had the pleasure of dining at Peaking Garden, which serves a delicious selection of Beijing-style cuisine. The restaurant's atmosphere is comfortable and inviting, and the food is expertly prepared and beautifully presented. During my meal, there was even a noodle-making performance, which was quite entertaining to watch. The noodles were freshly made and tasted absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend Peaking Garden to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent food in a great atmosphere.

Newly renovated Peking Garden. The new decoration and setting is modern and classy. A glass booth now allow the preparation of Peking Duck to be visible. Presentation and service have seemed to improved as well. Food quality and assortment are now more in line to their flagship restaurants in the Central area. Maxim standard typically caters toward the local palate. Pricing is now about 15-20% higher than the past. Pleasant experience nonetheless.

We have booked a private room and the view from the room is overlooking 1881 heritage. The service was great and they allow us to bring our own bottles of wine without charging us corkage. The food taste yum and the presentation on some dishes are amazing. Thee prawns witn mash peas taste scrumptious. A bit pricey but does allow us to catch up.

classic beijing style cuisine. meet my expectation with this price range. service is very outstanding. staff aware we were waiting one of our friends and kindly provide a work around on that. also, give us flexibility on the menu. however, the dessert is a bit below expectation. watery. need to work on that.

Branch of the famous Peking Garden chain, but unusually, this branch offered an extensive dimsum menu during lunchtime with many northern style dimsums, as well as the local Cantonese ones. The mixture we tried were all well prepared and all very reasonably priced. The restaurant was spacious, elegantly decorated. A few tablets by the windows offered unparalleled view of the harbour, recommend to book these in advance. Service was friendly and efficient. Really nice place to drop in for a relaxing lunch. Update December 2021 Been back twice since the original review to try more dishes and downgraded it. Comparing to the branchs in Alexander House and Pacific Place, this branch clearly does not match the standards of the other two. One possible reason is during lunch times it caters for dinners coming mainly for Cantonese dimsums at competitive prices, in doing so, the chef/kitchen are not focused on the main Pekingnese menu resulting in corresponding reduction in standard.

Went there mainly for peking duck. Dined in 2 times in a week. One dinner time and one during lunch. The food standard was up on par for the price paid. The peking duck was pre-cut in the kitchen against other restaurants that cut in front of the diners and served right at the table. The braised pork belly was another favourite. Drunken chicken was juicy and tender. In daytime, there was dim sum menu. The steamed dumplings were tasty. It used to have discount on various credit cards offer. However, approaching the Chinese New Year, this offer was cancelled by the restaurant.

After a few years of missing out this restaurant, I must say it changed and has kept up with the times. Perhaps, my last visit was in the 90's wherein Im used seeing waitresses pushing dimsum carts and roast duck was actually carved infront of you. 😅 Yeah its been a while indeed 😅 The duck was still good but the flour wrap was way too paper thin, sweet and sour pork was good as well as the dimsum we ordered. I'd say its a resto that you may want to bring your touring friends to or simply a special family occassion.

First time try TST branch on New Year Day. When you walk in entrance, you will attract by the nice decoration and wall artwork. Peking duck is one of signature dishes at Peking Garden. I have ordered a serve with half duck but I am so disappointed. The Peking Duck meat is very dry and skin is not crispy. Same comment for the Pan Fried dumpling. Dumpling skin is not crispy and too oily. As an overseas vistor, our china town peking duck and pan fried dunpling are more delicious and fresh than hk. I guess Maxium needs to review their quality of signature dishes to maintain the brand of peking garden. I love the vegetarian duck dish which is recommended for

Although this place as its name suggests gains popularity because of its authentic Peking Duck cuisine but there are several other cuisines and also including vegetarian ones which one should head for to experience. We went through GoCity pass. We had our table booked and the food was quite amazing. Overall value for money.

Good Peking duck. It has a nice view but would need to book in advance if you want a window seat. There's also a noodle performance

Haven’t been here for more than 10 years. Used to be having foreign visitor to come for peking duck. This time to have first lunch in the first day of 2024. Ordered a set for 4 but portion still able to meet 5 persons need. Feel the duck and fish seems smaller than my memory however still delicious. Dishes came rush even we are the last round for lunch.

This place was okay. The hand-pulled noodles had a good texture. Service was okay for a Hong Kong restaurant (which is a different standard than a US restaurant). Also if you're from the English-speaking world, be aware that the bathroom has communal toilet paper. The bathroom has a modern aesthetic, but there isn't toilet paper in each stall. There are several rolls on the sink. I wasn't sure if you bring a roll with you and then return when done, or if you're supposed to take however many squares you want. Either way, be advised of this cultural difference.

Went here ages ago. To be honest, I haven't heard of Peking Garden until recently but apparently this restaurant has been around since 1978. The TST branch was reopened recently according to Maxim's website. Anyway, went there with relatives and expats as they had decent food to accommodate both palates which are both very different. As I went here twice, this was the second visit. At the entrance, there is an open kitchen where you can see the Peking duck being prepared behind the glass windows. Started with Sauteed prawn, scallop and sea whelk in chili sauce. It was surrounded in mash and the seafood was tasty with a fiery sweet kick. Next was the deep fried Mandarin fish in sweet and sour sauce,. The sweet and sour sauce was just right and the fish was silky. Peking Duck: Again, had this on both visits and it was consistently good. The pancakes are slightly bigger than the average ones so it helps to keep it altogether nicely. The Braised pork belly was rich in gravy and the pork belly had a perfect meat to fat ratio layering. Sauteed lettuce root with red cabbage, lotus root and carrot: Tried this dish on both visits as we had someone who was vegetarian so this was something that she could eat. Next was the Beggar's chicken which is quite a dramatic dish! First it is set alight, then you hammer it with the golden hammer to break the casing, then you get to eat the silky tender chicken which has a lovely lotus leaf aroma. The person who breaks the casing gets to keep a mini golden hammer as a souvenir. Peking fried noodles with shredded pork: For carbs had the noodles which were firm and al dente. There is a noodle demo every evening at the restaurant so you can see how they hand pull the noodles. For dessert, I was surprised at the choice and creativity. I am not fond of Chinese desserts but these were good. The Deep fried glutinous puffs with water chestnut had a good waterchestnut flavour as well as custard. The Baked mashed apple pastry were pleasing as they had a modern appearance and inside there was apple in it! Last but not least they had caramel bananas which is a Chinatown thing!!! It was encased in this crispy batter coated in caramelized sugar. As well as banana, you can also get apple in China Town. Definitely the place to go with tourists and friends from overseas as the menu has English and dishes they can relate to.

Quite delicious! We bought the set menu which gives you a number of dishes; it’s quite good value. Their duck was good but I wish they could warm the duck with candle underneath so the aircon would not cool the duck down. The soup was really tasty and the replacement of shark fins with crab is sustainable!

We came here for dim sum yesterday and it was delicious. Maybe because it's been a long while since I had dim sum, but I loved the dishes here. My in-laws were visiting from the UK and they rarely have good dim sum, so my husband insisted we bring them here, even though I suggested another restaurant. Once again, he was right. The shrimp dumplings (har gow) were my favorite. They tasted fresh and had a thin wrap, light and not oily, which my friend told me is extremely difficult to do, even for expert chefs. Some of the other dishes we also got were the shrimp rolls, which my in-laws loved, the chicken feet, specifically for my husband, and of course mango pudding for our kids. We even requested a plate of their Peking duck wraps during lunch hour, which my husband said my in-laws had to try. Service was great too, especially because it seemed like most of the servers didn't understand much English. Even though their dim sum may be a bit pricey, they're definitely worth the buck.

the last time i was in peking garden was almost 10 yrs ago for my mom's 80th. the ambience was tacky and tired with the tourists' must have performance of noodle making from scratch. the food was non descript. fast forward 10 years on, the restaurant now looks tastefully modern, and to my relief, no more noodle making stunts. the food is still not much to write home about. but at least, it provides the setting for a comfortable dining experience.

A big disappointment, it had become a total trap! We chose our all time favourite Peking duck restaurant to celebrate our family function. The service was ok but can be more welcoming. The duck was unbelievably cold, not Juicy, not much skin but meat. Fried eel was not tender. Being charged 100 for having our coffee plate sized cake thou we also ordered 3 desserts . Thiswould beour last meal ever dining here! Our family is so upset with such downgraded quality but with an expensive price tag.

I have been here many times, of course no surprise for me but also no disappointed on the food, sometimes the service is not good for a High Class Chinese Restaurant but acceptable. And there has a “Making Noodles Show” and Lighting Show so you better come before 7:45.
