Restaurant Mandarin restaurant Sichuan restaurant

😠 Not authentic Sichuan food - barely mediocre at best. Pork was too salty, Dan Dan noodles were soggy. Very small portions and highly overpriced. They also force you to order $40 bottled waters because they don’t serve tap water. Not worth your time or money to come here. People often mention Sichuan, good, dish,

A good but unremarkable Sichuan restaurant, very conveniently located. Competition for good Sichuan food is high in HK, this one is above average but short of exceptional

The servers were prompt and polite, and efficient however the food was very very average. The price was extremely high for the the food. Two people, 3 dishes - kung pao chicken, chili & beans, fried rice. Two small bottles of water. No alcohol the bill came to $931 HK. I can't imagine how much it would have been if we had seafood and a couple beers? There are just way to many good restaurants in the area with the same quality of food for much less. I guess i should have known, there was no one else in the restaurant on a saturday night at 7 pm. Bottom line. Ok food at really high prices.

To steal a line from Andrew below "A good but unremarkable Sichuan restaurant". Couldn't be more accurate. Dishes are at least good but far out nearly $160 AUD for food only just as good as some low key Sichuan haunts in Melbourne that would run at $60 max. Still....I don't think good Sichuan is that easy to find in HK (Singers heaps easier - go figure?).

We came here for lunch today as we have heard a lot of good comments about this place. This restaurant is at the heart of soho and there are nice decoration (artworks & lights).a lot of history about this place, the drawings on the walls were also done by the artist they hired. we had the four season beans veggie in Chilli, it was tasty 😋 not too much oil but the portion was great. fried chicken in chilli was also delicious, with a lot of chicken bites within the dish. my favorite was definitely the chicken in chilli oil. The chicken was moist and soft. The chilli oil wasn’t too spicy but added a bit of sweetness. Something different than the ones I usually have. this veggie dish was also refreshing and tasted great 👍 my friends Favourite was this meat wrapped cucumber dish...one of the popular dish for Sichuan cuisine. another main dish which surprised us was the knuckles with three types of peppers 🌶 great for sharing! The taste was flavorful and the meats was yummy! overall a great lunch 🍴 especially when coming with a group of friends! & also if you want to try another taste or version of Sichuan food !

Super delicious, I love they can cook extra numb to make it same as real Sichuan food 😋

Very inconsistent food quality. Can be amazing one time and then terrible next time.

It’s a rip off. Stay away from this place. The dishes they served are NOT authentic Sichuan food to begin with. But what upsets me most is the price they charge for bottled water. We were charged HKD 100 for two bottles of Vittel (50ml, retail price HKD 10/bottle). They also charged us HKD 40 for two little bowls of stale snacks which we didn’t order but was brought to us. We were also charged HKD 50 for changing a dish we ordered, which I didn’t agree to. All in all, we ended up spending HKD 581 for two small-portioned dishes, a beer, and two bottled water. It is a total rip off. Will never go back again.
