My second hostel experience with friends. It was great. It is very close to city center and a 30 second walk to the metro. Staff are friendly. Make sure to get an octopus card when you check in. It's basically free, just return it when you checkout for your money back. The folks are nice here and it is a safe environment and they have small safes. You can stay in a room with 8 or 10 beds. Prices are reasonable and it's a great way to see the city center of Hong Kong for a few days. Downside is it can get loud as people come in and out, so if you are a pretty light sleeper I wouldn't recommend it. Elevators are also small and it is a 14 floor building.

As far as hostels in Hong Kong go this one is really nice. It's reasonably priced, it's clean, you get a just enough place to rest your head and your stuff. There is a cozy common room where people hangout. The environment is really friendly and welcoming and I met many cool people which is not common in other hostels in the area. The location is very central

Very nice if you get a bed in the main branch. It has 2 dorms there with a nice common area and big good bathrooms. If you get a bed in the other branch (they will only tell you after arrival) you are not lucky. Very slow Wi-Fi, extremely small showers and toilets (one of the smallest I have ever seen), only one sofa, no community because of bad common place. So just wish you get the good one!

Friendly staff, Great location The rooms can be quite small and cramped. Rooms are airconditioned and cleaned daily Showers are great though towels are rental Free WiFi and Water. If you're the social type, this is the place to go.

Great hostel. The rooms were slightly packed but I think this is more of a Hong Kong thing then this hostel. Small lockers in the room for small important things. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The owner took us out one night and we had a great time. The common room was small and when I was there not many people were in it typically. The facilities were very clean and personal. The location was great and right around everything. Elevator was annoying, I took stairs usually.

Fantastic hostel for meeting people - one small common space that makes it easy to get to know other backpackers. From talking with other travelers, this is one of the best hostels in HK. Space is tight (as with everything in the city), but the place is clean and the staff is friendly. There is definitely less space here compared to travelers hostels in other cities, but I think that’s the case for any hostel in Hong Kong.

Hotel itself not bad. However, the sinks are too small to wash face properly, and some shower stalls are too small.l, but it’s maybe just because I am tall.

Had a room in the main branch so can only expand on my own experience. Nice hostel. Small common room but its HK so hard to not expect a small space. Definitely get a SIM card or get data before showing up otherwise finding this place will be a nightmare lol. The location is incredible though and so centrally located. Really enjoyed my stay here. Make sure to take a stroll in the park behind the mosque! Flamingos and other birds galore 😁.

It’s fine for just one night. The room is too small and one of the beds was cut short by the ceiling. But you can get way better options 2 blocks down. Even cheaper.

Good spot to explore the city. Not much space, but it's Hong Kong

Great location (super easy to get from/to airport and central Hong Kong), clean rooms, has a laundry machine and enough showers for all. The hostel itself is very compact - but for me it only ment that the atmosphere was very cozy and helped people connect with each other. Staff are very nice and helpful and even took us to cool places to visit and eat. Strongly reccomend!

I have enjoyed my stay so far at the Rainbow Lodge. It can be a little hard to find with no sign. Reception/the common room is on the fifth floor of the Haiphong Mansions. Done rooms are on other levels and are next to other businesses. Most rooms seem to bunk beds with privacy curtains, however my room had beds more akin to those in a capsule hotel. Common room is small but always seems to have people in it. Staff is very nice, I enjoyed the dim sum night with Sam. Beds are covered in plastic under the sheets but otherwise comfortable. Plugs with adapters and lamps at each bed. Showers always seem to have hot water and soap and shampoo are provided. Either a key or code is required to get into hostel areas and rooms. There are also backpack sized security lockers with keys for each bed. Location had lots of for traffic and felt pretty safe. Right next to the A1 exit of the TST MTR station
