They're closing! Lucky we were able to book their farewell dinner before they closed (renovation? Complete revamp?) My favorite place for drinks, meals and chocolate, I will miss my go-to for sure. We ordered their $1200 farewell wine pairing set, with an extra order of half dozen oysters. I honestly think their normal menu was much better. My favorite is always the coffee chocolates and pastry. The passion fruit souffle was good too.

Salute to the service and the killer harbor view. All dishes ordered are well prepared. The sauces that complement some of the dishes, I have to say, are the highlights of our meal. the brown sauce that came with our sweet potato fries (we tasted vanilla, some sort of cherries, vinegar, cream) was so good. So was the olive-oil-vinegarish butter that came with the complimentary bread. Service wise, we ordered a medium rare steak which came out a bit on the more cooked side. And the restaurant re-made the steak (a perfectly done one) with the previous one given on the house.

one of the best landscapes and spectacular harbor view ever from hong kong island. Fair price of afternoon tea costs $480 for 2. Excellent and delicate tableware and equipment, however, service doesn't act like a luxury hotel that makes not perfect

Bar only review. I like this bar. Of all the times I have gone, (usually as a walk in) I have never experienced anything but great service. Found the staff happy and attentive. Drinks menu is very well put together and they will make you something by request as well. And, the view is something else.

visited on Sat. the bread and pastries are nice, overall with the view there is still good. but really want to mention (blame) is the “East xx Brunch” (square plate in middle of one photo) is not worth at all!! prices at hkd3xx with only 6 pieces of very normal dim sum and taste nothing :( (a lesson learned to never order oriental food at western-styled restaurant) the steak at similar price must be much better.....

One of my favourite spots for brunch in Hong Kong. Having not coming back for a few months, the food quality remained high and of course the view is still stunning. The brunch menu had many classic Café Gray Deluxe dishes such as the beef tartare and the burger. It also had new dishes on the menu such as the Tarte Flambee, Short Ribs Eggs Benedict and Elderflower Crème Brulee. The bread as always was fresh and crispy. The Steak Tartare was also refreshing and seasoned nicely with more of a sweet taste than other steak tartare. Which made it taste unique and delicious. The Short Ribs Eggs Benedict was served after being thrown in the salamander/oven to toast off the hollandaise sauce and the short ribs sauce. The eggs were done to perfection and the muffins were soft and fluffy. Unfortunately the short rib served between the egg and muffin was too sweet. The short rib itself was flavourful and succulent. But when combined with the already rich hollandaise sauce, the combination didn't work as well as other classic toppings like smoked salmon or Canadian ham. Mostly due to the intense sweetness from the short rib. If the short rib was more savoury, I think the Eggs Benedict would have tasted much better. The Tarte Flambee was done nicely, it was crispy and the bacon on it was flavourful. Instead of just grating it on the salad in the middle of the Tarte. It would have been perfect if the black truffle was grated more generously covering more of the Tarte. The elderflower crème brulee was soft and very "custardy". The caramel crust was thin and crispy. The highlight of the dish was definitely the rose champagne sorbet, which was divine. It would have been even better if there was more elderflower flavor on the crème brulee. All in all, amazing experience with attentive staff and the food were delicious. And the chocolate at the end of the meal is always a treat.

We had Xmas dinner there. The food was average. Not worth for 5k. Staff service not professional enough. Feels like you were having dinner at The One restaurants. But the view is very nice.

Had the NYE gala dinner. What can I say? From the starter to the dessert, PERFECT! A special mention goes to the oxtail consomme beet ravioli and the oh-so-fresh grapefruit soup with bitter chocolate sorbet. They were exquisite!! And the waiters -amazing. They discreetly handled difficult situations regarding the fireworks viewing spots and exceeded our expectations with their friendliness! You will not regret visiting Cafe Gray Deluxe!

One of my favorite brunch spots in HK! Located on the top floor of the Upper House boutique hotel in HK, Café Gray offers a very nice location for upscale brunch with a view of HK island. They usually offered an option of 2-3 course brunch. Our favorites include the papaya salad (appetizer). We were expecting the Thai style papaya salad (“somtum”) but this was a nice surprise where the papayas were served as fresh fruits , which made for a very refreshing healthy dish. For mains, we got their famous shepeard pie and a classic eggs dish. Both are done well. For dissert, we got the six colored ice cream, which tastes “ok” but the look more than makes up for it. It’s served in a pretty flower set of cups with varying flavor and color. They also gave complementary chocolate to fnish off the meal. Starter bread and coffee are both average. At night, Café Gray also makes for a perfect drinks / social spot to catch-up with friends and observe the beautiful HK skyline. Reservations needed.

Great fish dishes. They offer a 2 / 3 course Prix fixe menu during lunch. Excellent staff who are able to speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin
