Although the burrata with tomato gazpacho lacked seasoning, the roasted artichoke was a perfect appetizer with crispy skin that tasted like a roasted potato. The grilled corn topped with loads of parmesan was pretty yummy. As a cavatelli lover, their tiger prawn cavatelli was heavenly, cooked to the perfect al dente texture. The Wagyu flat iron is a must-try, grilled to perfect medium and served with delicious sides of confit baby potatoes, king mushrooms, and anchovy butter that enhanced the flavor of the wagyu. The tiramisu was rich and moist with a delicious coffee flavor, while the carrot cake was decently sweet with a balanced taste thanks to the addition of a little bit of salt. The vanilla gelato was also yummy. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would definitely recommend this place for a satisfying meal.

Good quality food, I loved the Jerusalem artichoke, perfect balance meal. And the beef check pappardelle which is very good especially to pare a nice glass of wine. The wine selections superb, huge Italian selection, hidden gem from any region. The sommelier is ready to impress you giving you the best paring

Meals out have been few and far between in the last few months due to the virus that shall not be named, so I’m really glad I picked this one. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere is good and I like the underground cellar feel of the whole place. Chicken liver latte was delicious and I’m usually a fan. Sprouts beautifully done. Crab pasta full of flavour and great seasoning. Wagyu was totally awesome with the mushrooms. Probably the only weak link was the sea bas as the vegetable side just didn’t seem to go. We did have this after the steak, so the taste bud competition was tough. I hope all my meals out are as tasty as this one from now. It is expensive, so watch out for the bill. The only improvement could be the music, 70s middle of the road bands are ok, but not on a loop!

Good deal and good visual. Lunch set is quite nice. But i found the sauce is too salty. Not the best quality beef. However service and ambience were awesome!

Quaint, quiet, attentive. Pasta was excellent and lunch set is good value. Worth visiting again. Previously went for dinner as well, and overall, good value. Pasta overall was done very well, as was the steak.

Both food and wine are great. Small restaurant with a long table shared amongst the dinners. Quite noisy if it's fully seated. They have a private dinning room available with a minimum charge. Their dinner set is value for money. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Will definitely go back again.

Great food and friendly staff. The place is a bit noisy though as it's in the basement. Good to go with friends.

Serving really good pasta, but is it like Hong Kong Style that you simply can’t get good service plus food all at once? Seems like you have to order all courses to get respect here. The interior could be improved too, feels like random Ikea tables. For the tiramisu, if you couldn’t sprinkle cocoa powder clearly with your restaurant logo, you could: re-sprinkle it, or skip the logo part but not serving your customer an imperfect one though.

Mid price, borderline modern Italian restaurant tucked away in central. Nice wine list, very helpful sommelier, and very above average food overall. Hidden gem

Visited recently whilst travelling in Hong Kong and found this little nugget which has a great vibe. We stayed a few hours and ordered the chefs menu, received great service and the food was plenty and delicious.

Very good service with great food and wine. Has the European vibe of eating in a cave.

Flavourful food. Good wine. Love their pasta. Helpful sommelier. A very busy place even during covid19! Book the private dining room if your group wants to hear each other. Will return to try their desserts!

The food was averagely good, the pasta was a little bit of let down tho. Appreciated that it was handmade pasta but would be better if the sauce is on a creamy base. The wagyu is pricy but the texture is wonderful. It would be better if food is served hotter and more prompt. The environment was crowded, and surely without the 1.5m restrictions. The bar table wasn’t exactly a comfortable seat. Staff service could have improved.

🍽 Wagyu steak and other dishes 💰 HK$300 per person (lunch, 10% service charge) One of the restaurants on my to go list, 121BC in central. The entrance located at a slope and took me a while to find it, no thanks to google maps. We were welcomed by the staff upon our arrival and talked us through the menu and their signature dishes. We ended up ordering the parma ham, lamb ribs, two dishes of pasta and their signature wagyu steak. The parma ham was decent and the pasta were quite nice as well, however the main focus of the meal was the wagyu steak. It was served medium rare and very flavourful. At the same time the steak did not feel too filling for each bite. I enjoyed the wagyu on its own however it was also served with some anchovy gravy which I was not a fan of. The gravy was a bit too fishy for my taste and did not match the steak in my opinion. I prefer old fashioned horseradish sauce or mustard instead. The portion of the steak was also slightly smaller than expected which was a bit of a surprise for me as it looked bigger in the pictures. Overall, I think this restaurant is worth a visit if you have never been before but can also explore other italian restaurants in Central.

We first got to know 121BC many years ago when they first opened on Peel Street, coming back to this place in its new location and it’s clear the venue is not the same as the last. Losing some of its old vibe and replaced by a more wholesome charm. It is now more a casual family eatery rather than a hip and vibrant destination, especially considering it’s new basement location. However, the food was a pleasant surprise being simple and overall good but perhaps could benefit from less salt overall. It’s priced towards the upper end but not concerns from us. Overall, okay.

Authentic Italian Food 🇮🇹 Went there on a Friday night, the restaurant was super packed and only bar table was available. Service was quite good as the bar tender actually took up waiters’ roles and help us take care of the food orders 👍🏻 Scallop and Hamachi $248 Yuzu, shiso oil, ikura ➡️ Tasted as expected, nothing exciting, but still a refreshing start of the meal. Wagyu Flat Iron $378 Ratte potato, oyster mushroom, anchovy butter ➡️ The anchovy butter is so legit🔥 Literally taking the flat iron to another level! 🤩 Also tried a special Italian red wine made from Ruche grape. On the palate was like a fruit boom 💥 filled with ripe red fruits like cherry, raspberry, strawberry 🍓🍒 Highly recommended if you want a bottle of red during the meal 😎 🍷: Ferraris 'Clasic' Ruche di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG
