This beautiful park is worth a visit. Spacious, nicely designed and well maintained. There is a smooth running track for the nearby residents to jog or run. There is also a pond with turtles and lotus flowers. Do bring your camera since there are scenes for you to take photos esp. in the Chinese themed Lingnan Garden inside the park. You will hear birds singing continuously and there is a great variety of them. This is a perfect place to sit, listen, and enjoy the serenity in this busy city.

What a place! Very well kept, beautiful traditional Asian architecture with details everywhere. A feast for the eyes and ideal to take photos. Great place for picnic, walking, exercising, sports facilities like tennis, soccer, and a huge skateboard park. Lots of verandas and benches. Very safe and covers many hectares of park next to residential apartments.

Beautiful park that has many areas to explore. And I love that we don’t see tall buildings around the park and really feel we are in the nature. There are many amenities here, including kids playground, leisure running track, skate park, amphitheater, and a beautiful Lingnan Garden that is worth visiting as well.

This place is so wonderful it takes your breath away! The walk to the Big Buddha and its majestic steps are a true journey. The surrounding areas are astonishingly beautiful as well. I definitely recommend visiting this marvelous place, full of history and incredible monuments. The cable car ride is fun and it is an experience you will never forget. This has definitely been a memorable experience - my pictures can tell a better story! Love this place.

The Statue of the 112 feet tall Big Buddha, constructed from 202 bronze pieces and 34 metres tall is a must visit when you visit Ngong Ping. It is visited through the year by a large number of tourists. Very peaceful and worth spending some time. The Buddha statue denotes the harmonious relationship between people and faith, set amidst the lap of nature. A total of 268 steps lead to Buddha. However, there is also a small road for vehicles etc. so that any one with a physical disability is also able to visit. Beneath the statue are three halls and there is a relic of Buddha inside which can be seen only by visitors who purchase an offering for the Buddha. Worth a visit totally!

Another wonderful destination!!!! Following a exciting cable car ride, you will be arriving at this island to witness the big magnificent Buddha. The place is pleasant and calm. Better not to travel on hot days but still you got considerable number of shops & restaurants to take breaks.. Very much worth to spend 4-6 hours in this island if your time permits. The place is very much clean & well maintained and it got it's own rules to follow as it's a spiritual place, but it's cool & easy to follow. Overall a good place.

It is one of the five great Buddha statues in China. The statue is seated on a lotus-shaped throne on a three-platform altar. It is surrounded by six smaller bronze statues known as "The Offering of the Six Devas" that offer flowers, incense, lamps, ointments, fruits, and music to the Great Buddha. These offerings symbolise charity, morality, patience, zeal, meditation and wisdom, all of which are necessary to enter nirvana. Po Lin Monastery and the Buddha are open to the public 10:00-17:45. Access to the outside of the Buddha is free, but there is an admission fee to go inside. Visitors can also see the monastery which serves as an international Buddhist retreat, and is one of the largest and best known in China.

Very disappointed as the Buddha is under renovation. Maybe my fault for not checking it out. The Cable car ticketing booth at least should have the courtesy to tell us about the ongoing renovation instead of us getting a huge surprise. Anyway, the 25 minutes ride on the crystal floor cable car make up for the renovation. Amazing view throughout the journey. Wisdom Paths is a short walk away and feel good to be there. With the Buddha, it will be perfect.

Beautiful, spacious park in the Lai Chi Kok area. Many places to play, sit, exercise, etc., including on real grass (a luxury, here in Hong Kong!). There are covered areas available in case it's too sunny outside or it begins to rain. I think you'll enjoy a visit here in this little oasis of nature.
