Been eating pai tai almost every single Bangkok 🇹🇭 trip. Really miss the Thai food, therefore, we went to this famous Thai restaurant 🍴in wan chai to enjoy our lunch. The restaurant is so spacious , can accommodate a branch of people. We ordered two sets of lunch with reasonable price up to hkd 75 or above. We chose the upgrade offer to chose another appetiser dishes which is rice paper wrapped with shrimp 🦐 Vietnamese and Thai style grilled pork skewers. Pai tai with 🦐: the presentation was good with two giant prawns, the flavour is so unique that I was thinking I am already been Thailand 🇹🇭 already. Serve with fresh lime and 🥜 mashes , stir with the tofu and rice noodle, so 😋 Thai style boneless hainan chicken 🐔 with ginger rice: chicken are tinder enough and not that fat at all, the rice carries evident flavour with lot of ginger. Chill sauce and ginger sauce are served separately. Thai style grilled pork skewers: it is really a comfort food for me , BBQ flavour so strong enough to stick on the skewers, pork is sweet coz it already preserved. Mango sticky rice: 🥭 a little bit sour, but is all right to eat with sticky rice and coconuts 🥥 milk 🥛, compare to the Thailand one, sticky rice should be a bit salty. Overall, we enjoyed a great meal here with the cozy atmosphere. Staffs are so nice and efficient with their courtesy.

A very nice atmosphere. The service seemed mediocre and one of our dishes was forgotten ...it was not toooo busy at that time either. The portions were decent and there is a large variety of food to choose from. Overall taste was standard. the plating stuck out more as visually appealing.

Delicious and relatively affordable Thai food. Overall seems quite authentic, though their menu has expanded to include some non-Thai South East Asian dishes as well. I tried the spring rolls which were just okay, but I enjoyed that they were served piping hot, fresh out of the fryer. The highlight was the satay skewers - we ordered chicken and pork, as beef isn't as environmentally friendly, and they were utterly delicious. The meat skewers were perfectly grilled, and the peanutty satay sauce was rich and full of flavour. The curry soft shell crab bread bowl was also really delicious - a think, decadent curry sauce with soft shell crab cut up into 8 pieces, cooked with vegetables like peppers and onions , served with nicely toasted bread. We finished off our dinner with coconut sago pudding which had crunchy pieces of taro and corn inside. Service was also efficient and friendly! $451 total for 2 people.

#cassiegowanchai - Valuable Thai lunch set in Wan Chai! ($75) 1️⃣Thai Style Boneless Hainan Chicken with Ginger Rice🍛 Chicken is undoubtedly a key component of the dish, but I personally think the main event is the rice, which is cooked with chicken fat and chicken stock. It’s eyes-popping. And Hainan chicken is perfectly cooked!🐥 - 2️⃣Singapore Laksa with Prawn🍲 The coconut-based spicy warm noodle soup is much appreciated during cold rainy days. The coconut milk is the first thing you taste, and then some of the herbs and spices, and at the end the spice. They use fresh herbs and spices, it seems that they make their own laksa paste. And the noodles are the best part. They are not too alkaline, and the prawn are sweet and fresh. - In addition, add $28 could enjoy a upgrade offer, and we chose chicken feet spicy salad and stir-fried Thai baby cabbage. Full lunch, Overall it was a good recommendation for Thai restaurant in HK Island.

Nice venue. Lunch deal is reasonable ($75 includes small dessert but not drink) but you can get cheaper nearby in less salubrious surroundings. The Set Lunch Meal for 4 is worth a try.

They have lunch menu $75 (wonder if they will change the menu every now and then, there was green curry on the lunch menu last time), which comes with drinks (+$3 for cold drinks) and dessert (pandan jelly). I ordered pad Thai this time, but the portion was a bit small. Don’t expect so much for this lunch menu. Will try other dishes next time since there are good reviews on those.

Fast service, food quality was ok - great depending on dish. Veggies with mushroom was just ok, the taste was great but visually just didn't look so good due to some black spots on the veggies Soft shell crab was ok but lacked some crunch to it Pad See Ew was very good and had a decent meat portion. Would come back here for casual thai food, food definitely passes (does not amaze).
