An old-school Hong Kong-style steakhouse (so don't impose the classical Western steakhouse expectations here), with an impressive history of ~60 years. It has come a long way through the ups and down of the development of the city (from being under British colonial rule, transforming into international financial center, and being handed back over to China). As a local, you will be able to pick up the signs of different times in this nostalgic place. Food is not bad, and it's got a wide range of options in the menu ranging from very affordable to moderately high. The portions are generous so the pricing is actually reasonable. Ordered the flambé steak with garlic gravy. Beef was tender and the flavour is not bad (again judging it from the standard of a HK-East-Meets-West style). Seating is comfortable and the service is proactive and attentive.

Hong Kong style steakhouse established 50+ years ago. Decorations look a little dated with a nostalgic feel. They are famous with hot iron plate steaks, and overall food quality is quite good. It can get quite crowded during lunch and dinner time, so need to queue for seats. Better come early to get a table or make a reservation.

Ate their oven cheese seafood rice. Was quite worth my momey despite being over $100. It had a lot of shrump, muscle, crab sticks, and other seafood mixed with a thick and creamy sauce. However, the fish inside it tasted quite bland, and there were 2 green bell peppers embedded in the rice, which doesn't make sense for a seafood themed dish. I also ordered a chocolate lava cake with vanilla icecream. The icrecream tasted ok, but the lava cake was a bit bitter and its texture and taste was not good at all in comparison to the many lava cakes I have tasted. Not worth my $80. Overall, the restaurant is a good place to dine in with your peers (in a more formal setting) as long as you order the right food.

Comfortable place and delicious foods. This was 2.30 pm on weekday and the set lunch was still on serving. I think we came the right place at the right time and chose the right foods. The beef cubes in black pepper sauce were tasty and soft. Most importantly, it was the memories that count.

Classic American siblings hot plate steak house at a affordable price. Since 1966, it has been a old school steak house favorites for locals. The quality of meat is reasonable for the portion and price range.

One of the very few old style Hong Kong western restaurant left. This is the first time I came. I didn't expect much but would have liked it to be at least better than average. The cooking itself is good, the Lobster Bisque soup base was good. Unfortunately the food ingredients were disappointing. I understand better ingredients cost more money, and there isn't much one could do but to increase prices. Their prices are not exactly cheap but not expensive either considering the location. Services and decor are OK. It is worth a go even just for the history but don't expect much.

A very traditional Hong Kong style steak house. You come here for the experience more than the food. The price is down to earth and got to give it to them, they make low quality steaks chewable 😂

Came here cos my mom told me about this place existing since the old days. How she used to come here ages ago. They are known for western cuisine and steaks on hot plates. After having tried it, all I can say is that it's kinda just meh. The steak's okay. Imagine the steak quality of a normal HK diner but slap the price of a mid-high end restaurant and it's a pretty accurate picture. I'm glad to experience a place where my mom had eaten at before decades ago, but probably will not come again. Cool classic atmosphere, high price for the level of quality.

Very nice lunch on Christmas Eve! Though they didn't make decorations, waiters are joyful and wish us Merry Christmas! Food is good as usual! What's more, price also usual 😁😁😁😁

A meal here to revisit the HK steak house experience. the bosch soup and sweet bread roll is the perfect match. sirloin beef on sizzling plate is as expected especially with the chips on the bottom to soak up all the sauce. the hk style lasagna may drive all the Italians insane but hey, that's something only a true honkey would understand. overall, it's an experience you mush indulge in once in a while....

I love the steak for the price here. Old school HK style steakhouse, making grilled western meat with a HK fusion to it. The skillet plates are amazing with tender steaks, and allows the food to stay hot while eating. The vegetable soup that comes with the skillet plates is also really good.

had a great chat with my friend there, however, both service and food quality is not really upto the standard they have setted by their own since the very beginning, had the steak and never quite like it... probably won't come back at all....

Not gonna be the best steak in the world but very nostalgic for sizzling plate in a meal with buttered buns, white/red soup, vegetables, rice/spaghetti, and a drink. They were okay with 3 people ordering 2 meals.

authentic HK sizzling grill experience. The ingredient/meat quality is just bad. the only good thing about the entire meal was the soup and bun Nostalgia alone is not worth the price though

Food quality and service were very so/so,. Price is a out right relatively. The atmosphere has not changed since some 30/40 years. Being there is just to recall my childhood memories

A transitional steak house since 1966. Good steak here, reasonable price and nice dinning environment. It also serves "flaming ice-cream", which is not much restaurant serving it.

Apart from the hectic front desk and catering service, this restaurant serve good steak (for that price). We have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 year. Still a good quality restaurant if you can bear the less then impressive services.

Classic Hong Kong style steak house. Offers classic sizzling steak and meat of various kind at hundred something per set. Environment is cleaner and more decent than expected. All in all, fair value for money.

Way too overrated... Supposedly a very famous old style HK style restaurant for HK style beef minute steak... we went there for lunch, and the beef tasted awful! They marinated it with way too much baking soda, there’s no texture to the meat at all! Worse, they put so much of it that it actually tasted bitter! May come back at dinner and try the steak again, but the lunch set was awful!

This old style western restaurant was famous for their grilled meat. You had to walk upstairs and the ceiling was not high. The space inside the toilets were also narrow. Limited set meals were offered during the pandemic situation. Number of staff was enough and their service attitude was active and initiative. Some drinks such as chocolate and Ovaltine could be ordered with set meals but additional charge was counted. The portion of vegetables was relatively low in the set. Price was moderately high.
