Loving my stay at The Murray. The architecture was beautiful to look at, the room are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is good, be sure to grab the yummy egg tart as well. The room and the bathroom is spacious. The layout are well throughout. The bedding was very comfortable, got a really good sleep. The bathroom is big and well planned. Comfortablw stays, would love to come back here again.

My family and I felt so good to stay at The Murray. We enjoyed a delicious meal for tea, dinner and breakfast. Free room upgrade made us very surprised which was out of expectations. Good view of facing HSBC tower and chapel. Services and workshops were excellent and what impressed us the most is the ENVIRONMENT: clean, neat, tidy and modern. We had a great memories to remember.

Stayed on a Sunday. Fantastic room size and very luxurious! Superb service from all staff. No wonder they are a Forbes 5 star hotel! Lots of dining options and for those who wants to do events, they have lots of events options too. Weddings will be very nice if held there.

Never go to The Murray again! 1. The attitude of their customer service is poor. There are only two sets of cups in the three-person room. When calling the customer service for the third set , the customer service asks, "Why do you need the third set of cups?" Then "friendly" remind the guests they would charge for the forth set of cups?(Are you serious?) And the first time my friend asked for a white wine glass, I was sent a tea cup, and the second time I asked again, I was sent with a red wine glass . 2. The quality of afternoon tea set is average, since the afternoon tea set is included in the package, the waiter in the garden lounge restaurant asked for what we would like to drink as soon as we sat down. While we did not even have a chance to read the menu, it was taken away. 3. The quality of dinner is relatively acceptable, but Niccolo's room is completely unacceptable as a restaurant in a "5 STARS" hotel. I couldn't believe this is the arrangement of a "five-stars" hotel. 4. Popinjays semi-buffet breakfast offers poor food and very limited choices. 5. The only thing my friends and I enjoyed is the spacing of the room and that is the reason for rating 4 stars in room.

For years, I had wanted to stay at this hotel and now that I have, I can't wait to return. Every effort was made to make sure my needs were met from the moment I made the reservation to the moment my stay ended. The pre-arrival emails, the warm welcome, the recognition and smiles during the stay and the friendly farewell made my friend and I feel like valued and welcome guests. We were checked in by Karley whose big smile and bubbly personality got our stay off to a good start. The Superior suite was spacious and comfortable and overlooked Hong Kong Park. The bathroom had one of the biggest showers I had ever experienced and the smart glass in the doors to the bedroom gave instant privacy at the flick of a switch. The hotel grounds are stunning and we walked around them as we admired the amazing architecture of the building. This hotel held surprises around every corner and together with the friendly and very helpful staff, made our stay a memorable one. We can't wait to return.

Amazing experience, good housekeeping, great restaurant staff. Only a few points to improve on, the manager directing check-in lines was rude and impolite (the check-in staff behind the counter was fine, very polite and attentive). Didn't expect a line for dinner, maybe the hotel could spread customers in different dining venue or dining time to improve that since this hotel is targeting to be a top tier 5 star (in terms of pricing). Overall the room size, valet parking staff, the food quality definitely shines. Not yet a top tier 5 star but a respectable 5 star.

I have my staycation in here and participated in their historical guided tour. The most special event of the tour which introduce the arts and design around the hotel. The semi-buffet dinnar was satisfied and those starters with a lot of variety. My wedding anniversary holiday is very satisfy with love.

Winter stay - The Murray Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel Room 1706, N3 Grand deluxe king Retail : 3400+10% Located along legendary Cotton Tree Drive in the heart of Hong Kong, The Murray is the cityโ€™s luxury iconic landmark. The building itself was built in 1969, and had been a government building since, the building is then revived and started it's operation as The Murray Hotel on 2018. The lobby will be crowded on/around 12pm (standard checkout time). Believe me, checking in on 11am is a must-have perk. What is good? ๐Ÿ˜ The hotel is contemporary and chic, if you must compare with, the same feel like a W Hotel but not the same vibe. In some ways, The Murray Hotel is more luxurious than W Hong Kong. W is much more groovy while Murray is more mature and luxurious. A pet-friendly policy, first staycation choice in the town for a pet lover, you can see dogs around the premise. In the restaurant, lobby, hallway or garden. The dining, breakfast is great, one of the best hotel's breakfast in Hong Kong. ๐Ÿ˜‹ The hardware - the hotel is quite young, the fittings and fixtures are pristine, the golden color element blends well in the design. Usually comes with free overnight parking for a car per room. Good for pets owner driving to the property. What is bad? ๐Ÿ˜ฅ The swimming pool, it's small, it's dark, feels like a swimming pool built in the basement. There is no way you will spend a long time in the swimming pool. Afternoon tea is meh... A common problem among hotels, it's really hard to have an excellence afternoon tea. (Both St. Regis HK & The Upper House rated as the best afternoon tea so far) Checking in might take a long time if you happen to stay on public holiday, and don't have an early check-in perk. Verdict ๐Ÿ˜Ž The overall space of an N3 Grand Deluxe King is satisfying, even for a family of 4, one of the spacious non-suite room in Hong Kong. If you don't care about the swimming pool nor sun bathing, and if you found a great deal (with good amount of dining credits or package including 3 meals...), then you know it's time. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Definitely a hot spot for pets owner or for those partying in the rooftop bar of Popinjay. #themurray #niccolohotel #murrayhongkong #GHADISCOVERY #titanium #hongkong

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Murray for my anniversary. It was a truly enjoyable experience. The room was spacious and well-appointed and the view was stunning. The newly opened lounge was a great addition to the stay and provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the evening. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the amenities were top-notch. The food was delicious, nicely presented. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable experience.

The Murray is a stylish boutique hotel located on the fringe of Central District on Cotton Tree Drive. Overall design is very chic although most interior areas are not so spacious. Service is hit or miss, probably because it isn't managed by an experienced international hoteliers group.

I seldomly write review but I just couldn't help it. Been here for lunch before but spending a night here is never regrettable. But I am bias for sure if you read on. This was a government building back in the 1960's during colonial period. My dad used to work here as a civil servant and it brings back lots of memories. And I added a little more something on top to make it more memorable, but I will keep this part personal. The history of the building and how it turns out to be a luxury hotel is just amazing. I love the simple and yet very elegant design. Everything looks so fine here. If you like the design as much as I do, you should go and search for the designer in charged for the transformation. Happy holidays

Room: I stayed at both Signature suite and N2, both rooms are spacious but I prefer N2 for my old dog because of bigger carpet coverage. Facilities in both rooms are good and new. Staff: super pet friendly and helpful Food: the afternoon tea is pretty good. Breakfast is good too but more choices would be great. My only issue is eating outside with my furry dog is too hot for her even the fan is on. Alex Mak assisted me to arrange everything for my stay, itโ€™s highly appreciated. Also thanks to Rickie Wong for a lovely drawing of my dogs.

Great experience with our pet dog. Staffs are extremely friendly and one can tell most of them are dog lovers as well some even played with our dog. Nice hardware and good food & vibe. Will definitely revisit.

I celebrated my 3*th birthday with my family in this hotel. Other than the fact that the interior is classy, food is great and the room is clean... what made me love our stay is that all the hotel staffs are so welcoming & warm. I would love to stay there again during special occasions! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฅ‚

Joined Murrayโ€˜s 30-hour staycation package on 5-6 Dec 2022 for celebrating honeymoon with my husband and it was a wonderful experience. The hotel room was luxurious in design and in real good condition that looks like brand new, especially liked the bathtub a lot. In addition to the hardware, the staff were also very friendly and helpful, and would take initiative to greet/offer assistance, which gave us a very good impression towards Murray. Murray also offered dessert cake, chocolate and a greeting card as complimentary treat which was out of our expectation. Thanks for giving us a great honeymoon experience.

My family and I stayed in this gorgeous boutique hotel in early April. The room is spacious, and stylish. The location is one of the kind, it is like a hidden treasure in the city, close to everything but remain itโ€™s calmness! ( you need to experience it to know what I am saying!) All the staffs are very friendly, especially Karen( the assistant guest experience manager) and Rick( assistant chief concierge), they are super helpful and caring! They really show the great hospitality from The Murray! Can not wait to visit this hotel again!

Relax and comfort environment for the brunch. Food variety is not very much but the quality is good especially the appetizers "Oyster and crab cake". The selected main is also delicious. The service is excellent.

Disappointing experience, wanna leave and go home now actually even it is 1:30am in this hotel, here are my experience so far: 1) Black out curtain was not working so we needed to change room, only change to same type of room 2) Dinner waited over half an hour while our dogโ€™s order waited 1 hour 3) Dinner not enough of staff to help at all 4) A staff suddenly ring our room and then we open the door and he said he ring it wrong 5) Asked for the snore preventing pillow, said ok on phone and then turns out out of stock when they delivered the pillow to us We are very disappointed with Murray Hotel and such kind of experience really ruined our happy holiday mode. โ€œLate checkoutโ€ and also the refund of that dog food ($98 or $88 I forgot) really only makes me be able to give 2 starts out of 5. Unless there are any better offer, I will never come back again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone we know.

The entire experience was amazing, the arrangement of the hotel staffs with our stay was spectacular. The journey starts from checking-in, dining in the restaurants and check-out. All encountered staffs were professional and hospitable, treating us beyond just hotel guests. Will definitely be coming again with my family and friends. Looking forward in seeing you the Murray team.

One of the best hotels I've been to. So well kept. Staff are super attentive. Rooms are very good size and bathroom had magic glass which turned opaque when door closed! Amazing sound system and big TV too. Breakfast options were plentiful and tasted great. Location is excellent and close to so many sites to see and transport links.

I must confess a particular bias here but... there's just a grand, old world, luxurious sense of occasion at the Murray. I've been a long-stay guest in the past and recently returned for a weekend staycation which reminded me how much I actually miss it there. And that every member on staff has been incredibly kind and attentive to my beautiful rescue poodle just puts the Murray right at the top of my list. Class and elegance all the way... buffet breakfast in the garden...sublime.

Hotel The Murray was the perfect choice for my solo trip to Hong Kong. I was blown away by the hotelโ€™s stunning architecture, exquisite service, and prime location. My room was spacious and elegant, with all the amenities I needed. I also enjoyed the hotelโ€™s five dining options, ranging from casual to fine, and the breathtaking view of the city skyline. What made my stay even more special was the staff, especially Chris, who greeted me at arrival. He welcomed me warmly at the hotel and gave me some insider tips on where to eat and drink in Hong Kong during my stay. He introduced me to some of the best hidden gems, like speakeasy bar and nighlife in Hong Kong. And the hotelโ€™s own restaurants, which I was quite impressed by. His service and attention to comfort of hotelguestโ€™s stay really are appreciative! Especially as I was only for a short-stay. I had an amazing time at Hotel The Murray and I canโ€™t wait to go back. It is one of the most luxurious and relaxing hotels I have ever experienced. Thank you, Hotel The Murray team and Chris, for making my trip so memorable! Hope to see you soon!

Excellent stay, loved the service. We stayed here as a family of 6 and had 3 rooms for 3 nights. One of the days we took a day trip to Macau. One of us forgot our ID in the room while crossing passport control. Luckily, we were able to call the hotel and the staff were able to locate our ID and send us the photo. They handled this with care and professionalism. The service at the hotel is top notch and staff were very helpful and friendly. We were also tight on time and were able to do some currency exchange at the hotel which was extremely convenient saving us valuable time. In addition, there was rainy weather and the staff gave us umbrellas for the day so we would have a comfortable stay in HK. The rooms were fantastic, we stayed at an N2 King and the bathtub was great after a long day of exploring. The blackout curtains worked really well and provided a very restful sleep. We enjoyed the rooftop bar, drinks were also great with a nice relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely be staying again.

Welcoming guest service representative at the concierge. Thoughtful housekeeping services. Great coffee & tea in the room. Lovely and big bath my son loves! Spaceous rooms and great view. Swimming pool though small, it's with attentive service. My only complaint is the extremely slow service at the Murray Lane.(Bar) No one to be seen at the reception area. We have to ask at the bar area to get any attention. The cocktail didn't arrive until the first glass of white wine was finished - taking forever to arrive. Then as it arrived. It was the wrong order. Half way drinking the wrong cocktail, the waiting staff holding the right one and apologised. But it was so late that we have to go for our dinner at the Tai Pan which we have reserved...in the end, have the 2nd round (Happy Hour) brought up as our dinner drink. But the worst part came the day we were reviewing the bill before the planned"express checkout". We were being double charged on our drinks. Express checkout went down the drain as we need to resolve the discrepancy at the concierge. Though the guest service representative rectified the overcharged. The impression of great hardwares and welcoming guest relations/housekeeping no longer makes me feel it's of 5 star overall rating.....

I think the service at Murray is exceptional. I was with them a few times, and this time I was stuck in the hotel due to typhoon Saola. The staff meticulously remember you and your request, I ordered a special order salad once and they could remember the details. It is really a home away from home where the staff goes out of their way to assist you. Of course, the room is massive for HK standards, and the rooftop bar is always amazing!

5-stat boutique hotel. Modern and minimalist, with amazing artworks. Buffet bfast is more of quality than quantity which for me is ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘. Staff from reservations, front desk, bell service and housekeeping (special mention Ms. Kimmy who took care of our two rooms on the 11th flr.) are all polite and efficient. The room and bathroom are awesome (the bathtub is the star of the bathroom). It has good restaurants too. Its roofdeck resto bar Poppinjays has a great view of the iconic Victoria Harbour. Location is also perfect (almost Midlevels) right smack in Central. Walking distance from an aviary park, The Peak, other hotels and shopping areas. I highly recommend this hotel. A bit pricey but every dollar is worth it. You get what you pay for.

The atmosphere and the decor is perfect. Also the reception staff was definitely attentive. The rooms were really gorgeous especially when upgraded with the bathtub. It's worthwhile. The room service was quick and delicious. But the restaurant manager/service were not on par with the 5 star rating of the whole hotel. Also a bit of inconvenience with no shuttle.

I was supposed to stay from November 8th-9th. I checked in today and ended up leaving after 2-3 hours because of the nasty service. I have stayed at the Murray since 2018, even getting married here. It used to be a nice hotel. I would always book the regular room and I was ALWAYS given a room with a bathtub. This time, I was terrorized to get a room upgrade for a bathroom. This has never happened before. My room type booked does have a bathtub.. The room was also tiny and there was trash in my room: 1. used tissue on the floor 2. disgusting BROWN stains around the toilet- I almost puked it was gross I am so disappointed. never again. I have stayed in hotels for over 4 years (I live in hotels) and the Murray now has the worst service AND grossest rooms in hong kong. This hotel deserves 3.5 stars at max

Be prepared to do tons of waiting in line. They told me check-in time is 3pm. I arrived at 3:20pm to see the lobby was crowded with people and dogs. There were two looooong lines and no guidance or instructions. Everyone had to stand in line for an hour and a half, carrying luggage and babies/dogs. Despite knowing their full capacity during the festive seasons, and living with Covid for 2 years, it never occurred to them to come up with a systemic solution that is reasonable for a 5 star hotel. They could've easily put up some sofas or set up a ticketing service, or staggering the check-in time slots, but no they didn't. Same experience with restaurants for dinner and breakfast, and right now I'm waiting for my drink at the afternoon tea. Food is not bad. Service is consistently inconsistent. Bathtub is good. But life is too short to wait in line after line, esp given their price range.

Despite making a reservation 3 weeks in advance, which was also subsequently confirmed by your staff a day before the actual reservation, to celebrate a landmark occasion, we were left utterly disappointed. I had clearly communicated dietary requirements, however when we arrived for a 430 PM reservation, there was next to no record or acknowledgement of the same. We were however told, given the restrictions, our food would take 20 minutes to prepare. Keep in mind, your slots for afternoon tea run in 90 minutes buckets. So despite being informed 3 weeks in advance we were asked to wait for 20 minutes. However in reality the wait was 35 minutes. One of the drinks, when it did arrive 40 minutes later, was incorrect and had to be taken back. The kitchen, hearing of our requirement clearly took a shortcut, as both adult guests were served the same things despite clearly being told differently. The icing on the cake probably had to be that one of the dishes that adults were served, was same as the child's. And to top it all off, we handed our cheque, without asking for it about 35 minutes after receiving the food. I do feel extremely disappointed with the service standards and lack of care shown towards guests. Clearly not at all what I was expecting from The Murray and hardly an experience I'd like to repeat or recommend to others.

Pros: -good central location. -Nice historic building and interior design. -Staff are friendly. -Room was good, clean and nice view. -Pet friendly. -Variety of in-house restaurants. -Rooftop bar was cool. -Breakfast buffet was great. Cons: -No Pet amneties when we arrived. They brought those in later, by going into our room without letting us know after we had already unpacked and lots of personal and valuable things lying around... -No special Birthday gifts or acknowledgement other than when we checked in. -Apparently your pets are not allowed to be ever left in the room... -By far the WORST complaint was they roomed use right next door to lots of family / friends staying there for a wedding. The WHOLE night the neighbours were partying, opening and closing the door, playing games. I didnt get ANY sleep. I don't blame them, as its a wedding, and there is tradition. A 25 floor building, and you put us in between guests clearly there intending to party the whole night. This I think is unforgivable. - After explaining this to them at checkout, the only thing they offered was a free bottle of water.... Summary Personally i have stayed in a few pet staycations now. I probaly wouldn't go back to this hotel. For those wondering, my favourite so far is W Hotel.

Had drinks and bar food at the cotton tree terrace beer garden . Got 30% off for mains through an online platform, drinks were really nice but the food was meh. All the fried dishes were too oily. The live music and ambience were beyond expectation. Highly recommended for 350 hkd per head on a Thursday evening.

We shared a nice weekend at Murray. Itโ€™s near the peak and the night scene of Hong Kong is excellent. I have N2 Deluxe room and it is quite large, compared to my expectations. We have an afternoon tea, dinner and breakfast at Murray and we are satisfied with the food and service. Itโ€™s a place good for couple and also your pet. And, if u like hiking, you must have fun at the Peak nearby.

On a business trip with my dog in Hong Kong and stayed at the Murray for 10 days. The hotel looked stunning as always, facility is nice but the service always feel a bit distant compared to the nearby Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons. And the room is actually not very spacious for the cost. If you have the budget of $300 a night. You have some better options around central.

Very memorable experience, nice service and helpful staff. Thanks ! This is the anniversary celebration trip of us, so i decided to choose The Murray Hong Kong for celebration. The hotel is gorgeous, feels like vacation in other countries. The dinings also delicious, i will choose again or buffet dinner next time. Iโ€™m highly recommend this hotel.

Been here a few times, often have meals at the restaurants inhouse. Got upgraded to suite, appreciated it. Splendid decor, love the dark hardwood flooring and marble white gold bathroom and bathtub. Dazzling view and surroundings.

We had the afternoon tea set. More savouries than sandwiches and whilst I give 10/10 for the ideas in the savouries I felt the execution could have been better. Tiny Abalone in pastry shell meant you were left chewing on Abalone after the pastry had gone or the Birds Nest Egg Tart where a bland birds nest was added to the bland eggs. The mini matcha pineapple bun though was great. I do love the thought that has gone into making East meets West dishes they just need a little bit more.

I was here for the Oktoberfest and the service is good. The Murray provided me peace of mind even during the pandemic. As for the beer and food, Gwailou and Young Master are fresh and nicely brewed but the pork knuckle is so salty that one star is deducted from the final score

I would never recommend this hotel to any friends who want to celebrate with your love one. I had pre-booked my trip, including a special request for setting up a surprise proposal, and the experience fell far below my expectations. Upon checking into our room at the communicated time, I was dismayed to find that nothing had been prepared as per my clear instructions. This oversight is entirely unacceptable, as it greatly impacted the intended atmosphere and significance of the moment. A proposal is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and unfortunately, it has now become a regrettable and unforgettable one. If hotel staff had missed the instructions, a simple notification would have allowed me to temporarily relocate my girlfriend from the room while the surprise was being arranged. However, concierge arrived with the flowers and balloon in plastic bags, without any callback or response email. I am deeply disappointed by the approach the team took to rectify this situation. Throughout the course of our stay, there were multiple opportunities for hotel staff to notice the error and handle it in a more considerate and professional manner. At least the check-in staff will notice my request during my check-in? Regrettably, this was not the case, and their actions completely undermined the surprise element and significantly impacted the overall mood of our trip. it is overall a very disappointed stay and not recommend!
