This is one of my favourite hostels in Hong Kong, You can meet people around the world in chat night and music show. The bed and environment are clear and tidy. The design of female dome and 10 people room are awesome. It’s a great experience for me to know more about Sham Shui Po, highly recommend for travelers who like to discover different cultures around the world.

I stayed at Wontonmeen for 5 nights and I loved it! I have met the most amazing people and it made my stay so memorable. Pat is the loveliest person ever. She takes care of everything and is there for you whenever you need her. The roof was beautiful and I will never forget our nights up there! Til next time Wontonmeen <3

Nice decoration filling with scenes of HK feature. Local beers are good to try as well. There are a small stage inside and you would find good jazz musics periodically.

I really enjoyed staying here. Patricia the lady who runs it is a genuinely kind person who is always inviting guests to local events and great at bringing people together, cultivating a wonderful atmosphere. She was also super helpful and went out of her way to answer questions and followup on things that I had honestly forgotten I even asked her. The story behind the bed design is quite interesting and a good insight into the history of Hong Kong. There is ample showers, laundry and other amenities and the location is great. I highly recommend this hostel, I've stayed at many and this is probably the first one I've actually written a review for because I found it rather special.

Wontonmeen is a creative residence. Your stay will be fun if you make it fun. Having stayed here a few times, I’ve grown to like this place.

Incredibly well priced. Great rooftop views. Comfortable beds. The owner and her husband are wonderful people. Very retro Hong Kong. Great neighborhood. Central and easy to get to touristy places. 10 min walk to MRT. Amazing food places around. Shop that sells beer across the road. Great crowd of travellers that stay here. Not a single thing is wrong with this hostel. Lift works, dorm room is comfortable. Love the way to create privacy in bunk bed. Bunk beds are solid and doesn't shake when someone gets in. Beds are suitable for tall people. (I am tall) Stay here when in Hong Kong you will not regret it at all.

A social hostel with Hong Kong style decorations. There were some travelers here to exchange travel tips. The breakfast was great value for money. The beds were comfortable. However, the place is quite small.

Excellent stay at Wontonmeen. Patricia is fantastic & very attentive. The rooms were clean, well ventilated and quiet, and also spacious and safe. The common area was great to relax and meet other people. Will definitely stay here again when I’m back in HK :)

A nice family-owned hostel located right between Sham Shui Po and Mong Kok. Nicely ventilated, clean bathrooms, and sound-proofed walls make for a comfortable nights rest. The mattress is surprisingly comfy as well and I really liked the old school "cage-style" setup of the beds. For Hong Kong, this is a good hostel to stay at as it's also pretty close to the metro station. I recommend staying here

The owner was super responsive. Property is very clean despite the building's age. Can't find fault with the value. Stayed in a private room.

To be honest I was a little skeptical about the place as it was really affordable in such a central part of Hong Kong. But I was pleasantly surprised at how the owners maximised the space while providing comfort to travellers on a budget. I really like the decor of each of the room especially their dormitory they built it all by hand and it looked amazing. There's also a common chill area for groups to chit chat and relax. There's a sort of youthful energy in the place which I really like. This place is extremely accessible and convenient to walk to other famous places such as Mong Kok. Prince Edward MTR is also a 10 minute walk from the location. Owners are also extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to young travellers who want to explore the real Hong Kong.

My stay is already quite some time ago but I still want to leave my feedback here :) I really enjoyed my time here. It was still quite empty but as I understood, they just reopened. I really like the balcony/terrace and the atmosphere. Everything was clean and I didn’t really miss anything. You can lock your backpack under you bed if you bring a small padlock (or you buy one on the street). I would also recommend to bring a scarf or something similar to hang it as a curtain around your bed, so that you have some more privacy. The owners are very lovely and they invited me to join one of the jazz evenings :) I will definitely come again!

Haven't stay there for more than a couple hours yet, but the overall atmosphere is just amazingly comforting. I have been there twice to attend for their workshop events, the zoning and connection of spaces is adventurous and cozy. Staffs are friendly and welcoming, made visitors feel at home.
