Interesting nature oasis right in Admiralty. Free admission and empty during the week! You have to walk up a hilly slope to get there. Don’t stop at the first entrance as that’ll take you to a restaurant/bar and amphitheater. Go up a bit more and enter through the larger glass doors. A friendly girl at the front desk directed me up the elevator to the rooftop where you can stroll around and get a glimpse of the city from a new perspective. The nice breeze and chirping birds make for a tranquil setting.

Beautiful architecture and exhibition. I've joined a free English architecture tour and came out quite impressed. The architecture is quite stunning and it feels like a pocket of nature surrounded by towering buildings. I've visited an exhibition that was present at the time and it was very interesting. Obviously exhibitions are temporary so your experience might be different, but if you come just for the building you won't leave disappointed.

This is a great experience for me to find out the place all of a sudden. It is easy to go as it is just next to the British Embassy in Admiralty. A special photos exhibition showing Hong Kong in the old days is in progress and it will be finished at the end of September. You should be interested if you are in 40 to 50 of ages. There are guided tours at certain times daily and we should know more about Hong Kong after going.

Located in the heart of Admiralty is the Asia Society. Formerly a British ammunition bunker that has been transformed into a very cool and interesting space. Incredibly impressive. There are always a number of exhibitions taking place here and there is also a restaurant and gift shop. Take time to explore this space and all the buildings. By the way, the view is pretty good.

Beautiful heritage conservation work and contemporary architectural achievement in a difficult setting, in the very heart of Admiralty. A bright highlight of a significant part of Hong Kong's history. Exhibitions (indoor and outdoor) as well as live performances are of very good quality and take full advantage of the site and the buildings. AMMO, the restaurant, offers a very nice experience (food and service). Rush there (if you haven't already), possibly on a bright sunny day to best enjoy your visit.

We visited this beautiful venue for the Jazz concert organised by the US Consulate during the pandemic. It was just a few steps away from the British Council, and its marvellous banquet hall quickly captured our attention. The garden attached to it was quiet and relaxing, and it also provided a lookout for the busy area of Admiralty and Central.

Beautiful park architecture design with historical significance. Mix of modern and history. Do beware of mould inside the older buildings, as there’s no ventilation inside.

A magnificently restored early Colonial building originally used to house explosives (a magazine ) Tucked away next to Pacific Place, it's not well known but worth a visit. It has modern extensions for functions and an enjoyable café.

The art museum may be located in a remote area and require a long, steep walk to reach, but the peace and serenity of the environment make the journey well worth it. The beautiful, natural surroundings provide a perfect backdrop for the exceptional exhibits that the museum has to offer. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by works of art that are both unique and captivating, and the peaceful atmosphere of the museum makes it an ideal place to spend a few hours, taking in the beauty of the world around them. Despite its remote location, the art museum is a hidden gem that should not be missed, and those who make the journey will be rewarded with an experience that is truly unforgettable.

Randomly passed by this place amd found that there was an exhibition of Hong Kong old days photos. Really love this place as there was not much people and feel so relax to stay there. Never think of there would be somewhere like that in Central District. Love the exhibition and this place so much!!!

The Hong Kong chapter of the Asia Society Center (free entry) is found within the historic grounds of the former Explosives Magazine of the old British Victoria Barracks in Admiralty district. Opening hours are 11am to 6pm daily (closed Mondays). First this is an interesting heritage site and important link to Hong Kong early colonial and maritime history. The grounds include magazine rooms, laboratory and barracks built from as early as the mid 19th century and used until the 1980s. The grounds were refit for usage by the Asia Society Centre in 2005, adding modern architecture, sculpture garden and refitting several buildings into exhibition space. The sculpture garden in particular is true urban retreat and real surprise for those who manage to find their way here. Visitors are treated to contemporary sculptures, double decked bridge structure and excellent elevated views of the Admiralty skyline. You can see the harbour from here as well. The former magazine rooms now serve as exhibition space. Some incredible shows such as the Caravaggio and Dead Sea Scrolls exhibitions have been held here in the past. Recently we visited to view the "Story of Light" exhibition of prominent 20th century Hong Kong artist Hon Chi-fun (1922-2019), showcasing over 30 of his works spanning four decades. This is a nice opportunity to learn about this local artist and see a large collection of his works in a single location. Overall, we have been happy with the exhibitions held at the Asia Society Centre over the years. Often they are low key but at times, they are very good and worth making time to view even during shorter trips to Hong Kong. A visit to the Asia Society to view the historical buildings and spend time in the sculpture garden is something worth doing year round.

A beautifully executed adaptive reuse of a colonial-era armoury plus new construction of a multipurpose hall, rooftop garden and restaurant. The Asia Society hosts an impressive programme of arts and business seminars and movie screenings, as well as 2 to 3 exhibitions in the gallery every year. It is a must-see destination in Hong Kong, and with it's city-centre location, an easy place to visit again and again.

Great place to get away from the city a bit and check out interesting contemporary art for free! In a short walking distance from the metro you will feel like in nature. Have a bit of a rest from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong here and listen to the birds on the rooftop!

This is a revitalized & well preserved heritage colonial barrack not only showing well restored old buildings but also seamlessly blending in with modern architectural design. The old buildings show the unique design of British colonial buildings blending well with Chinese pottery tiles roof top. It’s not a dead museum but lively spot with conference halls, exhibition rooms, restaurant & offices. It’s conveniently located at the fringe of Admiralty which yet exhibits enough greenery as opposed to modern office buildings.
