First time dining here, not sure what to try, the staff are really nice giving recommendations. Lunch buffet provides wide range of delicious food, the dosa is superb. Delightful experience, highly recommended.😋😋😋

You have to find the entrance! It's on the first floor and the entrance is not on Luard Street! But the food was excellent and the service very good. I was here on an Eatigo discount so the food was good value. It was a bit dry, but very tasty, and I don't know enough about Indian food too know if it was meant to be so dry. But no complaints! If this review is helpful please like.

Excellent food and service, the portion sizes are big! Only negative is that the red chutney dipping sauce on the right had a metallic after taste, otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars from me. Recommended and I’ll definitely be back.

I have rarely given such a poor rating to any eatery. This joint deserves a zero star. Poor service is an understatement. Took them 60 minutes to serve a dosa. Editing the review since couldn't find an option to add a response - Firstly would have truly appreciated if you could have taken some time to respond as much you took to serve the order wrongly twice. Secondly am not amazed with the audacity you used to hastily respond to this review, to pamper your instincts, at the cost of the delays to those guests who are still dining at your restaurant, which again am sure was unavoidable as per your belief. Sir would like to say no goodwill lasts forever with a poor service, especially when the clients pay a luxurious amount for a below average service. It's time you own up to goof ups and learn to earn at own costs and not those guests who step in with an image of the GOOD woodland.

Vegetarian Indian food place In wanchai. Service is good. Food is delicious. Staff is friendly! They have a special family dosai. It’s huge!!! 4ft long and I would say enough for 4 people with some side dishes!

Food was awesome - can feel the ingredients in every bite - friendly service with positive smile. The shakes, Lassi could be better not upto the price 👎🏼

How do you spell authentic Indian food? WOODLANDS! Yes, it’s vegetarian, but if you are a lover of Indian food, this place is a must. The flavours are amazing, the portions are perfect and the service is good. The dishes can be on the spicy side, so if you don’t like spicy- you will want to ask for mild - and that would be my only critique of this wonderful restaurant.

This is a new restaurant of woodland apart from Tsim Sha tsui. The South Indian cuisine and Indian cousins are best here. You also get vegan options. Its on the first floor. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Woodlands is one of the original Indian vegetarian restaurants in Hong Kong. They opened their original branch in TST East in 1981 and have been a popular fixture there since. Recently, they opened up this new branch on Luard Road in Wanchai, taking over the premise formerly used by Khana Khazana. Opening hours are 11.30am to 3pm (lunch) and 6pm to 11pm (dinner) and have a considerably larger seating area then what you find at this place in TST East. Had lunch for the first time at the new Woodlands recently and happy to report that they offer the same menu and seem to be doing a nice job ensuring the food quality is up to the standards as what you find at their original place. On the occasion I had their veg samosa and chili paneer, both very tasty as was the Madras style coffee. All worth ordering again. I very much enjoy the thali sets at the main Woodlands. These are good portion size, plenty of curry bowls and bread to feed a couple of people each. Other regular orders that I find really good include the vada pav (starter), Gobi Manchurian (signature) and various curries, rice and naan - all of which are good veg only dishes. In the end, Wanchai has ok Indian restaurants but not much that stands out. Very good to see Woodlands opening up on the island side, filling the void left when Khana Khazana closed down a couple years ago. Really hope they live up to the expectations we have of their main restaurant. If so, they should do fine at this new place.

Very tasty indian veggie. If you like Brantos in TST, you will love KK. Great buffet during the week with a good selection of starters, mains, dessert and fruit; ccompanied by naan, dosa and a soft drink the price is really reasonsable. The whole family enjoy going here.

Clean and well-kept place, with good looking food. Atmosphere is more lunch- type. Located on 1st floor. I had al Food might be a little bit to spicy for Europeans. I had a la carta, but at lunch time there should be a buffet. Prices are a bit higher than expected.

They hosted a special food festival to welcome Kerala New Year, where they served authentic South Indian food the traditional way - on banana leaves. The food was incredible. Be it sambhar, rasam, chutney, rice or the multitude of other dishes, everything was delicious. This new place (in Wan Chai) is better and bigger than their older branch (in TST), in terms of taste of food, available space and ambience. This is the first time I visited the new branch. Disclaimer: My review is based on my experience during this special food festival. I have not yet tried their regular menu though. However, given the incredible quality of food I got to taste, I will definitely go back there again to try their other dishes as well.

Amazing time at Woodlands as always! We had a last minute surprise 50th bday dinner we had to put to together and I had to quickly think of something to do. Having realized woodlands was just around the corner and that there was a 4ft dosa special that would be the ultimate bday cake, we headed over. I secretly spoke to the manager and he did everything he could to make the moment just perfect by adding a candle to the giant dosa, came out with all the staff to singing, and recommended the perfect amount of food for us! Thank you for making our night and most importantly, helping our buddy feel so happy at his impromptu bday party!

Indian vegetarian cuisine. English speaking staff. Comfortable and quiet environment during dinner time. Not crowded. Menu in three languages, English, Chinese and Indian. Helpful staff explain dishes clearly. Buffet is served during lunchtime.

It was a pleasant first visit to this pure vegetarian restaurant. As it was lunch time a lunch buffet was on for $108 which was very reasonable given the variety of food on offer. However with most buffets the food had been out for a while so I opted to order from the a la carte menu. The service was very good and the restaurant was very clean and presentable. The food had good flavours and tasted fresh. The pani puri was lacking a punch however the paneer tikka masala and garlic naan was very good. Thank you.

Absolutely gorgeous food and generous portions. Plan to come on a Saturday for the thali (Saturdays only). Really a worthwhile placecto eat. Lots of choice and lovely tastes. All vegetarian but I can't see meat eaters feeling uncatered for as it's so scrumptious.

Me and my fam came on a Friday evening with a starving stomach. We are soooo happy with the food. We've got a roasted potatoes, okras, spinach paneer, Mushroom Dosa, butter Naan and a pani puri. Food was amazing. I loved the dosa, perfect flavors. My mom came 2nd time for the pani puri. For drinks, we've got a yum mango Lassi, a masala tea and a fruit punch. The staffers were very attentive and friendly, thanks Fatima and her bro for the recommendations of food. I will definitely recommend this to my friends. ☺️

This is probably the best Indian food I've ever eaten, I arrived not even that hungry but I devoured the food, so good! The lemon rice is amazing. Highly recommended even if you're not a vegetarian, your tastebuds will thank you 😄

Hidden gem in Wan Chai. If you like Indian food, this is the place to go. Offers delicious options for vegans. Restaurant on 1st floor so not so visible from street level. Just look up when you arrived at destination on Google Map. Specialty includes multiple variations of Dosa!

Woodlands - Wan Chai had arranged for Vishu Sadhya - south Indian festival Thali. It had a very good, authentic taste, well presented, and a great experience. Great job done by the management team for organizing this special lunch. Looking forward to visiting their restaurant to try the regular menu and their 4 feet dosa .

Nice vegetarian cosy restaurant with a good variety of dishes. Excellent paneer and eggplant curry. The service was helpful and attentive, one staff member was able to speak English. Only negative note: the mango lassi is the price of a small main, and rice is very overpriced.

Very good Indian food. We visited HK for a week and tried several Indian restaurants. This was by far the best. We ordered via Ubereats before actually dining in. Ubereats is a good option for indian tourists. They have a delivery charge of approx. 20HKD which is nominal. We tried the buffet lunch while dining in and it was brilliant.

Sunday lunch, waited for our food for 40 minute, ended up having to cancel half the order because we couldn’t wait any longer. Only the manager was nice, other staff were so busy they just ignored us, and service was SUPER SLOW, even after got the bill we waited forever for someone to pick it up. We’re vegan and we’re excited to try the food, but the slow service was extremely disappointing. Being busy on a weekend is expected, but busy enough to ignore your customers for this long is not.

The Family Dosa: 4 feet, the longest in town. Weekday Lunch buffet: $118 per person. Very good value. It is a strictly Vegetarian Indian Restaurant. It has a very colourful and Casual atmosphere. Very cheerful dining experience.

Great food will visit again soon. Woodlands opened their branch in wanchai making it convenient for island side peeps who had to travel to tst every time. They have great vegetarian food and on top of that have a vegan menu as well. Recommend: Pav Bhaji, Pani puri, dosa, vada
