The latte coffee was fine though it was only just average by international standard as the milk that was used was ordinary quality milk. Tuna tartar was fresh, the tuna was voluptuous! Pan fried cod was excellent for those seeking a more healthy choice. Good menu assortment and their staff made special accommodations to our requests during a busy weekday. Highly recommended, already preparing for the next visit. 5 stars well deserved.

Weeknight dinner. Very peaceful and hospitable experience. Decent number of customers but the layout of the restaurant means each group has a sense of privacy. Servers attentive and considerate (Ms Jane in particular), but professional. The food was always thoughtfully balanced in terms of flavour: mushroom soup, lobster roll, and desserts were highlights for us. The keyword is 'relaxing'. Just eat, sit back, enjoy the quietness. We came for the High Tea. You can have a choice of a two person serve for 2 or just a 1 person serve for 2. If you are not that hungry and may go out to dinner later, try to share 1 set between 2 people and order an extra tea or coffee. Disappointed with the Moroccan Mint tea which hasn't got any mint fragrance. The cakes especially are quite heavy but tasty. No seating time limit, the place is not noisy, pace is relaxing, very civilised way to spend a hot afternoon.

Both Assistant Directors of F&B, Matthias and Christoph, made sure that we were really well looked after. Our favourite item has always been and still is the Hainanese Chicken Rice. A special mention also for the excellent selection of teas and the exquisite cakes and pastries. Also, the Mandarin Cake Shop items such as the rose petal jam are HK classics, and the hazelnut chocolate spread is so delicious. Highly recommend visiting the Café to enjoy first class service and some well-deserved indulgence.

Should be 4.5 stars as afternoon tea set (now 468 HKD per head) is below expectation. But their Chinese cuisine is so good (Yangzhou fried rice and hainan chicken rice). Plus service is so friendly. So it’s a 5 star. Just go there for a la carte. Yangzhou fried rice is 288 HKD which is expensive but worth a try.

Ordered the steak lunch set. Steak over overcooked but the quality of them mear sort of covered that up. Restaurants of this caliber should be able to cook a steak properly. Other than that the staff were great and atmosphere was good too.

I’m living their three course menu with the lobster basque as a starter and the steak frites as main. But the desserts of the lemon yuzu moose and classic cheesecake really sparks me. You can’t really beat the signature they have it there. It’s very moist and smooth, and the blueberries on top complimented so well with the cake. Loving the berry sauce too!

Went here ages ago when Café Causette was transformed into a “pop-up” Lyon-inspired bouchon-style bistro for Le French GourMay, Everything we had that night was amazing. My favourites were the Raie au Beurre Noisette et Salade Fenouil. It was pan roasted skate wing, brown butter sauce, fennel and lemon salad The Skate wing was such a treat because you can get it everywhere in Europe but rarely in HK. The skate was soft and supple flavoured with the delicious buttery sauce. Finished with Floating Islands, vanilla sauce which is another one of my favourite French desserts with delicious egg white in creamy vanilla sauce complemented by the delicious berries.

Such a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Central. Afternoon tea here is especially great... but be ready for quite a substantial range of mini sandwiches and little cakes and desserts.
