The small but welcoming museum is inside University of Hong Kong and is just 1 min from metro exit! The most professional local geological exhibits on rocks, minerals, universe & earth formation and fossil groups - worth 30 to 90min visit depending on one's particular interest, and touches on climate change too

An interesting geology museum, showing how the Earth was formed from prehistoric times and has a very big rock and gemstone collection. There is also a earthquake tracker and fun children activities present. it is not very crowded and admission is free of charge. it can be easily covered within an hour.

A sweet two storied museum with a lot to offer! The ground floor was mainly focussed on horseshoe crab fossils, they were even rearing some live ones till they were ready to be released in local water bodies. The top floor had a great collection of minerals and metals, plus a history of rock formations. Best part was the dinosaur exhibit, they had some eggs and footprints of raptors and brachiosaurus along with a pterodactyl skeleton.

(Translated by Google) Hidden in the museum, collected from Lichee Village, Hong Kong Dasheng, found Jurassic fish fossils [Apple Daily News ] Xie Ziqi, a student of the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Hong Kong, had no intention to study the summer vacation of Liu, but found the hidden fossils of the University Museum. After identification, it was a fish fossil of the Jurassic era. It was proved that there were wuerzian wolf fins in Lizhizhi, Saigon. Fish (Paralycoptera), the first vertebrate fossil of the dinosaur era in Hong Kong. Xie Ziqi completed research, description and appraisal under the guidance of three professors. The research results will be published in the scientific journal PeerJ at the end of this month. [■ The fish fossils of the Jurassic era were collected in Lai Chi Chuang, Saigon. Profile picture] ■ The fish fossils of the Jurassic era were collected in Lichee Village, Saigon. Profile picture Pushing the front wolf fin fish This ancient fossil was collected hundreds of millions of years ago in Laizhi Village, Saigon. The area is part of the World Geopark. The fossils of the past were placed at the Xu Shifen Geological Museum of the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Hong Kong. In 2013, when the Hong Kong undergraduate student Xie Ziqi conducted a summer study, the fossil was found to be unusual. Later, he was instructed by Professor Wen Jiaqi, the assistant professor and assistant professor of the Institute of Earth Sciences at the Department of Earth Sciences of the University of Hong Kong, and Professor Zhang Miman, an expert from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. fish. Wu's deputy wolf fin fish was unearthed in Yongkang, Zhejiang Province. The fossil year was in the Early Cretaceous, about 110 million years ago. According to the online research paper, this discovery changed the scholar's understanding of Wu's deputy wolf fin fish, even Hong Kong. Lichee Village also discovered fossils and expanded the geographical range of the sub-wolf fin fish. This time, after the fossil identification, it was late Jurassic, that is, 147 million years ago, and the front wolf fin fish was at least 30 million years old. The research results will be published in the scientific journal PeerJ at the end of this month. The research documents indicate that fossils in Hong Kong may hide more research questions and answers. Hong Kong fossils can be the future research goal. Xie Ziqi graduated last year and will return to the University of Hong Kong to share his research experience next Tuesday. The study was published in the scientific journal PeerJ at the end of this month. The University of Hong Kong indicated that the undergraduate research ability is internationally recognized. Lichee is a world geological park. The history of rock strata can be traced back to the late Jurassic era, where fern fossils and wood fossils were found. Green Power Senior Environmental Affairs Manager, a single family member, has conducted ecological investigations in Lai Chi Zhuang many times. It has been found that in recent years, a large number of tourists flocked to Lichee Zhuang to watch rocks, and sometimes took rocks to take pictures. He cautioned that it was illegal to take away any rocks, fossils, minerals or sediment.

There are many real fossils and various rocks and ores from all over the world, and there are rocks more than two billion years ago. The transportation is convenient.
