Do not book this hotel expecting great hospitality, they imitate guests after talking to you and make fun of you. It’s shocking to be treated this way. I hope the management knows that the guest pays for the hotel room and does not stay for free. They haven’t even bothered to assist with the luggage on checking in, we had to find someone to do that. You can hardly find a smile on the management people here. Everyone seem to be rude. The location and the rooms are great. When asked for a late checkout, much to my surprise they said they are booked fully and then quickly said we could pay for it as well. Myself being a hospitality pass out had never seen such a bad guest service in my entire life. I would rather prefer a stay where I am welcomed with respect and treated right. I hope the management can train their staff to be respectful to other guests and not just be respectful to the local guests.

Returning customer who will no longer return. Opted for the foodie escape staycation package. Food was decent and nice, except being a bit late & the in-room dining dept rejected my breakfast order on my first call because they insisted every breakfast item is on the door-hanger menu which is definitely not the case. All three breakfast dishes I ordered were not found on it. So please at least know your own menu. What’s more? Despite being able to order food on my second call, the order was missed the next day morning. Wonderful. Room is old and stinky as stated in other comments too. I recommend giving the harbour view windows some cleaning too.

I was holding my dog and passing through the lobby, not knowing that the hotel does not allow dogs to pass through as the hotel is situated inside a pet friendly shopping mall. I would have left immediately if staff approach explaining the situation in a professional manner. Instead, the staff on duty, Sunny, approached with his hands right up at my chest blocking the way and was trying to push me out of the lobby while I was just 50m away from the entrance and then told me that pets are not allowed . His sudden act terrified my puppy immediately and was utterly rude. My wife was shocked as she was behind me but didn’t understand what was going on as well. All this happened in just 30 seconds of entering the hotel lobby. I sincerely believe that he could’ve explain the situation before using body language which was completely unnecessary. He even asked me to complain if I’m not happy about it without a second thought that he could’ve handled it in a more professional manner. Thus, here I am, writing this complaint wondering if the hotel agrees this is the right way to greet guests at your hotel. As your staff, Sunny, makes it sounds like the hotel strongly supports his rude actions by using his hands to warn guests in the very first place. I hope other pet owners or customers visiting the hotel would not have to go through such a bad experience. I do expect a reply from the hotel to clarify if this is only one bad experience from a single staff member or if it applies to the hotel group.

My stay at Marco Polo Hongkong hotel is a massive disappointment. Other than its location, there's not much reason to stay at this hotel. The first impression of the room was not nice, especially considering the price. The room smelled humid and unpleasant, it smells like there was mould hidden behind walls. The carpet was not clean with visible stains and the same goes to the bathroom. Some of the metal decorations in the bathroom were rusty. Furnitures in the room look like they were abused and scratchy. The TV should be in a granny flat than a 4-star hotel. The worse of all is the security of the hotel. Notably, cash in my backpack was stolen in the room and the room cleaning staff is highly suspicious. We returned to the room one day with 3 extra bottles of water on top of the standard of 2 bottles. After we left the hotel and arrived in Japan, we realised all of our Japanese Yen were missing. Our bags were next to us all time since leaving the hotel till arriving Japan and the cash is stored in 2 layer of protection. So it's very unlikely that our Yen got nipped during our transit. We called the hotel and they confirmed by CCTV and room card entry record that only us and the room cleaning staff had entered our room during our stay. I don't like pointing fingers but all hints lead to a suspected case of thievery at the hotel. I'd gladly take it as my fault if my room was broken it. But it is unacceptable for the hotel staff to have done such actions. It is a truly disappointing experience staying at Marco Polo Hongkong hotel. Regrettably, I had to give this hotel a one-star rating despite its close proximity to attractions, great food and drinks. I paid far less for another hotel in Hong Kong when I returned from Japan and honestly the other hotel is far nicer. While this hotel has a prestigious brand, it is just not worth it.

Room 1702 has no harbour view, smelled old and moldy. Carpet was dirty. Closet smelled really old, like an antique shop. Bed was hard, pillows were very inferior. Bathroom was moldy, too. Hot water was strong though. Buffet breakfast was sad. Not 5-star quality anymore. This hotel needs major renovation. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Don't bother going here for a staycation. They clearly are so disorganized, they can't cope with an influx of people. You would think that a lack of business during the pandemic would push them to get in gear, but no. I have paid for a 24 hour stay, why am I spending 3 HOURS of it waiting in line due to your poor organisation? Why don't you stagger check in times to make it more manageable? Set up more desks? Do SOMETHING? Worst experience ever, you don't even get this in peak season in Thailand. Pull your fingers out, absolutely ridiculous. We were also told the dinner included in our package can only be served between 9pm and 10pm. What??? Not only is that pretty late for dinner to be served, but it is now 10:07pm as I am writing this, and I am STILL waiting. Am I in prison? I have also been told I MUST go to breakfast at 7 and I only have an hour. Worst experience ever, thanks for ruining everything. Oh and to make it better, I got some copy and paste reply from some staff member (I assume a more senior one?). It isn't hard to check their replies to other people who have complained in order to see they've simply copy and pasted the exact same thing to them. Pretty poor and pathetic.

I was intrigued by its brand name before, but now I know not to stay in the same again due to its old room design and hotel facilities. We bought superior room but was assigned an almost no view room, and bed was hard to lie on. The room and the washroom need renovation, the smell of the closet is terrible too. Staff were friendly and helpful, came rush to help us carry out baggages since they do not have elevator but stairs. Location is good only for those who would buy high end signature brands but not to the others who need 15 minutes to walk to the train station, so for the airport bus stop.

My stayed for 15 days. Pros: Room is spacious with bathtub and strong water pressure. Location is good, next to Harbour City. Cons: Does not make up your room daily, only change towel and clear rubbish. Need to hang 'make up my room' at the door if not housekeeping will stay away. Only do weekly massive housekeeping. Internet is very weak. Swimming pool not available. Overall, I don't think they should rate as a 5 star hotel with such service.

Terrible experience at Marco Polo Hotel. Dinner. We ordered in-room dining at 6:30pm and asked for it to come at 8pm. At 8.25, after many attempts to call, someone picked up and said they would check. We heard nothing back and called again at 8:50 who again, said they would check and call back. This time they did call back which was better than previously, at 9pm, and food arrived at 9:10. One dish was left out too long and was cold, while the other was warm but way too salty. Did I mention it was served with takeaway plastic utensils? Brunch. When we called the in-room dining number, no one picked up. We called front desk and placed our order for a specific available timeslot. This time it only arrived 10 minutes late; guess our expectations on timeliness are now benched pretty low. The fries on the dish were cold and soggy. It also came via a tray, so we had to eat on a small coffee table. Room in general was spacious enough. Not much available on TV. Note the mini fridge has no freezer compartment. In general, while I understand they may have a lot of bookings; the hotel should know way in advance the bookings they have, and to cater to that capacity, be it check in staff, kitchen staff, or simply staff answering the phone. Judging from other comments on google reviews, this issue has persisted for a while now, and still not been addressed. The hotel may have earned money in the short run through running "deals" and "offers", but it has harmed the brand in the long run with its poor service and customer experience.

Every food we ordered for room service for 2nights were tasted like frozen food just made it hot (I’m not even exaggerating!) so we ordered delivery but when it delivered to downstairs, the concierge didn’t call us to inform that they received it. So it’s just sit there for 20mins without our notice. Worst of all, we complained that our food got cold, the concierge said “it’s delivery man’s fault, he told us that they called you already”. The concierge didn’t even apologize and kept saying it’s delivery man’s fault. What a mess. That made us even more unpleasant. It was been much better just to apologize. What’s the point of concierge service. I guess he just sits there to harm the guest. You’ll get this kind of service when you stay at harbour view deluxe room. Hope they will grade up their service quality in future. To be really honest it was the worst service than any hotels we’ve stayed for last 5hotels in Hong Kong. (We just stayed 5 HK hotels lately so which means the worst though)

The hotel is very dated. The room smells and also the bathroom smells like urine. Further you can see stains and fungus everywhere in it. The hotel room really needs some renovations. I feel more like I have been staying in a 3 star hotel than a 5 star. :(

Paid more than US$300 to be upgraded to a Continental Club room, only to realise that the 18th floor room was not serviced by any elevator. Imagine lugging your heavy baggage up a flight of stairs! Sure, the room was relatively large but the carpet was dirty and stained, the furniture and fittings were old and musky, the ceiling was low, the window opened to a ‘great’ concrete view of other hotel rooms, and worse, the aircon vent was leaking. I truly felt like I was staying in a cheap three star hotel from the early 90s! Absolutely disappointed with this supposed 5 star hotel!

What I like about this hotel was the food. I was surprised of the buffet and the service. It also has some neighboring shops next to this place and it is a very nice hotel. I would rate this a five if the Wi-Fi service was better than usual because it was below 10 MBPS so I had to use a hotspot. Overall, this hotel is quite nice and is highly recommended for tourists.

The whole hotel staying experience was awful. The staff were clearly not enough to support the business. I went to check in around 4~5pm, and I have to wait for an hour until somebody handling the check in. Also, the 3 out of 4 dinner time slots were already fully booked when I just finished check in. I have to ask the staff to squeeze me in an hour earlier slot, otherwise, I have to wait until 9pm to get my dinner, which I believe it’s a late night snack instead of a dinner. What’s more, the dinner still arrives later than the time slot, and the hotline has to wait up to 15 mins until somebody pick up the call, which your staff just told me to wait not any immediate handling. On top of that, the room I booked through klook has upgraded to delux room, which should be one king bed, yet your staff has arranged two single bed and combine into one which is totally unacceptable. Not until 30 mins, the staff changed another room for us, with much smaller space and a toilet with poor hygiene and a paper inside. The whole experience made me felt like poorly treated and not valued, as same as your hotel “5 stars” reputation. All waiting time made me feel the hotel not care about customer booking and seems did not reserve proper rooms and resources. Hopefully there will be obvious improvement in the future, and show some respect to the customers.

Quite a disappointing experience, the rooms look different from what we saw in the pictures. The rooms are dirty, there were still strands of hair on the towel, the toilet is not properly cleaned. Although the location is great, the experience overall is rather disappointing and unpleasant. Have been looking forward to my trip but it is unfortunate to say that I am now regretting my stay with marco polo, would've booked another hotel if I knew this is the case. Far from my expectations.

We tried to have lunch at Cucina for my birthday and made a reservation. The greeter lady would not let us in because my bf was wearing slippers. He is very obviously injured and walking with crutches. He could only wear slippers because of a foot injury....I guess they aren't very considerate of people with injuries or disabilities. There was barely anyone inside the restaurant. We asked what we should do then and the lady told us to go across to Nishimura. There was also no one inside this restaurant but we decided to give it a try anyway. The food was mediocre but cost a total of 1200 for two lunch sets. It was one bowl of sashimi with rice plus 8 pieces of sliced beef with onions, toast and some soup that came with the sets....I could've made this easily at home and I've never had such low quality food at this price point. We'll never come to this hotel again. Overall, we had a very bad impression of this hotel from these two restaurants.

Everything about this hotel is fantastic especially the service. All the staff more so on the 17th floor in the Continental room. They all love their work and it shows in their attitude. 10 out of 10 for these people and the desk staff are efficient and friendly as well. As soon as you enter the building they are aware of anything you may require. Top place one of the best we have been in and definitely come here again. 5 min walk to ferries and MTR.

The front desk staff, Henry, provided us a personalized service. When I told him I booked this staycation for celebrating the birthday for my husband, Henry upgraded us to the sea view room on the executive floor. He offered us with two bottles of wine for the dinner. He even escorted us to the floor and brought us with sufficient bottles of water. When we told him the blanket was full of dust, he immediately requested the housekeeping staff to tidy up the room for us. His service was undoubtedly great and he tried his best to fulfill every request by the customer!

Hotel room is kind of old but considered the price of the package, we expected it was no 5 stars. We ordered the truffle in room dinner + breakfast package. Dinner was supposed to be delivered between 8:30 to 9:30pm, at 9:30 still no food. We called a few times and checked on the status, every time they would just say “we are following up on this, sorry too many guests today”. At around 10:12pm, we called the last time to ask to talk to duty manager and threaten for a refund, then food came 4 minutes later. But the food was COLD. The cold dish appetizer was plastic wrapped like an in-flight meal. The biscuit and the steak was also cold and hard, which tells me all the food must have been pre-made. Hotel should be well aware ahead of time how many bookings and guests they have for that night and how many guests had ordered that particular set dinner. I really don’t know why it took so long to deliver some “pre-made” food of a set menu. But if the meal was no pre-made but arrived cold, the other possibility would be the food had been sitting out for a while and no one bother to deliver it to our room. And the most disappointing is the service. They didn’t even take you seriously until we threaten for a refund. The only credit I give to this package is the buffet breakfast, which has a very impressive selection of food choices compared to most hotel breakfast. And the pool even though it is very basic and small, still good enough for a morning dip and swimming laps

Located on Canton road and connected to harbour city mall, this is a nice and comfortable hotel in the heart of the Kowloon commercial district with the front facing a string of high end designer boutiques and the back the bay and hong Kong island across. The rooms here are spacious and nicely appointed. There's a 24 hour gym. Swimming pool is open during daytime

It was my third time staying at Marco Polo Hong Kong. I would say one of the best hospitality from their heart! And many cuisines that you can choose within their three hotels on the same street. Excellent location to explore the city. The view from the hotel is the best way to showcase Hong Kong.

Excellent location, right beside the gateway and harbour city. Although the room is a bit old, but still clean and tidy enough. Relatively cheap for such level of hotel in this area.

I recently stayed at the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, and I was impressed by its unbeatable location. Situated in the heart of Hong Kong, it offers easy access to shopping, business districts, and the Star Ferry. The room had fantastic views, though some furnishings showed signs of aging. Service was efficient, typical of Hong Kong’s business-like approach.

May 2023 stayed three nights in the deluxe harbor view and had a wonderful time. Check in was flawless. English excellent. We arrived early afternoon and the lady informed us that they had a room ready for us on the 8th floor, but since we requested “high floor”, she also informed us that there’s a room on the 16th floor that will be ready in about an hour (I guess everybody wants high floor😅). So we left our luggage with the concierge and got lost in the shopping mall next door. The room was huge (see picts). Old but very clean, very quiet (except for the humming of the super cold air conditioning system), and very well maintained. Everything worked perfectly. Bed linen was in excellent condition and very clean. Bathroom was also excellent and clean. Towels were in good condition and very clean, no odor, no stains. Hot water was super hot, and cold water was freezing cold. Water pressure was excellent. Even the shower curtain was in very good condition and very clean. Housekeeping was ever so lovely. It was around 6-7pm on our very first night (7 May 2023) when I noticed that the shower curtain was missing. I called housekeeping to ask for a shower curtain, but because of slight language barrier (don’t worry, I don’t speak Chinese 😅), the operator couldn’t understand my request but sent someone up to our room anyway. A lady promptly arrived and went straight to flush the toilet! I quickly redirected her to the missing shower curtain. So she quickly went to fetch the shower curtain, and also came back with extra bottles of complimentary water!!!😲 She must have seen our two big bottles of water we bought from the nearby supermarket because complimentary bottles are never enough for us. Thank you very much madam for your attention and thoughtfulness. Exceptional housekeeping!❤️❤️❤️ The only downside to this room was that the wash basin is outside the bathroom, without any enclosure, and pretty much right next to the bed. It was very noisy when one person brushes their teeth, while the other person was trying to sleep. Not very convenient. So if your budget allows, this hotel is highly recommended. Very nice room, excellent location, walking distance to ferry, MTR, supermarket, huge shopping mall… and of course the view! Thank you very much for a very lovely stay!🙏❤️

Hotel with the best view and location on the mainland side of Hong Kong. Forbes’ choice of one of the best hotels too! I went with my sister and we got to enjoy the best view of the island skyline from the room. The hotel room is very spacious and could not complain about the location, as it was PERFECT. The staff were extremely friendly and had high level or service.

Marco Polo Hong Kong hotel was named Hong Kong hotel bofore. It is a very old hotel but now is refurbished, nice reception area with Lane Crawford department store inside. Front desk service is good, the size of my room is big but it had an old carpet and furnitures smell, toilet was clean and they provided the necessary toiletries. Location is good because it is close to MTR and Star ferry. All the top luxury brands are nearby and a big high class shopping complex and restaurants are next to the hotel which you can shop till you drop.

The hotel is located on the busy road surrounded by luxury brands shops. The property hasn’t been renovated for long time . The check- in and check-out ilea’s very fast . Marco cafe offers variety of dishes for breakfast and lunch . The staff is extremely helpful. However there are some areas of improvement. 1. I stayed in the superior room . The view from window is produced below. The room was very small with furniture layout not done well. The bathroom was too congested. 2. Surprising part was that the room cleaning isn’t done daily . One has to place the request for room cleaning . Water bottles are provided only upon request. None of the items are proactively.

First off, great location if you are really into shopping "high end" brands, like clothing and watches. It's also near the subway, so it's quite easy to travel to other places. The lobby is big and and modern. Good WiFi connection and speed. What I don't like is that there's lot of perfume around the entrance. At first, you don't know why. The reason is that it can sometimes smell like a sewer outside on the street. Modern lobby = modern rooms? Sadly no. The hotel may be on a great location, the rooms tho, needs some facelifts, asap! This was modern when your parents were young. The bed was still comfortable. And I really liked the big fluffy pillows. AC was strong, but too noisy for my taste. WiFi in the rooms was a big gamble. Apparently, the hotel can't guarantee that you will get a good WiFi in your own room. It worked quite well, sometimes even speedy on floor 14. But not so good for my brother who stayed at floor 9. Like I said. Gamble. They won't make your bed everyday, but if you hang that "housekeeping" thingy on your door handle, they will give you new towels and water bottles. Staff is friendly and helpful! Elevators are speedy! All in all. Stay for the location. But if you're looking for luxurious and modern rooms. Go somewhere else...

The location is perfect, you can just walk out of the hotel to many shops & restaurants. I loved walking to the Victoria Harbour every night. Room is a little old but well maintained. I would definitely come back if I visit Hong Kong again.

✔️ Nice location in Tsim Sha Tsui, with shopping malls and the harbour just beside the hotel. ✔️On-time in room dining ✔️No queue up time when check in at 4 ✔️ 1 hour late check out is permitted ✖️However, there are some defects on the furniture given the fact that the hotel was established long time ago. The design of a separate room just for the mini-bar is a waste of the room area. The Hotel should think about the renovation. ✖️ The TV model is a bit old, not a smart tv, or allowed chromecast for projection. Under the COVID situation, I think most guests prefer to have certain in room entertainment (Though there are a lot of channels available) ✖️ The WIFI is not okay, can’t even stream a low resolution youtube video. Called front desk and they replied they would reboot the wifi, but it still did not work.

This hotel does not deserve 5 stars according to the bathroom, wardrobe, bed and cleaning so smelly when I entered inside the room. My home bathroom is much better than this five star hotel rating is fake do not trust. Staff is unfriendly. Accept location there is nothing nice in this hotel. They need a renovation for this hotel. Don’t trust the booking sites rating 😕😕😕😕😕😕 Check the pictures below I shared 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

It doesn't even deserve a star. We ordered for in-dining and it arrived 3 hours after multiple follow up. They only took action when we finally had enough and shouted at them and threatened with a refund that they did action. The food arrived 4 mins after we shouted and threatened. The rugs are dirty. The bathroom is not clean. The worst service ever. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

The staffs have tried their best to serve every customer with their limited capacity. Appreciate their efforts.Thanks. To facilitate their works, please provide the additional sets of plates for four persons dinner room services. As each of us will have one set of half- lobster and half portion of the ravioli, it is hard to divide the portion with limited number of plates. It is weird to use the appetiser’s plate to have the main dish. Further, please place one additional stand-up signage at the entrance of the cafe on 1/F. It aims at reminding the visitors, especially HK people to be more patient and line-up to wait for the waiters to check their breakfast coupons. It is hard for the staff to manage the flocks of customers during the peaks hours. Some HK people do NOT have the habits of waiting for the waiter to lead to the suitable table. Really feel sorry for the hard-working staffs. The room’s inner decoration is comfortable. The city view will become more attractive with cleaner windows.

Edit: At the end of my review, I wrote "If anyone from the hotel is reading this, don't bother replying. I've seen the canned replies on Google reviews..." Your canned reply isn't helping and you have my information. Why not reach out to me directly? Please, don't contact me. I'm not looking for anything. I just want to give a review. :End Edit If this was a 5-star hotel when it opened, they've done nothing to keep a 5-star experience. We waited 40 minutes to check in. Once we got to the front desk, it took over 5 minutes to check in. We had confirmed times for dinner with the hotel through email at 6pm. They said the earliest dinner was 630pm. They could not bring dinner at 6pm. I asked for some fruit since we were hungry and dinner was delayed. They brought us 2 uncut dragonfruits with one set of utensils. We reserved the "activity room" with Nintendo Switch. It says it's up to 4 people. They only have 3 controllers. They only have 2 games. 2 plates at dinner came with plastic wrap covering them. Not a big deal, but how hard is it for a 5-start hotel to take off the plastic before serving? The bread was so hard and stale we made a game out of smashing it to pieces on the plate. Our room was big but dated. It was a no-smoking room and you could tell people smoked in it and they tried to cover it up. The windows don't open. The bathroom vent didn't turn on. The air con temperature panel didn't seem to actually work. It was either "on" 19C or "off." Moving it to 24C did nothing. The desk drawer was falling apart. See picture. The bath tub was moldy. See picture. My wife said, "I won't be using the bath bomb soap this trip." We actually showered when we returned home because showering in their bathroom didn't make us feel clean. The bathroom sink is outside the bathroom and above carpet. Simple washing at the sink got the floor wet. Wet carpet over and over again in a room with no ventilation isn't good. I would never stay in this hotel again. If anyone from the hotel is reading this, don't bother replying. I've seen the canned replies on Google reviews and many people had similar experiences or even worse than ours. If similar issues are happening month after month, get off Google, buy some bathtub caulk, buy a 4th Nintendo controller, improve your check-in process or at least bring people some chairs while they wait 40 minutes, and fix the room ventilation.

I was quite disappointed by the unhelpful attitude of the booking staff. We booked 4 rooms and lunch buffet for 40 guests for our wedding day on 5th and 6th Nov. I called the staff and asked if there are any special arrange for the guests who have pre- wedding day and wedding day in your hotel. But the staff simply said NO...Nothing,....at all, turned me down in a very cold attitude. Not even a small cake or simple decoration for the room. I started regard to choose Marco Polo Hong Kong for my big day, even we to staying there yet.

We had a fantastic stay here. Very specious room, great matrass, loved the view. Breakfast was buffet style, everything western and Eastern. Only down-side is that the rooms bathroom is very dated, and a tiny bath. Otherwise awesome!

Great view and price! Though the facilities are a bit aged and the cleaning doesn't always cover every aspect in your huge room, their service is excellent. Cucina downstairs is also a great place for food too!

Here on long stay package so non refundable, otherwise i'd have leff when i saw the state of the rooms. Please do yourself a favour and do not stay here if you are looking for luxury as this place is not it. It might have been 5 stars years ago but the rooms are very tired and worn out, carpets are worn and stained and the bathroom is about 30 years old (see pics attached). The rooms are also only cleaned once a week and charged extra if earlier, though ours was cleaned on day 8 so their service record is bad/you dont get what you pay for. The swimming pool is closed and there are 2 sets of 3 lifts, of which only one set takes you to the small gym. The hotel is a 'H' shape and faces out either to the old harboue terminal with ocean views, onto the Cabton road with views of Jeritage 1881 efc, or if facing inside or the permiers rooms, the inside court of the building which is dire(see attached pics). So far only 1 week into a mammoth 1 month stay and cannot fault Rupa the cleaner who has been fantastic, she will give extra water, coffee etc and will refresh your towels is you call house keeping or if you see a cleaner in the corridor (Rupa happened to clean floor 12 durinf our time). Though we have chanhed rooms alrdy due to loise contruction noise in one room, cig smoke in another and would have changed again had theh not been abke to fix a serious leak from the (old and loud) aircon, which leaks occassionally. Overall i wouldnt reccoment this hotel stay at your own peril, also be aware locals use the rooms here for bridal showers/pre wedding, the corridors are seemingly packed or have the trafitional chinese banners on them, stay elsewhere.

Really like the marco polo. To be honest the associated shopping centre is not great, but once you get into the hotel there is a superb range of eating places and top notch service. Really have very fond memories of this place.

Friendly staff upon check in. Clean and nice room. Tea Sets was good as well as the in room dinner. Breakfast buffet was great, lots of choices and friendly staff too. Very accessible hotel. Easy to locate and you can enjoy sightings around the place especially now when Christmas is coming .

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. Harbour view room was unbeatable. Staff were excellent apart from minor housekeeping issues. Located in the centre of TST just a short walk from Star Ferry and MTR. Would definitely stay again.

I had stayed with a family member at the Prince Hotel during my mandatory quarantine period. The renovated rooms were spacious and modern. The best part of this hotel is the outstanding customer service. The hotel showed true hospitality when faced with the challenge of helping me organise a ‘special circumstance hospital visit’ with the government, and went above and beyond with their empathy and service to ensure I was as comfortable as possible throughout my stay.

The stars are for the merits of the staff and the food. Otherwise, the overall experience was definitely not satisfactory at all. The room was quaint and dated, for which I do not mind at all. However, the issue and the biggest disappointment was with the bed. The mattress was definitely old as it sank in the middle. The springs on the edges also clearly didn’t work anymore. We couldn’t stop slipping from the edge of our bed as we ordered room service and tried to sit on edge of the bed and watch TV. Our neck and back ache as a result of a sleepless night on a terrible bed and pillow.. The carpet seemed dusty and the smell of the room wasn’t appealing at all. Overall, nothing in the room apart from the sea view deserves any merits.

This hotel locate at heart of the busiest shopping centre. At walking distance to seafront by all museums and attractions. Massive selections of food in this area. Staffs I met was welcomimg and helpful. Most rooms have open views over the iconic harbour. Size of the rooms are much more spacious than most hotels in hk within this budget. However rooms and hardwares are aging well so look somewhat tired. Rooms facing canton road could be noisy at night. Very good water pressure, but ventilation in the toilet was not good. Fresh visitors in HK, do remember to visit 6th floor carpark for an astonishing unobstructed view of victoria harbour especially during sunset.

TLDR: Amazing location and very kind & helpful staff, but slightly dated rooms/infrastructure and inexcusably AWFUL Wifi The location is fantastic and super convenient with tons of life and shopping around. There is also great public transport connectivity (bus station + ferry terminal is around the block + TST station is a short walk away). The staff is also incredibly attentive and helpful where they can be. In every case they listened carefully and tried to look out for the guest where they could. Unfortunately, they seem to be overworked and understaffed a bit. The rooms are very spacious, but as far as the furniture and the general feel goes, it seems a tiny bit outdated. I get that part of the theme here is old-timey English wood look, but some things could be a little more modernized; notably there is a dire shortage of outlets in the room. Why would the night stand on the other bed not need an outlet? Because its a very dated design choice. The Wifi is terrible. There is no excuse for a 5-star hotel to have barely functioning Wifi. I consistently saw speeds at sub-1Mbps. For some reason, certain spots in the room had somewhat usable wifi, whereas walking literally 30cm away would destroy any signal (think walking from desk to bed). It is absurd for the solution to be "we will restart the router, please wait 20-25 minutes". That solution sounds like its straight out of the 90s. I absolutely should not have to wait 20-25 minutes for connectivity in the year 2022, where a lot of my work relies on me taking video calls. Not to mention, restarting the router will never solve what seems like a router coverage or signal interference issue. Have you stuck your routers in metal boxes? A part of me thinks you might have given how inconsistent your network is.
