Value for money Mother’s Day Staycation Package! We were upgraded free to top floor with nice views. The Chinese dim sum afternoon tea set is especially suitable for elderly and the restaurant is super spacious and comfortable. The staffs at restaurant and hotel are all very friendly, especially the front desk is fast and informative. The room not big but enough in HK’s standard, clean with nice views, and they immediately allow us for late check out. Overall we’re very satisfied with our stay.

Maybe my expectation is too high since I stayed at many 4-star Hilton hotels before and I thought this one is about the same quality. But it's definitely not a 4-star hotel to me. The quality may be just slightly better than some motels in the US. That's why I gave 2 star rating to everything. The location is about 10 min walk from all the bus stops and subway station. It's not far but not close either. The room feels old and very basic. The service is just ok not fantastic. The breakfast is too basic. However, this hotel is not cheap at all. The price is only slight cheaper than Harbour Grand Kowloon, which is so much better in terms of location, amenities, breakfast and services. So the performance/price ratio for this hotel is quite poor. Just add a little bit money and stay at another 5-star hotel. This Hilton is not the same Hilton in other cities at all. Avoid and don't waste your money.

Checked in at 4:30pm but room not ready until 6:35pm. And they refused to offer me the same hours for later check out to compensate the missing hours. Room has strong moldy and smoke smell on non smoking floor. And smell of cooking breakfast in the morning. Kitchen must be around. All of my personal belongings absorb these smell when I back home. Swimming pool is not opened despite all other hotel's pool had been opened for 3 weeks already when epidemic goes down. Floor tiles are very slippery inside the shower cubicle. Totally unexpected on the name of Hilton and spoil my staycation plan. I stayed at hotel very often and never experienced any worsen >: (

I’ve stayed here a few times and this was my first time after re-opening and it was disappointing. Service declined a lot, rude checkin, breakfast was poor to say the least, worn out furniture and in general it was just a very poor experience what it used to be. Please clean at least the lobby and the windows.

This is definitely not a hotel worthy of the Hilton brand. I had a most unpleasant experience here. The housekeeping staff threw away my makeup remover pads and facial cleanser! After I called the service line to tell them about it, they sent a staff Henry to my room to ‘help’ me. Throughout the incident, he claimed there was no evidence to show that the staff had thrown my items away and no apology from him as well. What evidence did he expect to find???? To add insult to injury, he said he’d buy me the replacement items out of his own pocket, I waited an hour, went down to the reception to find him there and he gave me a roll of tissue papers and said it was a ‘little gift’ from him! That ‘little gift’ was not sent to my room and again, no apology from him. There is a difference between a makeup remover pad and tissue paper, basic knowledge. As I’ve told him, if he could not or did not want to solve the problem, a simple apology would be better than his sarcastic and condescending attitude. I know those are not expensive items but to a weary and tired traveller, after a long day out, those are essential items. This hotel is not conveniently located, on our 2nd night, the bathroom body cleansing foam and tissue papers were not replenished. On the 3rd night, the above incident happened. I can only pray for no more rude shocks tomorrow, our last night here. I strongly would not recommend this hotel to anyone. With lousy service, poor location and bad housekeeping, think twice before you book.

Staff at the front desk are nice and cheerful. Room is a little old but acceptable. Flushing water is mud color, because they use sea water? Not sure. There was bad smell gas every time when flushing even with the toilet cover down. Soundproof of the room is not so good. I could still hear noise from the next room. But not too disturbing. Based on the price, I still think it’s still a high CP hotel. And the location is convenient (than you thought). For breakfast, it is nothing worth to say. You should skip it. And find something good or special in Mongkok.

Nice lobby, clean rooms, high water pressure showers. There is not a lot around the hotel besides a mall and a small park. Staff were friendly and the facility seemed clean. Nice view from the upper floors. However the elevator is very slow during peak hours so be prepared.

I admittedly booked this hotel based on the Hilton name alone, but no part of this hotel encompasses the normal Hilton standard. The staff were very friendly, but that is the only positive thing to report. They were always trying to do their best and helped accommodate my change in schedule and inability to modify my online booking. Unfortunately the hotel itself is not great. Although I did feel safe staying alone. The shower is Luke warm water at best and the rooms are very humid. So much so that after talking with the staff I was able to get a dehumidifier sent to my room. This is the only thing that made the stay manageable. I emptied out a very large bucket of water twice a day, that is how humid the rooms are. You can hear your neighbors in the middle of the night either yelling or moaning, but the dehumidifier helped drown that sound also! The hairdryer cannot be plugged into the bathroom outlets and the buffet was overpriced for what it was. The rooms are musky, dirty, stained and simply disgusting. I cannot stress enough how gross the walls, carpet and every inch of these rooms truly are. I would highly recommend booking elsewhere. 2/5 stars is only because of the employees that I didn’t give less

Just checked in. Rooms are small as expected but clean and neat. Service was fine. The front desk guy hardly said a word during check-in. (No acknowledgment of membership status as they do in several other Hiltons I’ve been at). Location is central yet not too noisy. We’ll see the coming days.

The hotel is just ok. Air conditioning at 25c turns the room into 19c overnight. Can notice the bathrooms need renovation.

Came here for lunch with family. Great dim sum variety with traditional authentic options. The signature char sui was very juicy. The prawn toast was incredible. My kids favorite were the mango pudding sago. The mango were nice and fresh, no artificial flavors 🤤🤤🤤🤤. Great ambience and not crowded with tourist. The extra plus was that the venue was very spacious so our kids had room to move around during lunch (our kids can’t sit still).

A nice and convinient 4-star hotel, near both Tung Chung Line and TW Line with nice cityview rooms. The hotel staffs are professional and efficient.

Friendly and very helpful staff, spoke great english. They treat premier members extra well. Room was excellent, not much of a view in this area though. Breakfast was a great mix of western and eastern styles, always full buffet items. Location is not perfect, its about a 10-15 min walk to get to a bus or subway. Area is working class, not touristy. Rooftop pool looked awesome, but is closed.

Great services from front desk and also at the Chinese Restaurant. Good location with adequate space in the room. I like the provided bottle water, slippers, tooth brush and bath products. It maybe helpful if hotel web site provides more clear direction and a map from MTR station to hotel because is it not far at all if you know the correct direction. Hotel can be more transparent about a hold of fund on credit card for quite a few days even if booked hotel with points. I was informed that it costs money when check out to make local calls within Hong Kong, which was a surprise to me, but the staff was nice and waived the fees, which I appreciate. Overall, great experience! :)

There's a bit of a walk to the main shopping street. You have to walk a few blocks that mainly house hardware and equipment stores. The rooms look dated and need a makeover. Also, the rooftop pool was closed while I was there. I'd say it was an average experience.

Rooms are clean. Gym is small but adequate, however, towels were not replenished until I called them. Breakfast was a disappointment, the spread is limited and food quality is barely acceptable. Restaurant employees should check with customers first before clearing the plates on their tables, basic service courtesy. Clearing plates without checking with customers is rude.

This would be my first and last stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok. Rooms smelt musty (like a lingering smell of cigarettes) and the air conditioning was at a permanent 18-18.5 degrees Celsius (I couldn’t get it adjusted up). The gym was the size of a small bedroom, with no real workout space. The 3 stars here go to the staff (front desk and housekeeping) who were generally helpful and tried to make my stay more pleasant. They just couldn’t really help what was unfortunately a rather tired hotel. Location wise the hotel is a 7-8 mins walk from the closest MTR station. It felt safe to walk that distance during the day but I wouldn’t feel safe to do that at night as the neighbourhood feels a little bit rough.

Rooms are very small, bit run down but clean + the house keeping is doing a good job. + the food at breakfast is okay. + location is good, 10min walk to next subway or 30 min walk to ICC - Swimming pool is closed up from 15. Nov - I don’t know why, but other reviews mentioned it was closed before. - gym is super small, no sauna or steam - Hospitality at breakfast is horrible - at exactly 10 am at least 10 people start to clean up around you - very noice and they interfere your personal space without even asking. No „Good Morning“ or something when you arrive. I would not consider to visit their restaurant after the experience at breakfast. - The carpet in hotel makes it hard to move your luggage Would not comeback … the price is to high for the provided accommodation and services.

Very good hotel in Hong Kong. Close by many shopping options, subway and restaurants. The room are clean, big and with all the appropriate devices such coffee machines, iron and hair dryer. The hotel doesn't provide power wall adapters, so make sure to bring one or buy in one of the thousands stores close by the hotel.

  • 3/5 Stephen R. 7 months ago on Google
It's a good hotel. It's not really close to any MTR stations so you have to walk 10 to 15 minutes to get on them. If you are like me then you will already have a soaked shirt in this time. Rooms are comfortable and water is given daily. My only complaint is that if you turn up at 10am for breakfast (not unreasonable when you are jetlagged) at 10:01 all the food disappears in a flash. Would be nice to have 15 minutes to have your first and second plate and then let them clear it away..

Stayed here for a week for work, the room always felt damp, it was clean, but I had trouble sleeping because it was just so humid - even in the room with air conditioning on. We did arrive the day of the typhoon, so that may have had something to do with it. But even on day five it was no better. The breakfast was mediocre as well, I expected more out of Hilton. After just spending a week in Singapore at the Hilton, I was sadly disappointed here. The people were really good, and I was able to do my laundry very conveniently! The hotel is conveniently, located downtown, easy, walking to the ferry to Hong Kong Island, the ladies market, as well as the busy streets of Kowloon.

The place smells. It's far away from Hilton's standered across the globe. Rooms are tight. Breakfast didn't have much choices. Also not very flexible in regard to checking in and out timing. No view

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at this hotel. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The housekeeping lady was very polite and sweet, greeted us every morning with a lovely smile. Winnie at the front desk made our check in a breeze and Chris very kindly helped us called for a cab when we were ready to head to the airport and told us to wait in the lobby for our cab, It’s all these little things, nice and kind people that makes us want to keep coming back to this hotel. Location wise, it’s just a 5 mins walk to Langham place with the MTR at their basement, I love how the hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of Mongkok on Soy street. There is a wonderful tiny little shop next to the hotel that serves lovely smooth coffee as well, reminded me of the % arabica coffee from Japan; do give them a try! And lastly, love the Peter Thomas Roth bath and shower products that the hotel provides for their guests!

Never waste your money on this overpriced hotel. We live here for three nights. On the second night, we ordered two bottles of water and they were never delivered. The streets around the hotel is dirty and smelly, I saw a lot of dead cockroaches on the sidewalk.

I had stayed at Eaton Hotel whenever i am in Hong Kong. After gaining Silver Status from a Credit Card promo, I have decided to give Hilton a try whilst in Hong Kong. The location is much closer to all the restaurants than Eaton yet located in an area where it actually quietens down at night. The doorman was on point to open the doors for guest but did not offer to help with luggages. The check-in process was a breeze, and the welcome by check-in staff was warm. The room was clean, looks well maintained and the soaps smell nice. After 2 nights, i checked out and to my horror, i left a buddhist amulet behind, only to realise after i touched down in Singapore. In the end, I managed to DHL my amulet back to Singapore, and at this point, I want to thank Ms Winnie, Mr Joseph, Mr Ben Lam for going through the trouble to locate my lost item, safekeeping it and packing it up nicely to handover to DHL. The several layers of bubble wrap illustrates how careful and sincere the team was, about ensuring the item was not damage in transit. Winnie provided excellent service to update me via phone calls and emails about what they have done and assured me that they will do their utmost to help me. From now onwards, I will always return to Hilton Garden Inn Mongkok whenever i am in Hong Kong. Thank you.

Decent hotel. Fairly new so the rooms and bathrooms are modern and in good condition. There seems to be a bit of an issue with humidity building up in the room though. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, if you're just looking for a decent hotel to sleep in, this will do the job nicely. Onto the other details, and that's where the hotel could be better: -Location: this is somewhere around a 5-10 minute walk to the Mong Kok MTR station. Getting there requires you to cross through a number of the older streets in Mong Kok that don't look too great. Wouldn't be great to make a trek here on the MTR with luggage either. But Nathan Rd is only 5 minutes away, much more respectable looking, and will have plenty of shops and other things. -Breakfast: currently the breakfast is three options that can be ordered (Western, HK style, or vegetarian). They come with an entree (that is changed from time to time) along with some congee and other things that can be self-served at a small buffet. If ordering takeaway (like if you are under some kind of restrictions like the 0+3 arrangement currently in place) this will just be packaged up for you. Interestingly, I asked for a vegetarian breakfast one day and was given a congee with seafood on it. The flavor of the breakfast is ok at best. I'd probably skip it and go to any of the local eateries. I have had far better breakfasts elsewhere in Asia, even at Hilton Garden Inns, so this was a disappointment. -Fitness center: pool was completed closed off as of the writing of this review. otherwise, it looks like it would be nice. The fitness itself is a paltry selection of a few cardio machines, a dumbbell rack, and a cable machine. Don't expect to get much done here.

The reception area and the room is pretty, Crabtree & Evelyn bath sets are provided. The bed is comfortable, and the transport is convenient. The air con is exceptionally cold and it’s difficult to change the room temperature, I want to change 21C to 25C , but after setting, throughout the night, it has NEVER changed!!! Luckily, it’s now pandemic, I have brought masks so I wore a mask to sleep. Otherwise I will get asthma and insomnia. It’s just ridiculous!

Nestled on the edge of Mongkok, this little Hilton Garden Inn provides the perfect staging post for exploring the bustling streets Kowloon. Despite checking in during the raging climax of a ravenous typhoon, the staff checked me in right away. Within minutes I was tucking into the Queen-sized bed on my small little corner room. Small, but most definitely cozy. It was a squeeze despite being alone. I had to requisition the desk draw to create extra space for my portable office setup, but the chair and bed were comfortable as I watched the rains cascade down outside my window. Not much of a view out of that window, but the pleasurable décor inside the room was enough to keep me happy. I sampled all 3 breakfast options: Chinese, Western continental, and vegetarian. The Chinese option was great, always arriving hot and full of flavor. The vegetarian and the continental were very disappointing, however. Both were cold (waffles for the former; eggs for the latter) resulting in me filling up on toast those mornings. Dinner was much better, with the pork and soup of the daily really hitting the mark. Overall, it had a pleasant 6-night stay, and so will you. Just... avoid the breakfasts. You'll fair better finding your morning snack down the street at one of the many local restaurants.

I have to say I was quite impressed with this Hilton property. The lobby in the hotel was upscale and clean, the man checking me, Henry, was very helpful and kind. He was accommodating with a great demeanor and attitude with a smile on his face, always. Henry upgraded me to a higher room with a view and offered free breakfast with my Hilton Gold status. Tommy was also great at the front desk and quite kind offering help with the fitness center! The hotel is a fantastic value for the quality of the hotel. Wifi worked quite well, breakfast was alright, but can’t complain since it was free! Would recommend this hotel. Great location in Mongkok, too! My only complaint is the carpet in my room had a few stains, but that’s!

Staying at the Hilton Garden Inn was an excellent choice for me because it is located in an area where you can explore the "real" Hong Kong. It is close to a street market, to Nathan Road, to the Metro, to the minibus station, and to many great restaurants. Also, it is conveniently located in between many must-see sights for visitors to Hong Kong. Customer service at this hotel was superb. They were friendly and very accommodating to my needs, and the rooms are clean, spacious, and modern. I would definitely come back to this place.

  • 4/5 Christopher R. 1 year ago on Google
Although the hotel could do with a bit of window cleaning, the rooms are comfortable and in good order (bathrooms are looking a bit tired, though). Food options are limited and catering mainly for Chinese taste, although a number of overseas travels appear to be staying. The area is first rate for food options, so it's not really a problem. If you are not a super early waker, then going out for youe breakfast may be better, as the available options in the hotel are quite basic.

I had generally bad experience here. My facial cream was stolen during the cleaning service - this is the only kinda expensive thing I left in the room during absence. The manager Mr Zheng told me he could not help me when the cleaning lady denied what she did. But she told him that she wore gloves while doing my room - alright, thank you for letting me know that I can still use the rest of the cream (?!) Also, my bed (left one) has bedbug. My legs became allergic. When I changed to another hotel, the allergic action did not show again. The reception service is however, fast and good.

All very helpful & friendly staffs! Have had a very comfortable 6 days stay. The room size is ok, it’s in Hong Kong afterall. Clean and tidy! They have self-service laundry, which is very convenient when you stay there long. The restaurant Eagle’s Nest, the breakfast is ok. Hotel location is also good, at Mongkok but not really in the center of Mongkok. Which means when you want to go shopping, eating, wandering around the city, it’s just around 6mins walk away. When you want to be relax, some quiet time, you can just go back to the hotel side. Around 10mins walk, you can reach to the Olympic Station to get to the airport easily. Would like to take this chance to thank Joey and the team again from the concierge. Thanks for all the helps!

great Oasis in HK Kawloon area, for Americans to explore what this densely populated region. And OASIS I mean away from HK island's commercial centric bias, overpriced restaurants, food and shopping. Kawloon is where ordinary HKese live, food is more interesting, reasonable in price, well in fact all prices including hotel is more down to earth. It is also near the subway station, so you can go everywhere, HK island, airport all from right there.

Solid spot for a simple stay or business trip Rooms clean with several convenient outlets, multiple (though small) tables, big bathroom and shower, 3 VERY fast elevators. Some furniture and bathroom areas very dated but not a problem Wifi is finicky and needs a few refreshes or hitting “Use without network” on iOS to setup initially, but was a solid 30-50 Mbps during our stay Small but adequate gym with pulleys in corner and full small dumbbell set, though pool closed Breakfast buffet very diverse with Cantonese, fresh continental choices, and fresh ground coffee, definitely better than local options in 2022-2023 Multilingual staff very friendly and helpful across the board Very likely will be back for business, maybe leisure too
