Hotel Ibis in Central Hong Kong is a decent choice for travelers who prioritize convenience and affordability. The minimalist room design may not be for everyone, but it's a common feature in many hotels, especially in crowded cities like Hong Kong. As you mentioned, the room size is on par with other medium-sized hotels in the area, so it's best to set your expectations accordingly. The hotel's location is a definite plus, as it's close to a bus stop from the airport and the airport express. It's also in the middle of Hong Kong Central, which means that you have easy access to many attractions, restaurants, and shops. The fast check-in time is always a welcome feature, especially for travelers who just want to settle in quickly and start exploring. Additionally, the stunning view of the harbor is a nice touch and can add to your overall experience. Finally, the price of the hotel is relatively reasonable, which is always a plus for budget-conscious travelers. Overall, Hotel Ibis in Central Hong Kong seems like a good choice for those looking for a convenient and affordable hotel in a prime location.

I've stayed here on multiple occasions in the last few years. This time I already knew which room I liked and mentioned this as a note during the order. Checking was super fast and my wishes were fulfilled, I didn't have to repeat it to the staff. This shows Ibis really cares about your preference, well done! Other than that - the room is pretty small, but clean and well equipped. You can make yourself a tea, or put something into a fridge. They also have a microwave at the reception. It's ok for solo travelers. The only thing I really don't like about this hotel is the TV. Just a few programs, most of them local stations. Should they upgrade those to smart TV, the whole experience will be much better.

Checkin was easy and took minutes, with the guest services agent thanking my for my loyalty, wishing me a happy birthday and advising red wine and a room upgrade had been offered to help me celebrate. The room was large, immaculately clean and had a beautiful view of the harbour. Rooms were soundproofed well with blackout blinds. Breakfast had a good variety of options and the coffee was decent. Breakfast staff were super friendly. Despite checking out on my birthday, the agent wished no happy birthday, nor did they offer any assistance in getting to the airport. This was the only substandard part of experience. Location wise, so easy to get to the MTR (less than five minute walk). The bus to the airport which is two minutes walk away is super convenient. Lots of cafes and bars around to enjoy. Have found a new regular hotel to stay in, much nicer than my old regular!

Good budget hotel with everything you would expect from a Select Service Hotel. As long as your expectations matches the price you are paying you will be happy with your stay. The room is a little tired, but functionally it totally meets needs. The breakfast buffet easily enough options for a nice filling meal.

They charge HK$5000 (€625) if you catch covid! We had to sign a contract for this or we had to find another hotel, but NOWHERE was this mentioned when booking! Absolutely outrageous. The room door let through a lot of sound, you could understand what people were saying in the hallway. For the rest the room was everything you need, view was pretty nice. The room was a bit dirty.

Reception staff not friendly at all and cannot speak proper Cantonese. However room is very nice and size is good at all with a nice harbour view. Last but not least we found some dirt and hair on the sitting chair which hotel needs to have more focus on the cleanliness and hygiene of the room !

I stayed here years ago on a visit to Hong Kong. I really enjoyed the room. The room was clean and the location was conveniently located near shops and restaurants. The closest metro was a 10 minute walk away - so very convenient. The views of the harbor were lovely as well. I would stay here again.

Asked for extra mattress for the hard bed but ran out of stock, asked for extra pillow and never came. Left a charger in the room after check out, called once and reception staff said no Lost & Found and that’s it, did not want to try and seek options, understood a charger is not that valuable to the hotel. Then wanted to call again and see if any chance after other guests stayed the same room, but reception staff cut the line immediately without saying anything after picking up, then called again and no one ever picked up anymore.

Hotel is in good area. Metro and buses round the corner. Rooms are very small but it is typical for area. Plenty of shops and quite a few restaurants. Close to local ferry. Currently under refurbishment which is very good for future. You can leave your luggage for longer after check out. Restaurant available and nice one with international food just Next to hotel. I ca recommend for a night or two. Might be difficult for longer periods in such a small rooms.

The food are quite delicious. The burger is a surprise for me, didn't expect they have a such a good burger there. The patty is juicy and bud is tasty too. The chips are crispy and hot. The spaghetti is delicious, the seafood are better than we normal have for a seafood spaghetti. The Japanese style pancake is ok (I am a super fan for dessert generally) The price is a bit expensive though, $513 all three dished combined. The food are good but not to the level of $500 in my opinion. If it is a hundred dollars cheaper, I would give it a 5 star.

Ibis Tseung Wan Heart of Hong Kong near Central district. I was surprised the room is quite spacious for HK standard. The room is equipped with a LG 55 inch TV with most of the English news channels. The room has everything including a kettle, free teas/coffee, safety box, knives/ forks/spoons, microwave oven, midsize fridge with a real freezer section to keep ice cream. A very nice clothes cabinet with a clothes hanger. Dual voltage shaver outlet is very useful. You do need a British to North American power plug adapter if you are using a North America laptop. Now this room is not a bargain then again this is a prime location and it's HongKong. At 200USD you get what you pay for.

I recently stayed and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The hotel offered basic amenities such as a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and free Wi-Fi, which met my needs as a budget traveler. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and always willing to answer any questions I had. The hotel's location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and nearby attractions. Although the room was not very spacious and lacked some of the luxury amenities found in higher-end hotels, it was still clean and comfortable. The decor and furnishings were simple but functional, and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. In terms of value for money, I think it is a great option for budget-conscious travelers. While it may not offer the same level of luxury as a 5-star hotel, it still provides a comfortable and convenient stay at an affordable price. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option that still offers a comfortable and welcoming stay.

Room space and bed is okay. Water heater, water boiler and the Air con is broken. Water heater takes too long to heat up and its ice cold. Water boiler has some problem as it doesn't turn on no matter where I plug that tray like thing so I went to Starbucks instead. Air con, it gives out cool air but the heater op doesn't work. Rest is okay. P.s the toilet look like the public toilet for the disabled.

I stayed at IBIS Sheung Wan for 1 month in mid-end of 2022. This is one of the worst IBIS to stay at: 1. Rooms were dirty. They were so dirty that I had to request them to change the room as soon as I enter. 2. There was mold in the room. I have been having rhinitis/sinus issues since stay at that hotel. 3. Hotel staff was rude and disrespectful. I had to keep my door open at night because of breathing issues and the staff was so rude about it. 4. The Air conditioning system is ineffective and keeps on re-circulating old air.

Very good location but rooms are so small, you cannot even open your luggage. Bathroom is also tiny, with the bare minimum space. We stayed there 5 days and it was very uncomfortable. Also, at the reception the service is slow. For that price, it’s a no.

Less 1 star just for room conditions which I think can be improved in certain areas and but about staff and service is 5 star! The lady at breakfast 6F had happy face and very attentive though it was self service buffet like someone dropped spoon and she rushed to pick it up - also you know its like first face we see after waking up when going to breakfast so it ruins your day if it is not well but in this case, kudos to her for being passionate about her job! Rest staff also good, I tagged DND so they didnt disturbed but also called to confirm if I need anything or room keeping which was thoughtful.

I was in ibis on the 21st. I had a really nice room with an amazing sea view. But the 1 star for service goes out to the cleaner who came knocking on my door and asking me to let them spray the bathroom. That was really ridiculous. Out of all the floor and rooms in the entire building, they had to come knocking on my door while it's already obviously occupied. Also they tried to open the door without any permission whatsoever even when I told them just wait for a minute. Please teach them some rules and manners

Good trade off between location and price. Rooms are tiny and humble but at the price and considering location it’s very reasonable. Staff were very nice and helpful. Currently some construction going on but still easy to navigate it. Recommended it.

Well located, rooms a little but dirty but in this case you pay to be close to the Central. For those who cannot stand a little bit if dust in the corner, I suggest to reconsider staying here.

The hotel is very well located within walking distance, namely ding ding tram, bus, MRT and A11 airport bus stations. The 5th floor reception also has the water dispenser for whoever need to refill their drinking water. We walk a lot to the nearby attractions and restaurants and enjoyed our stay here. Will come back again.

Typical ibis hotel. Clean, convenient. Very strategic. Famous dim sum restaurant, 7-eleven are less than 100m from hotel. Many restaurants and groceries stores nearby. Feeling hungry after 10pm? There is queen food center nearby. Around 300m walking to get to bus to airport (A11).

The room is a bit small but super clean and the bed was comfortable. Good location and an easy walk from the train station. The view was amazing, with an overlook of Hong Kong city. Would stay here again.

Stayed here as it was cheap and centeral to my needs . Rooms have great view if you pick the harbor ones above 20/f. They are very small (less than 20 sq m) , air conditioned but no window can be opened. Service is great , super clean here and looks new (Aug 2023). Daily water bottles supplied, There is a small fridge and a small shower . Breakfast is reasonable and fresh .

Superb location and comfortable room on the 29th floor. Reception need to be trained better as requests for taxi and sewing kit seemed to be ignored. Housekeeping on the other hand was much more helpful. All in all a great place to stay.

We had an unbelievable view from our hotel window. There was a sign in the hotel offering mattress covers for extra comfort but every day when we called we were told there were none available

I had great stay here. Though rooms are small, just enough space for me for 5 days. Service all right. Wish only for draft beers at the bar. Very good value overall.

It's a deal for staycation package. However, is not quiet worth at normal price. Since it's announced to go end of business and convert to resident building soon, it's still worthwhile taking one last visit. Management have heart running the business during COVID-19 compared with other hotel.

An average hotel and a cheaper option than some of the others in the area. Beds pretty hard and pillows too, depends on your priorities, but a solid choice if you're willing to accept these compromises.

What i don't appreciate from this hotel are: 1. The staff seems to be ignorant. I asked for a shower cap but it never delivered. And then for the mattress topper which also ended the same... 2. The bed was somehow firm even though the brand is Simmons -not very comfortable to me... The rests are OK...

It's ok. Location is good but that not a big deal in a centralized place.like HK.

Satisfactory service. Unimpressive rooms. Superior price for what you get. Relatively clean but at this price point, you're supposed to only stay in the room when you need some sleep.

Price, location and room size this hotel is quite good. The mattresses are incredibly hard but they will fit a topper to your bed if requested. WiFi works well average 15-20 Mbps. Noise can travel between rooms a bit and the lifts are a worse for wear. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

The location of the hotel is good. Being on the 27th floor, the harbour view was just partially blocked by the roof of the opposite building. The bathroom wasn't clean properly and lots of hair was found on the floor from the previous occupant.
