This is the most beautiful restaurant for good local food. Service is impeccable along with the food and tea. Great place for families and also someone dinning alone. Well taken care of. Wheelchair and stroller accessible and high chairs available

It's a historical restaurant and all the decor and furniture were like art pieces. It feels like you have travelled back in time as you enter the restaurant. The dim sum we had tasted good as you'd expect but nothing really impressive. The service was impeccable.

Pretty good dim sum, but I was expecting more at this price. The BBQ pork crust is definitely not the best I had. The abalone tart is also relatively small comparing to other places. Only suprisingly good dish is the dessert, the date rice cake. Very soft and tasty. Service was excellent.

Foot was amazing. We did lots of Dim Sum. The signature Dim Sum was really good. We also did the duck. And that was again really grazy amazing good. Maybe the best duck that I did eat. The goose was also very nice. See picture of the goose. We did drink tea. And the tea was also nice. I will really go back again when I am in Hong Kong. Also the area around the hotel is nice to visit. The hotel inside is very pretty. Some nice shops to visit inside the hotel. If you are ever in the area don’t miss this restaurant to go to 🥰

(Translated by Google) Had a very relaxed dim sum lunch in this famous restaurant. Excellent service, good food. Cozy place, old style design, old songs were played. Spent about HKD1400 for 2 persons. A bit expensive but the good service and good food worth it. Will try their set meals next time. If you like Chinese tea should try their special tea. We tried 2 different ones HKD105/115 per person. This afternoon I had a very satisfying dim sum lunch at Jialin Tower of the Peninsula Hotel. Dining in a quaint environment and playing old songs, the two spent nearly $1400. Although it is a bit expensive, it is definitely worth the price. Had $195 for half of Iberico pork barbecued pork. The scent on the table is very attractive and the taste is good. Because it is too thin, it is a bit hard. Next time, I will try the ordinary Yiyaki. 2 pieces of lobster and goldfish dumplings. The shape is very unique, $98 a piece, the taste is not particularly attractive, I will eat shrimp dumplings next time. Stir-fried carrot cake with XO sauce for $138, delicious. 2 pieces of abalone tarts, $78 a piece, good taste. The taro angle is $78, delicious. Forgot the name of the dim sum, the rice rolls have shrimp and fried ghosts for $128, which is delicious. Scallop dumplings are $82, the taste is a bit sweet, I don't like it too much. Huamao and bamboo fungus soup dumplings are $168 per person, delicious. I chose two cheaper special teas from the special teas. Jasmine Silver Needle is $105 per person, and the tea is very fragrant. The premium silver needle white is $115 per person, with a light fragrance and a very slippery entrance. The waiter kept adding water and making tea for us, and the service attitude was super good. Those who like Chinese tea must try it. The honey-flavored walnuts are free and taste good. Will come back to try the lunch set here next time. We tried 2 different ones HKD105/115 per person.

There is a difference when you eat! The crustacean has a thin and loose skin; an egg yolk filling is so slippery and fragrant, it will look like the usual custard mooncakes are too sweet and too leaky. It's so high-quality 🥺! 🌟Small edible tips: Usually, if you don’t eat, remember to live in the canal in the snow. Ding and heat it for 20 to 30 seconds before eating. It will be like the most Owari. Wow, you can smell the scent of milk emperor 🥴. The last two Zhang Xiangs ding left for 40 seconds are wrong demonstrations, and the egg yolk is old and the shoe is left 🌚. ——————————————————— 🌕When is the bright moon? Ask Qingtian about the wine! 餐枱上岀現曱甴,其岀品芋頭糕內又有長頭髮,正考慮報食環署。 Had a dinner on Dec16. Food was great but a small cockroach🪳showed up ON OUR TABLE. It probably came from the pot holder that has aluminium foil wrapped but that speaks a lot about the sanitary condition of the kitchen. Staff handled it swiftly so we let that slide without having them replace all dishes on the table as offered, but only the two closer to the cockroach and with pot holders and potentially housed the cockroach. We were later offered a table of desserts that we did not plan to order. They were only ok. We accepted the gesture of goodwill because we did not want to make a scene. Honestly we would have preferred the bill being taken care of given the grave situation. On Dec20, when I was going through customs at the airport, someone called from Spring Moon, I think to followup on the case. I asked them to call back but haven’t heard from them since. Today I got a Taro cake from Spring Moon, and upon cooking, a thread of long hair was found within. It was tangled within the cake structure and took some strength to remove it completely. I’m not consuming the cake. Was really shocked and disappointed with their quality control. Considering reporting to Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.

Classic example of an environment out shining the food. This is a fantastic place to gather given the beautiful setting and ambience, paired with the helpful staff makes this place just a must go if you're having a business meeting or sorts. Yet, we feel that the food is just average and not mind-blowing for the price and award they have received. Travelling around hong Kong and trying different dim sum has definitely made us more sensitive to the flavors and texture of what makes a quality dimsum. I might be wrong, but the siew Mai meat here wasn't as prominent, and the har Gao skin was sticky and made a slight stain on our chopsticks. We can imagine the quality of the other items if their siew Mai and hargao wasn't up to expectations. The rationale for me being more critical about this place is because they charge an extreme premium and was awarded Michelin bib gourmand. In general, come here more for the setting and less of the food.

One of the best dim sums in Hong Kong. Beef balls and shaolongbao are the must-haves. It's located on the 1F of Peninsula Hotel which is right in front of L3 exit of TST MTR. If you want to try the core of dim sum, this place is it.

So what makes Spring Moon mooncake so tasty and always highly sought after? The story goes all the way back to the 80s, when a famous food critic passed the secret recipe of egg custard filling to the chef. Since then the egg custard bun has became a signature dim sum of this restaurant, and eventually evolved to the form of mooncake. Alas, they used to make deep fried version of the egg custard bun, but it was taken away from menu probably due to healthy reason. Needless to say the dim sum are of a high standard. The soup dumpling is one of the best I could find.

(Translated by Google) The Peninsula Hotel has always been a class-A hotel with a long history and a world-famous reputation. On the day, my man invited me to have a dinner together to celebrate the festival. Of course, I have to taste Chinese dishes during the Mid-Autumn Festival, so I chose Jialinlou to try Cantonese dim sum. The restaurant is Shanghai-themed. Inside, you can see that its decoration is consistent with wooden elements, and it is decorated with Chinese screens, teapots, etc., and is equipped with old Shanghai music. The overall design makes people feel like they are in the city. in. And since the night of the visit was the Mid-Autumn Festival, lanterns were placed more intimately on the table to make customers feel the festive atmosphere. Canapes The pre-dinner snack is the restaurant’s well-known nuclear coconut crisp, wrapped in syrup, and sprinkled with white sesame seeds, which is very attractive. The mouth is crispy, crispy, sweet, and not sticky to the teeth at all. The more you chew, the more intense the flavor will be. Red Shrimp Xiaolongbao The Xiaolongbao is a limited-time limited style. Its skin is crystal clear, and its thin body is so thin that the filling is faintly visible. The taste is soft and waxy. The soup inside is red, full and rich, overflowing the mouth. The ingredients are made of Mediterranean Sicilian red shrimp Made, the taste is rich and sweet, slippery and tender. Chunfeng Shrimp Rolls This rice roll is also a well-known dim sum in the store. Its outer layer is thin and soft, the middle layer is crispy and fresh, and the inner layer is filled with shrimp meat. The shrimp only has fresh spring teeth, which is sweet and tender. Several layers are matched with the same food chewing order. The taste is rich in layers. Shrimp Siu Mai Three pieces of siu mai in a cage. They are hot when served. You can taste the fillings at the entrance. The meat is smooth and delicious, rich in meaty aroma, and the top of each siu mai is topped with fresh shrimp, which makes the whole thing more refreshing and elastic. The taste adds sweetness and umami. Hungarian Curly Pork Barbecued Pork Bun The outer layer of the barbecued pork bun is white and thin, and the taste is loose and soft. The filling is made of curly pig from Hungary. The meat is fresh, fragrant and smooth, with a slight meat taste, and the sauce is slightly salty, but fortunately it is still acceptable. Within range. Bird's Nest Lobster Soup with Lobster and Goldfish Dumplings This dim sum is one of the main products in the store. The master made its appearance into a goldfish look. The shape is cute and delicate, and it is very suitable for punching in and taking pictures. The skin of the goldfish dumplings is moderately thin, and the inner layer is stuffed with lobster meat. The overall taste is smoky and elastic, soft and waxy. The other ingredients are white radish and bird's nest. Both ingredients are dipped in lobster soup to taste, so the color is orange-red, the taste is full, the salty fragrance is delicious, the radish is fragrant and soft, and the bird's nest is smooth and mellow. Snow Mountain Black Pepper Wagyu Bun The shape of the buns is semicircular, and the color is beige and white with yellow. It is named because of its similar appearance to snow mountains. The outer crust is crispy and fragrant, the filling and beef are tender and juicy, soft and sweet, and it exudes a strong black pepper smell when chewed. Piaoxiang dried abalone and lotus leaf rice The golden-colored lotus leaf rice is topped with an abalone, and it looks expensive and beautiful. It is also a delicious dish. The rice is well prepared, with distinct grains and rich taste, but unfortunately the taste is too salty. Abalone is thick and crispy, fragrant and sweet. Snow swallow, dried orange peel and osmanthus stewed Sydney When the crystal clear sugar water is served on the table, you can smell the fragrance. It is nourishing and sweet when you drink it. The taste has the aroma of osmanthus. The Sydney pear is also stewed so soft and delicious. In summary, the restaurant’s decoration is elegant and noble, full of the nostalgic atmosphere of old Shanghai, and the dishes are exquisite and beautiful. It is also suitable for punching in and taking pictures. The quality and taste of the food are in line with expectations, but some of the sauces are slightly salty and slightly salty. Improvement will make progress.

Not an ordinary priced restaurant but I feel the overall experience worth for every dollar I spend there. Dim sum are in top quality. I especially like the baked sago custard pudding 焗西米布甸。The restaurant used chestnuts instead of lotus seed which gave the dessert a lighter but more complex taste.

Fine dining Chinese restaurant offering a great variety of food. The Peking duck was very nice as they sliced the meat and the skin for you to choose. The meat was so lean and tender, definitely delicious. Another must try was the baked stuffed crab with cheese, so tasty! The cod and the sticky rice were cooked perfectly too. Also the staffs were friendly and attentive. It’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay. Highly recommend!

Booking process is easy. Spacious tables, maybe due to COVID-19. Foods delivery is prompted. Unfortunately, one order (steam bbq buns) was missing. Serving staff is well-trained & experience. The place offers -15% if paid by some particular credit cards.

Classy restaurant - yes but I find it very weird to have English tea serving sets - disappointing. Decor is elegant. I like the roast goose. Mom likes the BBQ honey glazed pork. Both of us agree that the Pork belly is a failure. The tim sum 3 piece lunch set is interesting. I did enjoy it. I must say they have quite a selection of tea. Might come here again just to have tea.. 😬

🌟Michelin Cantonese restaurant at The Peninsula Hong Kong. Great dim sum selections and all were prepared in traditional Cantonese style but with different kinds of premium ingredients. Black truffles, pork from Hungary, lobster from Sicily...... so special and MUST TRY. Service is professional and attentive, I never had to refill my tea. (Basic but not many restaurant actually succeed to do so) I’d love to comeback for dinner soon!

  • 3/5 Joseph C. 3 years ago on Google
The restaurant was famous for their mooncakes. Interior decoration remained its original look few decades ago. Service was excellent and all staff were well trained and experienced. The dim sum set menu was costly, about $800 per person. After the lunch, there was no feeling of full. The quality was just average and a bit salty for me.

I tried the staycation set dinner, it is unexpectedly good! The bbq pork is must try! It is so sweet and soft, just like melting in the mouth! The fish broth is not so salty, it got the original fish flavor, very healthy option The stir fried prawn with truffle sauce is very bouncy, with rich truffle flavor, yummy! And the veggies mixed is very good too! The signature fried rice is the best that I had, it got lots ingredients like scallops, bbq pork, Sakura shrimps, shrimps.. etc, the fried rice isn’t so oily but with rich flavor. The mango sweet soup is so refreshing and the cookies are very crispy. We had a great time!

Tried the tasting menu priced at HK$ 698 per person (subject to 10%service charge) All dishes were delicious, except for sweetened almond cream with nostoc which lacked flavour. The price was not low but the dishes and services were worth the price.

More like 3.5 to 4. Dim sum were good but not impressive. The good part of it is that relative to other expensive dim sum places, they have traditional dim sum without all the fancy stuff (like adding abalone on Siu mai/egg tart). Service was fair but not great.

  • 2/5 Katherine F. 1 year ago on Google
It was a poor experience. The soup had no taste except saltiness! The waitress didn't listen to me to bring a pot of hot water but only wanted to change our pot of nice tea to some mediocre tea! That tea was tasteless! It was supposed to be dark color anyway, but she asked if it's too dark for me!!!! She really needs retraining! The others were polite and fine! Food was social as compared to my previous few times! I was really disappointed! Maybe their chef migrated overseas!!

High class Chinese restaurant in Peninsular Hotel. Service is great, they could memorize the dishes without iPad/ paper when we order. For food, all are tasty 👅 Barbecued pork, peking duck 🦆are perfect, . It’s really soft and juicy. Highly recommend barbecued pork. The only bad is price is high, but it is “5-star hotel” price, maybe come once per year only.

One Michelin star Chinese restaurant, Spring Moon, located in the famous and posh Peninsula Hotel Hong Kong. The menu is quite extensive and quite mind blowing. Must haves at this restaurant are the Hungarian Mangalica barbecued pork, char siu, it melts in your mouth, it’s that good! And also have to try the steamed whole crab claw with egg white and aged Chinese wine, and for dessert, we also ordered the baked tapioca pudding with chestnut, immensely satisfying. Not to mention the service is also exceptional. We have eaten here numerous times and I highly recommend this restaurant!

  • 5/5 Gerald C. 11 months ago on Google
Heard so much about Spring Moon and after so many prior visits to HK, we decided to make a visit to Spring Moon. From reservations to our actual lunch, everything was done in a superb manner. Marco was the one who emailed me and recommended dishes that I might wish to possibly reserve for our lunch. On our visit, we were made to feel very warm and welcomed to our table. Service was impeccable and our main server for the day was Jerry. He came by numerous times to check on us and how was our dinning experience. We saw that the hotel was serving dumplings so we decided to ask if we could have them for lunch since it was supposed to be a takeaway item. Jerry checked with the chef and made sure we got our item abet he had to stress it would take some time like an hour but we were fine with waiting. Food wise, everything was tastefully done from the setting to the appearance and the taste itself. From the explanation of the sauces to use to the dish itself. The server was on task for the tea, moving the pot back to the counter to top up and to make sure our tea was hot all the time. Nice. We had some dim sum which was good and we had from the main menu, the crab claw which was well worth what we paid for. Sweet and succulent to the last bite. The BBQ pork was great. I must say that I had three versions in the last 3 days from Tin Lung Heen, Man Wah and Spring Moon and all three tasted great. But if I was to choose one, I would go for Spring Moon’s one. It had that extra sweet taste in it. Dessert was almond cream and it was good. Even my wife who doesn’t usually take almond tried a few spoons before passing me to finish up the rest which I duly obliged. What made our lunch extra special was what Jerry had prepared for us while serving the dessert. We received a lovely platter with delicious mini egg tarts and a kind of “kueh” to mark our wedding anniversary. I mean it was thoughtful enough as they didn’t need to do that. Not all places would do that. Probably if you ordered some desert with cake, they might add in some wordings but kudos to Jerry. Definitely would come back again on our next trip to HK. Well worth all the hype and the food and service was top notch. In fact I feel that a 4.3 review is kinda unfair to them. This was at least on par with what we experienced in Man Wah and Tin Lung Heen.

My friend and I recently dined here, with high hopes, considering its Michelin star reputation. However, the experience left us somewhat underwhelmed. The restaurant's elegant ambiance and attentive service were impeccable, living up to its luxury reputation. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the food. Despite the high prices, the dishes were surprisingly average and failed to leave a lasting impression. It's hard to justify the cost when we felt we could have enjoyed better meals at a lower price elsewhere in the city. They may excel in their setting and service, but it falls short in terms of delivering a remarkable culinary experience for the price. For those seeking a Michelin-starred restaurant that truly wows the taste buds, you might want to explore other dining options in Hong Kong.
