Good delicious buffet, not too overwhelming like some other buffets, they offer an few less dishes but keep the deliciousness at a good quality. The service is fast and the friendly, could improve with asking if my dish was finished first. Also a little hidden outside is a BBQ grill to do some sausages and short ribs. The atmosphere was kept lively with hourly demo servings, 7pm was cutting the tuna sashimi, 8pm was cooking risotto. Recommend to try the roast section, I liked the turkey leg.

Lobsters were really fresh and the Charsiu was also solid. The outdoor bbq area was one of the unique points of their hotel (if the weather was nice, I totally recommend an outdoor seating for the vibes!)

Feb 22: we came here during Lunar New Year holiday, the hotel package including lunch and breakfast buffets. The food is good, there is sushi, sashimi, noodles, rice, dim sum….the theme is “Chinese New Year”. The special event is the cafe invited us to do “LO HEI”, it was fun. The only thing I have to mentioned is we arrived at 9:30 am (the breakfast is ready from 7:00 to 10:00), however no table is available, we have been invited to the restaurant next to the cafe and we need to go back to the cafe to take the food. Overall, it was a good experience.

Hainan Chicken rice is its signature dish, you won’t regret to taste its oily rice which mixes the flavour of chicken and rice well. Sadly, the texture of chicken meat is too tough because it is over cooked. The ambience is comfortable for family gathering but do not expect it will offer a large variety of food. Waiters are helpful but not familiar with the options of tea offered to the customers.

Nice and quiet now during the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. No more buffets, only a la carte is available. Food is above average but may not always be authentic.

The lunch buffet spread was diverse and interesting, but the Western offerings need some improvement (the duck a l'orange was too gamey, the cauliflower gratin not nearly creamy nor cheesy enough, and the grilled fish was overcooked and dry). The seafood (crab claws, prawns and mussels) was fresh and replenished very quickly. The service was a tad hasty and intrusive at times but otherwise efficient. Overall it was a great buffet lunch.

***Fresh & Varied food;Outdoor seating is nice*** Currently (Sep 2018), the “Flavors of Indonesia” offer is ongoing at the Garden Cafe @ Conrad.... so when we went there we found some authentic Indonesian dishes. But they also continued to offer many of their regular dishes too. Some of the STANDOUTS were: Steamed Fish, the BBQ station (out in the garden), Lobster gravy, Stir Fried Prawns, BBQ Pork, daily pasta special (Clams Spaghetti), to name a few. STEAMED FISH- absolutely loved it 😋 . The fish was so tender that the meat would come off with almost no effort on my part 👍🏻. I wanted to get a good PICTURE but everytime they put a new fish there, it never stayed whole for too long and was quickly PICKED APART😃by myself and other patrons (like we were sharks 🦈 or something🤣!). So, bottom line is....I couldn’t capture the whole fish. STANDOUT # 2: THE BBQ STATION The BBQ station is located outside and is included in the buffet. The BBQ’d whole fish, Prawns and the hot n juicy Lamb Chops certainly deserve multiple visits.😋👍🏻. I just wish I had gone to that station at the beginning of the meal when I had more capacity 😉. Among the OTHER STANDOUTS, I went at least TWICE for the Lobster gravy, stir fried prawns, Clams Spaghetti and the BBQ pork.⭐️ The BBQ Pork had a chewy skin and slightly caramelized taste, which was awesome😍. I must’ve refilled every time I got up from my chair😃 Clams Spaghetti was surprisingly good too- at buffets, I prefer not to take Spaghetti coz I feel I’m just wasting my appetite on something I make at home every once in a while! How wrong was I? ?😍Not sure why I decided to go for it....and it turned out to be a good decision. I have to say, overall, Conrad’s Garden Cafe may not match the size and variety of my favorite buffet at Cafe TOO (Shangri-La)..... BUT 👑 ........Garden Cafe’s buffet WINS when it comes to certain specific dishes. I admit, I haven’t had enough of those dishes yet .... and I DEFINITELY want to go to Conrad again so I can have 5-6 plates of those specific dishes😃.

I ate there for the lunch buffet. Price is ard hkd400 per person, after promotional price. Variety of food is comparatively little. Salad fruits and vegetables, and deserts are good. Seafood and sashimi are ok, but the crab leg is too salty.

Service was excellent! Waiters were very attentive and the food was always being topped up. We went for the lunch buffet. Food was fresh and there was a nice range to pick from but flavours were only okay. Edible but nothing made me want to go make for seconds.

Nice place great service. But: (1) you are pushed to finish quickly and vacate the place (two shifts per evening), and (2) the assortment of food in the buffet is less than half of what it used to be before Covid. Probably my last visit there, regretfully. I loved that place.

Had our Tuesday dinner here, service was excellent, staffs were super friendly and helpful, the food was nice, and lots of choices. Perfect dinner, sad that it was a rainy evening so the BBQ couldn't be held outdoor.

I stayed in the hotel for a week with breakfast included. The buffet is just about average, good qualities but spread is limited. Service is in general good. Sometimes I met server with an attitude . For example there is Victor who stoped me from taking a pastry upstairs. Really? So I ask him to throw it away and so he did. Wow, what a good way to start a day. The cost of staying in the hotel for 8 nights is a lot compared to the cost of a small pastry. It just gives hotel guests bad taste and that’s not very good.

Overall the taste is disappointing, especially the Chinese food by Hong Kong standards. Seafood is not very fresh except shrimp. crab legs are very salty, deep fried fish are dry and tasteless. Definitely not worth the rates.
