It has been 4 years since I dined at Ding Dim and 4 years later they have moved to a bigger and better location on Wyndham Street. This new location is an advantage as there are no other dimsums nearby except Dragon I. The menu is much the same but I like the dimsum sets which has most of the popular dimsums for sampling at $85 with vegetarian options. The dimsums came pretty fast after giving them my order. I love the hargaus as each one was plump and springy loaded with fresh prawns. My next favourite was the fried dumplings with foie gras, a lovely dumpling that brings back memories of my visit on Elgin. The pan fried sweet and sour beef patty was really appetizing especially the sweet and sour sauce which tastes just as good as the sweet and sour in Chinatown. I was nice and full after I had the steamed spare rib rice.

As a local resident, the dim sum in this place taste awful. I wonder why the foreigners are liking this place. I ordered the food from this place today. Food is blend, dim sum full of fat, and most importantly, i found a cockroach leg on my custard bun. Really lost my apeptitie... i trusted the review here but turns out this place almost make me vomit. People should AVOID this restaurant!!!

3 stars because of the attitude. They just throw everything on your table without even saying anything, maybe they were in a hurry as it was 45mins before the closing time, but still that’s quite unacceptable. Food was okay, though.

Amazing dim sum restaurant. Was full of locals when we arrived which we always take as a good sign! Ordered two of the set menus. Plenty of food for two. Highlights were the spring roll, sweet bun and sticky rice pocket in the lotus leaf. Came for the dim sum and left with some new favourites!

Tried during lunch. Love their Siu Mai and Spring Rolls. Can skip egg tarts.

Delicious dim sum and fast service. I really loved the prawn dumplings and pork bun. My favourite were the beef balls on bean curd sheet, there were bouncy and juicy. The one person set plate is good value, enough for an small to average size eater. Seating upstairs is really comfortable and a bit quieter compared to the ground level. It’s also nice that they have a toilet inside the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) It was delicious. However, I thought vegetables dim sum was a leek dim sum, because it was a spice-rich vegetable. (Original) 맛있었습니다. 다만 야채 딤섬은 부추딤섬 생각했는데 향신료 들어간 야채라 향이 강했습니다.

The place was larger than the old shop. The quality of dim sum was still good. Price was moderate. Cash, octopus card, and credit card (over 200 dollars) were acceptable. Paper boxes were used for takeaways. Previously plastic boxes were used which was better for dim sum with soup and deep fried food. Nice bamboo chopsticks and spoons were provided. The bowls provided in the eatery were a bit small and could not hold some dim sum, which were larger in size. Hot tea was quite good. Beers were available.

Great Dim Sum at 10% Service Charge. Friendly Staff. I like the Baked BBQ Pork Bun. It not easy to find such places near LKF. It's also listed on TripAdvisor with the certificate of excellence at the entrance. I will definitely come there again.

***Set Meal- Good Value for money and Good taste*** In this Set Meal, the SIU MAI with BLACK TRUFFLE TOPPING was the best item. The Siu Mai itself was already quite good but the truffle just lent it that extra flavor😋....definitely I would go for truffle topping again.👍🏻The Quail Egg topping is also intriguing so perhaps I might want to add that too. The BEEF BALL on bean curd also deserves a mention.👍🏻The SPRING ROLL was crispy and tasty.... perhaps a bit oily but I guess one would expect that since it’s deep fried. The DUMPLING with VEGETABLE and SHRIMP had a slightly pungent flavor (from vegetables) and it was perfect😋. The PAN SEARED GREEN CHILI PEPPER was spicy as expected and had a very tasty stuffing inside it😋

Delicious dim sum dumplings! I've never had so juicy and delicious dumplings before. Pork bun is amazing also - salty inside and sweet outside. Hot tea is complimentary on every table. Super wide variety of delicious dumplings. I took also steamed Pork which was delicious also. Definitely not my last visit there.

All the food we ordered was average EXCEPT for the har gow. It is definitely one of the best we've had. I would go back and only order THAT to be honest. Whole shrimp and chewy skin + add chili 😩💯 Also be ready to share tables. A plus for extroverts like me, we met 2 lovely ladies from Osaka. 😉

Such an underrated place. Honestly felt their Sui Mai and Hargow were the best ever tasted. Well priced and had lots of options to choose. Also a fan of their custard buns. Food took some time to arrive but otherwise can’t note any cons. Have gone back multiple times as was such a fan.

Easy menu. All plates contain food, and the menu is in 5 languages (Cantonese, English, Korean, Japanese, Russian). You just choose cross on the other menu and they bring to your table. Highly recommended.

The food was really nice! The pork and prawn were fresh. The baked bbq pork buns were not as good as Tim's, less crispy, but in total, worth a visit

Ding Sim 1968 os a great small bar that I would highly recommend for snack/dinner. It's a chain restaurants and soon will be in Philippines China and Malaysia. Variations of food a good price is amazing, and I can highly recommend Set meal C1 and C2 plus Taking Tao beer that is light and refreshing. When you come in and seat you will read the menu (English available) and then tick on order list what you want (they on you table see photo) and wait for your food. Eating eat base 10% service charge, take out is extra 1$. Internet password is on order menu.

Good dim sum place for a reasonable price. Dim sums are fresh but the portion is a little bit small, just order more since there are quite various items we can enjoy.

Terrible foods, one of the worst dim sum in HK! Very greasy beef patties. Beef balls is so mushy that I never had this texture before with no taste. Sui Mei with black truffle is just full of fats inside. Will never go back again.

Best dim sum in the city. The shrimp Hakao was incredibly fresh and the xiao Long bao massive and delicious. The highlight was the truffle siumai, awesome combination! The bbq pork buns and mini eggs tarts were good too. The stir fried radish with xo sauce was a tad bland and so were the stirfried Bak choy. Come for the dim sum, highly recommended! Friendly staff too.

Visit here with the promotion by eatigo. Price was really cheap with discount. Taste is generally okay. Spring roll was the most impresive dim sum we have in a restaurant. DimDimSum is better than this but Ding Dim is still acceptable quality and price.

This is the only free place in the whole area which served dim sum. I made a mistake and did not book any table for the Saturday evening going out. I went around five places and this was my last hope. The food was good! The shrimp dim sum was very tasty and tender!! There were a lot of shrimp filling inside!! And the dough was not too thick. The sauces were free and come in a little packets. You could mix and match them to your liking. However the beef tripe was not my thing at all. I’ve never tasted it before and it didn’t impress me.
