My
stay
at
Marco
Polo
Hongkong
hotel
is
a
massive
disappointment.
Other
than
its
location,
there's
not
much
reason
to
stay
at
this
hotel.
The
first
impression
of
the
room
was
not
nice,
especially
considering
the
price.
The
room
smelled
humid
and
unpleasant,
it
smells
like
there
was
mould
hidden
behind
walls.
The
carpet
was
not
clean
with
visible
stains
and
the
same
goes
to
the
bathroom.
Some
of
the
metal
decorations
in
the
bathroom
were
rusty.
Furnitures
in
the
room
look
like
they
were
abused
and
scratchy.
The
TV
should
be
in
a
granny
flat
than
a
4-star
hotel.
The
worse
of
all
is
the
security
of
the
hotel.
Notably,
cash
in
my
backpack
was
stolen
in
the
room
and
the
room
cleaning
staff
is
highly
suspicious.
We
returned
to
the
room
one
day
with
3
extra
bottles
of
water
on
top
of
the
standard
of
2
bottles.
After
we
left
the
hotel
and
arrived
in
Japan,
we
realised
all
of
our
Japanese
Yen
were
missing.
Our
bags
were
next
to
us
all
time
since
leaving
the
hotel
till
arriving
Japan
and
the
cash
is
stored
in
2
layer
of
protection.
So
it's
very
unlikely
that
our
Yen
got
nipped
during
our
transit.
We
called
the
hotel
and
they
confirmed
by
CCTV
and
room
card
entry
record
that
only
us
and
the
room
cleaning
staff
had
entered
our
room
during
our
stay.
I
don't
like
pointing
fingers
but
all
hints
lead
to
a
suspected
case
of
thievery
at
the
hotel.
I'd
gladly
take
it
as
my
fault
if
my
room
was
broken
it.
But
it
is
unacceptable
for
the
hotel
staff
to
have
done
such
actions.
It
is
a
truly
disappointing
experience
staying
at
Marco
Polo
Hongkong
hotel.
Regrettably,
I
had
to
give
this
hotel
a
one-star
rating
despite
its
close
proximity
to
attractions,
great
food
and
drinks.
I
paid
far
less
for
another
hotel
in
Hong
Kong
when
I
returned
from
Japan
and
honestly
the
other
hotel
is
far
nicer.
While
this
hotel
has
a
prestigious
brand,
it
is
just
not
worth
it.
