars and restaurants in front of the beach, if you are hungry afterwards, and the connections back to town are very good. Highly recommended. 3 to 4 hour trail depending on your pace. Comprise of the different section we did Sec 1 and 2 at same time and took almost 3.5 hrs. Expect tiredsome walk on man made steps on section 2 but you will be able to witness beautiful landscape, seas views, wild flower, reservior.

Truly beautiful trail which is not difficult yet offers great scenery. The hike is quite safe with mostly well maintained path. The view from the top of Violet Hill is quite amazing. It took us around 2 hours to hike from Parkview to Tai Tam reservoir.

Wilson Trail no. 1 & 2 is simply wonderful. You get both the great view along Victoria harbor, as well as the scenic view of Hong Kong south. But trying to finish 1&2 in one day can be quite exhausting. What I don't like is there are too many steps going up and down and up and down.

Starting from Stanley through The Twins and The Violet hill. Beware the up and down hills need sufficient labour not for the beginners. Nice views on the way and suitable for slope climbing purpose. Easy access and exit from either sides.

Amazed by the beautiful night view near the end of trail 2, but it takes great effort to climb up stairs in trail 1+2, the trails are all steps in majority, good for workout day!

Amazing hike as always. Bring extra water on a sunny day. Started from parkview. 2L would suffice. Recommend 2.5 to 3L on sunny day

Very good trail on Hong Kong island, beautiful scenery, distance and uphill can vary a lot depending where you exit.

Today was such a great day. With beautiful views of the city and the weather was just amazing for a hike. I hope that locals and tourists make time for this hike bc it's just so beautiful. Getting away from the business of the city is literally minutes away.

Bring torch along if intend to stay up for night scenery as the walk down can be very dark.
