I must put on record the attentiveness and resolve of the staff to attend to and resolve customers concerns. More importantly is their system to feedback the matter until it is resolved. This is Custer Service Excellence that the Management and All Staff should be proud off. Hotel is well kept and clean and all staff I interacted with courteous and helpful. Well done!!

Location of the hotel is desirable. Staff from reception to room service and housekeeping is excellent. However, the hotel is old and requires maintenance. My room was on the 17th floor. Bathroom needs maintenance and the shower cord is too short and the water pressure turned the shower head towards the wall when sitting in the stand.

Brillant staff, very polite and friendly, always doing their best for you, very helpful reception, concierge or room staff. Brillant location : 2 mn from metro or tram (that we loved). Near plenty of original shops and restaurants. Middle of a vivid street but no noise in the room to be heard. Tasty breakfast (you choose diff. options). Everything for your confort is there : nice and obviously clean bedlinen, good mattress, usual toilettry articles, ironing board, etc....Well, if I come back to HKG, certainly no pb : Jen Hotel again, with pleasure. A big thanks to the staff. C.M

A quality hotel from the Shangri La group, away from the touristy areas but with lots of things to eat nearby. Service and check in was seamless and friendly, particularly the person who worked the lobby at night. The rooms themselves are clean, light filled and i lived looking out onto the harbour every day. Buffet breakfast was nice as well. The gym was cosy but functional. Very close to the MTR (train) I would very much recommend staying here.

A good hotel for a few days stopover. Handy location, staff helpful and great buffet breakfast. The restaurant is awesome and we really enjoyed our meal there. Worth a swim in the rooftop pool to enjoy the view.

As a frequent visitor to Shangri-la properties, I like the Jen for what it is. A big plus is that the price-performance ratio is very competitive and staff was really friendly. The property itself made a slightly dated impression. The rooms are also not the most modern ones I've seen, but they are okay. If you want to stay around Sai Ying Pun, Shek Tong Tsui, or Kennedy Town, the location is great, as it is right next to HKU MTR station as well as many nice restaurants and cafes.

This hotel is a good choice when visiting Hong Kong. The service from all the staff is really good. Everybody seems genuinely happy to help. Although the hotel is not in the most central location, it is located next to the HKU MTR station, which will take you everywhere you need to go within a few stops. There is a McDonald's just across the street if you need a fast food fix, and lots of local eateries and convenience stores within a few minutes walk from the hotel. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The hotel room is a good size for Hong Kong. Very nice and clean. Good view from the harbour room. The staff are incredible, Jason in particular went above and beyond when my scheduled ride to the airport was cancelled last minute, and was a fantastic help at 5.50am! I will recommend this hotel to everyone because of his exceptional service.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant rooms with convenient additions including kettle, fridge, iron, charger, safe etc. Good sized rooftop swimming pool + gym and restaurant. Very close to HKU MTR station with plenty of shops and takeaway food places nearby. Very nice place to stay.

Definitely a hotel worth its price. Super well located, 1 minute from the subway station. All the stuff was super friendly during our stay and they helped us every time we needed it no matter what. The buffet breakfast is such a good experience that I can see myself already missing it 😅 A recommendation that you will not regret. Can’t wait to go back 😍

I definitely recommend the hotel. Beautiful view from the room, comfortable and functional rooms, cleaned every day. Very nice service at the reception. Perfect location, right next to the MTR station, so you can quickly move around the entire island and beyond. Moreover, around the hotel, there are plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. The only drawback is the breakfast, unfortunately average, small selection and average tasty, it could be improved, apart from that I have nothing to complain about.

Great services and location (right off MTR entrance), front desk is super helpful and attentive. Sweet view of the harbor too. Awesome neighborhood with tons of hidden gems for food lovers and tea aficionados.

We attended a scientific conference at Hong Kong. This hotel was selected by the organizer. We spent little time at the hotel, could not get time to explore the gym or swimming pool. Buffet breakfast was healthy and delicious. Staffs are very cordial and helpful. We took a night walk at the bank of Victoria, nearby to the hotel.

I had a great stay in Hotel Jen thanks to the staff who took care of us. I had a smooth check in & out experience. We stayed in the club lounge floor with the amazing view of the harbour. The hotel is just few steps away from HKU MTR station which is so convenient and very near the Hill Road tram station! Overall, I'm extremely happy I stayed in Hotel Jen.

Service was impeccable. Certain things can be improved e.g., breakfast variety, accuracy & timeliness of service requests. Nonetheless, service was really awesome that it made up for everything else. From the reception / front desk to housekeeping to cleaner to Cafe Malacca staff, really wonderful. Hotel is conveniently located near Airport Bus service, HKU MTR, & DBS Treasures. Would stay again!

Very energetic staff, Jason, Gilbert and Billy who greet me warmly. Very helpful and super efficient. Room is clean and has a great harbor view. It is located at the historic point of East meets west. Many oldies Hong Kong cafe and restaurant. In the meantime, many wonderful American and French cafe surround JEN.

Hello, They assured me that best price guarantee applies; but they don't honour - first excuse currency; second taxes / service charge not shown on 3rd party booking, then they changed flexibility of my booking, and now they tell me well i get points? I asked them to cancel my booking. It's not a serious company; but cannot say about the hotel.

An excellent hotel for business travellers seeking full service with a good value proposition. The rooms and general interiors are starting to feel dated and the hotel could do with a refresh to bring it in line with Hotel Jen Beijing but it remains great value in the off season for those wanting to explore a Hong Kong that is outside of the cookie-cutters you find in Central or Tsimshatsui.

A reasonable enough hotel so long as you aren't doing quarantine. Quarantine food is abysmal, and you can't open the windows! Sea view was nice though.

March 2023 The rooms are a bit small and I absolutely hate the carpets which are everywhere. I did enjoy my stay. The staff was nice and the breakfast was decent; tasty food with a lot of variety. The location is great. Easy to get around and a lot of shops/restaurants in the vicinity. I'd recommend.

It was located near HKU MRT station, TRAM stops, alos surrounded by hippiest spots around Kennedy Town. We took the offer of having free additional bed through out our stay. Bed are very comfy, clean room and very helpful staffs. No dissappointment at all. Thanl you, ot was a lovely stay for us!

Pleasant experience with Hotel Jen. Even though the condition of the room may look a little dated, all the amenities are in perfect working condition. Thank you Billy and Tweenie (I hope I got their names right) for serving us during check in and check out!

Just finished my quarantine. The process was smooth the room quite nice with a great view. The vegetarian food was dreadful. Mainly Chinese vegetarian but even the "western" vegetarian food tasted Chinese. Do yourself a favour cancel it and order in!

Checked in for a long stay and as we really wanted a bathtub made a decision to downgrade to a Superior from a Deluxe, after some long and confusing discussions with front desk. The room was very sparse with an outdated design, and the bathtub plug did not work properly, the soaps are not very good, not much amenities. Overall I would not recommend a stay here, peg this more as a 2-3 star business hotel for a quick stay.

This hotel location is very convenient which is onto 1 min walk from the mtr station The room was clean and bright with a lovely bathroom. Thank you Gigi and Wendy from Front office! Did our quarantine here end of last year, we had a harbour facing room on a high floor and it honestly made our 2 week stay very enjoyable! Service very attentive and helpful, rooms clean, shower pressure incredible. If we ordered food delivery it was brought up to our room within minutes literally every single time which was impressive. Won’t hesitate to book JEN again. Also cafe malacca is awesome for malaysian food!

Room is reasonable size, however would expect better cleanliness. Some of the towels got stain marks. Also pillows are too soft, they gone flat right after you sleep on them.

Jen hotel’s location is convenient, outside HK University’s subway station, with everything available around the corner and within short blocks. The room is well laid out for HK standard with a nice waterfront view. The staff was very helpful, especially after I already checked out yet couldn’t do dine-in due to vaccine record issue, they let me go back to my room to eat my takeout food in privacy, asking the cleaning lady to wait a bit. Very considerate of the Covid situation. It’s got a rooftop pool which is nice too.

The second day of quarantine. Comfortable beds and the a/c filter in the room looks clean. Food is fine. Just there are too few vegetables. I do love the snacks in the afternoons. Good service.

Gorgeous rooms overlooking the harbour. Nicely located in HKU by the MTR station. Lying in the bath with the view is pretty special. The rooftop pool is small but a cool spot way up in the skyline. The rooms are clean and well styled in Japanese minimalist fashion with all the basic amenities you would need. The Malay restaurant downstairs usually has a great buffet during non-covid times. The service is good, but could be a bit speedier. It has been a Covid hotel the last few years, so this review is based on before this time.

I didn't get a chance to stay at JEN hotel for my quarantine, but I'd still like to leave a note here about their excellent customer service. I was calling the hotline to ask for quarantine options. The call was picked up almost instantly on a Sunday and the person whom I spoke with was very patient with answering my worries about cancellation policy. We did not choose JEN at the end because we want a room with 2 desks. But still, thank you so much!
